Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite. I know what you're all thinking - Gossip Girl? Really, Humphrey? You couldn't leave a good thing in the past? Well, considering Dan Humphrey just left with his wife, Serena, on a cruise to commemorate their seventeenth wedding anniversary, I think that it's highly unlikely he's worried about spilling the dirty deeds of a bunch of young, and restless teens. I, however, have no such qualms. So, if you're just as messy as me and want me to spill the tea, I suggest you all start getting your milk and sugar ready...and while you're at it, pass the crumpets because the getting is good.

And if you're even messier and want to spill some of your own, you know how to reach me.

Gossip Girl does not exist to wreak havoc. Well, if I happen to wreak havoc, it's clearly the right kind for how else does The Upper East thrive than by the very real fears that nothing is sacred, and nothing can be kept hidden for long? Gossip Girl is only meant to shed light on the hidden truths that so many long to be made aware of. Especially our little misfits and outsiders who would just love to be a part of this world they still know nothing about. There will always be secret admirers lurking in the shadows of your brightest days. That's the way of life and anyone who seeks to tell you otherwise is probably that same admirer...always on the outside...always looking in. Wanting what they can never have...what will never be. And that, dear readers, is where yours truly comes in.

And if I'm not my predecessor Dan Humphrey, then I'm sure you're pondering over my identity. Who am I? The girl who served you coffee at your favorite gourmet cafe down the street from your high-rise duplex? The guy you shoved into a locker in the middle of a bustling hallway? The one that got away? Or simply...a nosy observer? Take a guess. Love me. Hate me...or try to hate me, if you can. Either way you put it, you can never get rid of me. Who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell. XOXO, Gossip Girl

It's always a bit of a competition between himself and the Queen Bee - who's more self-absorbed and self-important than who? Who needs their crown more? If you asked him, he was always meant for his throne and he'll be damned if anyone threatens his leadership - especially The Party Animal, who has been spending far too much time with his little sister, if you asked him. However, as much as he'd like to focus on that, between strengthening his relationship with The Star Athlete after the disaster that was last year and keeping up appearances with The Attention Whore, his little sister's antics are the least of his worries. After all, he's supposed to be the big man on campus - confident, feared and hated in equal measure, and absolutely straight. Definitely not...whatever it is he finds himself doing with The New Lonely Boy.

She's the girl everyone wants to be and every guy (and perhaps, a few girls as well) wants to be with. She's beautiful, gets pretty decent grades, sociable, and so sweet it's almost impossible to remember that she's a mega bitch with a mega ego. Don't ever get it twisted, though - she'll be sure to remind everyone of how dominant she is the second they step out of line. Though she was born into a rather lavish lifestyle, the crown did not come easily to her - no matter what she and her favorite person in the world, The Attention Whore has to say on the matter. She had to claw her way to the top; she had to steal, lie, and sabotage to her obtain her crown and she takes it (and her image) very seriously. Which is why she can't allow herself to put a name to the feelings she has whenever she sees The Attention Whore and The King Bee together. She and one of her other posse members, The Social Climber were the ones who got them together. And yet...she burns...though she can't always tell if it's from the fact that The Tutor Girl's family has infiltrated her own, the fact that The Fallen Angel has returned, or because she can't stand to see her best guy with her best girl. Not that that matters, anyway. With her strict upper crest, Christian family - nothing that isn't sanctioned by God is allowed....though it stands to reason that her sexuality-not-sexuality isn't the only "sin" she'll need to repent for.

The year before last and even part of last year, you couldn't have told him nothing. With his best friend being The King Bee and himself being pretty popular since birth, he thought he had it made. So what if he'd growing bored with the constant posturing and audacious displays of wealth and frequent partying? Being so admired and respected probably seems like a dream to many, but there does come a point where all the relationships become diluted and you end up wanting a little more out of them. And that's exactly how he's feeling - though the betrayal of The King Bee and The Social Climber, his ex, sleeping together played a huge role in his most recent abhorrence with this lifestyle. Strangely enough, he wasn't as broken up about it as everyone thought he'd be. Possibly because most people called the relationship superficial anyway....possibly because of his tutoring-sessions-turned-hanging-out with the resident Tutor Girl. He's found surprising friends in her and The New Lonely Boy, but if anyone were to really say the smiles he's been having for her are only platonic, they and him would be telling one of the biggest lies on the Upper East Side.

The twin sister of The Star Athlete, it's almost insane to think of them as siblings given how different they can be. Some might try to be nice and call her a drama queen, but anyone who is anyone - but never tries to be the one who says when around any of her friends - will call her what she truly is: an attention whore. She can be dramatic, emotional, and spends her family's money like it's going out of style. She's probably not the smartest girl of the bunch and her arrogance makes it difficult at times to see the lovable side of her, but she makes up for it in outrageous themed parties - even though she'll be the first to get white girl wasted. It's not a pretty look, which makes people question why the prim and proper Queen Bee keeps her around, which is part of the reason why she secretly dislikes The Social Climber. No matter how much she links their arms and drags the other girl everywhere, she can't help but fear the day the other girl will try to take her spot, though why she's so obsessed with being The Queen Bee's number one remains a question, especially since she's oh so in love with The King Bee....right?

Now, if anyone asked him, he'd honestly say that winding up in The King Bee's bed hadn't been on the table. This had honestly just supposed to have been an internship with the popular guy's mother's fashion magazine. That was it. And yet....that's where he's found himself and more than once, if you asked him. Nobody's asking, though it stands to reason that his best friend, The Tutor Girl, would definitely be asking if she even had a hint of what he's been up to. He thinks it's over - it needs to be, especially because he does not intend on getting on the bad side of The Attention Whore, who's known for her spiteful tantrums. Besides, regardless of the feelings he's really hoping he can put behind him (considering he's pretty sure they're not returned, no matter what the kisses tell him), he's just trying to get through another school year, maybe keep an eye on his good friend, The Free Spirit, and not get his heart broken by a guy who has no claim to him whatsoever.

Hate him or love him, nine times out of ten - you probably need him. Some call him a jack of all trades, others might call him the dealer of all trades. Nevertheless, between the "vitamins" he's stealthily snuck into The Queen Bee's purse when he's slithered her way or being in The King Bee's back pocket, his social status doesn't matter in the face of his hustle. Besides, he had never wanted to be a part of the inner circle, and quite frankly, takes pride in his resourcefulness, especially when top buyers like The Free Spirit and The Fallen Angel are willing to fork over large sums of money, though he's been slower in providing for the former as of recently. He's best friends with The Sweetheart, which to some is his only saving grace. However, for how seedy he might be, he hasn't done anything worse than selling what his peers need to be sold....or has he?

No matter how much she disagrees with how much of a capricious douchebag her older brother can be when around the classmates and peers who fear him, she can't deny that The King Bee definitely used said reputation to shield her from the worst of the worst after her transition. Before middle school even, she'd been a sure-in for the popular crowd but she also hadn't - and wouldn't have been herself back then. And so despite no longer being the brother The King Bee had initially known, she'd found herself protected even at the cost of the social life her mother still thinks she's ruined. Leave it to her, however, and she'd tell you she was exactly where she needed to be. Plus, in the face of being used way back when by The Social Climber to get her once coveted spot, she doesn't need any of those people...though some, at least those who know her, might question why she so vehemently detests the girl after all this time if she doesn't care. She doesn't have to deal with the bitchy ways of people like The Fallen Angel and if she happened to take a certain pleasure and watching that fall, then sue her. She spends a lot of her time with The Party Animal, much to the chagrin of her brother. She can't help it if they have the most fun together....even though the serious trouble they got into this past summer might bring the "fun" to question. She even considered The Entrepreneur a pretty good friend and still does....which is why she can't understand his hesitance to give her her usual. It's not like she's addicted or anything...and even if she was, why does he care?

Careless, reckless, enticing, and wild. Wherever he is, you know it's going to be a good time - one of those good times including The Attention Whore who is determined to pretend he doesn't exist. He's a two-timer, indomitable, and probably needs to take life a bit more seriously. Then again, after the indictment on embezzlement his dad was charged with a few years back, it's no wonder what he might only be able to cope with partying. In their own ways, though, The Entrepreneur and The Sweetheart try to keep him from going too wild - but he's been distancing himself from the former. After all, how much can a man be teased by that which he knows he can't have? Or can't he? He never knows with that one and he'd rather keep his friend - a sobering thought, mind - than lose him because he wants something that isn't his to want. Besides, he has The Free Spirit to entertain now...though perhaps the two of them need to slow down soon. The police car that brought him home and the lecture he received should've been enough. And if not, what they didn't get caught for definitely should.

Gossip Girl here and as we all sadly know, it is the end of the summer. I know, I know - heartbreaking, right? Back to longer days and nights in the office, homework and let's not even forget the copious amounts of hot coffee and tea we're all going to be sipping on once winter takes a bite out of our asses. But, if you're any of our fine citizens of the Upper East Side, you're probably not worried about such things. In fact, if you are anyone, you would be in The Hamptons where the Shanks are hosting their infamous annual White Party on the lawn of their gorgeous estate. And if you're not, well...then I'll sip on those scrumptious strawberry mimosas and partake in a few macaroons in your honor.

