Masaru respects Tomoe in the way a student appreciates a good teacher: with admiration and subtle dislike. There is nothing wrong with the man for Masaru knows his career as an idol has already passed, but he can’t help but feel a certain competitiveness with the man either. Such thoughts are best left alone however for he knows that nothing good nor beneficial can come out from outright dislike toward the man.

Yoshida Haruma

The self-adulation Haruma possess is a thing of beauty - of which, Masaru admires to the extent that he finds it fun to watch a man get lost in illusions of grandeur. As well he is not about to rain on on his parade because he knows Haruma speaks highly of himself for it is the only thing he can do well. It would be cruel to take that away.

Hoshizuki Hotaru

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

The feeling Masaru has toward Hotaru is akin to a someone being pestered by a fly: annoying, distracting, and yet so hard to get rid of (In Masaru’s case — it’s because they’re room mates). The point still stands however that the man is insufferable. It’s not the persuasion that’s the vexes Masaru but rather the fact that he tries so earnestly. Perhaps Hotaru does it for his own sick satisfaction, but to Masaru all his attempts are seen as genuine and it bothers him.

Akamine Eishi

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Masaru and Eishi have a silent understanding of each other that precedes their own positions as idols. There is no competition in Masaru's mind for he knows that Eishi is a bystander that wishes he could quit the idol industry entirely, and as such finds easy camaraderie in the man. Often they will find met at social events and find a type of solace within each other that they do not find with the other Rose members.

Kobayashi Hayate

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

There is something unnerving about Hayate that Masaru can’t quite put his finger on. His kind disposition hides something and Masaru is not sure whether or not he wants to uncover it. His dilemma does not come from fear of the man’s wrath, but rather the curiosity that would surely follow if he were to find out.

Kitano Seiya

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Masaru doesn’t have much to say about Thorn Fury’s mentor other than the fact that he finds displeasure in Seiya’s hubris toward his group. Granted, they are allowed to feel a sense of pride because they were all recruited by Hanakotoba, but that is where it should end.

Hibana Azusa

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Azusa is too bright eyed and innocent for Masaru to ever like him as a person or an idol. His happiness is so transcendent of the normal and as such Masaru finds it too cloyingly sweet. His name leaves a bitter taste in his mouth that not even lies can pacify. However, his annoyance with the boy is simply that — annoyance. Masaru does not see the boy as competition and as such will not touch him or try to ruin his career.

Ozawa Hayato

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

If Masaru could hate Hayato anymore it would rival Haruma’s hatred for Azusa. His dislike for the boy is not solely because he has talent, although that is a large factor, but because he seems to be enjoying himself to an extent Masaru thinks to be overbearing. Because of that, he finds a certain delight in starting rumors about Hayato for the boy’s childishness provides good gossip material without even knowing it.

Koizumi Kazuki

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Undoubtedly, Kazuki is Masaru’s favorite member of Thorn Fury. They do not communicate regularly, but Masaru watches him with an interest that’s not quite disgust or genial. Masaru notices that he wears a perpetual scowl that seems to hide something sinister, and unlike Hayate’s mask Masaru does not fear impending curiosity, for Masaru is already curious.

Oshiro Arashi

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Out of the public’s eye Masaru can only laugh at Arashi for he is boy posing as s man in an industry that has already spit him out once. Arashi is a joke, and if Masaru is to be honest with himself he would realize that he had more respect for the boy when he quit than he does now.

Hajime Ken

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

When it comes to Ken, Masaru doesn’t have much to say about the man other than the fact that his condition isn’t something he’d wish upon anyone. Masaru has ‘morals’ and and leaving someone on the brink of drink seems too cruel of a thing to do. As an actual musical however, Masaru thinks of him as subpar — memorable in the moment forgotten in the past.

He admires Seiya as both a mentor and a fellow band member. His bright personality and reliability. He always seems willing to help be it provide everyone with a meeting place or some catering. Arashi tends to go to him first for advice due to the confidence that he displays.

Hibana Azusa

He and Azusa are (what he considers) close friends and friendly rivals in Monster Hunter as well as Pokemon. He enjoys watching movies with him because they're both action aficionados. Typically, they enjoy activities that don't require too much talking (as he can chuckle in the background whenever Azusa comments), but that they can still enjoy together.

