Ranakia stared at the city she was expected to destroy... her greatsword held drawn out of her strap on her armored shoulder, her eyes suddenly alight with battle lust. It would be a lie if she said she didnt enjoy battles... the wind sweeping between the gaps in her black armor.. she smiled at this warm pleasantness. The calm before the storm.

She had to be ruthless in this battle... she needed to become a hero of darkness to get back all she cherished... what a strange contradiction, destroy in order to get. Grinning as she felt the familar surge of energy when she thought of her lover...

Smiling darkly underneath the vicous helmet, "Nothing.. not even those city walls, are going to stop me from winning." her blood began to rise, that soaring feeling before action... saying aloud, "Can you feel it loves? And we havent even been ordered to engage yet!" a dark chilling laughter rattling with her armor as she moved her arms, feeling so much adreniline pumping through them that her hands were shaking...

The front runners, the six calvary men sent to the city walls, came to an abrupt stop as an arrow flew past them to land in the dirt behind them. Their horses reared back, pawing the air in agitation. Reigning his horse in, the leader of the six raised a gloved hand high, showing his request to talk. The archers on the wall walk loosened their bowstrings, relaxing as their leader stepped forward.

"What have you to say? Speak now or die," the man said. At his words, the archers pulled their strings back, taking deadly aim at the four knights.

The young leader of the calvary men pulled his reigns, causing his horse to step backwards slowly. "Voric Knighthood!" he announced, trying to remember the exact words said to him by Quasim. "The Lord Quasim requests a total surrender of your forces within the city!"

The leader of the Voric Knighthood laughed harshly. "Indeed? And what will he do if we surrender?"

"He said he will let your women and children go free. All men will be drafted into his service," the man said, gaining confidence.

Taking this into consideration, the man put his fingers on his chin. After a moment he looked down to the man on the horse. "And if we refuse?" he asked.

"You will be slaughtered." The ultimatum came as no shock to any involved, for this was war and in time of war, vicious, brutal things were done in the name of progress.

The leader of the Voric defenses chuckled, looking to his fellows, who stared at him as if he were insane. "You tell your Lord Quasim something for me, will you?" he asked, raising his hand.

At his command, a hundred archers took aim and fired onto the six horsemen.

Skallagrim watched with a cold neutrality as the six horsemen sent down to offer terms to the defenders of the city, fell to the arrows of said defenders. Turning back to Fenron, Skallagrim bowed slightly and mounted his skeletal charger again, looking down at the dead men, the grave born voice hissed, "Be safe my friend, I shall expect to see you again in the council chambers of the city below."

Wheeling his mount around Skallagrim and his retinue raced away towards the lines of heavy cavalry positioned to the right of the army, their banners fluttering and swaying in the wind. The dull black armor offset by the amethyst runes that were etched on the plate. The long wicked tipped spears, held high, ready to be lowered at the command to charge.

As Skallagrim raced across the lines, he slowed and turned near the middle, his captains had raced to their wings, along with their banner men. The die had been cast, the attack was now inevitable, the Dragon would see the death of the men sent down as an invitation to slaughter. Skallagrim turned and looked back at the command, perhaps the Dragon had wanted this.

Arrows rained down, pinning the men beneath them. One man and one man alone was left alive, his horse intact. Sticking from the man's shoulder, between the armor pieces, were three arrows. More pierced his sides. As he slipped from consciousness, his weight pulled him from the saddle. The horse panicked at the offset weight, the smell of blood, and the arrow stuck in its rear end. Turning, the horse galloped off full speed, hooves pounding the ground, unaware that its rider's foot had been caught in the stirrup. The young calvary man trailed behind the horse, bloody, battered, and unconscious by the time the horse crashed into the front lines of the Shadow Knights. Soldiers scattered left and right, fleeing the carnage the frightened beast created. One brave man stepped forward, his lance out. Unable to stop, the horse tried to avoid the man but caught the tip of the lance. As the steel tip dug into the horse, it let out a shrill scream, falling to its knees and tumbling head over hocks to land dead at the feet of the Great Lord Quasim.

Looking at the animal in disgust, the dragon looked up to the castle walls. The defenders had made the wrong choice, to be sure. The dragon looked to the men before him, his eyes gleaming. "Prepare the siege towers," he ordered, pointing to the towers at the back lines. "I want them on the walls before noon."

-Blode-
Shifting awkwardly, a soldier saluted his commander. "Sir, permission to speak?"