At about thirty minutes past two in the afternoon, every filthy rich Upper East Sider makes their way to one of the most beautifully appointed mansions in Southhampton, about fifteen minutes from the beach when driving. Either way you put it, you know it's going to be breathtaking. And while everyone else is decked in the appropriate white attire for the obviously over-priced event, you all already know that I'm going to be there too. Watching...waiting...and in utter impatience for the delicious events that are sure to unfold. XOXO, Gossip Girl.

"Don't see the big deal, sis," Marcel said into the phone and Aaliyah shut her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration and having to ignore the way her Isabel Marant cuff clanked against the device she held up against her ear. She could already feel a headache coming on and it was only three o'clock in the afternoon. The majority of the guests had arrived earlier with a few stragglers coming and going. Under normal circumstances, like when someone else was hosting an event at a gallery or even one that wasn't even important, Aaliyah barely even thought to text either of her siblings to see where they were. If she saw them, she saw them. If she did not, then that was the story and that was fine. However, this was an event their mother was throwing. Meaning, everyone was going to hear Debby's mouth until all of her family members were present. And by everyone, Aaliyah typically meant herself. "Can't you just magically convince her to let it go or something? You're good at that." Aaliyah bristled. It was a good thing she was in her bedroom and not anywhere downstairs where anyone could see her current facial expression.

"Hell no! This is not a box of Lucky Charms, but you better magically teleport yourself here or so help me God, I will magically shove my foot up your ass, Marcel." She hissed into her cell phone. She could hear her brother's eye roll through the phone. "I don't care if you have to convince your flavor of the month that you'd rather dip her in the chocolate fountain on front, be here. Now." She refused to encourage any more of his excuses by ending the call, letting out a frustrated sigh before trying to relax herself enough to return to the guests. This was not even her own event and she was already stressing. Aaliyah had changed her outfit twice before deciding on her Halston Heritage jumpsuit because Debby had made face after face when she saw her daughters' choices. She had had to leave Beau's side when Shailene pulled her aside to say that Debby was furious that Marcel wanted to bail on them for some girl he stole away to California. And suddenly, Aaliyah had to be the one to resolve the issue since Debby couldn't just call her son. Aaliyah shook her head quickly to dispel the negativity, though she could still feel herself brimming with aggravation when she rose from her perch on her childhood bed.

Before heading out, she stopped to check her reflection, styling her hair back into the messy bun from earlier in the morning so that her Jennifer Fisher earrings could be seen better. Sliding her cell back into her Louboutin clutch, she gave herself one more final glance over before heading out, ignoring the servant who asked if everything was alright. No, everything was not alright, but she was here, wasn't she? Wasn't that enough of a reason to not ask that dumb ass question? By the time Aaliyah was back on the first floor, a cordial smile was painted back on her face. In passing, she nodded to a few guests, the sound of her Miu Miu sandals echoing when she reached the outside portico. The spacious lawn of her family's estate was filled with white tables and a sea of white-attired bodies, the flashes of green from the lush grass peeking out amidst the stark color all of the guests wore. Some sported bikinis and swimsuits, others more elegant apparel. It was the one time of the year, other than if someone did a special event, that she had to deal with such an onslaught of the color, and Aaliyah was already annoyed despite the tasteful elegance of the event. The White Party was the one event Debby did not allow any other member of the family to host, which was why it was a big deal that Marcel was not present. No one missed their own mother's party, especially not because they were chasing tail as if they hadn't had a different one three weeks ago.

Her eyes roved over the crowd and she saw a few notable faces, though none of them being the main one she was looking for. A few of her followers nodded in her direction and she only offered a longer gaze before glancing around before she saw a familiar blonde head. Without hesitation, Aaliyah made her way over to Juliet, exhaling loudly when she reached her and looping her arm with the heiress. "Girl, tell me why Marcel's trying to get me killed and I'm not even the one who didn't show up," she immediately complained to the blonde, accepting a cranberry mimosa when it was offered from an approaching server.

ERIN BRENNANImage
The Hamptons were the place to be during the summer time, and on days like this, when the weather was absolutely perfect, that was exceptionally true. Erin did not have to like Aaliyah personally, to appreciate the grand estate that her family owned. The lawn was perfectly manicure and sprawled out for what felt like forever, the party's design was perfect, and the two cocktails that Erin had had since arriving seemed to be mixed to perfection. It wasn't like her family didn't own their own house in the Hamptons, but admittedly, it wasn't anything like this. Call it privileged, to be able to complain about the luxury level of one of your many houses, and you wouldn't be wrong. Erin had just always possessed something in her that made her want more. She wanted to be just as good, if not better, than her peers, and she hated feeling like she fell short. Her house in the Hamptons was very nice compared to many, but it didn't sit on Meadow Lane like the Arnault's did, and it was not nearly as spacious as the Shanks' was. It made her bitter, to a degree, but in her defense, it also made her want to do better.

Today was going to be a day of sheer fun though. That was what she had been trying to tell herself all day. Even if the party was being hosted by the family of a girl she didn't like, and even if she was going to be surrounded by some people she wasn't fond of, she was going to have fun. Who cares if Gabe is there, and if he's drooling all over Juliet? Or even Teegan? Who cares? Not me. And so what if I run into Edward? That night we shared was almost a month ago, and he was just as drunk as I was, so that's probably why he never called me back. I'll be fine. This will be fine. Throughout the day, she had done her best to reassure herself that she could have fun tonight, even if the mix of people there wasn't going to be the best. In order to prep herself enough to be in a good mood, she convinced Juliet to take a yoga class with her and get breakfast that morning. She knew that the blonde would be glued to Aaliyah's side come the party (and now, by the looks of it, she wasn't wrong), so she needed to get her time in with Juliet too, and post a few pictures on social media, to establish that they were friends as well. It was incredibly childish- a page out of a high schooler's playbook, but Erin couldn't help it. It wasn't like Juliet was the best friend in the world, and someone she would die without, but for Erin, it was the principle of it. The principle that Juliet was all she had left after all of her upper east side friends abandoned her, and then Aaliyah stole her in just a couple of month's time.

Even without a close friend by her side, Erin felt confident coming in on her own (well, with her cousin, but he wasn't important enough to be considered as an actual extra person). She was dressed in a white romper with Givenchy sandals to match, and as soon as she had gotten into the party, she knew that she looked good. She didn't have trouble striking up conversation with a few acquaintances, and helping herself to a drink or two as she mingled. She had spotted Juliet earlier, but since she had been talking to some of the girls they had went to school with, most of whom still refused to acknowledge Erin's distance, she had kept her distance. Other than her, Erin had not seen anyone else she was particularly close with, but judging by the amount of people at the party, that didn't necessarily mean that they weren't actually here yet. They most likely just hadn't crossed paths yet, so she took out her phone and texted Brynn.

To: Brynn
Hey girlie! Tell me you're here!

The White Party, an annual shindig where those of good status and wealth would congregate and gossip about each other and diss those of lesser status and wealth. Talk of business, vacations, scandals mixed with copious amounts of liquor was always a good time, well it would have been for Brynn if not for one little detail. The hosts. Brynn's hatred for the Shanks was well known. Aaliyah was what some would call an arch enemy of sorts. Ever since she slept with the Queen Bee's so-called Prince Charming, the girl couldn't seem to get her head out of her ass when around Brynn. Her family, by association, was also in Brynn's long book of names of the people she wanted to pistol whip. Luckily, Beau had ended up on the list of people Brynn din't want to maim. Despite all this though, her family was still forcing her to come. She just hoped that it didn't get disastrous.

Just as her families limo pulled up to the party she received Erin's message. The thought of the girl brought a smile to her lips. Ah yes, one of the few reasons the party might be okay. Erin was one of the people Brynn held dear, and her bubbly personality lured her in. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if she could stay away from her enemies and just chill with the few people she was fond of.

To: Erin
Just pulled up hun. Not excited for this at all. Fucking Shanks. Where did they get that last name anyways... Prison? Anyways, I'll find you. You'll be the one in white, right?

Brynn was full of sass and sarcasm, but for Erin it was all in good jest. As she hit send, the driver pulled open her door and Brynn slid out. She wore a beautiful white Prada dress that hugged her curves in all the right places and had gorgeous detailing of golden studs and frill on the sleeves. Topped with a black belt (as a bit of rebellion to the whole 'white' theme) she was ready. Now she just had to find her friend. She made sure to scoop up a mimosa from a nearby waitor on the way.

