I'm potentially interested- you mention in the rules a "system" that you're going to incorporate. Could you expand a little on that for me?

Well, I could never turn down a Final Fantasy theme-based RP--legit, FFVI, first game I picked up when I was three. I'd like to reserve a slot too! //snags lucky number slot seven~ :3

As a note~ The character I was thinking of was going to be a Viera.
I fell into that purgatory between waking and dreaming, the transient space existing between conscious and subconscious. It was beautiful... ephemeral. And I could not help but wish to stay forever.

You're in luck... as I'm sure you've read that is one of the races... I'm letting you all know right now that I will be posting the races/classes with minimal description... However they will have their maximums for character creation... Know there is a lot more to the descriptions that are being placed that is relevant to the world we're in so keep updated. I will definitely be reading your characters once submitted so i expect you to constantly follow the OOC... Know there will be a lot of Information that will flood the OOC at first but It will be everything you need to have/know for this RP.

I have upgraded the characters sheets so if you have been filling it out be sure to add in the changes... there is a new way I'm doing skills to make it easier on you as well.

Information of the classes will be added later today.

This is just like an FF RP my friend made about a year ago but no one except him and I posted so it kinda died off due to us waiting on the others. Count me in. I won't be able to make a character until later tonight due to being in the Military and only having free time then.

Just letting everyone else know that after much debate, option weighing, and personality development: I am caught between two classes. Ninja and Red Mage. I just thought it would be best to post this here so in case there was debate over who was going to be what, then potentially it can be discussed. Hopefully I will be able to make a final decision soon :3c I guess I'm trying to weigh which would be more plausible and which would be best in the setting of the world! I know I've never gotten through any FF game without a healer, which is one of the main reasons the red mage position is calling to me. But both classes have their pros and cons so really just stuck in the middle...

Also, I am loving the information that is being added! I have an adoration for detail so this seems to be shaping up excellently.

Also like to point something out and I have a question. The thing I want to point out is that you forgot Scorpio on the Zodiac signs.

And my question is, how do we know our class maximum for attributes points? I am kind of confused as to how the Racial and Class Maximums fit together in character creation.

Also so people know I am planning on making a male Vierra ninja.

Sonic is still to put them up :) I'm sure it wont be long.

I've always loved the viera since seeing them, but I've never particularly liked physical classes much myself. I've always chosen a magic user. I usually go for the Black mages. Sometimes White mages or summoners, but regardless, all magic. That's the reason Vivi and Lulu are my favourites. Then Dagger from 9 as well. :D

What's everyone else's favourite characters?

(We're going to be RPing together, we might as well get to know each other a little better.)

Favorite FF character huh? Well I really like Zidane, like a lot. I think Zidane and Red XIII are my favorite characters overall.

Also a comment about the Vierra in the races OOC. It says their hair is universally silver, but there are plenty of Vierra with colored hair to blend in with the humans better.
"Viera have silver hair, though those who choose to live among humes often color their hair in shades of brown or black".
So I guess what I am asking is will my Vierra be strictly limited to silver hair or can it be naturally silver and artificially colored something else?

I knoooow, the Viera quickly turned into one of my favorite races after their first initial appearance. Though to be fair, moogles are so adorable--eee, FFIX moogles are my favorite versions.

I've always loved mages--best classes, best characters, hands down. I was a bit saddened when I noted that geomancers were not included in the mage types :c That is one of my favorite jobs. And it does the full play on "elemental reliance" as well that the Viera are known for.

As per characters: My personal favorites are Terra and Relm from FFVI... actually, everyone from FFVI, that game is the best! But I also love Garnet, Vivi, and Lulu too. I have a soft spot for Eiko though, foreverrejected.jpg by Zidane. "I see the waterfall reflected in your eyes, Zidane." LOL That girl.

Man, I just love FF in general. *^*

I moan about a few things in it occasionally but in all honesty, I love FF9. Eiko cracked me up constantly. I doubt it would have been the same without her attempts at flirting. Though it's a little weird when you remember she's six and he's sixteen. :/ Besides that though, the game was amazing.

I've never played FFVI unfortunately. I would ask "any good?" but I already know the answer. :D
I'm with you Igari, I love FF in general as well! XD

Re: Final Fantasy: Chronicles Of Odin

FFIX is actually my second-favorite Final Fantasy game~ I do have to remind myself sometimes their age difference as Eiko tends to come across a bit older than she actually *is* but I think that's what makes it all the more hilarious. It's really just puppy-dog love.

Okay, FFVI. Is. The. Best. Ever. And I will give good reasons TOTES in the way I enjoy--Comparing the villain everyone *seems* to love (Sephiroth) and the villain that is the best in my opinion (Kefka).

1. One-winged angel, eh Sephiroth? Try SIX WINGED GOD for KEFKA. Unce.
2. When Sephiroth got angry and wished to strike at Cloud's morale, he murders Aerith. (To prevent her from finishing her prayer and such). When Kefka wanted to get revenge? He poisons the river and kills everyone in Doma (a kingdom) except for Cyan--the retainer of the king who joins with your party afterwards.
3. Sephiroth is actually doing things all for J-E-N-O-V-A (*real villain*). Kefka is his own boss.
4. Sephiroth tried to destroy the world with the black materia. He was stopped. Kefka actually flippin' did. He re-arranged the god statues, reformed the world, mutated the monsters--killed over hundreds of thousands of people--subjugated nearly all of the towns and cities, created his tower from all the debris from the places he destroyed, created his own army of mutant monsters, transformed himself into a literal god--and made the three creators of the world (the god statues) his slaves.
5. Kefka's laugh. Just. Yes.
6. Sephiroth goes insane when he finds out his heritage. Kefka on the other hand was always a twisted, sick, insane bastard.

Don't get me wrong--I've played every FF game so that does include FFVII. I don't rate the games based on most popular but by the ones that impacted me the most. FFVI had the most touching setting, characters. And just when you think things were getting predictable, the world is destroyed and that's just the beginning of the game. Literally. Every character was memorable and I cried whilst playing. And the DIALOGUE, so snarky and hilarious XD

Two of the best lines from Locke:
"Call me treasure hunter or I'll rip your guts out!"
"I'll return and Terra... don't let a lecherous young king, who shall remain nameless, near you!"

Though I think Terra takes the cake with her comment when first meeting Sabin:
"Your... brother? For a second there, I thought he was a body builder that had strayed from his gym..."
