DragonBall Z: Before Kakarot[OOC]

This is an RP idea that I got after playing DBZBT3. Hope it's good enough for you people...

Before Planet Vegeta's destruction, before Kakarot's birth, and even before Prince Vegeta, the planet Vegeta was a safe haven for the Saiyan race. The Saiyans could train in peace and many were able to achieve even Super Saiyan 3. The Saiyans looked forward to a happy future. But, Saiyan-hating creatures began appearing and killing off the Saiyans. The Saiyans began fighting back, but many ended up dead. Families are torn apart while others wait to meet their fate. Will the Saiyan race prevail, or will Planet Vegeta end up gone?



I understand this is a DBZ RP, but rules need to be set.

-You may have only one character at a time. If your character is killed, either have it revived or I will allow you another.
-Swearing is allowed, just don't use a cuss every other word.
-Romance is allowed, but NO SEX. Take it to the PM's, people.
-Wait to be accepted. No if's, and's, or but's.
-We need some villains. Not everyone can be a Saiyan.

Name: Sindarin Pethes
Age: 23
Saiyan or enemy?: A powerfull young Namekian, enemy of the Saiyan race.

Appearance: A young Namekian with bright pink puscle patches and green skin colour. His two antennae are 4 inches in length and his ears stick back. His eyes are dark, and he wears a white vest, with white trousers and black sandles. He also wears a black belt, with a flag goind down his front of his knees. On the back of his vest is the symbol of the Namekian who trained him. A black rain cloud with black raind rops falling from it.

Personality: Energetic and enthusiastic. He is not exactly evil, but instead believes on a sense of honour that the Saiyan are too dangerous to be allowed to live. He often pulls pranks on his elders and uses that knowledge in battle.

Bio(optional): Sindarin grew up like most warrior Nameks. He hatched from his egg and began training, showing great skill and potential. By the time he was 10, his basic power level was 13,000 and he could get it to 20,000 by charging his Ki. By the time he was 20, his basic power level was 20,000, getting it up to 25,000 by charging his Ki, his Basic power level is constantly increasing. During his childhood he was also taught to hate the Saiyan race, that they were evil monsters and that one day he, and many other brave Nameks would have to stop them once and for all

Other: He uses four main Kii moves:


Burst Attack- bring hands to side as if to charge a kamehameha but, hands are parallel to one another instead of touching. Charge a ki ball in between hands then lift it above your head before throwing. Ki is super heated.

Ki No Tsurugi -Ki Sword-: A Ki beam that shoots out somewhat as an extension of the hand and can be swung and stabbed to cut or pierce enemies.


Kuchikarakikouha: a energy beam shot from the mouth.

Energy Barrier- The barrier is formed from a concentrated form of ki. The user crosses his arm in front of his chest like an X and the barrier forms around the user giving him a 5 foot radius from his body. The barrier can withstand most physical and energy base attacks. The barrier is fueled by his ki so if his concentration is broken or ki runs out he becomes unable to use the barrier anymore.

Age: Around 2500 years old (fairly young for his kind, about the equivilant of a 20-25 year old human)

Saiyan or enemy?: Why don't you decide? I'll go with whichever. Bu Drago's race is called Drake.

~Home World~
Draconis - Draconis is the home world of Drago and his kind. The dragon-like warriors of Draconis are called Drakes. As explained below, all Drakes are expected to live and fight by Ryuu-Bushi, the Drake's code of honor. This code seems to have influenced some of the warrior cultures of ancient Earth (ie the Samurai or Knight), as Draconis is a much older planet than that of Earth. Drake's are, essentially, dragons with a humanoid body-shape and stature. Unlike most races, who fight with traditional-looking martial arts, Drakes use a style that emphasizes the claws and tail as additional weapons on top of the normal punches and kicks. Strangely enough, the Ki energy of Drakes bears strong resemblance to Fire, and is said to even be capable of burning in the same manner. One of the signature traits of Drakes, is their ability to spit blasts of fiery ki from their mouths.

Personality: Whether good or evil, all Drake's follow a strict code of honor. The code, called Ryuu-Bushi, stresses that you must always:

1. Honor your word.
2. No task is to be left half-completed.
3. Never back down from a challenge.
4. Fight with honor (This means you must follow most of the rules of engagement: particularly the parts about no attacking civillians and the like).

