Irgol Vuji sits down heavely in his command chair. It was not the same as the one in his war ship, it was however home. Every day it seemed his ship was falling apart a little more. His crew were great, but all getting old at this point, maybe it would have been better if the Reapers had destroyed them all though years ago. As he sat there he heard his com officer yell out "Sir, reports of a fleet of ships coming through the relay." With that he was wide awake again, if the relays were working maybe they could get home...if there was a home to get back to. "Helm plot a course to bring us in scanner range of that fleet, we need to see who they are. If we are lucky they might be able to tell us about the relay."
"Yes i-" Roran was interuppted by the alarms and Neeha Waving him off. "Keelah se'lai" Roran said to her as she gathered her squad.
Roran reported to the Portside Airlock. As the ship docked, he could hear the Kirrahe Engines and the Shackle of the Tungstan rounds in the cannons. He walked over to Neeha. "Its a Salarian minor Battle Cruiser..." He said to her while putting his rifle on his shoulder. "If its hostile we'll have a few hundred Salarian Commando units to deal with."
Roran reported to the Portside Airlock. As the ship docked, he could hear the Kirrahe Engines and the Shackle of the Tungstan rounds in the cannons. He walked over to Neeha. "Its a Salarian minor Battle Cruiser..." He said to her while putting his rifle on his shoulder. "If its hostile we'll have a few hundred Salarian Commando units to deal with."
The PA sounded the ready stations,
Finally some action although because it is one ship heading on an entire fleet it would have to either surrender or flee, or just fight and die but that was unlikely. Nonetheless it was still some thing to keep Jacoopi busy. Sadly all his gear was in his ship which was docked in the hangar bay. But while he had been talking to the commander Othesat had wandered off and was now out of sight. Jacoopi scanned the room looking for her.
"Damn, where did she go?"
He wanted to get a piece of the action but did not want to leave her all alone on the ship.
Finally some action although because it is one ship heading on an entire fleet it would have to either surrender or flee, or just fight and die but that was unlikely. Nonetheless it was still some thing to keep Jacoopi busy. Sadly all his gear was in his ship which was docked in the hangar bay. But while he had been talking to the commander Othesat had wandered off and was now out of sight. Jacoopi scanned the room looking for her.
"Damn, where did she go?"
He wanted to get a piece of the action but did not want to leave her all alone on the ship.
Noticing the ships in front of them, he calls out "ALL STOP!" Thinking to himself what are they doing. My little cargo ship can't do anything to them...and with what 30 people on bored we could never hurt them. Looking over to the coms he calls out "Get them on the com, we have lived this long we are not going to be blown up now!!" When his com officer nods telling him that a chanle is open he stands up and fixes his uniform. "This is Captain Irgol Vuji, formerly of the Salarin fleet. We are a trade ship, looking to trade goods and information. Our ship is old and only has minimal weapons, we mean you no harm please stand down." He stands waiting a response.
"It depends. Im good in a variety of locations. There wouldnt happen to be any Element Zero Drive cores around here would there be?" Roran whispered back at her "I can calculate anything though. So if you ever need me else where...." Roran said as he looked at Neeha
"Good to see a friendly face Captain. We are ok at the moment, we were hopping to see if we couldn't work out some kind of trade. We have lots to offer, and by the look of your ships you might be in need of a resupply. We have information about what to get where and who is friendly and who is not." Irgol nods telling the helm to take them to the coordinates.
As the ship docks most of the techs, mechanics and medical staff leave. Only Commander Elana Selani, Chief Neeha'Shiro, Dr. Valova, Roran, Gemli, and Val remain by the airlock.
Over the Com to Irgol, "I will have my first officer along with a medical team greet you. Sorry standard procedure to check anyone coming onboard. And if you don't mind some of my mechanics would like to take a look at your ship."
Neeha still whispering, "If allowed, you want to join me on the inbound ship?"
Over the com, "All fighters stay alert, long range scans picking up a lot of unknown contacts in FTL. Will keep you advised."
Over the Com to Irgol, "I will have my first officer along with a medical team greet you. Sorry standard procedure to check anyone coming onboard. And if you don't mind some of my mechanics would like to take a look at your ship."