"Permission granted, Gabe," the commander said, waving to the younger knight in annoyance.

"The men are asking what to do, sir. The soldiers who are not archers, that is."

The commander looked into the courtyard, looking at the men. He stepped to the wall-walk's barrier and raised a hand. "Soldiers of the Voric Knighthood! Those of you not shooting arrows are to report back to your sleeping quarters! The battle will be long and we will need you to keep your strength up!" he ordered. Looking at the dragons circling above, he shook his head. The battle would be long, but without the dragons it would have lasted minutes. The commander knew well that the dragons kept the army on the horizon at bay. A single gold dragon could take out a large sum of men with minimal effort. Turning around, he watched the wild horse run helter skelter, up the hill, until the lost clear sight of the beast. Most of the soldiers on the horizon were mere dots. From a distance the army was vast. Up close, the army was no doubt ten times the size of what the commander could see.

Tobi dived to his right as he watched the horse, wich had hit the lance, crash past two men and almost topple him over, "Ouch!!!", he stood up again "Right......thats it.....Im not going down there.....im just going to turn around...And walk towards those trees over there" he said as he started to walk towards a group of 6 trees just on the edge of the armies formation. Upon reaching there he jumped upwards into the trees, and sat down and leant against the trunk. His foot lazily drooped off the edge of the branch as he watched, slightly nervous as he looked near the walls to see hundreds of arrows in the ground and 5 dead men and horses.

Tobi looked around slightly, wandering what would happen if he sent a weak fire ball shooting towards the archers at the wall. He chuckles slightly at the thought and held his hand out, gathering as much strengh as possible, and drawing all his magic into his hand, building up a fire ball. A small smoke cloud appeared and when it went, the think Tobi saw instead was so shocking his jaw dropped and he fell out of the tree. Landing with a thud on the ground, he looked at the fire concentrated in the end of his finger, this he had never done before "WOW.......I think ive just created a new spell..........." He pointed his index finger out, pointing it towards the sky above the archers on the wall. He then fired it. ALthough to Tobi's discust, the fire took the shape of a weak arrow and fired towards the wall, losing height in the air and stabbing into the wall right next to an archer, who jumped back in shock as a small fire spread across, wich was quickly put out by the soldiers. Tobi, who watched this happen from the shadow knight ranks, almost burst out laughing as he saw the soldier jump away from the fire arrow. "Well...Atleast my new spell does have its advantages.....well...since it takes the form and aerodinamics of an arrow, and the fact its completely made out of fire...ill call it 'Fire arrow'." He said, watching his finger wich was slightly orange firery color at the end, with the tip of an arrow poking out, he got rid of what little power he could draw and the flames on the end of his finger dissapeared. "Well....hopefully ill be able to see what damage this does when it actually hits someone..." Tobi muttered as he leaned back against the trunk again. The arrow, wich must have thlown atleast 2 miles towards the castle showed it had good range.....But unfortunately Tobi knew even if it did hit it wouldn't have much power. But still, atleast he wasn't completely hopeless now, Tobi couldn't wait to tell his uncle the fact he made his own spell, even if it was a weak one.

Keara listened as Storm spoke; she nodded to her and looked to the front lines as a lone rider was dragged back to the army, by his horse, his foot caught in the saddle. A man thrust a sword into the Horse causing it to fall at Lord Quasim’s feet. "Prepare the siege towers," he ordered, pointing to the towers at the back lines. "I want them on the walls before noon.”

Keara nodded and looked up at Pyrrus “It is time” she said quietly to him, she stood up and clambered back into his saddle her, her sword still in its sheath at her side “Ready Pyrrus” she said with a grin. Pyrrus turned his head round to her looking at her through his brass coloured eye “I am always ready” he said to her with a chuckle, and stood up, shaking his wings again and folding them back to his side. He let out a roar, flame bursting out of his jaws.

Tobi jumped as he noticed a dragon roar, he looked to where the noise came from and watched the fire spurt from the ranks "FIRE ATTACK!" Tobi yelled foolishly diving towards the trees and running, he leaned against them, looking back towards the flames and watched as part of the dragons fire breath brushed against the ground, causing a small fire infront of the ranks, wich would most likely spread quickly if not put out.