Ozawa Hayato

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Hayato is his hero in bleach blonde streaks. Rather, he's the member that stands up whenever a person (usually Haruma) tries to put the group down. He hates comparing the two, but both are considered the respective "troublemakers" of their band so Arashi can understand the connection. He admires the man's courage, but in Arashi's words "I'm not going to lose to that." He feels that that if he aspires toward Hayato he can beat him (even if he needs to work on his tact).

Koizumi Kazuki

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

His belligerent attitude and prestigious background make him the subject of some questioning, but mostly a quiet (if not distant) type of relationship. Arashi sometimes worries for the man's consistent scowling, but over the months has learned that it's concentration rather than irritation. Ultimately, he sees Kazuki as more of an acquaintance and coworker than a close friend and treats him as such in the way that he addresses him (Koizumi-sann versus Kazuki-kun). He wouldn't want that resting bitch face to become an actual bitch face after all.

Hajime Ken

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

He misses Ken and thinks about the man when he's dancing or playing video games. The challenges of meshing with a replacement and pushing his vocal practice has made it hard for him to visit Ken in the hospital but he tries to go when he can. Though not angry, he has lingering anger over the fact that he never noticed anything wrong and that Ken kept all of his feelings bottled up.

Naruse Tomoe

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Arashi legitimately feels bad for Tomoe since he essentially has to deal with five other divas as well as the group's cohesion. While he's wary of RoseChandelier members by nature he's able to talk to Tomoe more easily than the others (sans Hayate).

Hoshizuki Hotaru

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Hotaru feels overly rehearsed and sophisticated to the point where it feels hard to talk to him. Arashi knows that his fears are likely irrational, but he keeps to himself, only responding in short sentences and awkward smiles. Despite this, he doesn't let those feelings get to him and tries not to hate him because of it. He isn't nearly as hostile as his friend after all.

Yoshida Haruma

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

He finds Haruma repulsive. Though a fairly voracious Incubus, he couldn't imagine himself feeding off of Haruma's scorn or self-inflated ego. It always feels as though the purple-haired man has something against the world and chooses to show it in the meanest way possible: insults. Whenever Haruma is around, Arashi wants to recede into his games. Unfortunately, the man is essentially a super villain.

Yukimura Masaru

He is wary of Masaru, but not nearly to the extent of most of the other RoseChandelier members. He respects the man's amount of fan interaction and all-around abilities, often wishing that he had the confidence to perform at the same level.

Kobayashi Hayate

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Hayate has proved the nicest member and integral to helping him come off more smoothly in social situations and ease his anxiety whenever there is a show he's unprepared for. Arashi appears blissfully unaware of Hayate's true nature so he regards him a close friend and confidant. Granted, he doesn't enjoy Hayate's "nickname" but he admits that it isn't too off the mark.

Akamine Eishi

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Arashi doesn't have much of an impression of Eishi since he always seems bored and despondent. He certainly has his own air of glamour, but the fact that he doesn't step in when Haruma (or anyone else) makes fun of him puts him on the "typical RoseChandelier" list in Arashi's mind.

Technical ability-wise, Hayato voraciously eats up whatever the older man can teach. It's rare for Hayato to seek counsel in general (mostly due to how he barely even thinks anything through), but he does feel security in knowing that his mentor has his back.

Hibana Azusa

Hayato and Azusa enable each other to the point where it's occasionally riskier than beneficial to put the two together. The former thrives in the validation he receives from Azusa, spurring the Freesia on and encouraging him towards more reckless behavior. Though a mild sense of rivalry exists from Hayato's side, it's a healthy competitiveness that encourages him to try harder.

Oshiro Arashi

Out of everyone in THORNϟFURY, Arashi is the closest to a rival. The two share similar styles in singing and Hayato often sees people comparing the two of them online. When the two share lines, he feels the need to one up him, although they are good friends off-stage. Hayato does not tolerate anyone looking down on Arashi due to how he views him as an equal.

Koizumi Kazuki

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Hayato shares a friendly relationship with Kazuki, but it's not as close as it could be. This is more due to the pair's divided interests and Hayato's rather prejudiced viewpoint about people who grew up in showbiz. He often invites their Sayuri to join them when they play games or go on outings, but while his business-minded attitude is admirable, it conflicts with Hayato's inclination to have fun.

