Introduction
Renovia a land of peace and prosperity... or it was. Now the evil darkrai has risen to power commanding an army of evil pokepeople. You play a pokeperson living in Claris Town. Claris Town is little more than a village in the middle of nowhere. Everything seems pleasant and although there have been rumours of an evil uprising little attention has been paid to it. The story starts the day before an attack on the town giving time to get to know the other characters.
Everyone will have powers based on the pokemon you're character is based off of i.e if you are pikachu like in the picture above you'll be able to control electricity. Grass pokepeople can control plants, rock controls the earth and so on. Only one type of pokemon each as in we can't have two goldeens. The world is pretty much like the world of pokemon same scenery, pokemarts and pokecentres etc. There are no trainers, pokeballs that sort of thing however.

"Hey you try and hold a two minute conversation with her and see if you don't end up punching her in the face," Riolu snapped. Honour and codes were all very well but Riolu didn't care about any of that. Besides anger was a powerful emotion, Primeape was an idiot if he thought anger was pointless. They carried Xatu back to the dojo, Riolu's uncles were no where to be seen.
"Here lie him down on the matress." Riolu quickly ran to the tap and wetted a towel before running back and applying it to Xatu's forehead.
"Something's up. And I think Xatu is the one with the answers. My aura is going crazy with bad energy." It was like an itch that started at the back of his neck and as time went by it was spreading all across Riolu's body. The only problem was he had no idea what was causing it.

The setting changes from Claris Town to Renovia
Kira smiled a little as Haunter gave his reply. "Its ok..." she said with a face that said she honestly didn't like the town much. "Knowing there is a ghost pokemon here though, makes it better!" She said rather cheerfully while giving a large smile. As the twins left, Kira said her goodbyes to them and waved, almost considering fallowing them and taking up there offer for pie. She had tried it once before, and honestly it was the most amazing thing she had ever tried! She loved it! But, she decided to stay and try to think of something else to ask Haunter.
Luxray
"I would ask you if you needed help, but you're like me,” Peony whispered to him. [b] I hate when my brothers dote on me...” She flashed Luxray a wink (which caused him to turn quite red) before turning to her brothers. "If you two wanna eavesdrop, make sure that the other party can't tell." He had to let out a laugh at that. He had to admit, she reminded him of himself... in a way.
He tested his ankle again. The girl’s work on it had started its effect, and he felt he could start walking. Boy, was he wrong. He almost fell flat on his face. Luxray turned red again. “To hell with this...” he trailed off as he used his hands to hoist himself onto a low tree branch, his tail lashing about irritably.
Haunter
The girl had said the town was okay, but this puzzled Haunter, for her facial expressions clearly said otherwise. The thing that surprised him the most though was what she said next. "Knowing there is a ghost pokemon here though, makes it better!" The cheerfullness in her voice caused Haunter to tilt his head to one side in curiousity. “If I may ask,” he began, genuinely interested. “Why are you so interested in ghost types?”

As he let Xatu down on the mattress, Abner chuckled and said, "Oh, trust me! I have my moments when I let anger control me! You've never seen me deal with a machop with an ego before I entered the arena to fight him! He was loads worse than what you see with her! It was too late at night for you to spectate that!"
Abner brought out his medical equipment in case it was needed, though he doubted it, since the harm was to Xatu's brain than on the rest of his body. He had to admit, though: Xatu was tough for a shaman his age. Had he been in the arena against other psychics, that man would have been the champion, no doubt about it. Then again, Abner was tough for a fighter his age, so he could relate somewhat.

Peony merely snapped a good sized branch off the tree and taking her sword against it to get all the little annoying ones off. She threw it against Luxray's branch, by his arm and yawned. "Just accept my help this once, kay? I'll keep it a secret..." she fluttered her wings, the bells jingling before she jumped back into the tree. She hummed softly as she began snacking on the berries in the trees. They were nice and sweet and oh so yummy to the near starving Flying type. She eat her fill before leaning against the tree trunk.
Azucena and Giglio were in awe at the house. It was nothing like the two mountain living birds had ever seen. Azucena looked at the little guy and ruffled his hair. "I'd love some water and Giglio likes juice." he told them before sitting at a chair. Giglio did the same and looked at his brother.
"Thanks... These kids... Think they'll let us crash here?"
"Doubt it, little bro. Besides the forest has been kind to us..."