Tobi hid and started muttering pointless stupid things again, and then jumped as high as he could and landed almost on top of the tree, After realising it was the dragons breath with his now birds eye view point (With the help of the tree), he sighed. Calming down instantly. he then chuckled as the flame reminded him of hte arrow he shot at the soldier before. Tobi then got an idea, his eye opened and he grinned as another pupil appeared on top of the old one, the pupil then span wildly and fastly around the one centred in the middle, eventully another Tobi appeared on the tree. Tobi, kept his eye on the illusion of himself, wich was now running at high speed towards the castle wall(This eye power was given to him by his uncle, one of the best black mages, and this illusion can only be detected for what it really is by high and powerfull magics and magic beings like quasim, to most who look at it the illusion will just look and feel like a normal person...feel as in theriotically..not physically). Tobi grinned, he couldnt wait to see the soldiers reactions. Of cource this was supposed to be a battle, but Tobi was now merely wasting his energy on things to send at the wall, to humor himself and pass the time and find out the soldiers reactions until Quasim gave the order to charge, (Not counting the fact that when he did Tobi would charge...But in the oposite direction).

The heavy cavalry sat still, the non-living eyes traced the wisp of magic that ran across the field towards the city walls. Skallagrim noticed this as well, reaching out, searching for the resonance, the source of the magic. Grasping the threads of quintessence, Skallagrim followed them to a tree.

If he could frown he would have as the mage in the tree seemed to be weaker than any of the others the army employed. Looking again at the small image running towards the wall, fueling the illusion with his own quintessence the image sparked slightly then grew in size, until it towered over the walls. The image of the mage now held a fearsome and terrible visage, as it ran towards the defenders.

Skallagrim thrummed his resonance so that the quintessence would loop and feed the illusion as long as the mage who controlled it kept it's form.

Dratas walked down the halls the same way he did before randomly setting fire to the building. He soon was outside in the main road. He cackled menacingly as he set fire to a prisoner that was also a Demon Rider.
"We're on the same side!" he bellowed as he burnt to a crisp.
"Feh... You all burn the same." and set him on fire again.
Dratas was at the same place where the invisible wall was. Since the guards were either busy running around or putting out the fires. He gave a tap at the space, the air rippled towards the gate frames. Confused at this puzzle he simply destroyed the wall around the gate. There was no force at that point and he simply walked on by.
"See how much easier it is just to destroy things?" he gave a loud whistle and a horse's demonic neigh could be heard from the sky. A skeletal Pegasus flew down in front of Dratas and he quickly got on and kicked the horse to take off.
Once airborne Dratas started to talk to the skeleton horse.
"We need a place to hide, and a place to recruit more riders. As fun as that was we can't face Shadow Knights alone." the horse jerked his head as if he acknowledged his statement and increased in speed.

Tobi jumped in shock slightly as he watched his illusion grow so big it towered "Wow.....I'm more powerfull than i thought" Obviously he didn't realise someone else made it bigger. The illusion Tobi moved towards the walls, but didn't engage the soldiers...as the real Tobi didn't want to give away that it wasn't actually there. The archers on the wall, who were panicking slightly, fired hundreds of arrows at the giant illusion of Tobi. The arrows, of cource went through the illusion and landed in the mud behind it like there was nothing there. Tobi looked worried slightly, thinking he had gone to far. But he then had an idea, why get rid of it now, he was weak, but the least he could do was lower the morale of the soldiers and scare the living daylights of the people inside the city.....But then they would recognise the orange mask that covered Tobis face if they saw him. And there was of cource Quasim, who might punish him if he did something without orders. But he took the chance, he wanted to close his eye but he couldnt, or the illusion would dissapear, so he watched as the giant illusion stepped over the wall, carefully not touching the stone because other wise it would go straight through, and they would figure it out. Then the illusion Tobi started stamping around the city, and the screams of terror from the citizens inside could be heard even from the place where Tobi was.

Tobi was laughing under his breath, as the illusion started doing a very very weird egyption type dance through the city, wich on that, after some evil glances from some of the soldiers, Tobi stepped back slightly, the second pupil on his eye dissapearing, along with the illusion.

Skallagrim turned to the flag bearers of Death's Kiss, the heavy cavalry of the Shadow Knights. Nodding to them they hefted the ruffled banners and began to wave the same order, to pull back slowly and watch the siege engines perform their tasks.

Skallagrim reached out with resonance and quintessence to seek the sources of magical energy of the city defenders, feeling them and their various strengths. As he did so a familiar thrum if energy was felt, the dead magus from the gaol was free. Skallagrim nodded, the amethyst lights that comprised his eyes swirled and focused on the direction the pattern of resonance thrummed. Swirling the dark energies of quintessence around himself, Skallagrim sent a grave born sound to echo and flutter around the magus, "I am hopeful you find others to fight with, one Demon Rider cannot hope to resist the power of the Shadow Knights." As the words faded, Skallagrim focused on the city below as the cavalry moved back and out of sight of the city defenders.