"Of Course. I'd never miss a chance to study another ship." Roran whispered back to Neeha "I might be able to decipher those FTL readings as well. Identify what types of ships they are"
The Krogan nodded and followed, eager for a good fight if they decided to choose the unwise action of being their enemy. As they moved, Blake Harrows came into play. He joined up with the Commander and the others, still a little sore. Gemli was a bit impressed. "I was under the impression you might be too sore to move for a little longer after that sparring session".
"Luckily for me, I anticipated the pain. That said, we are going to have to work on your definition of sparring later" Blake told him, before catching up so he was walking alongside the Commander. "Ready for work, ma'am. That said, we need to talk, either now or later. I made a breakthrough on the Blackfile".
The Blackfile as he called it was his father's datadrive, encrypted so heavily even someone who knew him in great detail would take time in decrypting it. The thing had layers upon layers of encryption, and it required multiple keys in the right order to get through. His father had shared everything he knew about encryption with Blake, including a number of advanced encryption algorythms that sometimes took him days to explain it all in detail.
And this was the first breakthough Blake had gotten so far. Each part of the file used different encryption algorythms and keys, so one solution would not work again.

For now he calmed himself and flew in formation with the other pilots. He eyed the neutral ship on first glance it seemed that the ship was in really poor condition, but on closer examination it was not severely damaged anywhere in particular. The only external problems he could see was dents in the hull along with some of the paint chipping. He returned to himself and wondered how he could deal with the problem with Othesat, he just could not think of a good way to help him and her.

CDR Elana looked at Blake, speaking softly and some what quietly to him well maintaining her calm professional opperince, "Look kid, your cute, smart and its important. But lets talk about this after we deal with our new guest." at the Krogan, "And Urdnot, be nice to the kid, or me and you will have to spare."
Over the com to all fighters, "Contacts have stopped just out of system. All fighters stay on full alert incase they enter." To Jacoopi and his squad, "Form up on the inbound neutral ship. Protect it, at less till we can deal with it."

"Well Captain for the moment I do not see a need for any of my people enter your ship, we are quite old at this point. Unless trade needs change that. You are more then welcome to send some of your people onto our ship." He talks to his shipmates with the comms muted for a moment. "Alright we are all docked we will have the cargo bay ready for your crew to check out whenever you are ready."

Chief Neeha to Roran, "Lets go take a look at what they have. Who knows what toys they have just laying around." then procceded to board the Salarian ship.
Commander Elana to Blake, "Hey kid lets check out our new friends here first then I will help you with our other project." gave the kid a quick smile, she had grown to like having him around. She unofficially adopted him even if he didn't know it. Turning to Val and Gemli, "You two, come with me. I have a feeling this is going to get interesting." With that she walked onto the other ship.

As Othesat's shuttle leaves, the six Turian Frigates moved to the front of the fleet to form a defensive wall aided by all non-gunship squads. As this happened the Quarian Cruisers fell back behind the dreadnaught and other cruisers. The two Alamo and Geneva Class Frigates moved to cover the rear, while the Berlin Class Cruiser along with the Turian Cruiser move to cover the flanks. With the Turians on the starboard and the Berlin on the port.

As Roran Followed her onto the ship, he looked around "Reminds me of The Neema during the war..." There was much similarities.The walls were falling apart, the crew was in, some what decent condition. "Maybe they need more help then we think..."
"Hey, he is the one that asked" Gemli mentioned. And while it was true that Blake had asked him, Gemli did have another reason. Blake was no expert on psychology, but he was a Krogan and he knew bloodrage. And Blake was raging on the inside. Did Gemli go tough on him? Yes, but other Krogan might go further if they did not reject him. Gemli would make it hard enough for Blake so he did not go looking elsewhere, but would also hold enough back to keep the kid from getting any serious injuries.
The Asari's challange though interested him. "You know that isn't exactly something I wouldn't mind" he mentioned with a smile.
Blake nodded at the Commander's words, and began to work on his Omni Tool. "Alright. Hold on though, let me set up a comm line though. And here..." Blake then deployed a drone. "In case there is hostiles aboard, I can try and hack into any needed systems from here so long as the drone stays alive, so you can focus on other things should it come to that. And please, be safe".
The last part of what he said held a different message though. Please don't make me lose anyone else...