Drago is no exception to this. He lives and fights in accordance with the Drake's code of Ryuu-Bushi. Drago also has his own saying passed through his family specifically: "If you go into battle expecting to die, then surely you shall triumph... But if you fight in the hopes of survival, then surely you shall die." this quote, Drago was raised to learn, means that you should never fight unless you either 1) Know you will win, or 2) Are prepared to die.

Bio(optional): Born and trained on Draconis, Drago was always one of the most talented warriors among his generation of Drake hatchlings. Not only did he master the Drake's signature move: Kushikasai (Spitfire) at younger age then the rest of his generation, but he also quickly mastered the more advanced technique: Kasaiken (Firesword), a Ki-Sword technique unique to Drake's due to their fiery ki. Drago even invented a new technique for the Drake Style arsenal: Kasai-Ryuu (Fire-Dragon), in which his whole body is covered in red-hot, fiery ki, and results in Drago moving exponentially increased speeds (it was inspired by the fire move Pikon uses, only Drago was able to improve it). Draconis is relatively close to Planet Vegeta (being in the same solar system), so when mysterious invaders began attacking Planet Vegeta, Drago was sent to investigate. Drago has yet to get involved in the fighting, as his mission is to only discover what kind of effect (positive or negative) the invasion will have on Draconis. If the effect proves negative, then Drago will be allowed aid the Saiyans. If positive, then Drago is to return to Draconis and let the war fight itself.

~Techniques~

Kushikasai (Spitfire) - A blast of fiery ki is spat from the mouth. Very basic. This is is the first technique learned by Drakes. Drago mastered this much more quickly the rest of his generation.

Kasaiken (Firesword) - A user-generated sword made of ki, only it is fire-like due to the unique nature of a Drake's ki. Can also be varied into two, shorter dual swords in each hand, as well as the Daikasaiken, a fiery greatsword wielded with two hands.

Kasai-Ryuu (Fire-Dragon) - Invented by Drago, this technique completely covers his body in fiery ki. His speed, and even strength, is greatly increased for a brief time.

Feral Form - A transformation. The Drake doesn't literally become feral (ie four-legged dragon), but his mannerisms and the nature of his fighting becomes feral. Little physical changes are seen, save for an increase in muscle mass and perhaps extra horns. This transformation is frightenly powerful, comparible to the Super Saiyan transformations. Unlike Super Saiyan, which any Saiyan can access, the Feral Form is only born into one Drake every generation. This time around, Drago is the Feral. However, he has yet to unlock this transformation.

Personality: He is mentally insane and enjoys causing pain to others. He will sometimes start talking to people when no one is there mainly a person named Dade who is his imaginary brother. He will often start talking and ignoring others when they tell him something he dosen't want to here. He will often switch his emotional state for example one minute he could be happy another he could be angry. He will often enjoy being rude to people and enjoys fighting. He will often start fights with people against their wishes.

He will often slaughter innocent people for no apparent reason and often tortures other fighters until the point they want to die. He has a Sadastic sense of humor and will often laugh at things that are not even funny and make rude jokes. He often brags about his large amount of power and shows it off for no apparent reason. Despite his insane personality he is very perverted although he has no problem murderuing woman as well as men. He will sometimes make them do inappropiate things.

Bio(optional):Cabbon was born with the high power level of 100,000 something that was impossible! He was considered dangerous by some and some decided he was too dangerous as well even his own kind. He is the reason a group was formed to destroy all the saiyans because of the legend that every 1000 years someone with his type of power will be born. This was the first time this had happanned however and so the current king decided he could be a hero and a great warrior and against his better judgement let him live. The Baby at a young age transformed into the Gigia Super Saiyjin state or half super saiyjin state.

He went beserk and murdered his family until some Elders arrived to easily defeat him. Later they used advanced technology to supress his power although he still had a mental issue growing up and lived alone as know saiyan wanted to raise him fearing he would kill them. Later his Uncle decided to raise him and learned his power was growing and the supressor had only prevented him from accessing LSSJ. His uncle formed an organization to kill Cabbon they caused him to go SSJ simply because he powered up.