"I am hopeful you find others to fight with, one Demon Rider cannot hope to resist the power of the Shadow Knights." said the familiar voice of Skallagrim.
"Doesn't this guy have anything better to do?" he asked himself as he almost lost his grip on the reigns. "If you're going to keep following me I suppose there is something you want."
Flying above Dratas didn't know if the knight said anything, he didn't even know where he was. He soon made his way to an abandoned church. He decided to rest here, well in the graveyard. He had issues with Holy ground. He took his spot in an unfinished grave and tossed the dead carcuss out and took its place, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

-Fenron and Storm-
Shifting his weight, Fenron leaned against Storm. The battle ahead would be tougher than Yetis Moor. They were the attackers this time, they had the disadvantage. Patting Storm's side, Fenron smiled. "How do you think you'll be, fighting against a gold dragon?" he asked.

Storm snorted. "There are two gold dragons over that city. I dont think I'll be challenging them if I can help it," she said, tossing her head in defiance. Her wings fluttered, causing Fenron's long black hair to fly around his face. The white dragon chuckled deeply, turning her head so her nose nudged up against the werewolf's back.

Fenron smiled. His good mood lasted moments, though, for he turned and looked towards the Great Lord Quasim and saw something he hadn't expected to see until mid battle.

-Quasim-
The great dragon strode forward with a purpose. He took hold of a soldier's horse, calming the beast with his magic. Grabbing the soldier's foot, Quasim pushed up, sending the man flying off the saddle. Quasim put his foot in the stirrup, mounting the horse. Leaning over the right of his horse, he pulled a sword from a man's belt. Hoisting the sword high with his right hand, he pulled the reigns tightly left, turning the horse in a circle.

"Speed it up with the siege towers!" he shouted, kicking his horse forward. The animal pushed forward, between a gallop and a canter. Quasim maneuvered the horse to a siege tower, using the flat of his sword to slap the ogres on the back. "Speed it up! Push harder!" he demanded. "At this rate, we will never reach the city!"

The three ogres pushing the siege tower grunted, leaning down, pushing their shoulders into the movement of the tower. Even as the minotaur soldiers whipped them, they pushed forward, grunting softly to each other in what must have been a neutral agreement to rip the cow-men limb from limb.

Quasim watched the siege towers move to the front lines. Raising the sword again, he pointed to the city. "Soldiers! March upon the city!" The dragon spun his horse, scanning the battlefield for the men he needed. There were dragons standing in the back of the ranks, their wings flexing in anticipation. Not quite yet, the dragon lord thought dryly. Let the towers come, then see what they make of it.

The Death's Kiss sat silently, their amethyst glow focused on the barely visible city walls from their position behind the apex of the hill. The subtle magic of Skallagrim flowed and ebbed as he focused his energies and study the resonance of the city.

The city had the energies and fears of the citizens, their belief in the walls to protect them gave the city resonance the strength of a living being. The absolute certainty of their faith in the massive walls, gave the walls thrum a secondary vibration, that of the living beings encased behind them. Focusing the dark energies that coursed through him, Skallagrim tried to locate the greatest source of that faith, that almost spiritual belief that the walls would hold against the power of the Shadow Knights.

The strengthening forces slowly shimmered and thrummed into view, they were the Voric Knights who had claimed the city as their capitol. Their belief in their own prowess to resist the Shadow Knights gave the people the belief in their walls to resist the ocean of soldiers surging towards them.

Summoning more of the dark energies to himself, Skallagrim slowly began to weave a thrumming vibration to try and offset the power of the defenders. Weaving a pattern of weakness that would rise up and meet the strength of the walls, however it was a single Xindhi against the combined faith of a city of thousands. As Skallagrim focused and weaved the tapestry of resonance, infusing it with the strength of the dark energies from the shadow realms. Skallagrim knew his power could only affect a solitary section of wall, he would have to weave the pattern where the siege engines showed promise of defeating the defenders stationed above them.