Hajime Ken

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

The former Erika wasn't someone Hayato would consider a super close friend, but he was definitely more than just a simple co-worker to him. Though he never admitted it, Hayato sought to be more like Ken. While the two had contrasting styles, he found it admirable how everyone, including himself, naturally came to rely on him. He worries for him, but it's not at the forefront of the Freesia's mind.

Yukimura Aoi

Hayato acknowledges it's unreasonable, but he finds it difficult to not compare the past and present Erika. And in many ways, Aoi is simply lacking. While he can respect how he freely speaks his opinion to them, the Freesia finds it unsettling how Aoi isn't marking his own identity within their group dynamic.

Naruse Tomoe

RoseChandelier's mentor isn't someone whose company he often shares, but the mere fact he can handle the Roses earns him Hayato's respect. He's definitely a lot more likeable than the group he leads.

Hoshizuki Hotaru

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Hayato isn't sure what to make of RoseChandelier's Wasurenagusa. Sometimes, he seems like a pleasant enough guy. Other times, the mere fact he's friends with Haruma makes the Freesia wary in his interactions with the man. All in all, he tries to dodge directly speaking to Hotaru - something about the older man just unsettles him.

Yoshida Haruma

Hayato would rather the two of them not share the same breathing space. More than once Seiya has had to stop him from straight up punching Haruma in the face. While it's easy to rile him up, it's a different thing altogether to get on Hayato's blacklist.

Yukimura Masaru

As a personal preference, Hayato has always disliked princely characters, finding their perfection tiresome and unnatural. Masaru's passive-aggressive attitude pisses Hayato off, although the amount of dislike he posseses for him is nowhere near his hate for Haruma. The Freesia generally avoids interacting with him.

Kobayashi Hayate

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

With their first names being only a letter off, it's become a running gag within Hanakotoba and both groups' general fanbase. On a personal level, Hayato has mixed feelings regarding him. He's definitely much more bearable than the rest of RoseChandelier, but the two simply don't share enough interests to become friends. He finds his nickname for Hayato irritating, but it's clear he doesn't intend to demean him with it.

Akamine Eishi

Much like the man himself, Hayato feels apathetic towards Eishi. He's not bad like the other members, it's just that he feels it's difficult to approach him. His prodigious background only gave the Freesia further incentive to dislike him. Hayato largely ignores his presence, only giving him notice if Eishi himself calls for his attention.

Despite being only a year younger than him, Kazuki greatly looks up to Seiya as a mentor. Seiya is exactly what Kazuki wishes he himself could be in altruism, and his sincerity and care towards the members of THORNϟFURY only leaves Kazuki with admiration and respect. As such, Kazuki is strives for Seiya’s happiness and approval more than anyone else in Hanakotoba, and feeds off of Seiya's positive emotions to treat himself.

Hajime Ken

While Kazuki liked Ken and the advice he brought to the table, but his hospitalization haven’t greatly affected Kazuki. Ultimately, Kazuki respected his work ethic, and appreciated Ken’s empathy for the group members, but his tendency to keep to himself and not share his problems made Kazuki wary of what he was hiding. More than anyone, Kazuki understands that hiding problems (something he is still very guilty of) can lead to great strife, and that fear of potential fallout kept Kazuki from bonding with Ken.

Oshiro Arashi

Kazuki has nothing but professional respect for Arashi. Their roommate relationship means that they live in close quarters to each other, but seeing other everyday has done nothing to bring them closer together as friends. While Kazuki wishes he could be more supportive of Arashi, the familiar feelings of anxiety makes him a bit too awkward to be comforting (and the resulting resting bitch face does nothing to help either). Overall, he feels more comfortable with them as casual roommates and professional coworkers than as great friends, and even though Kazuki hopes to one day be a better person to improve upon it, he’s happier with what they have now.

Ozawa Hayato

Kazuki finds Hayato cute, but frustrating. Although Hayato’s truthful and sincerity is respectable, his blase approach to the consequences sometimes make Kazuki want to cry (or scream). Kazuki has long since learned that being entirely forthright can lead to problems, and feels a responsibility to insert himself between Hayato and questionable life choices when he can. Though Kazuki doesn’t begrudge him this (integrity is admirable) it does mean that Hayato can be both fun and stressful at times.

