He always prided himself on his physical condition but the human body can only take so much punishment. He wasn’t sloshing through it more like lunging through the snow, letting his considerable long legs propel him along the snow. He wouldn’t be able to survive outside, unless he could find shelter and the only shelter was in the monsters house and protecting embrace. He wasn’t sure how much time had pasted but when you’re cold a minute seems like hours. Crossing into the gate, he literally flung himself inside the front door and landed painfully on the cold foyer ground.
Laying there for a few seconds he gasped for air, every breath stabbing into his frozen lungs. “T…time” he stuttered due to the ice that had covered his face, including his eyelashes. His long black hair was covered white in snow, and felt frozen… he honestly thought it was frozen.

"Now where were we.." she said speaking to no one in particular as she sat down on a luxurious black sofa metres away from Lucian. She crossed her legs and yawned waiting for the human to stand otherwise.. she would make him stand painfully. The lights were designed to activate on human movement only as Iris and her friends that rarely visited preferred the sanctuary of darkness but since this was a 'special occassion' she clapped her hands so the lights remained on. Iris lazily leaned her head on the sofa arm. "Well servant no.1.. you going to stand or not?"

"Well servant no.1.. you going to stand or not?" the question almost caused him to groan, but he refused to show this monster his weakness. He was about to stand when he found he couldn’t, it was too painful and his body refused to respond. Growing frustrated he smacked his forehead on the cold floor the initial pain blinding him and allowing him to force his body to right itself. “Sorry madam” With the new light he was able to get a closer look at his new... madam as she preferred. She was beautiful, but beauty was a synonym for cruelty. Her lush red hair was even redder than his silk. Her eyes were cold and harsh, but he had seen those eyes since childhood.

She was so preoccupied with blending in that she didn't notice the vampire coming from below and behind her. The vampire grinned, and loaded a small tranquilizer into his gun. He took aim, and fired, just as she turned to see him. She fell out of the tree, crashing on her back with a thud, out cold. The grin he wore turned into a smile of satisfaction. He had been hunting her for the last 10 years. Such a human would sell for at least 75,000. Maybe even more. His mouth watered at the thought. He blew a small whistle, and his teams assembled to him.
His orders were short and simple. They were to bind her and take her to his car. He would handle it from there.

And so the bidding began. Her price started to rise instantly and rappidly. $10,000. Then $25,000. Then someone in the back yelled out "$100,000!" Damn. Was she worth that much? A price that high was almost compleltely unheard of, with only one or two others selling so high! She didn't think it could go any higher until someone in the middle of the crowd turned everyone's heads. "$250,000!". She blinked. Had she heard correctly? Was someone spending a quarter of a million dollars on her?

"I just got here and you want me to clean up the kitchen and dining room?"
He kept explaining the rules. Your new name will be Swine...
"Hold up. You said my name is going to be Swine? You don't literally mean that, do you? Let's just get one thing straight. My name is Danielle and I will not be called after an animal. Especially one that rolls in the mud or possibly its own filth. And master? I will not call you master. I will call you by your name. You will be lucky to get me to do anything for you at all." she said with her arms crossed.

"If I say stand you will BLOODY STAND!" she yelled. Her face inches away from his face. She continued breathing heavily, full of hatred and anger consuming. I can't kill him.. that would've been a waste of a journey and time.. She paused, closing her eyes for a few minutes trying to be calm again. When she was this angry, there were only two options. Option 1- kill the human and Option 2- drink blood. She fumbled with the blood vials in her pocket, taking one out. No this wouldn't do for her, she might as well remind the human of his place. She dropped the vial, blood spilling onto the floor as she viciously lunged at the new servant, her fangs sinking slowly and painfully into his neck. Not a single drop escaped. When her fangs retracted, she stepped back from her meal and held out her hand to the left side. Servant no. 2 gave her a napkin as she elegantly wiped off the blood from her lips. Judging by the amount of blood she had taken from him, he wouldn't be conscience for long. She cackled looking at him, her eyes glistening almost pleasantly. "Sweet dreams"