ERIN BRENNANImage
Erin received a response from Brynn only a minute or so after she sent hers, so she still had her phone in hand and beamed at the quick answer. Thank God. Brynn's presence was going to be necessary as the party progressed and she was relieved that her roommate was finally arriving. Although the girls lived together in Manhattan, it sometimes felt as if they never saw each other, especially during the summer. Both girls worked for their fathers' companies during the day time, and at night and on weekends, frequently hung out together, but also, frequently had plans that kept them out of the apartment. No matter where they were, though, Erin felt like she could always have a good time with Brynn. What made her coming today even better, was that she wouldn't be the only one in white who disliked the family hosting them. In reality, Erin had nothing against any of the Shanks aside from Aaliyah, but that didn't matter really. All that mattered was that she didn't like Aaliyah, and the disdain seemed to be a mutual one. Although Erin felt like it was unjustified for Leah to have any ill feelings towards her when she was the one in the wrong, it also made sense that Aaliyah wouldn't like her. While she had not attended The Spence School with her and Juliet, Aaliyah had still been a part of the Upper East Side, and she was friendly with a lot of the same girls who had dropped Erin from their social circle. At the very least, today Erin could say that her beef with Aaliyah had nothing on the issues that she knew existed between Brynn and Aaliyah. Erin and Brynn were close enough where Erin knew about what had went on between Brynn and Beau... and the mere fact that Beau's infidelity had not immediately dissolved the marriage plans shocked Erin. What was equally shocking, was that an invitation was still extended to Brynn's family to come to the celebration. Erin supposed that maybe Aaliyah's family didn't know about it, or in typical Upper East Side fashion, it wasn't important enough to break social code.

To: Brynn
Hahahaha you're too much for me ;D i'm in that romper i showed you a few days ago! come find me and quick!! dying here without you!

Unsurprisingly, it was easier for Erin to pick out the Brazilian beauty than it probably was for her to do the other way around. She had picked up a mimosa of her own on the way over, and greeted Brynn with an exuberant smile. If the mimosa in her hand didn't seem like the perfect recipe to ruin a white dress with one wrong tilt, she would have squeezed her into a bear hug, with how glad she was to see her, though. "My oh my, don't you clean up just wonderfully, Miss Calloway?" Erin teased as she enthusiastically looked Brynn up and down before breaking the act it with a laugh. All joking aside, she really did look wonderful. While it seemed to be more typical for Brynn to dress in clothes that were sometimes revealing or edgier in style, it made sense that at an upscale event like this (especially one that her family was attending), she would look nothing short of regal. "Don't let me keep you for too long though," she continued with a smirk. "I'm sure you want to go and chat with Leah and her family. You know, thank them for hosting such a nice event and all," she teased.

Aaliyah was clearly a mirror image of her mother, in terms of being able to throw a flawless event. It wasn't like Juliet had not attended this party countless times in the past years, but every time that she showed up at the annual white party, she was impressed at Debby's party planning skills. Everything was perfect, and no one would expect anything less of the a Shanks. Juliet had very reluctantly come with her mother and her "boyfriend", who happened to be Teegan's father. She would deny it being as completely immature as it was, but Juliet disliked the man for a few reasons, but mostly because of who his daughter was. Ask Juliet why she disliked Teegan so much, and she really wouldn't be able to give you a solid answer. One minute she would reason that she was a horrible singer who was destined to be a one hit wonder, and the next, because she was a jealous slut. Really, though, was it her fault that Teegan's ex-boyfriend was obsessed with her? It was Juliet who had slept with him first, so if anyone had a right to be petty, shouldn't it have been her? At this point, she would just scoff and tell you that the slut wasn't worth her time, but at the same time, wouldn't mind tossing a few jabs in before and after telling you that she wasn't going to waste her precious time talking about her. Understandably, though, Teegan's father was the last person that she wanted her mother to be dating, and the fact that it meant that she had to occasionally spend time with Teegan was a big reason for it.

When Aaliyah had found her, Juliet had been (barely) involved in a conversation with some acquaintances. She didn't find the guy talking to be half as amusing as he thought himself to be, so when she spotted her friend headed towards her, she easily separated herself from the group. "You're always stressing about something, Leah! This is like, the official last party of the summer and I refuse to let you spend the afternoon stressed about something you can't even control!" It was probably easier for Juliet to say and think than it was for Aaliyah, though. She was aware of how strict Leah's mother was, or at least, strict was what it seemed like to Juliet. Even if that was true, it was still hard for her to grasp that maybe it was possible that Aaliyah strove for greatness not because she was forced to by her parents, but because she actually wanted, personally, to achieve those things. She knew that Aaliyah was a perfectionist (that kind of went without saying), but she felt like some of her need to want to be the best had to come because her parents had sky high expectations for her. Luckily for Juliet, she didn't have to worry about that. Or so it had seemed lucky for a while. Now, there were times when she almost wished that her parents had pushed her into something. Be it a sport, or a musical interest, or academics, or some other hobby, she wished that she was really good at something. Something with the potential for a future, and something with the potential to support herself. Modeling was fun and it did make her money, but it wasn't something that she took seriously. It was hard to, when like everything else in her like, if her father hadn't had connections in the industry, she never would have gotten involved in it. Whether she really wanted it or not, Juliet was at a point in her life where she needed something that was her own. Not a job where she could never be fired because her dad wrote everyone's check. Not even having a vague idea of what she wanted to do with her life made that difficult, and maybe a bit ironically, knowing that she was set for life to an extent where she didn't have to do anything made it more difficult too.

She sipped the lemon water in her hand, tempted to grab a mimosa when Aaliyah took one from a passing server. It was unusual, if not absurd, to see Juliet turn down a drink, but she was still nursing a hangover from the night before, and her morning filled with yoga and Erin's never ending chatter had not done her aching head any good. She would certainly pick up an alcoholic beverage within the next few minutes, but she was hoping her Advil would kick in first. If not, she would treat the ailment with alcohol. Looking around, she picked Erin out, only a few yards away. What brought a smile to her face, brought it away just as quickly, when she noticed the girl standing beside her. "Oh my God, why did you let your mom invite her family?" She said, referring to Brynn. In typical Juliet filter-less fashion, her followup question was no better, being, "Where's Beau?"

TEEGAN HANSLEY

Location The White Party : The Shanks' Hampton Estate

Teegan stared at her ceiling. Her body unmoving and her breathing labored. In a few moments she needs to start getting ready for The Shanks party. She had gotten an invitation. At first she thought it was to be entertainment, but it seems like they honestly want her to attend. Teegan eagerly accepted the invitation and almost instantly regretted it. She figured out who was invited and has been trying to find ways to get out of it. But its hard to get out of a very important party. This is a career move for her. Despite all the people that would be there. Juliet being one of them. A scowl came to her lips at the thought of the pretentious blonde. A spoiled princess who never did anything on her own. Despite all the money she has, Teegan work ten times harder and earned way more. Just the idea of seeing the bitch was making it hard for her to want to attend. Turning her head to the left she saw her producer putting his clothes back on. "You can't be late for this party Teegan." he mumbled to her.

She rolled her eyes and pulled the blanket over her face. He sounded like her father. Her father had not failed to text her hours early to say that he was attending the party with his new 'girlfriend'. His new girlfriend was the bitch's mother of course. Which only added to the hatred she held for the blonde. "I know. I know. You sound like a broken record, Michael." She exclaimed, her voice muffled by the covers. "I have to repeat myself when you don't seem to be listening. Get out of bed." Michael turned around and yanked blankets from her hands. He exposed half of her naked body to the cold air. Getting dressed was the last thing on her mind right now. Especially with her producer's eyes roaming her body. "I can't get dressed with you staring at me." Teegan wrapped her arms around her own body. "Besides. Don't you need to get back to Mrs. Lyles." she teased. They were both attending the party. Michael nodded and grabbed his shirt from the left side of her bed. Quickly leaning down and planting a kiss on her lips, her grabbed the rest of his things he headed out of her bedroom. "Get dressed Hansley." he said right before he shut the front door.

Her chocolate hued eyes glanced at the clock. She had and hour and half to get dressed and get to the party. A sigh escaped her and she finally pushed herself off of the bed. She dashed into the bathroom and started cleaning herself up. She smelled like sex and rum initially and now she smelled like tranquility and grapefruit. A towel wrapped around her waist and she did her hair and makeup. Making sure each eyebrow was even, she determined her makeup was good enough. She put on her matching bra and underwear set and then squeezed herself into the white dress. Gripping the sides of her dress, she pulled up the bottom and walked towards her silver heels. The strap was secure and then she stood before a body mirror. She looked decent for pulling this together in about forty-five minutes. She smiled proudly at herself and then she grabbed her phone. Teegan phoned for her driver.

Within twenty minutes she arrived at the estate. Many people had already arrived. There was really one person that she was looking for. She was honestly hoping that the blonde bimbo would not be with her father. Finally she spotted him with his girlfriend. Juliet was just a couple steps away talking to the hosts daughter. Teegan grabbed a glass of champagne on her way towards her father. She smiled brightly at him. "Hi daddy." she said. Her father leaned down and kissed her cheek. "Hello Teegan. You looked lovely." he responded. Her smile brightened. Teegan smiled politely at his girlfriend, but did not say anything to her. Just an older version of the spoiled brat. "I have to mingle. Michael said. I will talk to you later." she assured her father.