When they saw the two, Riolu and Kirlia, Zubat just chimed "Hi!" but she was pretty much ignored. She thought it was funny when he levitated both of them off the ground. Then it seemed he was going to leave. "Ms Zubat if you could can you please excuse me ,maybe we can talk in a few minutes?" "Eh? Why? You forgot something?" Zubat asked. Then some woman came at approached the two. She smiled and said hello to Xatu, and introduced herself to Zubat. “Hi I’m Goldeen, pleased to meet your acquaintance, Miss Zubat.” "Hi." Zubat chimed again, this time being noticed.
Then Xatu passed out. Zubat rushed over and looked over him to see what had happend. "I don't think so." One of the two people they had just met said, "You're going to go to the pokemart and get a revive from your mother. Zubat, Goldeen please go with her and make sure she does it." "Fine," Zubat said, "I don't got much to do anyway, so what the heck..." Zubat just followed Kirlia and Goldeen from behind.

"Ah hello madam Goldeen can we talk at another time I have a lot of things going on at the moment.” Said Xatu as he acknowledged Goldeen.
“Oh that’s quite alright.” Goldeen said with a smile as she nodded her head.
Just then Goldeen observed Xatu turn and hold his head. He seemed to be concentrating or either in pain, as if he had a headache. She couldn’t quite tell. However, she was worried. She glanced over at the Zubat with a face of great concern and then looked back to Xatu .
“Uh, Mr. Xatu, are you okay? You don’t look too well.” Goldeen asked hesitantly.
She saw Kirlia and Riou Drop to the ground suddenly. At the same moment Xatu collapsed!
“Oh dear, Mr. Xatu!!! Are you alright?! Goldeen kneeled down quickly to attempt to comfort the incapacitated poke-person.
“Someone call for help please!” Goldeen cried out.
Kirlia approached and Greeted Goldeen. "Hey Goldeen, I'm free to hang out now," she smiled. She didn’t seem to notice the unconscious Xatu.
“oh my, Kirlia! There you are! Mr. Xatu needs help!” Goldeen addressed Kirlia.
“"I don't think so. You're going to go to the pokemart and get a revive from your mother. Zubat, Goldeen please go with her and make sure she does it.” Riolu spoke to the group.
"Come on Goldeen guess we're hanging out today after all." Kirlia said.
“Yes, we shall indeed go then.” Goldeen replied as she nodded to Zubat as well.
The three headed out toward the pokemon mart as swiftly as they could. She was glad to see her friend for she honestly thought she would be hanging about on her own today. However, Goldeen wondered what was the cause of Xatu’s collapse. Goldeen lived in just outside of Claris Town and came into town for frequent visits but she still wasn’t familiar with all of the town’s people, so meeting Zubat today was indeed a plus.
As Zubat, Kirlia, and Goldeen sped off to the Poke mart, Goldeen turned to Kirlia and smiled, “Oh (pant…pant) where are my manners! How are you my dear friend? So much has happened this morning it seems. It most certainly can’t be called an uneventful day huh. “Goldeen asked with a giggle as the three ran.

"Yeah eventful seems an appropriate choice of words," Kirlia sighed. "Its been pretty hectic. First off I had to travel alfway up a mountain to go see Xatu for a lesson then he has some weird vision about something or other and then he says he doesn't have time to teach me. Plus then he got all stressy because I wouldn't teleport the two of us back to town. Then I ran into that stupid Riolu kid and now this. My hair can't take all this stress." Kirlia ran her hands worridly through her green locks.
The automatic doors of the pokemart slid smoothly apart and the three girls stepped inside. It was cool and air conditioned inside which was a nice change to the humidity outside.
"Ooo!" Kirlia squealed. "They have the latest edition of pokezine." Kirlia excitedly skimmed through the pages competely forgetting the task at hand.
"That Charizard is so hot!" she giggled.
Riolu
"Where the hell are they?" Riolu muttered. Abner took out his medical kit, Riolu nodded. It wouldn't help but at least Abner used his common sense.
"So what's the toughest fight you've ever been in?" Riolu asked. He'd never fought in the arena not because he was afraid of getting beaten but because he was afraid people would mock his poor fighting skills. Riolu was actually a good fighter but he didn't have too much confidence in himself especially after the exploding bush fiasco.
Plusle & Minun
"Juice and water it is then," Minun grinned. He zipped around the kitchen grabbing glasses filling one up at the tap before zooming to the fridge and pouring out some oran juice.
"Here you go!" Minun said with a smile. Minun loved to be helpful and he liked to do it as fast as possible. If it wasn't for Plusle to slow him down Minun probably would have died from exhaustion ages ago. Plusle started to prepare the base of the pie humming as she did so.
"So what are you guys doing here?" asked Minun curiously. The twins knew the brothers and Peo were here to protect the townsfolk. They had mentioned it earlier in conversation but the twins had no idea what they needed protection against.