Hibana Azusa

Azusa’s effusive personality makes Kazuki unable to resist him. Although Azusa needs a lot of mentorship and support, his appreciation of it means that Kazuki is more than happy to meet his demands. While Kazuki is neither demonstrative nor comfortable with effusive displays of emotion, he feels redemption in helping Azusa grow and succeed.

Naruse Tomoe

The first thing that comes to mind when Kazuki thinks of Tomoe is respect. He respects his work ethic, his performing ability, and more than anything his hard work in shepherding the rest of RoseChandelier. He enjoys having Tomoe around, as his pleasant personality makes everyone happier, and as Seiya’s best friend he can only be a great person.

Hoshizuki Hotaru

Kazuki finds Hotaru to be… discomforting to say the least. Although he seems like a good person, the conflict that follows his career leads Kazuki to doubt that persona. Mostly however, Kazuki finds Hotaru to be discomforting because he hates being mothered. As he hates his actual mother, Hotaru’s “motherly advice” is the exact opposite of what he wants from a person. For all that he dislikes Hotaru however, most of it is baseless, and not worth the sacrifice of how happy he makes the others in THORNFURY.

Yoshida Haruma

Haruma’s obvious dislike of Azusa and other hard working idols is an immediate turn-off to Kazuki. While he can respect Haruma’s work, it's about the only thing that Kazuki can respect or like about him. Everything from his attitude to his work ethic annoys Kazuki, and his more spiteful qualities surface in response to Haruma.

Yukimura Masaru

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Kazuki generally does not interact with Masaru. He respects his work, and doesn’t mind him, but the more time Kazuki spends in Masaru’s presence, the more he feels like he’s being watched. For all that he spent his childhood trying to gain attention, he's not actually used to it, and it makes him awkward. In general, Kazuki tries to avoid Masaru in order to not cause problems for anyone, especially since he’s probably just imagining it.

Kobayashi Hayate

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Hayate’s past blunder in releasing information about his co workers to the press created a bad first impression.While Kazuki has a great respect for his musical talent and past work, his belief in group cohesion means that he is rather wary around Hayate. Rather than seek out conflict, Kazuki tries to avoid him in order to keep other happy and reduce the appearance of his socially awkward resting bitch face.

Akamine Eishi

Kazuki finds an odd sort of comradery in Eishi with their shared history in the entertainment business. While they haven’t really crossed paths beforehand, Kazuki can respect anyone who has had to grow up in such a high stress and toxic environment. They don’t interact all that much, but Kazuki enjoys his company when he can, and hopes to get over his social awkwardness to hopefully commiserate and bond over the awful child idol experience.

Haruma tolerates Tomoe as a necessity of being a roommate. He realized early on that Haruma would be a diva and took it upon himself to bear the burden even if it would shatter his back (and very nearly his side of the room). To some extent, the purple-haired male can see the ways that Tomoe attempts to accomodate his personality, but he doesn't care enough to do anymore than tidy his side of the living space and wear headphones when he's listening to music late at night. In every other instance he seems to caught up in his own needs to lighten Tomoe's load.

Hoshizuki Hotaru

Hotaru is the only one that Haruma does not hate. One could even say that Haruma enjoys his company. He would never call him a friend however; Haruma is too cool for friends. Instead, Haruma flatly states that he tolerates Hotaru because he respects Haruma's excellence and isn't constantly trying to punch him in the face or be fake (well at least to his knowledge). He keeps him close and much to his dismay, his emotions occasionally slip out.

Yukimura Masaru

He thinks that Yukimura has an over-inflated sense of self and cares little of the fans so much as about the validation they give him. It would be disingenuous to say that Haruma did not care about the same things, but unlike that man he doesn't lie to get it. Haruma is honest and real with everyone and because of that he doesn't feel the need to compete with the man. He hopes one day that he will become a real man instead of just a doll. ~~At the very least, that's what he says on Twitter.~~

Kobayashi Hayate

He respects Hayate's efforts to reach out as well as his lyrical ability. Though he's hard-pressed to admit it, having a solo career is something that he would have wanted had he not so obviously been needed at Hanakotoba Entertainment. Obviously. He feels slightly wary of Hayate's intentions nonetheless (as very rarely is anyone ever polite to him) so he keeps him at arm's length. Due to Hayate's penchant for giving nicknames (whether it's on fire.fly or in real life), Haruma has nicknamed him with smiling poop emojis. The two don't converse all too much, but when they do it is a mixture of stickers and emojis.