The singer songwriter, sipping her champagne enjoy the aesthetic of the party. She talked to be people that she did know and people that she did not know. She was very polite. And she was actually happy not to have run into Gabriel yet. He does not seem to be here yet. Teegan did not want to watch him follow around Juliet like some love sick puppy. Not when she would rather he follow her around. And Edward has yet to be found. Another relief. She did not want to deal with someone she was using as rebound. At least not right now. Maybe later tonight. After a couple more glasses of champagne.

"The summer should go out with a bang, but I'd prefer it be a blonde
that I bang..."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
One might be surprised by the amount of people who Gabriel was familiar with at the Shanks' party. There were people who he wasn't shockingly familiar with. They were the ones who were his own age, or the families that his family had grown up with. There were people who he was more than familiar with, like Teegan Hansley, his exgirlfriend, who he had watched with a hard stare walk into the party at a distance, before she disappeared into the sea of white. Juliet Arnault and Aaliyah Shanks fell into that category too, he supposed, if he was trying to brush Teegan off as just being a sexual experience like those two girls. However, there were other people, some older, and some just distant from his own family's connections, who he mingled with too. He knew them in a different way than he knew those old familiar faces, and it was a way that neither party would vocalize aloud at such an event. They were his clients, the ones who he catered to through his "side" business. While may talked cocaine up to be Wall Street's drug of choice, Gabe had tapped into that same market with his prescription pills business, and it was an undeniably large market at that. Crushed and snorted, a lot of his pills gave similar effects as cocaine, and in a world where everyone cared about their image, many felt "cleaner" or less illegal using prescription pills than a completely illegal drug like cocaine, even if the drug, not prescribed to them, was still very much illegal. While he was happy to converse with these people at the party, he appreciated the unspoken rule that their business deals were never brought up. He normally didn't mind talking business at parties if it meant talking money, but today, he was in the mood to relax. He didn't want to have to start lists in his phone on who he needed to get pills for. He wanted to continue to sip the glass of scotch that he had, have some good food, and enjoy the party's atmosphere with friends. Sure, that was going to be a little difficult with so many of his ex "something"'s in one place at one time, but Gabe would deal with it with a smirk on his face. He always managed to.

Although from the outside, Gabe appeared to be enthralled by what the brunette in front of him was gushing about, he really hadn't heard a word since the conversation started five minutes before. His gaze continued to switch between Ed, who was a good distance away chatting with some older woman, Juliet and Aaliyah, who were on the other side of the yard, Teegan, who was by them, and then back to the girl in front of her. He really only humored her with the ocasional glance and chuckle because she was smoking hot... and he was willing to gift himself with a girl like he. This summer deserved to go out with a bang... but the gorgeous girl in front of him wasn't going to be his first choice of the night. Hell, she wasn't even his second choice. Not even the third. His top three choices were Juliet, Teegan and Erin, and strangely, in that order. What was strange about it was that it was basically the opposite order of attainability. Erin was definitely the easiest of the three because she reeked of desperation. It was mean, maybe, but true in Gabe's mind. Juliet was definitely the hardest because she barely even spoke to him since the night he slept with Aaliyah years ago. Very rarely since then, he could get her to answer a text, and now and then, if they were out at the same party and he just so happened to have her pills on him (which, admittedly, he frequently carried on purpose just in case he saw her), he could get her to accept them in exchange for some conversation. It was never more than that though, and honestly, Gabe didn't know why he wanted more. It was an unfounded obsession, but one that seemed impossible for him to get over.

Lastly, there was Teegan, and she fell in murky water because of their history. He would get occasional texts from her when she was completely wasted, wanting to hook up in a "no strings attached" manner, and Gabe had played into it a few times, but he always hated himself after doing so because with a girl like her, it was impossible to have sex without feelings. Even if he knew that it was possible, maybe even likely, that he still had some sort of feelings for her, he didn't want to explore them anymore. He had put himself out there once, and opened himself up to a girl one time, and since that had failed, he wasn't going to try again. Especially not now, when her music career had taken off and he was sure that she had moved on to some big shot singer or something anyway. Even if he wanted to get back with Teegan seriously, he knew it wouldn't last long anyway. He wasn't ready to give up his side business just yet, and Juliet, who had been the breaking point for their relationship, was still someone he tried texting on a regular basis. He could tell Teegan he would stop, and just focus on her, but it would be a lie that she would surely unravel with time. He wished it wasn't so, and he wished that he could just be happy without wanting more, especially "more" that was unattainable, but he just couldn't.

Just as he raised his glass of scotch to confirm that yes, it was now empty, the woman who Ed had been talking to passed by him, and instantly, he excused himself from his brunette conversation partner, who looked a tad bit offended as he slid past her and over to his friend. He placed a hand on Ed's shoulder, a bit roughly, as he approached him from behind. "You into MILFs now or something, man? What was that about? Or shit, tell me that was Beau's mom, and you're trying to fuck his girl and his mom. I'd give you props for that, man."

Edward was the kind of person who enjoyed parties. He really did, and it wasn't just because many of them resulted in him getting the numbers of more than just a few girls, who would likely end up in his bedroom one night that week. No, he just liked the atmosphere of parties. Even ones like this, that were filled with pretentious New Yorkers, with made up problems, living in their top 1% bubble. Ed couldn't really speak on the guests here because he was one of them, and not much different, in financial situation, at least. In terms of character and depth, he liked to think that he differed from the people around him. He wasn't so caught up in himself that he thought that he was incredibly intellectual or a much better person than everyone else, but he liked to think that he wasn't so superficial. Maybe it was more of a hope than a truth, though. Blending into the crowd perfectly, in his all white outfit of white chino pants and a white button down with the sleeves rolled up and a few buttons popped, he surely felt less individual than he liked. Regardless, he was going to have a good time today. The vibes at events like these were always good ones, and since this was the last real party of the summer, that was especially true, since everyone seemed to be in the same mindset of wanting to end the season on a good note.

Ed had arrived to the party alone. Though his family had received invitations as well, both of his parents were back in Berlin for something related to his father's work, and his sisters were out of state as well. They were all valid excuses too, since one did not just miss this party for no reason. Debby Shanks had enough guests where she wouldn't be bothered by his family not coming, but for your own health, you didn't just not come to a Shanks party for no reason. You would surely be the one regretting it when your social media feeds were flooded with pictures, and the talk for the next week consisted only of inside jokes that arose from the afternoon. Just because he had come alone, though, didn't mean that he was alone for very long. He had chatted with Gabe for a little while when he had gotten there, and a few other acquaintances as well. He had returned to the house for just a minute to use the restroom, and when he reappeared, he had been caught in conversation by a woman who explained that she owned an art gallery out in Greenport and would love for him to showcase his work there sometime. They conversed for a good ten minutes or so before she excused herself, and since the conversation had ended on a good note, it left Ed in an even better mood. One that seemed necessary, considering the playful mood Gabe was clearly in when his friend approached him. "Yeah right, man," he said, smirking. "I'm sure she wishes, but nah, she just was talking to me about some art gallery she owns. You know how it goes, I'm sure. Gotta add in a little business talk, even if this party's supposed to be all about fun," he joked. He was unaware that Gabe had no intentions of making any "transactions" today, but it wasn't unusual for him to see a quick hand to hand deal go down at parties. He didn't touch on the part about the woman being Beau's mother specifically, because it just wasn't necessary. He appreciated the dig just as much as the smirk on Gabe's face suggested he did, though. Ed wasn't into woman who were that much older than himself, but if it meant pissing Beau off a little bit more, his mother, no matter how old, might have been an exception to that rule. Ed didn't like sleeping with girls who were taken anyway, but when it came to a girl who had Beau's ring on her finger, he had made an exception, so why not again? "Have you seen Aaliyah, though? I thought I would have run into her by now."

Beau lingered through the halls of large Hampton estate owned by the Shanks. His left hand tucked deep in his pant pocket while his right hand held loosely to a short glass of whiskey on the rocks. He sipped with every few steps, wishing to be anywhere other than this party. Beau didn’t mind being with his fiancée’s family, he just wouldn’t consider this much of a party without a good DJ, a line of coke, and strobing lights. He let out an exasperate sigh and continued his walk through the house, taking the halls that would lead him outside to where everyone else would be. In his mind, Aaliyah’s voice played like a broken record. “Please watch your intake today. We don’t want a repeat of last year. Just…don’t get too boozy too early.” He rolled his eyes at the thought. I can handle my liquor, woman. Beau thought to himself – of course, he would never utter those words to Leah – he knew better than to speak to her like that. Beau took a sip again of his whiskey. He stood now in the doorway, leading outdoors. He looked on as the guests mingled, smiled, and laughed with each other as though they were all great friends. They’re all bloody fakes, Beau thought. None of these people even like each other. All just putting on a show for each other. With yet another exasperated sigh, Beau stepped down from the doorway and outside where the party actually was. He smiled and nodded towards people who noticed and acknowledged him. With every few steps he’d throw out a ‘Hello’ or a ‘Mr.____, how’s the business?’ or a ‘You look wonderful.’ Beau had made this event just as much his as it was the Shanks’. Since he was running for office, he knew the mingling he’d do today would certainly help him in his election. He walked around to every big name he knew, sweet talking them into believing he was the best candidate, that he was a great person, convincing them that he had nothing to hide and they had everything to gain from him.