-Kirstana Stormblade-
Carrying the bow over her shoulder, Kirstana Stormblade ascended the stairs with pure determination. Following close behind her, ten of the best archers the Knighthood and those towns around had been able to provide. They carried their bows in the ready position, arrows notched, strings thrumming with tension. Behind them, there were two hundred more men, ready to add their arrows to the one hundred archers on the Northern wall. Standing above the city, Kirstana and the ten expert's well-trained eyes watched the lot cast to them, the death descending from the North-Eastern spans of the country. Kirstana's eyes watched the towers grow larger, the armies moving in on the city. The Voric Knighthood held thousands of soldiers in the city on a daily basis. In times of war, there were close to three times the normal amount of knights walled within the city. Having at their disposal backup troops from the south, east, and west, the city of Blode could be overtaken and then attacked on three sides by the other forces around the continent. Victory seemed to be something they could get, but they hadn't seen the might of the army push its weight around yet. There was much to know.

Kirstana pointed to her soldiers, then to the wall. "Line yourselves up. Every other archer, keep your bows drawn. The rest of you stand in waiting," she said. If they had three-hundred-and-eleven archers on the wall, and one-hundred-fifty-five of them shot at once, followed immediately by the other hundred-fifty-five, they could achieve a constant barrage, though it would be quite a small amount of arrows shooting into quite a large amount of soldiers. Their chances of survival greatly diminished with every passing breath from their bodies.

Kirstana turned to look to the troops when she felt suddenly cold, a wave of dread washing over her body, causing her to shiver uncomfortably. Jaret, an elite archer, stepped forward. Bowing slightly to the woman who was in command of the archers, he said stiffly, "The men have had a sudden lack of moral."

Kirstana shivered slightly, placing her hand over her quiver to assure her there were arrows there. Looking down, she saw arrows in baskets every five feet along the wall. Reassured, she looked back to Jaret. "There is little I can do," she said. Turning to the line of archers, she raised her bow to call attention to herself. "Men, if your aim is true and your timing is right, we will win the battle today!" she called, a pitiful attempt at raising the moral after what had happened.

Warrgh Spinbreak

Warrgh and his Jarls stood in a semi-circle, watching the distant siege towers move slowly forward the great muscled orges pushing them with a grim determination. His voice low, 'Well we have begun haven't we?" Turning to the others Warrgh eyed each Orc, their faces a study in controlled anger.

Nodding to each Warrgh growled, "Prepare them, have the bowmen ready to fire at the command of the hooms. We shall fight with honor and skill, and each Orc that dies shall bring many of the cursed Shadow Knights with them to Ashur-hjal, for hell shall have the honor of the Shadow Knights as guests." The Jarls all chuckled at the joke, their eyes gleamed as they watched their leader, Warrgh.

Turing back to the oncoming weapons of war, the great orc unslung his bow, "Let us prepare to rain hell upon them, eh?" The others nodded and went to their various companies of orcs, swiftly the word spread, and the massed Orc bowmen drew their great seven-foot bows and notched the two-foot arrows with the wickedly shaped heads.

They waited until their leader fired, once he did, so would they, 8,000 orcs and their long bows prepared to fire.

"WOW......things are really getting started now...." Tobi looked around at the Orcs and there bows...."Wow...they are big.....im glad im not on those walls." He then looked down at the mighty ogres pushing the towers. "Well atleast theyve got cover from there archers....." he muttered something and started walking further into the 6 trees, as to hope when the fight of archers began, non would hit him. That and the fact the trees gave cover. And they were climable, so he could see what was happening.

He stopped in the middle and climbed a tree, stopping on a high branch he sat there and watched at the walls and the ogres pushing towards it with the towers. "Wow.....this is just like those plays of the great battles of old....But it would be better if i had my grapes with me." (Tobi's favourite food is grapes, whenever he is seen eating hes usually eating grapes....although no-one knows how he eats because he has never been seen without the orange mask on before)Tobi continued to watch with eager interest, reaching into his cloak pocket and pulling out a pile of parchment, the first 3 on the pile were drenched with ink, so he chucked those, he then pulled out a quill and a tub of ink, wich was slightly spilled "I really need to get a lid for this thing..." he muttered as he dipped the qull in the ink, and then started scribbling on his paper, after about 5 minutes he stopped, putting everything back in his pocket except the paper he scribbled on. Tobi held it up to the sky, and looked at it.

It was a bueatifully drawn picture of the wall of thrones, and hundreds of archers on the wall witht here bows raised, the strings not drawn back. It showed the arrows of the archers flying in a volley formation through the air, about to rain down on the army of atleast 20 thousand and the 20 ogres and seige towers that were in the middle of the ranks.