Akamine Eishi

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Ho hum, what an ignorable man. To hell if that's a word because Haruma will make it one! ~~#ignorable~~ Eishi has yet to make an impression on him beyond that of a background dancer or occasional singer so Haruma lacks a reason to see him as anything more. Then again, the lavender-haired male could always be starstruck. After all, who wouldn't be?

Kitano Seiya

Seiya is a roadblock that never needed to exist other than to make his life harder. Understandably, the man needs to protect his own but to what end? Azusa isn't worth the time nor the effort. Neither is the rest of their band for that matter. He could be second tier talent if he dumped everyone else (and he has voiced that opinion more than once). The only time he doesn't act bratty toward Seiya is during meetings at his cafe wherein Seiya (obviously) offers a "Haruma Special" which is essentially Taro cake with purple fondant. Of course it's topped off with a reflective sticker on a plastic ring.

Hibana Azusa

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Death. He does not merely want Azusa's career to fail. Azusa, in his words, "needs death." For Haruma, the young boy is the antithesis of everything that Haruma represents. He's ugly, he's untalented, he's poor, and yet he's still here at Hanakotoba Entertainment. He's a reflection of Haruma's on failings despite his privilege and being that he's unwilling to admit that, he'd rather try and squash it instead. Unfortunately for Azusa, trying to help would only worsen the perceived rivalry.

Oshiro Arashi

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Arashi is a socially inept, stuttering fool who should have stayed "on sabbatical." He only needs a quick glance to show that he is vastly superior in every aspect, including popping in purple. He agrees with Hayate's nickname of "cowardly lion" and though he hasn't copied that, he does make his fair share of clipping remarks whenever he has the chance.

Ozawa Hayato

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

He didn't know that dogs could dance. Actually they can, so Haruma supposes that's another thing, that even a dog can hold over Hayato. Hayato's volatility makes it almost fun to insult the black-haired male, but Haruma always ends with a "luckily your fans don't mind" as if rub salt in the wound. Out of all the members, he interacts with Hayato the most due to the amount of fighting that he manages to endure with nary a scar.

Koizumi Kazuki

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

He knows very little of Kazuki except that he isn't photogenic and that he had a long history in the idol industry. Of the THORNϟFURY members, he has the best pedigree and despite his attitude, feels the most competent. Haruma does not consider him a threat as he is superior in nearly all categories and that includes attractiveness.

Hajime Ken

Haruma, oddly enough, will not speak ill of the near-dead. During their days working with and against one another, Ken avoided him and Haruma never noticed the absence. He took subtle jabs at Ken regarding his health and though they turned out to be true, he doesn't feel any remorse as it should have been his duty to see the doctor. Still, he would not wish that fate on anyone and especially not himself.

Originally the two didn't have much of a bond until Azusa discovered Seiya's shared interest in Kamen Rider. Seiya uses Kamen Rider and other mutual interests to learn more about Azusa. In return, Azusa feels at ease around Seiya, and reciprocates the elder boy's care and thoughtfulness. Azusa admires Seiya more than anyone, and will do anything for the latter's validation. Ultimately, Seiya's efforts have made Azusa's career transition comfortable and enjoyable.

Ozawa Hayato

Hayato compliments Azusa in the best and worst ways. Among THORNϟFURY, they are the closest of friends, and tend to enable each other's more reckless behaviors. Azusa feeds off Hayato's bold (and sometimes volatile) personality, and openly praises Hayato as a "rock god." Azusa's unconditional adoration only inspires Hayato towards more audacious actions. For these reasons, Shiina is always wary of allowing them to be interviewed together.

Oshiro Arashi

In general, Azusa enjoys Arashi's quiet company. Though they don't regularly interact much, they often game and watch movies together. During these times, Azusa makes enough commentary for the both of them.

