Loris chuckled, "Well... you never know, dear." He said softly and his eyes got wide. "Oh a present. I love presents." He said in a innocently like voice before hurrying to bed. He didn't like her going anywhere by herself, but he didn't want to keep her trapped either so he listened to her and waited in his bed like a good boy before eventually passing out.

Lorelei sighed, she really didn't feel like being questioned so she turned to him and let it all out. "Because I was afraid that he wouldn't see Loris killing this that guy," she pointed to the crematory, "as self defense. He already... he already tried killing Loris once and I was a little scared. I know how medicines work. I freaking make them after all and I know that just because it works wonderful for a while doesn't mean it always will. Or maybe it will with him, I don't know. But I was scared and have been for a bit. It is fucking logical to be scared and your stupid son can't seem to figure it out. So there. It is over and done. I don't feel like talking about it anymore because there is nothing else that can be done and I rather not dwell on stupid shit when I have work to do." She said without looking at him and went to fill out the paper work for the body.

Ivie looked innocent, "You keep making that scowl and I won't be thinking innocent thoughts, Mister." She said before smiling evilly and laid next to him. "So we are both torturing each other... ahhh just the way I like it." She giggled as Dawn laid on her belly.

Elise didnt come back for a while since she had something to hunt down after she stopped at home. She got what she wanted to get and then went and got stuff to make Loris some lunch too when it was time for that. She walked in and locked the door behind her and then peeked in on him to find him fast asleep. She smiled softly and then went about her own business making a healing soup that woud actually taste good to help Loris heal up a little faster. She got on her penguin pajamas and sat down to do some knitting while the soup simmered away and Loris slept.

Misha sighed a little bit. "We're all scared Lorelei. You're right, the meds could stop working, and we would lose him again. He's scared too Lorelei. He didnt ask for any of this, he cant control it either. He doesnt want to hurt people. Especially not you. Maybe this is his way of trying to protect you from the parts of him that scare him the most." Misha said pretty sternly. "You know, Ive known that boy since he was eleven, and not once have I seen him cry for any reason other than you. When they had him at the hospital and I got to visit him, that was the first time I had seen him cry, and it was because he was so afraid you'd hate him." Misha said, a certain sadness in his voice. "Ive seen the report already, he's made it abundantly clear that Loris only acted in self defense. No one would bother questioning it....Being afraid of his schizophrenia is logical, fearing the man Adrian is inside isnt." Misha turned and walked out of the crematorium to leave Lorelei to her self. He wasnt going to make her talk any more, just give her food for thought. Misha tried to get through to Adrian too, but even after he got the office unlocked he walked in to find that Adrian was no where to be found. He had finished just the one autopsy and had left the building.

"Oh the scowls going to get you in trouble is it? Oh my. I should scowl at you more often then." He joked and then patted Dawn gently. "Leave it to you to be a sadist and a masochist all at the same time. How do you contain all of that in your tiny self? Jeeze, what did I get myself into." He said with a chuckle as he closed his eyes and shook his head at her.

Loris woke up a couple hours later and smelled food. It was a sigh of relief since he figured it was Elise. He slowly got up and walked out to see her knitting and in her pajamas. "Oh no... Mrs. Lou is definitely going to leave her husband for you if she saw you in that."He shook his head and walked to sit on the couch across from her. "Whatever is cooking smells good and you look absolutely adorable. Making me jealous you have such cute pajamas. If you see all your animal pajamas gone one day... it was Adrian. I swear." He smiled.

Lorelei didn't get any more bodies and walked out of the office and wandered around. She peeked in the office and didn't find Adrian there. She walked around before she found stairs to the roof. She thought why not and walked up the flight of stairs to the roof and slowly opened the door. He was sitting down, looking over the city. Lorelei quietly closed the door and began to sing.



She tried not to cry as she sang, but couldn't help the tears that fell.

Ivie laughed softly, "I have no idea. My mother used to asked the same thing... you are stuck with me though, unless you leave. But that would make me very very very sad, because I like you a little lot." She said and looked at him with his eyes clothes. "You have a nice personality and now I can't really see you as a playboy. You are too shy and doofy." She giggled.

