Wow. LOVE the concept. If I could grab the silver tongue that would be outstanding. He'd be a bit of a magic user, a moderately talented fighter, and a musician a jack of all trades if you will. Obviously I'll be playing to emphasize his wit and creativity. In terms of magic, nothing terribly major. I'm not going to be tossing fireballs or summoning lightning. The magic I have in mind works a little more like physics and rune craft. You can pm me for details.

My ideas aren't anything big and I highly doubt it would drastically hinder the plot, lol. Anyways I was thinking that my character has a family member (spouse, brother or child, haven't decided yet) or friend that went missing in some sort of event. To try and find this person, my character joins the crew. I'd imagine that he/she has probably been with the crew for a while (If I am incorrect with this, then please correct me) so the crew would have some kind of theory or so about this. I don't think I will make my character particularly open about this topic, lol.
Do you mind all of this? I thought I'd go through it with you beforehand. ^^

That sounds good, but it would be better for the plot if your character had not told the crew you are looking for your family member yet, they will have their own theories later at your reveal. However, that sounds completely fine and is the imaginative thinking that I hope will help this role play thrive. Looking forward to your character!