Koizumi Kazuki

Next to Hayato and Seiya, Azusa feels the most comfortable around Kazuki. Despite his fierce resting face, Azusa finds Kazuki's (very) mature, understanding personality a refreshing shift from THORNFURY's other members. Kazuki wouldn't be considered a "close" friend, but the older man is definitely someone he knows he can approach and rely on. He is the face of THORNFURY after all, and Azusa...well...Azusa can't help but see Kazuki as really, really cool. Eloquent, angry-looking, and a strong believer of friendship--Kazuki is the embodiment of ultimate coolness.

Hajime Ken

Although Hayato is arguably Azusa's best friend, Ken was Azusa's first, real friend. He was the first THORNFURY member that Azusa worked up the courage to talk to, mostly because he appeared as nervous (if not more anxious) than Azusa himself. From there, their friendship grew closer deepened through Fire.fly. The safety of the internet allowed the two of them to have engaging conversations in safe comfort. Naturally, Azusa confided many of his most private thoughts and feelings to Ken, whom always had the perfect, terse response. Though Ken never spoke much, he carried a sense of silent understanding that made Azusa feel safe and validated. Ken's coma deprived Azusa of his emotional rock, and Azusa hasn't been quite the same since.

Naruse Tomoe

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

If anything, Azusa recognizes Tomoe as Seiya's unreal, princely counterpart. Unlike Azusa, Tomoe's portrays his own earnestness with grace, and has strong conversational instincts. As an inherently clumsy person, Azusa can hardly begin conceptualizing how Tomoe functions. He swears there are shoujo manga flowers that pop up whenever Tomoe says...well...anything. Although he appreciates Tomoe's (overwhelmingly) attractive nature, he dreads staying around the RoseChandelier mentor too long. He describes Tomoe's smiles as "blinding" and has trouble meeting Tomoe's gaze. Ironically, Azusa finds RoseChandelier's genuine mentor the most unapproachable of all.

Hoshizuki Hotaru

Aside from their generational gap, Azusa never knows quite how to feel about Hotaru. The latter's sophistication places him on an entirely different planet. Unlike Tomoe, Hotaru's "otherness" perplexes Azusa more positively. Hotaru embodies wisdom, worldliness, and adulthood in ways that Azusa is only beginning to understand. He doesn't mind Hotaru's company, and appreciates Hotaru's counseling and maturity. Although Hotaru's depth would usually intimidate someone like Azusa, he embraces Hotaru's confident cool. Why the latter insists on sticking around Haruma is still beyond Azusa, however.

Yoshida Haruma

Azusa is wary of Haruma's malicious fixation on him, though he doesn't quite understand why. He assumes the best in others, and accredits Haruma's ill intentions towards "something that must truly be hurting Haruma-kun." Although he feels sorry for Haruma, he's nonetheless intimidated by the scornful RoseChandelier.

Yukimura Masaru

For the most part, Azusa has a positive opinion of RoseChandelier's Chrysanthemum. Azusa doesn't reciprocate Masaru's disinterest in him, and instead, hopes to befriend him. Not that he'd ever make the first move. While Azusa doesn't have the courage to approach Masaru, he admires Masaru's confidence and smooth-talking.

Kobayashi Hayate

Hayate was one of the first RoseChandelier members that Azusa met, and one of the nicest, too. The two share a "shepherd and lost lamb" relationship due to Azusa's tendency to confuse rehearsal rooms. Although Azusa feels horribly embarrassed by his delegated nickname, he's thankful that Hayate always points him in the right direction. Because Hayate, much unlike the rest of RoseChandelier, has only ever shown him kindness, Azusa isn't wary of him.

Akimine Eishi

Azusa respects RoseChandelier's Amaryllis as a more than capable performer. Back when Azusa was an utaite, he was already following Eishi's career, and admired him greatly. Eishi's sultry, manly singing was a constant source of inspiration for Azusa. Secretly, Azusa hopes to become friends with Eishi, the latter being his favorite RoseChandelier voice.