She looked over to Kirlia who ran her hair through her green hair. Nothing seemed to phase her for long, Goldeen liked Kirlia’s carefree nature. It was relaxing to be around for her. Goldeen then giggled a bit more. The three girls entered the Pokemart and Goldeen felt very relieved to be out of the hot sun and into the air conditioning. She wasn’t as swift on land as she was in the water, so keeping up with the group on foot was tiring for her. Perhaps had she converted back to her mermaid tail she could have levitated and kept up with less effort.
Goldeen watched as Kirlia marveled over the latest pokezine. “Has she forgotten about Xatu and his need for a Revive that swiftly?” Goldeen thought to herself. She smiled, and decided not to bother her friend as she read.
Goldeen turned to Zubat with a smile, “So I assume you are a friend of Mr. Xatu’s? It’s very kind of you to accompany us all this way.” Goldeen said as she searched the aisle for Revive. After locating it and picking up a bottle of water, she took it to the counter and made the purchase. Goldeen usually drank a lot of water. Staying hydrated was key for a water poke-person out of water.
She looked over to Kirlia who ran her hair through her green hair. Nothing seemed to phase her for long, Goldeen liked Kirlia’s carefree nature. It was relaxing to be around for her. "The toughest fight..." Primeape had to put some thought into it. "I'd say my toughest battle was against a Blaziken for the championship, last week. With one of those, the stronger and tougher the opponenet, the more intense the flames on the arms and feet are. That in of itself was a challenge for me." He shuddered a little at what he said next. "As if that were not enough, a Blaziken has the advantage in kicking and leaping capability during seemingly any battle. Their legs and feet are powerful enough to knock you out before you even get started on your combos, if you're not careful. If you put all those pieces together, you know you have an opponent that should not be underestimated! I won by a hair, barely able to stand up!"
Kira's smiled grew wider as she thought of the answer. "They are so interesting. They aren't like any other pokemon. I heard they live on a totally different plane then us, if they chose. When their master dies, they can still see them. They see ghost humans!" She rambled on for a moment before giving a small giggle before she looked at the ground. "When I was little, I used to wish I was a ghost type pokemon... I know it probably sounds stupid, but I always wondered what it was like. They are so powerful and interesting...." She paused for a second then glanced at him again.
Luxray
He took the branch in his hands and made a dismal pfft sound with his mouth as inspected it. He seriously considered rejecting it. He didn't need anyone's help! To hell with them! But it was probably necessary for him to get anywhere... Begrudgingly, he slid from his branch and began to test the makeshift crutch, facing away from Peony so as not to show how red his face most likely was at the moment. It appeared to work well enough. He idly tapped the branch against the ground, feeling embarrassed and pathetic.
Haunter
He tilted his head to one side, taking in what she'd said. She'd made Ghost Types sound so... awesome. So fascinating. So amazing. Haunter chuckled good-naturedly, then replied, "I'm afraid we're not as intriguing as you think." He shrugged nonchalantly. "I suppose when you are one, it's hard to think much of yourself, because you're used to everything. Anyways, being a ghost's not all that great. Pretty much the same as being any other type. Except, of course, you can float and walk through stuff. But other than that, we're nothing special."

Peony watched from the corner of her eye and smiled slightly. He was so much like her yet so different. Though they both had a habit of falling off branches. That had Peony's shoulders shaking with silent laughter. She shook her head and stood up. Stubborn Electric type... "Thanks, Luxray... See ya in town!" and with that she flew off towards her brothers and the twins. She landed and knocked on the door.

"Kirlia, I've told you before all the cutomers have to pay. Sorry Goldeen but rules are rules," she saif gently as she took the money from Goldeen. She put the revive and water in a bag and handed it over to Goldeen who was waiting patiently.
"So how did your lesson go with Xatu?" Gardevoir asked. Kirlia paled, "It went great, kay bye!" Kirlia grabbed Zubat and Goldeen and yanked them out of the shop.
"Sorry about that guys but my Mum was about to go into all out inquisition mode," she groaned.

The setting changes from Renovia to Claris Town
Riolu
Riolu nodded understandably as Abner explained about the Blaziken he fought.
"Sounds tough. That's pretty impressive that you won," he said gruffly. "I'm not looking forward to that part of evolving. If I ever become a Lucario that means I'll be weak against fire types and that won't be fun." Riolu longed for the day that he could evolve even if it did mean being weak against fire types. His uncles kept telling him to enjoy his time as a basic type but Riolu was too keen on growing up and getting stronger.
Lucario glanced at the clock, "Where the hell is Kirlia with that revive," he growled.