The Elders realized he had the power of all the SSJ forms and could acess their destructive power and he had already destroyed his Uncle and his organization. Cabbon was mentally unstable but they tried to make him into a weapon to help the universe but he rejected their help and instead unleashed his true power doing battle murdereing innocent saiyans and killing some powerful one's he deactivated the power supressors and escaped his home. The remaining Elders decided to form something called the Saiyan Army to annhilate him before he gained many enemies for the Saiyans.

Unfortunately the Elders realized that once Cabbon mastered his powers he would be unstoppable. Cabbon traveled to a planet where martial arts was tought as well as the ability to control various powers and abilties. Cabbon was still somewhat sane at the time so he was able to learn how to master his powers and learn many techniques such as Zanzoken,Telekinesis, Akumaito Kousen(Beam of evil), Bunkai teleport ect because of his almost limitless amount of energy.

Cabbon had gained so much power and than went LSSJ and destroyed the planet easily and therefore destroyed the only planet were one could learn to master nearly any skill. He left and went on ramapge causing destruction in the universe claiming he was the Legendary Super Saiyajin. He made many enemies for Planet Vegeta and saiyans and groups and has learned groups are attempting to destroy saiyans. He was angry and decided to go on a mission to eliminate all Saiyan haters as well as other powerful beings.

Abilties: Cabbon is the Legendary Super Saiayjin and therefore posses large amounts of power. He has the ability to perform Bukujutsu or flight. He has large amounts of superhuman strength and speed. His senses are enhanced due to the harsh training he has performed and is capable of wistanding large amounts of harm. He is capable of Ki manipulation the normal kind and as the LSSJ he can use Green ki a rare kind and the most powerful type of ki that can be used in various ways. He is capable of using all the normal SSJ forms and the LSSJ forms which he alone wields.

Techniques: Cabbon has traveled for a while and learned various offensive and defensive moves.
Instant Transmission: Allows the user to greatly increase the accuteness of their senses to locate a specific person's energy, then teleport to them over any distance, even between planets and Other World.

Instanteous Movement:It has the same effects as Instant Transmission except it is basically unlimited teleportation. Meaning you don't need to locate a specific energy signal.

Bunkai Teleport: Cabbon can instantly go anywhere by turning his own body into many cubes, then which changes the dimension instead of time.

Energy Barrier: With this technique, the user can create a shield around themselves which can withstand many attacks as long as the person has enough Ki to supply

Legendary Blast: A technique only he can use and it cannot be replicated. It uses Green Ki and is actually a blast of green ki it has various levels.
Very Thin: This is the weakest level although it is capable of going through objects and causing them to explode.
Small: The Small blast can easily eradicate cities and cause major damage to a plant
Regular Size: This blast can easily destroy planets with one shot and cause major damage.

Time Stop: Another attack he learned on the planet and one of the most useful in his arsenal. By holding their breath the user can momentarily stop time. This lasts as long as the user can hold their breath. When time is stopped opponents can be attacked mercilessly.

Regrowsu!:With this technique he absorbs blutz wave energy from moons even if they are far away to instantly regrow his extremly durable tail. He can also use it to heal himself and other wounds.

Other: He is the Legendary Super Saiyajin and has acess to the SSJ forms.He has the power to use LSSJ which only he can use.

Name: Apollyon; he often answers to "Oni" for the sake of brevity.
Age: 2338
Saiyan or enemy?: Enemy--Apollyon is an ancient demon of extraordinary power. Having lived for so very long, Apollyon has heard of the Saiyan race and the power they have the capability of achieving. Therefore, he will not suffer a Saiyan to live.

Appearance: Oni is tall and thin with slicked-back, platinum hair. His body is wiry, but his slight frame belies his unbelievable power. His physical form is that of a human, but his powers can manifest his outfit in a variety of ways. Apollyon prefers dark outfits, often covering himself in a long, heavy black trench coat, wearing lighter clothing beneath. Oni normally matches his clothing to the styles seen on whatever world he happens to inhabit at the time, so as not to stand out until the inevitable fighting begins. His flesh is very pale, but not beyond what would be considered normal human-like standards. His irises glow red by default, and his eyes are especially distinguishable in the dead of night, where their eerie glow truly stands out.