Elise didnt look up though she did smirk a little. "Its soup for you to help heal you up, Mrs. Lou already said she would, and you cant fool me. Adrian seems like a just straight up sleeps in his boxers kind of man." She said and glanced over at him. "Your present is on the coffee table." She said nodding towards the coffee table where there was a box with a card on it that read. "Thanks for saving my ass...Again...-Love Elise" On the top of it. Inside, folded neatly was his gift

Adrian didnt look up when someone came to the roof of the building. He didnt even stir at all, just kept looking out at the city. He had wondered if he should just leave, go be a teacher again at the college far away where he couldnt hurt any of the people he loved if his medicine failed. For a split second he contemplated falling off the roof. He decided he didnt really want to die though. He was deep into his thoughts when Lorelei's voice, her singing pulled him out of his jumbled mind. It seemed less like a song and more like a conversation. By the end of it Adrian wasnt even fighting back tears anymore, he just let them fall as he hugged his knees to his chest and burried his face in them.

"I like you a little lot too." He said, his eyes still closed. "I get you thinking im doofy, I am just a bid doof anyways. But I dont know where you're getting a shy vibe from. I dont think anyones ever called me shy before." He said and chuckled a little.

Loris shook his head, "Them two... I never know what is up with them." He sighed and looked down. "O0o0o0oo." He said. He reached down and read the card. A smile crept on his face and he opened it. He couldn't help but laugh and looked at her. "You didn't." He said and opened it. "Ugh... I love it. Thank you. You really didn't have to... hold on." He ran out and got into his gift and then came back out. "How do I look? We are twinsies!" He chuckled and sat back down. "Thank you though... I really love it." He said softly.

Lorelei wiped her tears away and went sit next to him. "I... didn't mean to make it seem like I thought of you as some monster." She said softly, almost a whisper. Lorelei didn't look at him, but at the city below them. "I am not scared OF you. I am scared of losing you and everyone I care about. I know you can't help it and I know you are just as scared. It hurts more that you left than it did when you had to leave... because you left on your own accord. I still love you, but if you think this is for the best then so be it." She said and kissed him on his cheek before getting up and walking back to the door.

Her eyebrow went up. Ivie thought he was shier than a lot of guys she knew or maybe that was him being a gentleman. She didn't know. "Hmm... well maybe not shy. Eh, you are still adorable and I would keep you." She said. "What are you doing after work, besides eyeing the ladies?" She winked at him.

Elise couldnt help but giggle at him when he came back out. "Well I thought you would enjoy a nice pair of cutesie pajamas. And I already had the ones im wearing, and I saw those the other day while I was out shopping so I thought you might like them." She said and looked him up and down. "It suits you though, very much like the Loris I get to know that other people dont. Im glad you like it." She said with a smile. She got up and checked on the soup, it was done and ready to eat. "You hungry Mr. Penguin?" She asked, looking over her shoulder.

Adrian listened while she talked but he couldnt bring himself to look over at her. When she kissed his cheek and got up to walk to the door he got up and grabbed her before she could open it. He pulled her close and just held her there for a minute. "I didnt want to leave you...I dont know how else I can protect you from getting hurt if my meds stop working...The last thing I ever want to do if hurt you like that...I thought if I ended things maybe it would be easier on you...I dont want to let you go though..."

"Oh well yay for being adorable and getting to keep my cute girlfriend." Blair said and opened his eyes again and gently moved Dawn before pulling Ivie to him. "Im not doing anything after work tomorrow. Why? You got somewhere you want to go?" He asked and kissed her forehead.

Loris followed her and leaned over her shoulder, when she looked over their faces were so close that he blushed and backed away. "Why yes, Mrs, Penguin I am rather starved. You see I woke up to that wonderful smell and realized it was lunch time. You do have a great head on your shoulder." He said and patted her head before getting a bowl and went back to the living room and sat criss cross. "Elllliiiii come on over and sit with meee." He pretended to cough. "I need your company!"

She held him close. Lorelei took in his warmth and smell, "How can you be so smart and dumb at the same time? How could you think that leaving me would be easier on me, Adrian? Did you not see what happened last time you left? Did that just leave your mind?" She pulled away. "I am sorry it ended this way, but the only way you ever hurt me was leaving me. I am taking over Loris' job until he comes back, so try not sending so many bodies down so fast. I don't know how he pushes those dame tables like thery are nothing. Sheesh." She smiled softly up at him. "I am glad I at least got to spend the time I did have with you..." Lorelei said softly before opening the door and heading back down.