Plusle and Minun
There was a knock at the door and Minun flew to answer it. Plusle stayed in the kitchen and finished making the pie.
"Why are there so many bad pokemon now?" she asked curiously. She had asked her parents about it before but they had refused to answer instead choosing to distract her with toys and ice-cream.
"Hi Peo!" Minun grinned. His grin suddenly vanished as he heard some beautiful music. It sounded like a woman's voice and it was so pretty.
"Do you hear the singing? It's so beautiful!" Minun said in awe.
There was a knock at the door and Minun flew to answer it. Plusle stayed in the kitchen and finished making the pie.

Abner had to laugh. "Knowing Kirlia, she's probably taking her time about it! Goldeen, though, may be on her way with the revive, right now!" He looked at Xatu. "I have to admit, Xatu would have been Champion of the Psychic Division, had he been in the arena! I've seen him in action several times! Trust me, anyone in their right mind would want to stay on his good side!" He turned his attention back to Riolu. "A lot of what I know of fighting, I learned from my parents, as a Mankey. The forest is great and all, but all that training does get lonely. It makes me wish I had a girlfriend, but I barely have spare time for anything, outside training and the arena."

Riolu sighed, he wished that he could be as good at fighting as Abner. He spent a lot of time training and fighting too but Riolu was no where near the Primeape's level. Not that he'd ever admit it but Riolu was totally jealous. Still once Riolu was finished woth school perhaps he'd have enough time to become as strong as Abner. Then he could travel to Silverthorn city and avenge his parents once and for all.

Abner had to explain, at this point. "My family is a long line of Mankeys and Primeapes who have been guarding the forest from bandits and other deviants for some time. My relatives were part of the reason the forest has been so peaceful for as long as it has. That is, until that pesky Darkrai came along with some sort of domination plot, then things went chaotic in most parts! This town is the only refuge I have, outside the forest. I hope to one day bring peace to the forest so I will have time for a more social life. Until then, I have to continue to spar with the best fighters Claris has to offer, getting better at fighting everyday."
Riolu
Riolu flinched he heard rumours of the whole Darkrai sinister taking over the world thingy but had never had actually believed it.
"Wait are you saying you actually believe in this whole Darkrai thing? Maybe that's what Xatu wanted to warn us about. That would explain why I've been having bad vibes of late."
Riolu presumed that even if Darkrai had attempted world domination King Archeus would have stopped him. If the rumours were true what if Darkrai had beaten Archeus and was maybe heading this way. He cursed the mountains that seperated Claris Town from the rest of civilisation. If they weren't there they would know what was going on but then again the mountains might be the only thing protecting them from Darkrai's evil.
"We have to wake up Xatu and find out. Do you want to go find Kirlia kick the shit out of her and get that bloody revive? I was hoping by sending Goldeen and Zubat that the job would be done quicker but they're probably getting their fucking nails done." Riolu lashed out at a nearby punching bag almost breaking its chain and sending it flying.

Goldeen didn’t mind having to pay for the Revive and the water. She was a shop owner herself and understood full well that although you may want to give some things away for free business doesn’t go well when you operate that way. After Gardevoir bagan to question Kirlia about her lessons for the day Kirlia swiftly yanked Goldeen and zubat out of the Pokemart. Goldeen was amused by Kirlia’s reaction. She was so free-spirited and seemingly quite the opposite of her mother who seemed so composed and mature.
“Well I suppose we should all hurry back now. Who knows what state poor Mr. Xatu’s in right now.” Goldeen said with a tone of concern. The three girls began to be on their way back to the others.

Poor kid... Primeape sighed as he watched Riolu let off steam and rant. "I'll see what I can do!"
He sprinted over to town, keeping his eyes open for the trio. Kirlia might be holding up Goldeen and Zubat, like she usually does! If I weren't so busy sparring and training, I'd probably ask that water gal out! After moments of sprinting in Claris, he saw them. He ran up to them, stopping when he was close enough for them to hear what he had to say.

"Minun stop eating the pie and get Peo a drink," she snapped. Minun's head appeared from under the table, a sheepish expression covering his face, and pie covering his expression. He sulkily went to the fridge and set a jug of water and a jug of orange juice down in the table along with the glasses.
"What bad pokemon?" Minun asked innocently. He took a seat beside Peo and began to gobble down what was left of the pie. Plusle rolled her eyes as she sat next to him.
It's a good thing I managed to save some pieces for myself and the others before Minun destroyed it she thought.
"You're going to have a tummy ache later and I'm going to say I told you so," she grinned.