Personality: Apollyon is utterly evil. He battles with an intense cruelty and complete disregard for innocent lives, bent only on defeating his enemy. He does not resort to cheap tactics, but he is not above exercising an extreme level of brutality. Oni will sometimes kill for no reason other than to see someone die; thus, when he actually encounters an opponent he needs to get rid of, the results are devastating. Apollyon is remarkably overconfident, but he has good cause: he hasn't yet encountered a power rivaling his own. He hopes that someday he'll discover a fighter strong enough to take him on, for that would be the only fighter truly worth killing.

Bio(optional): Oni is not one of a kind, but he might as well be, for the lack of many others like him out there. The origins of the creation of demons of Oni's kind is as much a mystery to Oni himself as to anyone else, but Oni was granted incredible power, and he is hell-bent on abusing it. Apollyon has lived for nearly two and a half millennia, and therefore has had a lot of time to train his powers. He has wandered the universe alone for his entire life, and has butchered countless civilized races, destroying the most powerful fighters he could find. Only now has he begun to converge on the Saiyan race with the hope that someone on that planet will be able to stand up to him and truly test his powers.

Other:
In terms of power, Oni is an extremely formidable foe. Being a demon, he is also immortal. While that does not mean he is indestructible, it means he can throw himself into enemies' attacks without reserve. Neither is he immune to pain, and a severed arm is a severed arm, Apollyon or not. [In terms of this RP, this pretty much just means that stabbing Oni through the heart or trapping him in a Hyperbolic Time Chamber for a million years isn't quite enough to get the job done. We're not in the business of killing off each others' characters anyway, right?]

Oni's ki, like his frightening eyes, is a deep red when manifested. He can channel it into a variety of attacks.

Blade: Apollyon can form and then solidify his ki into a long, serrated, deadly blade. The sword becomes a physical object and interacts as such. When destroyed, the weapon once again becomes pure energy and dissipates. With no special properties attached to the sword, it takes very little ki to create one.

Hellspark: A bright red beam of energy that travels blindingly fast. Like the Kamehameha, it can be charged with just about as much ki as Apollyon is willing to put into it. There are various ways Apollyon can fire this--from his hands, fingers, even his mouth.

Darkness Falls: The immediate area becomes shrouded in a thick, black, suffocating mist.

Crimson Meteor: An enormous ball of pure energy Oni throws at his foes.

Hellcano: One of Apollyon's more unique attacks. He thrusts his fist into the ground, then lets loose a massive burst of energy. In a split second the energy travels through the ground then explodes upwards beneath his opponent in a terrifying eruption. He can also split the energy into multiple beams and create a range of geysers of energy all around.

Black Lightning: Bolts of energy like lightning shoot from Oni's hands, arcing out to living entities nearby.

Cataclysm: This is Oni's most powerful attack. Extending his arms out to each side and raising up off the ground, Oni pours incredible power into an expanding sphere of pure energy, annihilating everything in its path.

Apollyon also has a transformation. Shedding every last shred of humanity from his appearance, Oni becomes completely demonic. His body expands to roughly twice its size, and his muscles swell to epic proportions. His flesh becomes a deep violet in color and tough and leathery. Oni's elbows sprout long, ebony talons, and his fingernails become razor-sharp claws. Long spines extend from each vertebra. His face remains mostly human-like, but all of his teeth become fangs and his eyes become entirely red and glow with extraordinary intensity. The power increase from this transformation is unbelievable, multiplying his power many times. But Apollyon can only take this form under specific conditions. The star system in which his home planet is located is actually a quickly-revolving binary system. Only when the three bodies--both stars and his planet--are aligned can Apollyon take this form. Because of the speed with which the stars revolved around each other, Apollyon has a three-day window every three months in which to transform. He can transform at the beginning of alignment, and his power will continue to rise dramatically until the stars and planet reach perfect alignment, at which point it will taper off then drop again as the orbits continue. When the three days are over, Oni will revert to his original form.

Mmkayy. All accepted. I accepted more Saiyans, though... Lol!

chulance, lucky you got here when you did. You managed to snap that Legendary spot up right quick.