Dawn huffed and laid away from them. She snuggled up to him, "I just wanted to spend some time with you outside of the house. Do you like jazz or something? I know there is a band playing tomorrow night that will be playing in downtown." She said and smiled up at him after he kissed her forehead.

Elise shook her head at him and grabbed a bowl too before she went and sat next to him. "Gosh damn Loris. What are you going to do when I eventually go back to my own house huh? You gonna cry for me to come back, ya big kid?" She said and playfully shook her head at him. "You'll have to get used to living without me again now that I dont have to be scared that im going to wake up and malcolms going to be staring down at me." She said in a matter of fact tone before bowing on a spoonful of soup and starting to eat.

Adrian stood there for a second before taking off after her, though he missed a step while he was hurrying and ended up toppling down about a whole section of the stairs. He sat up and rubbed the back of his head once he realized what happened and then stood up and carefully hurried down the rest of them. He eventually caught up to Lorelei and stubbornly blocked the door to the crematory. "I dont...I never really wanted to leave you...But you seemed so afraid of me, every time that did something, and you wouldnt look at me like you did before. And then that thing with Loris and Elise's ex...I thought you didnt want to be with me anymore because of the way I am. Im so sorry I left you..Im book smart, but im an idiot about everything else...I dont want to leave you..I never did." He said and then looked over at her. "Its not possible for me to take it back..it it..?"

"Well I like most music so im down for that if you are dear. It would be nice to go out with you. Its not very often you dont have Forrest when I get a chance to hand out with you, so it will be nice to go out just me and you. Im gonna miss my little buddy though, who else is going to chase dawn around with me and mess up your tidy house huh?" He said and chuckled a little bit.

Loris frowned as he ate. "I will just have to tell you really scary stories and then you will be so scared that you just have to come back." He said with a happy face. "I am going to miss you when you are gone, not even going to lie. You are great company, Eli. Why don't you come over tomorrow night and I can show you some of the stuff I have knitted and won awards for, but you can't see them unless you come back." He said with a big smile.

Lorelei jumped back a bit and looked up at him and frowned. "You are all busted up, what the hell... you are... bleeding." She moved him and opened the door before taking his hand and bringing him to her little cot/office in the crematory. She made him sit and patched him up. "The hell Adrian..." she whispered. Lorelei cupped his face, "You can take it back, but doesn't mean I am not hurt still. You left me in the pouring rain with your jacket that I may or may not have left at the door step. I want you back... more than anything. It just hurts right now." She said softly before kissing the cut that was bandaged on his head. "I love you." She whispered.

Ivie shook her head and squished his face gently, "It is a date and you leave my clean house alone. Ugh my poor baby and the Forrest, he is really liking you. Who knew you could look so much like a dad." She laughed softly. "Can't wait to see you tomorrow. You have to dress spiffy. Like hot hot.. make me swoon and I will do the same."

Elise laughed and shook her head. "You're bribing me with knitting products and scary stories? Loris you fiend." She said and then gasped dramatically. "I'll come over I guess. You dont have to feel the need to bribe me though, you can just ask me to come over and I will." She said and took another bite. "You arent going to miss me, just my ass in those pug shorts! Im on to your game mister!" She joked.

Adrian sighed and let him patch her up. "I might have falen down a flight of stairs...Maybe...And then ran back down the rest of them. I will be fine..." He said and looked over at her. He cupped her cheeks with his hands gently. "I'm sorry..I know I hurt you...I dont really deserve to have you back, I dont even deserve to be around you...I'll do everything I can to make it up to you...I promise...Im not ever going to eave you again unless you tell me you want me to.." He said softly with a serious look on his face.

"I will not leave your clean house alone. Forrest likes to play cops and robbers and he throws toys in attempts to slow me down. Which is pretty hilarious considering he's really tiny compared to me and I just kinda have to pretend its actually working....DO I really look like a dad? Oh no. I'll lose my play boy image if I look like a dad. So sad. Devastating even!" Blair cried. " Im going to dress so spiffy you wont be able to keep your hands off of me. Muahaha."