Lies spewed out of Beau’s mouth, and before not too long, he grew tired of keeping up the façade. Beau had his drink reordered twice. His third whiskey drink touched his lips and a soft buzz rang in Beau’s mind. After mingling with several people, he found Leah across the backyard talking to Juliet. He graciously excused himself from current conversations and began his walk across the yard to her. As he walked across the lawn, he could see his friend and distant memory of more standing with Erin. Beau smiled, winked and raised his glass in welcome to Brynn. He didn’t stop to talk to her, but rather kept walking until he reached Leah. He politely interrupted her conversation, wrapped an arm around Leah’s waist and kissed her cheek. “Love, all right?” Beau’s English accent reigning heavily on every word he spoke. The English never really used the American phrase ‘how are you’ but rather asked if everything was alright, it was their way of greeting others. He then turned his attention to her friend, "Juliet. All right?" he said to her with a smile. He turned to speak to Leah as he sipped on his drink. "Posh party love, where's mum? She's thrown a lovely gathering." Beau hated being here, but he wasn't going to let Leah know that.

Brynn smiled at Erin's jests and rolled her eyes. "You've been hanging around me too much Miss Brennan, I can hear the sass seeping in your veins." She joked and nudged the girl. "As for the party... Well, I've seen better. I mean, as cool as all white is, its a disaster bound to happen. Someone forgets a tampon, another person spills a drink? This would be a very tragic scene, si?" It was very like Brynn to mix some of her native language into her everyday speech. Most of her friends had gotten to the point where they knew some common phrases, but it was when Brynn got mad and stared spouting curses in Portuguese that they had to ask for clarification.

Waiting for Erin's response, Brynn smiled and brought the mimosa to her lips, only to catch the eye of Beau from across the lawn. He raised his glass and winked at her. She was suddenly hit with a hard realization about the drink in her hand. Her smile faultered for a moment before she lowered the glass from her lips and smiled back at him softly, wiggling her eyebrows at him so she didn't seem out of character. The hard truth was that her and Beau were a fling, still while he was dating Aaliyah of course. This had caused her some hate, but thats not what really mattered. She still loved Beau as a friend, but recently she had found out a shocking little secret. She was pregnant... With Prince Charming kid.

In many ways this news could ruin her life. After she had started having morning sickness she had known, taken a test and then had a moment of weakness where she cried. Brynn never cried. Luckily she had hid this from her room mate, and from everyone else. Now she had to deal with this and she was going to slowly run out of time. She didn't know what to do or who to trust with this.

When the next waitor came by, she gave him her untouched mimosa, asked for lemonade and turned her attention back to Erin.

ERIN BRENNANImage
It only took a few words to have Erin chuckling at what Brynn was saying. "Mmmm, you make a good point there," she responded with an eager nod. "I plan on having more than a couple of these," she said, raising her mimosa, "So I guess you better watch yourself, because by the end of the afternoon, I might be that person who makes a point of why white parties and alcohol are bad ideas, and that gorgeous dress of yours might be the victim in all of it," she added with a grin, before taking a hearty sip of the beverage. As she lowered the drink, she turned her attention back to Brynn just to catch her making some sort of eye contact with the one and only, Beau, who stood across the lawn. Their distance was large enough that the interaction would likely go unnoticed by anyone who wasn't paying attention to one of them, like Erin was doing to Brynn, but she still thought it was risky. Maybe it was dramatic, but Erin felt like Brynn needed to be more conspicuous than that, given whose house they were at, but then again, this was Brynn that they were talking about. She was the girl who didn't care about people's expectations and social standards, and somehow managed to get away with it, too. Though Erin was far too obsessed with the high society culture to ever try to break the norms herself, she could, at least, appreciate her roommate's boldness internally. It took guts to be your own person in a society that praised fitting in and following the rules.

She raised her eyes when Brynn suddenly seemed to have a change of heart, and returned her mimosa in favor of a lemonade. That was out of character, and really, Erin couldn't fathom a reason behind it. Here Brynn was, at a party being hosted by the family of the girl whose fiancé she slept with. If anyone other than Beau knew, Brynn was definitely going to receive daggered glares throughout the party, ones that would probably be enough to make Erin want to leave... and yet, the girl wanted to do it sober?! Why?! How?! "A lemonade? Really, Bri? You do know that lemonades are non-alcoholic and that alcohol is probably the only thing that is going to get us through this party, right?." Erin was making a big deal out of it only somewhat, because she was genuinely confused. No one in Brynn's predicament should have been turning down a drink, and especially no one who was typically known to enjoy alcohol.

Aaliyah chuckled lightly at Juliet's explanation that she basically needed to relax, which was a lot easier said than done considering how her mother was. Even if Juliet herself would walk up to Deborah Shanks and declare that the event was the most flawless of all of her annual parties, Debby would still find the most minuscule thing to be upset about. There wasn't a white chocolate fountain close to the regular milk chocolate fountain, she would complain. One of these dumb bitches who obviously don't know how to read wore egg shell, she would say. Fix your hair - nothing ever really signified absolute perfection, not unless everyone was dead and Debby was able to control every aspect of their corpses. And since that couldn't happen - well, Aaliyah focused on the fact that despite the guests that were present and her brother needing to be on the way before she had to hear about it, she was grateful for Juliet's presence.

"Okay, okay. I'll try," she replied with a playful smirk, peering over the blonde's shoulder at the male she had just been talking to. One of Leah's eyebrows rose in question when she turned her face back to Juliet. "I'm guessing Kellan Lutz wasn't your type?" She inquired and sipped on her mimosa, eyes returning to the crowd as she wondered where her fiance might have disappeared to. She knew that her earlier request for him to behave was a bit condescending, but Aaliyah couldn't help it when he gave her every reason not to trust his public antics. Was Beau suave? Debonair? Yes and double yes. However, neither of those adjectives meant a goddamn thing once had a few drinks and whatever other discombobulating substance he was privy to in his system. It made her think about Ed, though she refused to ask Juliet about him. She kept both the friendship aspect and the not-so-friendly aspect of their relationship from her best friend, even when she actually wanted to spill. Besides, there were some things Aaliyah wanted to keep to herself and Ed was one of them.

It was only a few seconds later that Aaliyah was shaken out of he reverie. Her gaze fell on Erin and Brynn, neither of whom actually impressed or managed to sustain Aaliyah's attention long enough for her gaze not to be considered a passing glance. Erin just did nothing for Aaliyah. She did not intimidate her nor did she actually serve as competition. Obviously, no matter how amazing the bitch might have thought she was or even how great Juliet claimed she was, there had to be something wrong with her if mostly every girl their age in the Upper East Side looked upon her with abhorrence. And Brynn was just the slut of Manhattan. Not even her family's money could save her from going down in history as such. But still, something vile rose at the back of Aaliyah's throat at the thought of the skank and Juliet's follow-up question made her eyes roll with contempt as she took another sip of her mimosa. "Tightening his chastity belt, if he knows what's good for him," she muttered coldly, tensing for a moment when an arm wrapped around her waist. A second later and lips were pressed against her skin and Aaliyah finally recognized the light stubble against her cheek for she smiled and relaxed in Beau's arms, fighting the impulse to give Brynn a stare that would remind the bitch that he was here and not with her trashy ass. She bit back the frown in favor of a smiling nod when Beau inquired of her well-being and her gaze remained on him even when he turned to Juliet.

Say what you will about Aaliyah - that she is some kind of ice queen or anything of that nature. The point was that she did love Beau, a lot more than most people gave her credit. The hardest part of it all was that, and it honestly was not fair to herself or him, she was not sure if she was in love with him. Giving Beau up meant losing and she would rather he do something than ever have to concede first. She would be damned if that happened, not after all the work she has put in to maintain their public image as one of the best prime couples of the whole Manhattan area. However - Aaliyah stopped and her face turned expressionless because Beau was questioning her again, so she turned her face back to the crowd for a moment. "It is, isn't it?" She replied on a cheery tone before meeting his gaze, smile returned and any trace of her former impassivity gone. "She should be in the gardens. A few of her associates arrived when I went upstairs and I heard her gushing about it, so they're probably still over there."