Jacoopi pulled his ship in to formation with his wing to defend the neutral ship. The fact that the other ships stopped outside the system meant either: They were scared and are turning around or they were preparing for what is to come. His ship was not correctly outfitted with a defensive load-out and only had the standard dual Mass accelerator gun, a single torpedo, and a 12-round PKR pod. (Precision Kill Rocket, AKA the same rocket type that shot Garrus in the face in ME2.) By this point in time all outside concerns were gone and his feelings faded from everywhere but his legs. He could feel the machine in him and it felt so unnatural, he could get more natural implants but sadly he could not afford any better ones.
Going down to the cargo hold, he helps direct his crew setting up their booths. he gets around and sits at his chair watching over the whole bay. He stands concerned about the ships on their way here. However they were never more safe then they were with this whole fleet around them. Looking over what they had to offer here, he hoped they would make enough to fix this ship, also information on the relay is it working...can they go home and see their families before they die....
He shakes his head and focuses on what is going on here and now. "Now we wait for our new friends to show up and trade us what we need"

The commander looked at Blake, "Sorry kid but you coming with. And don't worry, I'll have the lieutenant look after you. As for me, I'll be fine. Just an other routine mission. Now come we got work to do." Looking at Gemli and Val, "Lieutenant, I want you glued to the kid, he doesn't make a move without you knowing about it. now everyone on to the ship. The quicker we get this done the better." Without waiting she finishes boarding the trade ship.

Once the fighting really gets going, I want you to provide close support to what every ship your near. It seems they managed to situate themselves in mechanical positions better then most other creatures during battle. Im sure the only reason the Geth didnt wipe us out when we tried to take back Rannoch, is because there were Quarians like you who actualy understood the diagnostics of an element Zero engine, and knew how to Keep a constant flow and prevent overloads." Roran said as he finished and looked back at her "I have a feeling i just sounded like an Incredible loser..."
"Wh....okay, I am in" Blake said, surprised. This would be his first mission or op or whatever, and he was a bit excited. Still. He could not let it show. He went by the Asari. "I guess we are a team them".
He looked at the ship scans. "Okay, so, if we can avoid using my last name while on the ship, that would be good. Because these are Salarians, which means a good chance of STG. The more information we give them, the more tehy can use it against us, either in a fight, or bargaining with us. Especially if they want information".
Gemli smiled. "Got it Commander. And hey, if they try and take information, I can extract what I can from their brains". He laughed a little at that point. "Dont worry, I wont smash any skulls in. Not without being provoked anyways".

Looks like they're leading about 50 boarding craft. That ship your on is to vanrable get it out of her and to the rearguad. Im sending our gunships to escort you. Activating emergency override to unhook you from the Bailey. Once their safe get back here on the double. Over and out." With that the Salarin ship unhooks and is genteelly pushed off. Elana runs up to the Irgol, "Captain move us to these coordinates and dock with the frigate. That way we can off load our people then we can get you and you crew out of here."

We need to get to Irgol, or this ship will become toast!" He said as he looked up towards the bridge "I hope we can make it in time."
"Roger." Jacoopi responded to the alert by reaching behind his seat with his left hand and grabbing his helmet then put it on. He flexed his neck just to make sure it fit him well. His ship was to the left of the shuttle which was in between the attackers and the shuttle.
"Everyone on my wing, keep the shuttle alive, that is primary." Jacoopi turned his ship about 85 degrees to the left to face the approaching hostile fighters. As they came within firing range he multi-locked on to 4 different targets and fired 4 anti-fighter PKR rounds. He himself was locked on to by another enemy ship, to evade the missile he boosted his ship upward and to left while deploying his normal countermeasures along with some brand new ECMs. (Electronic Countermeasures.) Before he forgot he set his dual mass accelerator to be controlled by his ships VI and automatically engage targets. He hoped the countermeasures would also protect the shuttle and also the neutral ship from any incoming missiles.

"So" Blake mentioned as he turned towards Val, and employed his kinetic barriers. "Anyone else think this might be one big trap? Mysterious ship to lure us in combined with a sudden enemy appearance?"
"Nah, I just think its our luck" Gemli mentioned. "Everyone knows the goodguys always have the worst of luck".
Blake wondered if he had a red cape hidden somewhere.