He felt himself be lifted by two sets of arms, and mentally cursed. They were weak, he could kill both if he wasnt so messed up. The only thing worse than vampire were human pets. He may be a servant but his hatred, his desire for freedom was always there. Tilting his head to the side he looked at one of the servants. They had been broken, he could see it. He felt a something soft, and moving fast smash into his cheek sending his head flinging in the other direct. He felt blood in his mouth, and would not swallow it. He refused to taste blood like these vile creatures, so instead he let it slip out on one of the servants suits, using the head fling as a act to hide the act of him spitting blood on the servant intentionally. He had no love, no pity for those cowards, and only unbridled hatred for the monster hiding in the form of a girl.
He could see her yelling at him, but the smack had been hard enough to damage his hearing. Her voice sounded like it came from within a long tunnel, how annoying this monster was. He could tell she was angry, but that pitiful expression in her eyes what was that? was that hate, if he had the ability he would laugh. She did not know hatred, she did not truly comprehend the emotion. The soul consuming fire, the blind rage that inflamed and scoured... She Was Ignorant. She had never experienced what it was to live for one emotion, to survive off of the hatred, to hold onto your sanity with the deep soul rendering desire for the death, suffering, and pain of an entire race. The desire to see anguish, the love of it, the revelation that came with the moment of vengeance... the euphoria of seeing the life leave those abominations eyes... She Was Ignorant.
He hid all this rage deep down, as she dropped the blood vial, he closed his eyes knowing what was to come. He wasn't disappointed as he felt her arms encircled him and her fangs puncture his neck. The sharp sting that accompanied the familiar sensation, some humans found it pleasurable, but to Lucian it disgusted him. He felt his consciousness start to wane, seemed the monster was hungry. She pulled back satisfied it seemed, and he heard the words "Sweet Dreams" and as he fell into darkness he was unsure if he thought it or spoke it but out came "I hope to see you in them, my purpose"

"I'll pay 500,000 for her..."
The vampires around him turned their heads in surprise. Everyone knew that those... unused slaves were costly, but this man had overdone it, even for the standards of them. Little did they know that he would get to pay nothing, she was already his. The auctioneer used the break to call of the current auction and sell this one to his boss. She would have feel herself dragged towards an area behind the stage. The vampire inspected her, walking around her with slow steps. He didn't want to step closer, he could smell this disgusting odor of the humans from here, see every ugly detail. After a few moments that she had to stand there in the cold, he walked away, leaving a few words to the vampire servant waiting at the entrance.
"Wrap her up a little, give her some clothes, than drive her to my nephew's mansion. Oh and choose something simply and modest."
The servant nodded and left with his master for a moment, returning a moment later with a cheap black dress in his hand. He opened the chains, that bound her arms together tightly. Without bothering further for the way she might feel, he changed her to a set of fresh clothes and pulled the black dress over her. There wasn't much she could do about it, other than freezing in the cold. After she had changed, she would feel herself lifted in the air and get carried somewhere. None bothered to put her chains back on, she wouldn't stand a chance against any vampire. After a short time, she was thrown into a car, the windows were darkened as to prevent the sunlight from entering. A second later the motor started to roar, as the car drove her away from the market. The servant was silent as ever, not saying a word.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few minutes later...
Lucas watched from inside the black-colored windows as the car pulled in the driveway. The massive gates closed behind, as if to seal the fate of the person sitting on the backseat of the car. The driver hadn't bothered to remove the blindfold, but would care less if she did so. The vast area behind the walls, that would proof no difficulty to a vampire, but certainly for a human, was covered by open plains and forest, a lake was shining in the pale moonlight. The impenetrable darkness of the windows had something captivating, mysterious to them. By the time the car had halted, Lucas had turned away from the window, emptying the silver cup he was holding with one motions. The blood calmed him down a little, his thoughts were still running wildly, but at least he kept his body under an uncertain control. He placed the cup at a random table, as he waited for his new servant to enter the mansion...