Hmm... while LSSJ IS the most powerful SSJ form in existance, there is one drawback considering who you are playing as. Since this is before the DBZ plot (in which Broly is the LSSJ) that can only mean your character is the LSSJ that Vegeta spoke of on Namek 1. That said, he specifically stated that this LSSJ can only reach LSSJ form through his Oozaru transformation. You also realize that your fate is to kill yourself by blowing up a planet you are attacking? You also cannot change the history like you did in Next Generation as this is a completely different story and hopefully the canon rules will be more closely followed here. Just saying.

By the way, please do not assume that I ripped off the Shadow Dragons. I, in fact, hated the Shadow Dragons (and GT in general, to be honest).

Another note. I understand your roleplay centers around the early Saiyans, but I rather hate the Saiyans since it can be too easy for them to become powerful. More than that, other alien species allows for much more creativity!

Mmkayy, thanks for ranting and raving, Mozenrath... Lol, but I totally agree with you in terms of GT. Goku as a kid is fricking retarted... Lol. I'm going to go and get the IC started. And I understood that Chulance was saying that, and kind of laughed when I remembered that. So I permitted that... xD

I'm sure there will be a larger number of Saiyans joining in the near future. You've only had this up for a day, after all. I'm pretty sure chulance sent invites to all of his members, too.
And thanks for the info, Mozenrath. I never bothered to look into that enough to really know much about the true LSSJ. But actually I'm glad chulance opted to take that. It adds more flavor to the RP.
Anyway, this looks like it's going to be a good DBZ. All of the ones I've encountered take place either simultaneously with the story (and therefore severely screw it up) or after it. I think this is a very unique take on the DBZ universe and allows for a lot of creativity.

Back when I did a DBZ School-style RP (Not Z-Academy, True Grave actually did that after I closed mine down), I opted to change it to a past timeline and focus on the Saiyan's being enslaved by Freeza. However, nobody in the thread liked the idea. Appearantly, school stories (like Dual Academy and Ninja Academy) are extremely popular. And while Dual Academy was ok, I don't care for the idea of someone being able to completely master up to 4 different martial arts styles in only 10 years (as per the rules of Z-Academy). Realistically speaking, it takes 20+ years of hard training just to master ONE martial art.

Anyway, I just hope I never have to fight Cabbon. LSSJs are annoyingly unbeatable. Their power is constantly rising (which means they really don't need to train at all) even outside of battle, and rises even faster when they do fight. Basically, if an LSSJ rampages long enough, it will far surpass SSJ3 or 4. It already does, though, in my opinion, since no LSSJ has ever actually been killed (the first LSSJ had to kill himself, Goku didn't fully kill Broly, and Gohan/Goten's Kamehameha combo wasn't enough to kill Broly (the Sun killed him). And Bio-Broly? He was nothng more than a cheap clone because he would have otherwise owned the shit out of Trunks, Goten, and 18).

Actually, I was wondering. Can Drago's feral power be something similar to LSSJ? Not nearly as powerful (as in constant rise of power) but something that get stronger the more it is relied upon? I stated that its power is comparable to Super Saiyan. But, I don't want a shit load of Feral Forms because that's the whole reason I hate Saiyans. So, why not a single form that just gets stronger the more you use it? The drawback would be that each time you use it, the harder it is to control. So eventually, Feral Form will match LSSJ but be extremely hard to control, resulting in Drago rarely using it, if at all.

What is the commonness of the various forms of Super Saiyan on your Planet Vegeta? Like, how many Saiyans in 10 have achieved SSJ, and how many of those have achieved Super SSJ, SSJ2, etc.

Just about everyone can get SSJ, so that's the popular. SSJ2 is pretty common, but not as much. SSJ3 is kind of rare, and SSJ4 is only achieved by the Elders so far, but many SSJ3's have been attempting it. The LSSJ is exactly like Broly's forms, and he has access to the SSJ forms as well.

Here's the Feral Form layout.

Control <------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Power Level

Basically, the "<----->" represents how often you use the Feral Form. The highest level of control results in the weakest power level, but the highest power level results in the least amount of control.

The idea is to find a balance point. Somewhere in the center where, you can be as powerful as possible but without losing control. This however, will prove to be a difficult balance to achieve. Think of this as the Data Drain, if you will.