Hotaru hates Tomoe's selflessness, and wishes the latter would just die already. He sees Tomoe's accommodations towards his group members as gestures of surrender. More than anything, Hotaru finds nothing more reprehensible than denying your own needs for the sake of others. For this reason, he doesn't bother to interfere with Tomoe's lack of self-care. Instead, Hotaru would rather watch his mentor map his own downfall. Only as a meal would Tomoe be worthy of his respect.

Yoshida Haruma

Hotaru's obsession with Haruma is purely psychological. He finds Haruma's difficult personality a worthy challenge, and hopes to push Haruma towards an existential crisis. The two share a close one-sided(?) relationship that shifts more favorably depending on Haruma's mood. Despite this, they remain inseparable. Hotaru keeps his favorite meals close, and Haruma secretly enjoys his company.

Yukimura Masaru

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Unfortunately for Masaru, Hotaru sees glimpses of himself in the younger male. For this reason, he percieves his junior as his protege, and shares an unreciprocated rivalry with Tomoe. In general, Hotaru treats Masaru as the pupil he never had, and assumes misplaced mentorship over him. As roommates, Hotaru tries making Masaru's lifestyle match his own, and often cooks for the both of them.

Kobayashi Hayate

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Hotaru has never trusted Hayate. His trained intuition tells him that Hayate, like himself, has some sort of agenda. Though Hayate might think himself ~~a good person~~ a good actor, Hotaru, too, has been at this game for too long. He feels that Hayate, like Masaru, could be aiming for food of better taste, but Hotaru has no interest in interfering with RoseChandelier's Sakura. So far, Hayate has proved himself to be relatively harmless if not altogether uninteresting. Hotaru doesn't feel badly towards him per se, but he keeps him at arm's length regardless. As a dangerous incubus himself, he can only guess how formidable Hayate's true self can be.

Akamine Eishi

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Aside from Eishi's proficiency as an idol, Hotaru doesn't respect him much due to strong, contrasting personal philosophies. He equates Eishi's lack of ambition with lack of self-respect.

Kitano Seiya

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Truly, Kitano Seiya is a beautiful person, Hotaru thinks. He admires Seiya's dedication and inspiring personality. Unlike Tomoe, Seiya's own selflessness seems to come from strength instead of weakness. Everything about Seiya feels perfect, Hotaru often theorizes what parts of Seiya he could possibly "improve." Whereas Hotaru's obsession with Haruma is purely psychological, his attraction towards Seiya is on a whole different level. It wouldn't be accurate to say that he's romantically nor sexually infatuated with Seiya. Seiya is an ideal that must be crushed, is all. He is too powerful and kind of an incubus for Hotaru not to try.

Hibana Azusa

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Someone Haruma will definitely kill one day. Though he never interferes when Haruma bullies the younger incubus, Hotaru can't help but care a little. He finds Azusa's commitment towards believing in Haruma's better qualities endearing. He wonders how he might change Azusa's opinion someday.

Ozawa Hayato

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Surprisingly, Hotaru doesn't actually mind THORNFURY's immature Freesia. While Haruma harbors a strong dislike for Hayato, Hotaru feels rather ambivalent towards him. At worst, he finds Hayato "noisy" and "brash," but those are minor offenses. The two haven't interacted much for Hotaru to harbor meaningful dislike towards him.

Koizumi Kazuki

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Strangely enough, Hotaru has never actually interacted with Kazuki much. It would be accurate to say that out of all the THORNFURY flowers, he's crossed paths with Kazuki maybe twice, at most. As far as first impressions go, he finds Kazuki professional and presentable--making him a rare blossom among the Thorns.

Hajime Ken

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Hotaru and Ken...had history. As rookies, they were in the same band, SIG, that was only marginally successful. During their brief time together, they had become exceptionally close, which only spelled Ken's demise. Hotaru's interference with Ken's personal life was partially what brought SIG to its ruin, though Ken didn't think so at the time. Hotaru was admittedly surprised to be co-workers with Ken again, though their relationship has been turbulent since. Years of separation had made Ken see Hotaru more clearly for who he is. Luckily for Hotaru, Ken isn't the kind of person that would disclose this information to anyone else. Not that it matters anymore, with Ken being in a comatose state.

The RoseChandelier mentor is a ridiculously nice person. To Hayate, there is no brighter flag of warning than that. Nice people are almost always hiding something beneath their exterior, himself included. Hayate finds the man's polite yet firm company almost off putting, but in all honesty he doesn't mind their mentor, seeing him as someone to work toward becoming. Should there really be someone genuinely nice, the taste of their emotions will be something to behold.