"You are at the Grayfold Mansion, your new home. From now on you belong to the young Master Grayfold."
Without further explanations, he dragged her along. They slowly walked up the stairs, towards the large house on the soft hill. It may would have looked peacefully, wouldn't it be for the pale moonlight giving the old building a ghostly gleaming. As they finally reached the last step, they would be able to see the whole, huge areal that belongs to the house. Well, at least if you could see that far in the night, there was only the seeming never ending darkness beneath the hill. The vampire servant stepped in front of the door and raised his hand to knock at the door. It seemed as old as the rest of the building, there was no bell visible. Just before the servant was able to hit the door with his fist, it opened itself inwardly. The large hall that started directly behind the entrance appeared even darker than the sky outside, even if there would be no moon. Not a single light could be seen anywhere in the whole house. The servant looked inside, as if it wait for further orders, hiding any emotions he might feel. Even some vampires, particularly those that knew about him feared Lucas. Not because of his power, but none knew for sure to what deeds his waywardness would lead him, vampires always preferred to deal with predictable people. A whisper that sounded cold and hoarse filled the hall and escaped the door, barely reaching your ears.
"Bring her inside..."
Without hesitation the servant would drag her inside the hall. Surprisingly even he seemed somehow... worried, his eyes looking around in the dark. Vampires had no problem to see here, but still it seemed like he couldn't trace the source of this words. Slowly he calmed himself down, he was used to his own master hiding whenever he could, but Lucas was far more dangerous at some times. He spoke into the dark, seemingly to the slight shadows the light of the moon illuminated into the room.
"Master Grayfold, I bring you this gift from your uncle. He had asked me to remind you that you shouldn't..."
His voice was cut short, there was obviously something that had disrupted his cool a little, only for a moment. A growl sounded from the back of the hall, followed by a hushing sound as it moved away. It appeared that he man had caught himself again, wishing to continue his speak. As he opened the mouth, the same voice as before could be heard, the source of it was still not easy to find as the large hall threw it back from the ceiling and walls.
"Thank you, Tommy. You might leave now... oh, please close the door, we don't want anything coming in, don't we? Don't forget to thank my uncle in my name."
It was obvious that he wasn't so thankful for this present, he made no attempt to hide it. The name that he called the servant wasn't the real one either, but whenever the servant escorted his master to the visit, he was called differently. It was an odd habit, but well, he was the boss here. The servant just left the young woman to her own fate, quickly moving out of the main door, closing it behind him. As soon as the door was closed, the whole hall was now covered by the pure darkness, that seemed to preserve in the whole house at the moment. The little human wouldn't be able to see her own hand, even if she would hit her own face with it. There was another sound filling the room, as if nails would scratch along wood and stone.
"So this little human is uncle William's present... what might be her name?... wait, would it be more adequate to tell her mine before... I don't know, they all seemed to know me before...Maybe I don't have to ... she could have learned it from Tommy..."
While the voice still filled the entire room with whispers, each sentence appeared to come from another direction, always coming closers. The tone and manner of speak appeared to change just as often, from slight confused to thoughtfully spoken. Rarely there was even the hint of a shadow moving through the hall, but how could a human differ it from nightmares? She couldn't escape as easy from the inside, the door was shut, for her own safety. The clicking sound of the nails appeared to come from above her for a second, though she still wouldn't be able to see. Suddenly she could hear light steps falling to the floor behind her, the clicking of the claws on the marble floor changed to that of normal footsteps. She could hear the voice directly close to left ear, as if the inhabitant of this darkness, was standing right behind her.
"Do you know, who I am, mortal?"

"I...I don't know you, but I know of you. Your name is Greyfold right? Or am I to refer to you solely as 'Master'?" Emily hadn't said this last part sarcasticaly, as she knew his reputation for instability, which only made her more uncomfortable. She checked the scabbard on her right thigh, ensuring that the servant hadn't taken it. When her hand touched Rhinestone's cold steel, she felt oddly reassured, as though it's blade could cut anything if it needed to. "Why did you pay half of a million dollars (I assume thats the currency) for me? How was I any different?" Somewhere in the back of her mind, Emily wondered if she was starting to get on this vampires nerves. If this really was Greyfold, and he was the 4th generation, ticking him off would be synonomous with committing suicide. Emily hoped with all of her heart that this vampire didn't know her secret.