"Fine can you come over the night after tomorrow too?" He asked softly before putting his bowl down. "And excuse you, my ass in those shorts would look A-MAZING. Okay? And YOU will be so jealous. Now what, missy? Hmm?" He shook his head and and the beak shook. "Actually tomorrow... would you mind counting it as a date?" He asked softly.

"Okay." She said softly and looked at him seriously. "Let's have a kid as soon as possible. That way I know you will marry me."

Ivie laughed, "I really do love seeing you two play. It makes me really happy, it does." She said and shook her head and rubbed his chest and let her hands slid down to his stomach, "You mean more than I already do?" Ivie gasped.

"Do you plan on asking me to come back every night Loris?" She asked and raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh im so sorry for not realizing what a fine ass you have. I shall have to surrender all of my shorts to you since theyre fit for a queen and you're the only queen here with an ass worthy of them. My apologies good sir." She said and set her bowl down before giving him a small curtsy. She picked up the bowls and looked over her shoulder at him. "If that was your sly way of asking me for a date...It worked.." She said then disappeared into the kitchen to wash the dished.

Adrian blinked and then just stared at Lorelei for a second before closing his eyes. "Alright. If thats what you really want. I'd marry you either way though..." He said then kissed her forehead. He wasnt sure why she would want a baby right now, but if thats what she felt like he needed, well he would do anything for her.

Blair glanced down at Ivie for a second then closed his eyes again. "Oh yes, its gonna be ten times worse. I'll have to pry you off of me with a crowbar." He said with a smirk. "it wont be as bad as if I decided to let you watch me work out shirtless. I fear for my safety if I let that happen" He joked.

Loris pretended to flip his hair, "I am queen, thank you very much." He said and smiled when she agreed on the date. He stood and followed her into the kitchen. "Though you know... I bet you in a onsie would kill me. Just in case you would want to one day. I would just melt. Right then and there. Ugh you would be so fucking adorable. Who made you this cute? I will sue them." He said and sat on the counter.

She smiled up at him happily, "Good... I start ovulation in a couple of days." She said and patted his hand softly. "You said you wouldn't leave me and you did, so I don't really know if you marrying me either way is true either." She said and walked off to get the body's ashes and placed it in an urn.

"Oh my... I can't wait." She said and sat on him before pouting. "We have to workout out together so we can be equally hot and I can bring in more men into my work." Ivie poked his chest. "Make me hot dammit. I gotta get stronk. I gotta have guns!" Ivie said and held up her arms like she was flexing.

"Wear one of the ten onesies I own tomorrow, alright, got it boss." She said and gave him a sarcastic look while she cleaned one of the bowls. "Im pretty sure you can thank my parents for the way I look. Pretty sure theyre the reason" She said and looked back down at the dishes, wondering why Loris would try hard enough to even ask her on a date.

Adrian sat and fiddled with something in his pocket for a minute before standing up and heading for the door. "The ring in my pocket says otherwise, dear." He said and then practically ran away back to his office to start on working some more.

Blair couldnt help but laugh. "More men I have to scare away if they try to flirt with you? No thanks. You can just stay adorably petite, thats fine with me. You're already plenty hot. Besides if you're buff too, people are going to wonder why you're with me and not some body builder with muscles the size of my torso." He said and gently poked her nose in protest.

Loris smiled and swung his feet softly, "Dang parents trying to kill me. I knew they had it out for me." He looked up to look at her and frowned a bit. "What is on your mind, Eli? You can always talk to me you know?" He asked.

Lorelei watched him go and shook her head. If he wanted to marry her he could, but she knew he was waiting till she was eighteen and she had been joking about the pregnancy thing, but she was going to let it drag out.

Ivie wiggled and scrunched her nose, "Hey hey hey, I am manly and hot. Not adorable. Shame on you, Blair." She said and pretended to make an angry face at him. Ivie smirked and leaned down, whispering in his ear. "Stop poking me right there." She slid off of him and laughed as she crawled to Dawn and leaned down and kissed the top of her head.

Elise shook her head softly and gave Loris a smile. "Its just been long day already and its just barely past noon. That all Loris." She said and then finished up the dishes and started putting them up. When she was done she went back to the couch and started knitting away at the hat that she was making for Misha.