There was little time for Juliet to respond to Aaliyah, with anything more than a surprised laugh at her comment, before the topic of their conversation appeared. It was hard for her to like Beau after she found out that he had been unfaithful towards Aaliyah. She, of course, was biased, because Aayliah was her best friend, but she thought Beau was a jerk. One who had grown too cocky, crossed a line, and needed a reality check. She had never been extraordinarily close to Beau, but in the beginning of Aaliyah's relationship with him, Juliet had supported it. Beau was an attractive guy, had an accent that could woo any girl, and seemed fun to be around. Back then, she couldn't have produced a reason for why Aaliyah shouldn't date him, but now, she could come up with an infinite amount of them. However, it was easy for Juliet to insist that her friend needed to leave him immediately because she had never been in a real, long term relationship herself. She didn't really know what it was like to fully invest yourself in someone, and how life-altering and traumatic it could be to go from being engaged to someone, to never speaking to them again. Maybe it was because she saw Aaliyah as being such a strong female though, that she thought it was necessary, or just to be expected, too. She had just never thought of Aaliyah as the kind of girl who would allow someone to cheat on her, and still remain in a relationship with them. Had Juliet known Leah's little secret, about her vengeful affair too, maybe all of this would have been more understandable. For now, though, Beau had been crossed off her good list, and she still felt like he needed to be cut out of Leah's life, no matter how reassuring she tried to act, about having it under control.

"Mhmm," she hummed in response to his question, a forced smile upon her face as she looked from Aaliyah, to Beau, and then to his glass, and down to her own. Her plan to drink water for a while was a short lived one because now, she was ready to scout out the next waiter for an alcoholic beverage. Preferably one with a very high percent of alcohol content. Erin was still standing with Brynn which meant that she couldn't scurry over to the other blonde, who was always good about entertaining Juliet whenever she needed someone to talk to. Brynn was even worse than Beau was, in her opinion. They had both committed the same offense, and Beau's technically should have been seen in a worse light, since he was the one who owed Leah his loyalty, but Leah still liked Beau (for some reason that was not understood by Juliet), so she would deal with him. Brynn, on the other hand, was so much easier to pin as the main enemy for the entire affair, so it was easy to look at her with a disgusted scowl every time she came into her line of vision. Why Erin chose to share an apartment with that girl, who was probably a host to a million STDs, was a question that still perplexed Juliet. If she truly thought of Erin as a best friend, she would have just extended an invite for her to move into her apartment, just to get her away from that filth, but Juliet didn't care that much. She liked Erin because she felt like she was similar to her, at least in terms of their upbringing and childhood, but they weren't incredibly close. Maybe ten years ago, but not now. "Well, let me leave you two... lovebirds... be," she said, purposely not even attempting to hide her discomfort at the "lovebirds" title, or the way her nose just slightly scrunched in distaste as she said it. Juliet had never been great at hiding her feelings or thoughts, no matter how inappropriate or unwelcoming they could be in the moment. "There is a mimosa calling my name... somewhere over there," she continued, taking a step away before turning back with a playful grin to say, "Don't miss me too much," to Aaliyah (and Aaliyah only), blowing her a kiss, and continuing off. She wanted to hang out with her girl, but not with Beau there. Maybe that was one more reason to add to the book for why she didn't like Beau. Having a best friend who was engaged, or even when it had only just been a serious relationship, meant less girl time. Girl's nights outs were swapped for date nights, and though Aaliyah was usually more responsible than she, Juliet still liked to be dramatic and act like she had lost a significant partner for getting nearly-blackout drunk while out "scouting" for cute guys at clubs. Beau was annoying an unnecessary, and if he wasn't the Prince Charming he had been when they had first met him, why was he still here?

Tension sat in the air as Beau stood with Leah and Juliet. It was as though Satan himself stood behind Beau, lightly blowing cold air on the nape of his neck. The discomfort wasn’t something that Beau wasn’t used to by now. Girls talk, Beau was aware of that. He was even more aware that Leah knew of his past mistakes, long before he ever admitted them, and had let Juliet know of the disgusting antics Beau was up to in his free time. Beau also knew that once his secret was out to the Leah’s closest friend, he’d no longer be the charming young lad from England he used to be. No. Now he’s the rubbish that Leah should get rid of but keeps around for someone’s sake. Whatever. To Beau it was all the same. He couldn’t care less what her friends thought of him as long as they all kept their mouths shut about his business and let him go on his merry way. Essentially, what Leah was currently doing about the situation. After all, it seemed to work for the both of them. As Juliet left their side, Beau rolled his eyes to her abrasive valediction. Beau turned his head to a departing Juliet and spit his out farewell at her, “Cheerio, love.” Beau’s eyes may have well rolled back into his head with the attitude that came out with the short sentence. There was no kindness left between Juliet and Beau as there once had been. It only bothered Beau when she acted as childish as she did. Otherwise, it meant nothing to him.

Beau’s eyes floated around the vicinity. ”Love, tell me something. Will she ever pull her head from her arse?” Beau’s lips touched his glass but shortly realized he had been running on empty again. He signaled for another and set his empty glass down on a passing waiter’s tray. Beau’s eyes didn’t mean Leah’s as he already knew she was probably making a face or was getting ready to comment about his intake. How many was that? She’d ask and Beau would have to tell her to cool it before telling her he was quickly moving onto his third or fourth drink. ”I’m going to mingle, babe. I’m sure there’s someone here who’s ass I can kiss to put me at the top of the ballot. I’ll catch you in a bit.” Beau kissed Leah quickly and moved. As he moved through the yard, he passed Juliet. He stood by her for a short second while he waited for the waiter to meet him with his drink. “Get your nose out of my business now, eh?” Beau spoke with a false smile slathered to his lips as though cameras were constantly watching his every move, waiting for him to mess up. “My life’s got nothing to do with you so move along, ight?” Beau smiled and nodded to passing guests, took the drink that was being presented to him by a server and without giving Juliet enough time to make a departing comment, walked off.

Sipping on his drink in between steps, Beau went to the one place he probably shouldn’t have. He saw Brynn and Erin from a distance and he was getting tired of the snobby, posh people his mother-in-law to-be had invited. A light stroll with his hand in his pocket sent him straight into Brynn’s arms. “Ladies,” he said with a smile on his face as he double kissed both of their cheeks. “I hope you’re enjoying this party as much as I am?” He said jokingly, raising his glass to them with a light chuckle. Beau’s eyes fell on the rest of the party. From a distance, he could see Leah, Juliet and a few guys, one of which was Edward, which Beau was not particularly fond of and the other was Gabe. He scowled at the back of their heads before turning back to Erin and Brynn. He noticed Brynn’s hand held onto a lemonade and his eyebrow raised. “B, dear, that’s no way to get through one of these shit-fests. You need one of these.” He said pointing to his drink in hand. Beau turned to a waiter, raising his hand to get their attention.

"The summer should go out with a bang, but I'd prefer it be a blonde
that I bang..."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
"Nah, no business talk for me today, man. Today's all about relaxation. Scotch, food, and relaxation." If he knew which girl he wanted today to be about, he would have thrown her name in there too. Anyone who knew Gabe would know that his first answer for that question would be Juliet, and it wasn't like today was any different. He didn't even know why he was so captivated by the blonde. Maybe it was because he knew he couldn't have her. Even when they were sleeping together, years ago, she wasn't actually his. She wanted the drugs that he had, not him. Her lack of interest then, coupled with Aaliyah's warning that he better not try that again, plus her no longer needing his drugs, meant that he was likely chasing something that he would never have. He was a smart guy, there was no arguing that, so even he couldn't explain to someone why he didn't just give up. Juliet was gorgeous, but there were hoards of other gorgeous girls in the Upper East Side that he could have if he wanted. Like Teegan. She was someone who he actually had loved at one point, and the love had been reciprocated. He had a chance there, and one that he knew would actually be good for his life, and yet he couldn't even drop this... obsession... even for true love. It was crazy, and by now, he had convinced himself that he just needed to sleep with Juliet one last time to get the lust out of his system before he moved on. He knew that that would be a dangerous game to play, though. Not only had Teegan been texting him more lately (usually when she was intoxicated), but he knew that Aaliyah's warning still stood, despite it being made years ago. If he made real moves on Juliet, he knew it would cause drama, but maybe it was time to say "oh well". Gabe was a business man. He knew that when dealing with risky business, you had to make your move before it was too late, and he didn't want to miss his chance. The summer was almost over, maybe tonight would be his lucky night.

"Aaliyah?" He repeated, turning his head backwards as he tried to remember where he had last seen her. "I thought I saw her over there a little while ago. Talking to my future wife. You think I should seal the deal with Juliet tonight? Take her back to my place? Remind her of what she's been missing all these years?" Though his smirk made it evident that he knew he was being cocky, he wasn't joking with what he was saying. What probably made the situation messed up, though, was that while he was speaking about Juliet like that, he couldn't stop himself from sending a text to Teegan.

To: Teegan
i always said you looked good in white. today's no exception.