Iris' servants were numbered by how long they had stayed at the mansion. Of course this was inconvenient for them having to be used to a number and then become familiar with a new one. But that was how she liked it and servants had no choice in the matter.
They were also all male as her past experience with female humans was a nightmare. Complaining here and there and more blah blah blah. She found them to be too emotionally unstable and therefore a pain and a nuisance. All of them were killed.
Current servant no. 2 is named Basto, a 30 yrs old man who should have rightly inherited the mansion but feared for his life and thus, follows orders like any other servant. She has never drank his blood as his uncle's whom she killed in order to claim the estate, had blood that was rather awkward tasting. She does not wish to repeat that. Why does she keep him alive? Might as well.. he's a free servant. The more the merrier.
Current servant no. 3 is named Rick, a 24 yrs old skilled mechanic. Because of his expertise, Iris assigned him and only him to be driver.
Her current favourite servant is Servant no. 7 named Nathaniel Lark who is only treated better than other servants as she favours his blood. This is a disadvantage as he has his blood drained more often than others. However it is also an advantage to be her favourite servant.
The more she craves your blood. The more she needs you.. And so, it is less likely that she will kill or harm you in any way.
"Have him clothed in the new attire and throw out his old one, patch up the bite and then place him in room 45" Iris ordered. "Yes Ma'am" both servants answered in unison. Servant no.2 and 3 carried Lucian to room 45 and followed all orders. When the new servant was to wakeup..he would find himself in an unfamiliar room, wearing unfamiliar clothes...and an unfamiliar person waiting to talk with him... Servant no.7

The next thing she remembered was seeing the vampire dead in front of her, the knife clutched in her hand. Had she used the knife? Or had the wounds her father inflicted been more powerful than she thought? Emily had left the house behind that day, keeping the knife and scabbard. It had been 18 long years, but she could never forget her mother's screams of terror, or her fathers lifeless corpse. And that vampire's eyes. They had been blood-red, they were the kind of eyes that dug into your mind. She shuddered at the thought. And now she was in the prescence of another vampire. she hoped in her heart that his eyes were not red with hunger as well.

Once he'd changed out of his tattered pants and into his new clothing, James glanced at the clock on the small desk in his room. 12:45. Might as well get some of his work done before lunch. A shudder ran up his spine as he realized that his master's lunch would probably consist of his own blood. Shoving that thought away for the moment, he decided to get started cleaning the house now. He probably wouldn't finish, but he could at least get started. It took a few tries, but he was finally able to find a broom closet and arm himself with the cleaning supplies he'd need for the job.
An hour later, he'd finished three rooms and had started a fourth when something caused him to stop. Music. Through all the suffocating silence, there was music in the air. A violin, from the sound of it. Curiousity winning him over, James got up from the floor he was scrubbing and followed after the sound, his job forgotten. The music eventually led him to a desk at the back of the library, of all places. It took some doing, but James was able to find the door hidden behind the desk, carefully easing it open and creeping up the staircase. It soon led him to the source of the sound: his new master, playing her violin like a professional musician. The human had never been one for classical music, but even he had to admit that she was good. The little vampire didn't seem to notice that he'd found her sanctuary. That is, until the human accidentally knocked over one of the music stands as he tried to get closer. James froze, unable to do anything but stare at Chibi with a deer-in-headlights expression. 'Crap...'

"Pch..." It was a low sound that came from his throat as he smirked his evil grin. "Swine, you had disobeyed my rules." He said, walking closer to her. He grabbed her wrist and arm and started at her shoulder. "You smell good... I wonder if you taste even better." He said almost laughing. He lightly touched her shoulder with his tongue before raising up and lowering down to her wrist.
"I haven't aten yet only once today. I was going to save you for later, but if your going to keep talking to me like that, why don't I finish you off and order you a new human, one that dosen't have an attitude like a swine." He said chuckling, tightening his grip onto her wrist.