"I always were good at drawing" he said he smiled at his accomplishment, the battle had gave him inspiration atleast. This picture may even be used in class rooms thousands of years from now when people studied the great battles of today, specifically the one Tobi was watching now. Tobi grinned, and then, with his eye open in shock, he fell backwards out of the tree, landing with a thud on the ground and sending a few leaves flying.

"I wish that would stop happening!" he said slightly winded as he got up. He walked towards a tree and leaned against it, looking at the ogres and seige towers.

-Quasim-
The siege towers slowly pushed forward by the brute strength of the plodding ogres. The army marched in formation, following the ten Siege towers. The towers themselves stood fifty feet tall, made of wooden scaffolding boxed in with sheets of thin metal, a result of plundering armor of the dead Demon Riders and melting it in a shallow basin. The metal was easily pierced by arrows, but resistant to fire. Of course, what the goblins building the towers hadn't realized was that the towers created an oven effect on the inside. Thankfully, the sun was not high in the sky as the towers drew closer to the city walls and would cause no problems in the towers.

Quasim spurred his horse onward, weaving in and out of the troops, his horse navigating the narrow paths between soldiers with the ease of a born warhorse. It could have also had something to do with the magical enchantment Quasim had cast over the creature so it would carry his human form into battle. He slapped the flat side of his sword on a man's breastplate, bringing him to a sudden stop and stopping the rest of his company as well. Quasim pointed to the archers on the wall, then to the front gate. "I want you and your men to find a way to that gate without being detected by the archers. Their attention will be on the siege towers, it shouldn't be too hard a task," he said, his face showing no emotion.

"Yes, Lord Quasim. I thank you humbly for this task," the man said. He waved his hand to his men, who broke apart and scattered to the wind, slinking to the far left of the Shadow Knight army, an area with no siege towers and an area not likely to be seen. As the siege towers neared the walls, only a hundred feet or so away, the twenty men charged with getting to the front gate slipped out of the ranks, making a wide arch to use the ground to the best of their ability, hiding from sight until they got to the gates.

-Kirstana-
Every other archer pulled back on their bowstrings, waiting the call. The towers had moved close enough to be shot, but the glimmering exterior caused hesitation. Looking to Kirstana for directions, the archers held their place. Kirstana stood at the stairs, looking down upon the men and orcs in the courtyard. Few had retired to their sleeping quarters to wait for the battle. They stood, indifferent to the orders of the commander. Battle was on their minds, none would get rest even if they wanted to. Sighing, the woman turned to the archers, who stared at her questioningly. Turning her attention to the siege towers, she saw why.

"They armored their towers?" she asked in disbelief. Setting fire to the towers seemed to be out of the question now, and she cursed under her breath. "Men, do not fire on the towers, it will do no good. Take the ogres down!" she commanded. She stared at the towers as they neared, waiting to find their weak point. Every army, man, beast and object had a weak point. As an archer, it was her job to find it.

The first volley of arrows lifted into the sky, raining death upon the army, targeting the ogres pushing the towers. That initial volley saw ten ogres fall to them. Others took their place, running from the far reaches of the army. For every ogre shot down, two more took the place. As the archers fired continuous shots into the army, the men below raised their shields above their heads, causing most arrows to slip by harmlessly, pinging off the armor.

The first wave of the battle had begun...

The shower of arrows rained constantly over the battlefield.. the feathered shafts often going both ways at similar times.. filling the blue sky above them, covering out the sun for a split second before screams of terror filled both sides...

The soldiers in front rose large shield to protect themselves and their fellow archers, often taking time to gather the enemies ammuntion for reuse.

The black armored woman waited, her green eyes shining dangerously underneath her helmet. Her smiling widening eagerly for a chance to strike down the enemy.. the massive blade thrust into the ground beside her as she waited...

Her whispery voice said aloud, "Soon.. very soon.. they will breach..."

As soon as the humans fired, Warrgh let loose with the black arrow, followed a moment later with the rest of the orc arrows, flying up and over the wall. The trajectory a nice gentle arc, over the wall, reaching the apex and then descending down towards the towers and the brutish creatures pushing them.

Notching another arrow, the orcs fired again, 16,000 arrows blanketing the skies and falling upon the ten towers and their beasts of burden. After the second volley, Warrgh drew his great sword. The orcs followed suit, great swords, axes or hammers all drawn and held ready. The light of the day glinting evilly off the sharpened edges.

Turning to the orcs closest to him, Warrgh snarled, "Be ready brothers...today we break the strength of the Shadow Knights."