Yoshida Haruma

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

The lone narcissus of the group, Haruma is often rude and cold if he decides to speak at all. However, Hayate must say he feels a lot safer around him than others. If Haruma thinks poorly of you, he'd most likely say it to your face instead of hiding it from you with a mask of polite smiles as Hayate does. That feeling of security is why Hayate tolerates Haruma's company in the first place, or his woven mask would've snapped the moment someone mentioned his weight.

Yukimura Masaru

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

The little prince. Hayate can't say that he likes Masaru's attitude or his likely sadism, though he grudgingly admits that the Chrysanthemum is quite like him in a way. The manner of deception is what they both share, and as a fellow 'actor' Hayate respects Masaru for how he looks to the public. Sharing the same worldview to a point, Hayate considers it a 'kinship' they both share. However, he is wary of the man at the same time, never letting his guard down around someone like him.

Hoshizuki Hotaru

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

The lovesick firefly is a truly terrifying individual. Hayate has an innate fear of his obsession with certain things, and thank the stars that he is currently focused on Masaru. He doesn't trust Hotaru one bit, and would much rather attention not be attracted to himself. Arguably one of his least favourite group members, Hayate is always internally screaming when he's around.

Akamine Eishi

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

Better described as a statue, Eishi is completely unreadable and one of Hayate's Favourite sources of entertainment. Rooming together has given him plenty of opportunities to poke at the man's boundaries, just to get a reaction out of that face. He finds Eishi incredibly amusing, and his bystander effect means that Hayate need not worry about his true Colours showing. Besides, he doubts that matters to Eishi in the first place.

Kitano Seiya

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

What a man! Hayate simply adores Seiya's protective nature, thinking of how easy it would be to crush him by just killing one of their members. Surely that vulnerability will come into good use for manipulation someday, but for now Hayate is far too mature to do something as childish as break someone for fun (or so he thinks). It is useful having him around, and Hayate is a frequent patron to his cafe, enjoying the variety of sweet treats they offer. He can name any dessert from that cafe and rank them in order of sweetness, something he is quite proud of.

Hibana Azusa

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■■xx

The little lamb offers such a delicious variety of positive emotions, his shining determination and pure feelings astonish Hayate, and he delights in feeding off Azusa whenever he could. Coming from a group of divas is hard on him after all, and Azusa is like a welcome sweet respite. As a result, Hayate defends the latter whenever Haruma attempts to bully or antagonise him. If anyone was to break him, it would have to be himself. Any other attempts to ruin his meal is highly frowned upon.

Ozawa Hayato

■■■xx■■■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■■xx

Rash and carefree, Hayato exudes an air of freedom, thus earning his nickname of 'Sparrow' or 'Chun-Kun' for short. It sounds cute and to the point, so Hayate doesn't understand why the Freesia doesn't appreciate it. Having both their names being a mere letter apart has been amusing at best, and Hayate doesn't mind the man at all.

Koizumi Kazuki

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■■xx

Someone who shares his love for all things sweet, Hayate often asks him playfully for some whenever they meet after finding out theta he often keeps some on his person. His face gives him great interest, and Hayate thinks it's only fitting for the member that represents anger to scowl all the time like that. He often wonders if keeping a frown will tire Kazuki's facial muscles however, and reminds him to smile at times.

Oshiro Arashi

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

The cowardly lion of thorn fury might honestly be one of Hayate's only 'true' friends without any outward intentions of devouring him altogether. Hayate finds it a Honour to be one of his Favourite members in RoseChandelier, and helping him while watching him improve gives him a feeling of accomplishment much as a teacher will look over their student. Perhaps when Arashi fully blossoms he would consider feeding on him again, but for now Hayate is content with his presence as a Friend. He worries sometimes over what Arashi would think should he know of his true face, but that would be a problem for a later date.

Hajime Ken

■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx■■■■■xx

There is always a sense of lingering regret when someone dies, whether he liked them or not. It is the mere fact that Ken will no longer feel or sing again that saddens Hayate to a point, even though they were not too close to begin with.