"Mh... Am I?... Yes, I guess that is my name... But why did she ask me before?... she has to be impolite to not tell her name before... Maybe I should have asked her before... No, no, it was right this way... should I ask her now?... What might be her name?"
As the vampire seemed to think aloud, he continued to circle her. The words sounded a little hushed, but were still like whispers. Would there be just another sound within this hall, the words wouldn't even reach her ear. As she asked her second question, of why he would pay that much money for her, the steps halted again, directly to her right. The steps still echoed slightly through the room, but as he was close, it was much easier to locate his position now. She could her the steps now moving directly towards her, one, two, than there was silence again. Suddenly she could feel something piercing her neck slightly, drawing a thin cut on the side. It felt sharp, but there was no teeth, so it had to be a weapon, or a sharp set of nails. After just the blink of an eye the feeling stopped, a single drop of blood started to trail down to her shoulder. It was caught in its movement by the cold skin of a finger, following the line back to the cut, as if to collect every single part of this single drop. Soon the hand retreated from her skin, a sigh followed by swallowing sound could be heard close to her.
"Mh... not that bad... no, finally a bit more... fresh... My uncle, yes he bought you... he... you weren't as costly for him... not as costly as you think. He has his reasons... for you, don't know. Maybe you were just the least disgusting?"
Lucas remained still where he stood as he seemed to memorize the taste of her blood. The voice was different this time, seemingly stronger, trying to struggle for control. His eyes, while hidden in the shadows, seemed to pierce the area around the cut. Wouldn't he had his blood recently, she would already be dead. Well, still his thirst for the blood, especially this fresh would never cease. The sound of the pulsing blood that came from her veins as it worked to stop the the small cut, it was captivating. After a while he continued to speak, it sounded nearly normal now, though it remained just as cold.
"Master... Yes that will do it for now... How may I call you?... While you think about it, let me tour you through the house... Wait, you can't see right now, can't you?... Poor little human...Well you would be of no use for me like that..."
With a hushing sound, the presence of the vampire seemed to move away. A second later, small lights from around the four massive columns that filled the corners of the room, provided shadowy illumination on the walls. A large chandelier in the middle seemed to burst in a flash, covering the whole room in a warm, golden light. Lucas had turned away for the time as he pressed the switch. He didn't need the light to see, like those unworthy humans, in fact he saw much better in the darkness. As his eyes had adjusted to the illumination, he returned to his new plaything. He wore a elegant red and black jacket and fitting black pants. Obviously he didn't wear any shoes to cover his feet, but they appeared to be clean nonetheless. His white hair was loose as every and his blue eyes piercing his servant with a stare. Standing in front of her, he offered her his hand.
"Come, I will show you around... I know you will get to like it. It's not like you would have any choice about that anyways..."

He sat up in the bed, happy to have feeling in his body once again. His black hair spilled over his shoulders, hanging freely. Looking down he examined his new attire. It was rather dull, but going by his new madams clothing sense it made sense. She was not the most… fashionable of ladies, but that was fine as well, meant he had less to do and did not have to learn useless knowledge such as fashion.
Moving, he stood up shakily. It was strange to feel life in him again, after the cold had sapped it. He did not feel the blood loss too strongly as he was quite used to it; unlike many his body had adapted to the strenuous life of having his blood sucked and it increased his body’s blood production rate. One of his previous masters had once said he regained his blood on an average of three times the normal rate making him a walking blood bank, and he dearly hoped that the new madam did not find this out she seemed obsessed with blood.

Finishing the first floor didn't take nearly as long as he would have expected, although channeling his frustration into his chores may have helped a bit. Realizing it would make more sense to get everything on the ground level done before he got to work upstairs, James slipped on his outside shoes and headed out to the garden. He'd just gotten to work weeding one of the multiple flower beds when, once again, a sound caught his attention. Grinding his teeth together, James tried his best to ignore it, recalling just how well things had panned out the last time he'd followed strange noises to their source. He did pause, however, when he realized what exactly he was hearing: crying. It sounded like a kid throwing a tantrum out in the woods somewhere. And James could only think of one kid it could possibly be.
Common sense told him that his master's unhappiness was none of his concern, that he should ignore it and go right back to work to avoid any further problems. Unfortunately, his conscience wouldn't let him sit by and listen to a little girl cry when he knew he was to blame for it. Sighing heavily and cursing every god or goddess he could possibly think of, James lifted himself out of the dirt and headed toward the sound. Before long, he found what he was looking for. That didn't make the sight any less surprising, though. Chibi sat huddled at the base of a tree, sobbing loudly into her knees. Despite knowing full well what she was, the sight was almost heartbreaking for Jonah to see. She looked so upset, so... human. He crept forward until he was a few feet in front of her, then stopped. "Uh, Chibi?" he spoke up carefully, not wanting to startle her like last time. "Are you alright?"

"Please don't. I'll do it." she said quietly.
Her voice was shaky. She didn't realize how much was afraid of being bit until it was close to happening to her.
"Which rooms did you want cleaned?" she asked.
She had forgotten which rooms he told her to clean. She became distracted from her thoughts when she noticed his bright red eyes. The way he spoke scared the crap out of her, but he was beautiful enough to make a part of her want to stay. She thought she was crazy, but after she considered her options, she realized she could either run away from this house and get killed by another vampire or deal with this one. She looked down at the ground.
"Just tell me what you want me to do and I'll do it." she said quietly, almost as a whisper.