Brynn almost winced when Erin quickly picked up on her decision. Of course she would though, she was one of Brynn's best friends. She tried to think of an excuse, but the server handed her the drink and whisked away before she could say anything. And just when something was formulating in Brynn's mind, a kiss was placed on her cheek from none other then Beau. She smiled, though all the while her stomach felt queasy at the thought that her babies daddy was right beside her.

"Listen you two, we all know I love to drink. We also all know that this party is going to blow massive herpes infested balls... But I need to stay focused. If Aaliyah tries to pull any shit on me, I need to be ready to knock a bitch out." She said as an excuse. Though part of it was true. Her and Aaliyah had a past of sabotage. They were arch enemies of course. While Erin may be past friends with Juliet, Brynn didn't trust her or Aaliyah not to start anything tonight. If Brynn got into trouble her parents would surely kill her.

Brynn hummed, and to pull the attention away from her lack of drinking, she smirked and grabbed Beau and Erin. "I'm sick of these snobs. Why don't we go do something fun. No one would notice if we escaped, right?" She had been hoping to see some other people but to be honest, even though she just arrived, anymore of the judging stares and she would throat punch someone.

The blonde was tired of mingling. The smile was starting to hurt her cheeks. The champagne did not have a high enough alcohol concentration for her and to tie all this together she had spotted her ex. Teegan did not stare at Gabriel for long, in fact she made it a point to stay away from him. Though she would never admit this out loud, she still loved him. She would do just about anything for him. And it completely destroyed her when they broke up because the stupid spoiled bitch that she might have to soon call a step sister. Just that idea forced, Teegs to down the contents in the glass and grab another one.

She had seen Brynn and Erin over the way, conversing. She would make a point to talk to them before the night was up. But Michael, her producer, wanted her to use this party as a career booster. Casually drinking with friends was not a part of the plan. She took a sip of champagne. She needed to calm her nerves. More than anything she wanted to go home and become best friends with her Jack Daniels. It was better than this. Better than playing pretend. She would not be able to keep up this perfect image for long. Her phone buzzed and she glanced at the message sender. It was Gabriel. Rarely, does he send messages to her. Usually Teegan sends then when she is highly intoxicated. She read the message, not being able to stop the small smile that crept across her face. More than anything she wanted to respond in a way that would get him to take her home. But she was not drunk enough. And she is supposed to be over him

To: Gabriel
Thank you. You look quite handsome

That was safe. This party was going to be the death of her. "Teegan." She turned to her father's voice. Mrs. Arnault was linked to his arm, so the blonde smiled as politely as she could. "Could you find Juliet so we can all take a picture together." The smiled died. Teegan's main plan for tonight was to stay away from her. Every time they were together, they were arguing about something. "No." she said simply. Her father was not taking that as an answer. "Go find her. Now." It was as if Teegan was a child. Reluctantly agreeing, she went on the hunt for a skinny blonde bitch. It should not be hard to find a spoiled princess in the crowd. There were only two at this party. Aaliyah and Juliet.

After finishing another glass of champagne, she found Juliet. "Save the glare. Our parents want a picture." she said, not even attempting to pretend that she likes her. "The quicker we take this picture, the sooner we no longer have to see each other." She assured the blonde. Teegan waited for some arguing followed by some form of agreement. They needed to take this picture or their parents would just come and get them to do it later. She glanced over at Brynn and Erin for a moment before deciding to text them.

To: Erin, Brynn
I will need to be rescued soon

『Juliet Arnault』 & 『Teegan Hansley』
Image Image
Who the fuck does he think he is?! Juliet could not even comprehend that Beau had actually had the audacity to come at her like that. She had thought that she was being unnecessarily polite by even entertaining his presence minutes before. Did he not realize that she knew that he was a cheating pig, who had hurt her best friend? Did he think that his actions were somehow not severe enough to be cut out of Aaliyah's life completely, and kicked out of the Upper East Side's exclusive circle? He had gotten incredibly lucky that he had brainwashed Aaliyah enough before cheating on her, that she decided to give him another chance after the atrocity he committed with Brynn, so apparently, that had went to his head. He really thought that it was "his" business, and though in reality, it was, Juliet didn't see it that way. In her mind, he had basically committed a crime against humanity, and she was protective (and equally self-absorbed and dramatic) enough to act as if she had as much of a right as Aaliyah to hate him. Between her feeling like his act of infidelity as a personal attack on her, and then him coming at her when she felt like she hadn't even done anything wrong moment before, it was safe to say that she was sure that Aaliyah would come to her senses and call the wedding off when she relayed this encounter back to her best friend. She would be all talk in a few minutes, but Beau had caught her mid-sip of her mimosa, and had left her in a moment of shock before she could conjure a cutting response to spit back at him.

Him leaving before she had a chance to combat his criticism left her feeling even more heated, enough so that she paused sipping her mimosa and instead, spun around as he headed off, and stormed off to search for Aaliyah. Her luck led her to not only not find Leah where she had left her minutes before, but to have her pursuit interrupted by none other than Teegan, who was one of the last people she wanted to see in that moment, or ever. "Funny joke. I would rather be murdered than be photographed with you," Juliet responded quickly, a roll of her eyes indicating how silly she thought it was that Teegan would even think she would consider such a request. It wasn't surprising that their parents, and her mother in particular, were probably pushing for it, but Juliet wasn't going to consider such a request at this time. Not when she needed to find Aaliyah, and more so, not when Teegan and her father were definitely not family to her. In her mind, it made sense that Teegan was probably dying to join her family, because for one, Juliet had a high opinion on herself, and two, Teegan's own mother had passed away, and Juliet thought this somehow meant she was searching for a replacement. Juliet had her own father, and her own sister. Why would she take on another pair, especially when she felt them to be of a lower class than her?

Teegan did not have time for the princess to be rebellious. Their parents wanted a picture and she just wanted to get it out of the way. Having to deal with Juliet's attitude was not part of the plan. In fact it was up to Teegan, they would not even be talking at the moment. ""Trust me. I would rather be the one murdering you. The blonde glared at her future step sister. She never understood why her father needed to go and try and find love again. Him, Teegan, and her brother, Hunter, were family enough. Then he had to go and find the Arnault's. Playing pretend house was no longer amusing. Teegan did not have time for this any longer. "Now let's go. I just want this picture done with so I don't have to see your face for the rest of the night" With that, she turned on her heels and started heading towards where their parents were.

It was definitely easy to get under Juliet's skin because she was sensitive and dramatic. As seen with the Beau incident, she took things very personally because frequently, she expected people to just succumb to her requests and deal with her behavior, but she couldn't handle or understand how people could act similarly towards her. Teegan was definitely one of the people that Juliet found herself annoyed with almost instantly, and though she would tell you that it was because Teegan was a complete bitch, her own attitude had a lot to do with it. Had she not acted so condescending and disgusted by her mother's decision to interact with the family when it all began, maybe the two could have been friends, or at least civil. Juliet refused to compromise to anyone else's desires though, so when her mother refused to break up with Teegan's father, she had just continued to be melodramatic and bratty about it all, as if that would somehow result in her getting her way. Considering how long the two had been happily dating, one would have thought that Juliet would have gotten the message now, that a breakup wasn't likely. Juliet could have easily spun away and walked in the opposite direction after Teegan returned an insult to her and began towards their parents, but she didn't. She followed just a step behind her, not because she wanted to take the picture, but because she was petty and didn't want to let another "personal attack" go unanswered. "Please, don't even try to act like you're not obsessed with me. You come to every party I go to, even when you're not even friends with Aaliyah. Or are you just here to stalk your weird ex-boyfriend?"

Teegan thought she was going to have to drag the blonde towards the family, but she willing followed behind. She was grateful for that. Her father would not be pleased if his daughter had Juliet by her long blonde hair, dragging her towards everyone like some caveman. This was more civilized and worked well with her image. As a server waltzed by, Teegan took hold of another glass of champagne. Any more glasses and she won't have room for Jack Daniels. For a moment the blonde's silence was a gift. No attitude. No talk backs. But of course she brought up how Teegan was clearly obsessed with her. There was only one person in the world that was obsessed with her and he was standing over with his best friend. She took another sip of champagne."I attend parties that I am invited too because it is polite." She started, taking another sip of her alcohol. "If the invitation had also added, spoiled brat and obsessive ex will be in attendance I would have burned it" Teegan managed not to say the world happily, at the end of that. She stopped walking and turned to face Juliet. "You're mother may have told you that you are something special. But I'm here to tell you that you are nothing more than a snobby princess with a stick shoved too far up her ass. All my life decisions have nothing to do with you and I will gladly keep it that way." She smirked and turned back around to continue walking towards her father. Hopefully this shut her up.