Adrian worked for a minute before pretty much running back to the crematory and swinging the door open. "You wanna tell Dol Not to suck the life out of my family? She's probably just as mad at me as you are and she told me she was going to so.." He said and then blinked. "Sorry..I'll go work now." He said and scampered off again.

Blair blinked and then turned a little red before making the most dull face possible and pulling the small police baton out of his pocket. "Ha. Very funny dear. You almost had me for a minute. Almost." He said and waved the baton at her.

Loris sighed and followed her, "Is that really why you were making that face?" He asked and sat next to her. "I don't want you to hid anything from me. I can take it. You forget I am a grown man... even if I have stuffed animals and like cute pajamas. My mom even says I am." He pouted before reaching over and gently taking her hands and showing her a knit move so she wouldn't mess up.

Lorelei jumped and slowly looked at him before blinking before running off and telling the girl upfront she would be back in a bit as she ran off to Dol's house and busting through the door. She was doing yoga in the living room. "Don't... kill... Adrian's family." She huffed and Dol smiled. "Okay." Was all she said and Lorelei slowly made her way back to the crematory.

Ivie looked back at him and pouted. "Oh that's right you only get THAT happy when Adrian or Loris cuffs you to thinks. Silly me... I forgot." She said and kissed and cuddled Dawn who cuddled up to her.

"I dont forget that you're a grown man Loris. Not even for a second." Elise said and then watched closely while he showed her how to knit. "Dont you worry your pretty little brain over what goes on in mine. Everything is fine. Its just been a stressful day mentally." She said softly.

Adrian went back to work on his autopsies that needed to be done and had to remind himself not to just blow through them since Lorelei was down there instead of Loris, and considering most of the bodies weighted more than Lorelei did it had to be harder on her.

Blair blinked at the pouting and then smirked a little bit. "Oh my, so upset it wasnt the real thing. So sorry to disappoint. I am a gentleman thank you very much, there will be none of that here. No no." He said and waved his finger at her. It wasnt entirely true, he was only being this way with Ivie since he actually cared and didnt want to rush anything, especially with her past with Atlas' dumb ass.

Loris nodded and when he was done he let her go at it. He took the time while she knitted to read up on his medical books, even though his mind wandered over to Elise. He was worried. He wasn't Blair and he knew she was in love it with him which meant she was into guys like and hot like himself.

Lorelei passed out on her cot in the crematory when the day was done. She had no idea Loris job was so hard and would have to feel his arms when he got back. She also almost fell into the furnace a couple times and was glad she finally found a system to work in.

Ivie threw a pillow at him. "Okay, mom." She said, "I guess you will have to just sleep over there then, hm?" She smiled and went back to Dawn. "Dawn is getting so big, ugh. Lemme love on you more." She said and Dawn wagged her tail happily. Ivie knew Blair wanted to take his time with her, which was fine, but she liked to tease a little. It was in her blood. She never got to have fun with guys since Atlas knocked her up at such a young age.

Elise knitted for a little while longer but something kept nagging at her. What did Loris see in her. She didnt know what kind of girls he liked so she wasnt even sure if she was just his type and it was convenient or if there was some other reason for it. She sat quietly for a minute before speaking up. "What was your ex like? You never say much about her, understandably...So I cant help but get curious about who she was." She asked quietly.

Adrian finished up with the bodies a while before, and he was just filing out paperwork while he waited for Lorelei to be done in the crematory. After a while he locked up his lab and went down to the crematory to find Lorelei asleep on the cot. He knelt down and gently poked at her cheek. "Lor you gotta wake up, its not safe to sleep in here like this..." He said softly."

Blair caught the pillow and let himsef fall back over onto his back and then stared at the top of the blanket fort for a second. "Ive been banished to over there have I? Of all the things to get in trouble for." He said and puffed his cheeks out like the big kid he was before he looked over at Ivie and Dawn. "You know its bad when the dog gets loved on more than you" He joked. "Darn Dawns adorable floppy ears and wiggly butt, I never had a chance"

Loris looked over to her when she asked him the question and closed the book. "She was a sweet girl, got me out of my past. She liked to have fun. Had a thing for kids. Always wanted a family and now she got one." He smiled at her. "I had no idea she was seeing a guy behind my back. I literally have no idea what I was doing wrong." He shrugged then he looked at her. "Why are you... I mean were you so in love with Blair?" He asked.