As Juliet followed behind Teegan, she managed to get a text out to Aaliyah saying, "btw I hate Beau" before responding to Teegan again. She had rolled her eyes, despite them being focused on the phone, at what Teegan was saying. Juliet had no feelings for Gabriel at all. If anything, she found him to be obsessive, like Teegan said. Their hookups when she was just a teenager had meant nothing to her at the time, and nothing to her now, and yet he had never seemed to move on from them. She thought highly of herself in a lot of aspects, but even she wasn't cocky enough to claim that she had been that good in bed, especially as an inexperienced young girl. She didn't know why Gabriel continued to pursue her, especially after he slept with Leah, but considering that his big relationship had been with Teegan, she also couldn't say that she was surprised that he had gotten bored of her fast. Unlike what her parents probably told her, she was nothing special either. Teegan had a fan base that would probably dispute that claim, but it was valid in Juliet's mind, at least. She felt like verbalizing that, but didn't want to linger on that topic too much, because what Teegan had said was false. Juliet's mother didn't tell her that she was special and perfect, and in fact, a lot of the time, it was the complete opposite. Juliet was sick and tired of hearing from her mother about how when she was her age, she was already married and a mother, and how Juliet needed to get her act together and do something with her life. Teegan's family coming into the picture had only made that worse, because she had to hear over and over about Teegan's next album or Teegan's next tour or about how she 'needed to tune in to the radio station that was interviewing Teegan that morning!!!'. "Good, you better," Juliet shot back, after a slight pause. She would have tried to conjure another insult, but they were soon approaching Hélène and Thomas, and Juliet had to put on a feigned smile. "Sorry it took so long, Mother," she said with an exhalation. "Teegan made us stop like five waiters for champagne on the walk over." She said it in a casual, even happy tone, but her smile transformed into a smirk slightly a she glanced from her mother, to Teegan.

It would be just like Juliet to leave her alone. Aaliyah didn't want to think about the part where the other woman was leaving her alone with her fiance - the main person she would want to be alone with, in the first place. Or, at least, should. She should want to be alone with him and yet, the second her best friend muttered an excuse to leave their - more like, Beau's, but Leah wasn't going to damage his ego for the moment - presence, a frown marred her features once more. Beau bit out a few unnecessary parting words before turning a question to her, and Aaliyah's lips pressed into a thin line as she replied under her breath, "Maybe she's not the only one,". Of course, Beau was too distracted with desiring another drink and her frown deepened.

Seriously, how much could one person drink in two hours? It was literally the most frustrating thing on the planet and what was worse was that Leah knew damn well Juliet could probably give Beau a run for her money, and seemed to have more control in her right pinkie than he seemed to have at all. And that was saying something! "Babe..." She started, but Beau beat her to it with a swift exit and Aaliyah bristled as she watched him go. Alone, her eyes floated over the crowd, painting on a thin grin when a few of her father's associates flitted past her with small acknowledgements and best wishes for her engagement...yeah, her engagement. One big fucking joke and she seriously needed to continue taking her time with this one drink because what she didn't need was herself being drunk. Good things didn't happen when she was drunk...not at large settings like these anyway...where her mother could throttle her or drown her in the pool.

"Dad!" She called and briskly walked over to hug the older man, their embrace lasting long despite his present company. When she released him, the smile on Leah's face was far more genuine than a few minutes ago. "I talked to Marcel. Hopefully, he'll come and mom's blood pressure will be stable." She said and the older man smirked, face not in any way convinced. "That or we'll all catch hell," he replied and they both grinned, and instinctively, Aaliyah's gaze returned to the crowd only for her eyes to narrow at where Beau decided to stop...because he obviously wanted to die. He wanted to be killed and dragged to hell, and he wanted to take that bug-eyed bitch with him because Aaliyah wanted to see him burn. "You alright, pumpkin?" Her father's voice broke her out of her wanting-to-kill head-space and Leah could see her father trying to follow her gaze, so she stepped around him to block the path. The last thing Beau needed - or even wanted - was her father mopping the floor with his ass because he was a disrespectful sack of shit.

"I was just thinking about that tennis match yesterday. Still upset you beat me, I call rematch," she exclaimed, challenging, and it was a good distraction too because his smirk returned and her father was regaling her with lies on how he had always been more skilled than her, and Aaliyah managed to pull out her phone to see Juliet's message.

ERIN BRENNAN
Image

Erin wasn't sure what to think of Beau. On one hand, and one that was undeniably true, he was gorgeous. An absolute gift from the heavens, in a physical sense. On the other hand, it was clear that he was no angel. No, he was no angel, and lately, Erin was beginning to think that he was more like a devil than an angel. She didn't like Aaliyah in the slightest bit, so she didn't hate Beau for cheating on her. In fact, that part was somewhat amusing to her. Here Aaliyah was, the Queen Bee of the universe, being all prim and proper and perfect, living the picture perfect life, and she couldn't even keep her fiance from straying. It would have been sad had Erin been friends with her, but that wasn't the case, and instead, she found that aspect of Beau's involvement to be quite delightful. What made her wary of him though, was that he was messing with Brynn while still dating that bitch. Erin knew Brynn. She knew that her friend was more interested in hookups and fun sex than relationships that would tie her down, but she wondered if this hookup was actually going to tie her down, in more bad ways than good. Like Bryn explained, as she rationalized her choice to not drink yet, Aaliyah was a bitch, and you had to watch your back around her. The fact that Beau was standing right here with them, and not by his fiancee's side, made Erin guess that a storm was coming, and though part of her wanted to be there to see it, she also knew that it was less entertaining with a good friend involved. Brynn was strong and could definitely hold her own, but at the very least, this wasn't her home turf. It was Aaliyah's, and the boy in the middle of the mess was more Aaliyah's than anyone else's too.

"I don't think Beau's wife-to-be would appreciate him ditching her party with a couple of girls," Erin answered Brynn's suggestion, but her eyes fell on Beau with a playful, almost challenging expression. She knew to be wary of him, but encouraging him to fuck up his relationship with Aaliyah more couldn't hurt, could it? "But at the same time, you do only have a few more months to play the bachelor card before you're officially tied down, Mr. Oakman. I'm game. I can get the number for the charter helicopter pilot that Juliet uses to fly out here so we don't have to deal with all of the traffic, if we want to head back to the city. Otherwise, there's about a billion bars around here so you can start getting some drinks in you," she said, adding in a slight elbow to Brynn's side at the last part. "Oh, and I'll let Teegan know too," she continued, upon seeing Teegan's text, that she replied to with, "Brynn and I wanna ditch this ;). Come with us!"

Re: Reservations

Please forgive me for also being MIA, I disappeared for a while because of the piling up of life stuff but I am still here and will try to post soon.

Re: Reservations

Sorry for being a tad MIA, guys. I should be able to post by tomorrow, I think, but don't wait for me if you're ready to post, Chandz :D! Go for it

Re: Reservations

Is it my turn to post? Or should I allow for more to post before doing so? I don't want to step on any toes.

Re: Reservations

I'm sure Beau will get much more hate when people learn he's Brynn's baby daddy. They can make a hated club together. Woo! Go team angst!

Re: Reservations

So much hate for Beau, he's such an ass.

Re: Reservations

@Simple_Imperfections, that's fine.

@Arrow, get better!!

@Everyone, I am so sorry for not being active. My school put me in a really bad situation these last few days. I'm not even sure about a few people in my life at this point. I have not been emotionally available for much of anyone. However, I've been missing my writing venting sessions, but I do apologize for my absence.

Re: Reservations

Hey all! Sorry my post is a bit small but its all I can do amidst my testing and such in the hospital. Don't worry though (if you are), I'll be good soon! Ciao~!

Re: Reservations

Hey everyone! I am so sorry for my lack of posting. School and Work has been picking up. I will respond as soon as I am able. Hopefully that is tomorrow night!

Re: Reservations

I hope everything is okay, Arrow :(. I'm starting my post now, but it may take an hour or two to actually finish and post since I'm multi-tasking.

Re: Reservations

Hey guys. I'm going to try and write a post soon. I have been in the hospital and finally got my computer.

Re: Reservations

Sorry it has taken me a little to post. I'm having some technical difficulties, but think I should have something up by tomorrow.

Re: Reservations

I'll post again soon. My job is opening a new location and some of us have been recruited to help with the process so I'll be there all day. I'll probably post tonight

Working on a post right now.

Re: Reservations

I will post again when I get to an actual computer and not my phone.

Re: Reservations

I will be posting today indefinitely, sorry again for the delay everyone

Re: Reservations

I'm not on spring break yet like a lot of students, so I'm still drowning in homework due tomorrow that I should have started Friday, lol. I plan on trying to post tonight, but it won't be until after midnight, so don't wait for me!

Re: Reservations

Anyone else want to post before I post again... ?

Re: Reservations

Hey, you guys!!

Everyone's characters have been accepted. If you have not already, at least brief one another up on relationships. We can do a relationship sheet, but I wanted to get this first post out since I will be going on a thirteen hour Megabus ride back to Atlanta tonight and will only be able to read from my phone what everyone says and does. With that being said, if people post before I leave, I will try to get something in. But the most you will hear from me after 8:30 are PMs or messages in the OOC.