Lorelei mumbled and got up, winching, and stood up. "Ugh I am going to be so sore. I am already sore." She sighed and took his hand. "Did you ever find Micah?" She asked as they walked back to her home. When she got in Dol was in her home and looked over some books before looking up. She saw Adrian and shook her head before leaving.

Ivie looked over at him, "Well yeah, she loves on me more than you do. Duh." She smiled and rubbed Dawn's ear which made her foot stomp. "Oh I found one of your sweet spots, huh?" She cooed and laughed before rolling over and crawling back to Blair and cuddling him. "Mmm you deserve some loving too, I guess." She smiled.

Elise thought about it for a while. "Blair...Never wanted anything from me, he never cat called me, he didnt pay any mind to the reputation I had, and he didnt judge me when I proved that reputation right. Not one time. I didnt fall in love with him at first, we worked together for nearly three years before I realized I had feelings for him. He never treated me like some kind of fragile woman either. He was the first man I met who hung out with me just because he liked who I was instead of because the way I looked or because he wanted me for sex. He'd walk me home and tell me to stay safe, and to kick ass if anyone bothered me. He cared about me as a person." She said and then stopped knitting. "I guess thats why...Otherwise I dont really know why."


Adrian took her hand and walked back to her place with her. He shook his head when she asked about Micah. "No. He never came home last night. Dont know what he's gotten up to." He said just before they walked in and he watched Dol shake her head and just walk away. "I'm pretty sure she actually hates me." He said looking at the door.

"Oh Im sorry would you LIKE me to lick your face? Thats a pretty strange fetish there love." Blair teased and then cuddled up to Ivie, gently rubbing her arm with one hand while he had his other hand on her hip.

Loris didnt know what to say and just nodded before going back to his book. He didn't know why he even asked about Blair, maybe because she asked about his ex. Now all he wanted to do was get out of the pajamas he was wearing and go have a drink. Something to get his mind off of everything. "You know, I think I'm going to be okay. You can go home, since you've been away for a couple days. I would end up missing it. I'll be okay." He smiled and got up before disappearing into his room and stripping off the pajamas before throwing them in the closet with the two stuffed penguin and putting back on his normal clothes. He felt like a fucking idiot.

"Oh no...she does. I have seen that look a thousand times." She said softly as she put on tea. "She already doesn't take kindly to humans." Lorelei shook her head and sat down on the cot. "I don't really want a kid, Adrian... or anything really." She looked down at her feet. "Nothing feels right, right now."

Ivie looked at him seriously, "of course I want you to." She smiled and rested her head on one arm and her hand on his chest. "We all know you have the weird ass fetish here. I mean... I look like a kid." She winked.

Elise sighed and put the soup up, and wrote him a note about dinner already being cooked and put up, and that he would just need to reheat it. "Honestly...Why ask a question if you didnt want an answer..Grown man my ass" She mumbled and then grabbed her things from the guest room and headed out the door, walking back to her place and then doing up her hair before going out for the afternoon.

Adrian sat in front of the fire ad just stared at it. "I didnt really think you were serious about the kid thing in the first place.." He said softly and closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again and staring at the fire once more. "I dont know why she doesnt like humans, but she seems to get along with Micah just fine"

"You dont look like a kid, youve got too many sexy womanly curves for that. You just look like a tiny woman." Blair said and peeked down at her. "Im not going to lick your face. THATS a fetish. And im not dealing with it. Next thing I know you'd be asking me to bark on command." H said and sighed heavily upon remembering people actually liked stuff like that.

Loris waited for the door to close before getting out of his room. He waited till dark to go out to the bar, a different one from the ones they usually hung at and started his round of drinking for the night. He didn't know why he would even try with her. He had been in the background for so long that it didn't make sense to start now. He felt like he was the next best thing since she couldn't have Blair and it pissed him off.

Lorelei shrugged, "can we be one hundred percent certain that Micah is all human?" She smiled and looked at the fire too before making tea. "I honestly don't think it is because you are human and more because of what she has seen since she has been here. I can't blame her for being the way she is. I would be the same way if it was the other way around." She said, frowning a bit.

Ivie shook her head before laughing, " damn, I was just about to ask you that." She pouted playfully before bopping his nose. "You are such a gentleman. Makes a girl wanna swoon, ya know?:
