The Institute for Super-Abominations/Nalliv

Velocity suddenly looked away from Reggie, turning to the sound of a crashing down the hallway. She blinked a couple of times towards the doorway. "...Did you hear that?" she asked. She stood up off of the bed, walking towards the door of the hotel room and carefully opening it, peering out a little. "Are you sure nobody else lives in this hotel, Reg? I swear I heard something..." she trailed off a little, listening out for footsteps of some sort.

Madoc cocked his head sideways curiously, as the girl spoke about her ability "I can turn invisible," she paused, before continuing "But it makes me blind. It's like the light bends around me so it doesn't reach my eyes." then she added,"I can't control it." Madoc's lips turned into a painful smile, before he let out a small, dry and almost bitter laugh "I know the feeling." Madoc gave a push finally pushing Naomi through the window.

After a few seconds passed Madoc grabbed the edge of the window, before scurrying against the wall and pushing himself through, "They kept me on drugs to keep me invisible all the time. I don't know why." Naomi spoke again she seemed cold outside, "How long do these drugs last for?" Madoc asked, trying to keep the conversation going, as he shoved himself through the window. It was a lot colder outside, and he shuddered but then looked helplessly at Naomi she must be freezing, he figured he could find her some clothes some way or another.

"Erm... what's your power?" she asked, which caused Madoc to shudder slightly before muttering something incoherently, "I don't thin- no wait... no." he paused and rephrased his words, "I think I can alter reality... but the institute were more focused on something else..." he paused early, sounding nervous not wanting to say that he was immortal, he'd open that can of worms later, he already sounded like a freak and he didn't want to go into overdrive with it.

His eyes looked around the area they were in, scanning the details. It was a small narrow alley that they had emerged from. Madoc looked carefully to the ground before trying to formulate a plan, he couldn't think of anything. He turned towards Naomi, "Let's find somewhere to rest, or something..." his hand gently grabbed Naomi's, before he began looking at which way to go.

Sometime during the night, Tzal awoke. "Mm... Brother...?" she asked sitting up on the sheets. Xoch was sitting on the edge of the bed, facing away from her. "Brother." He looked up at her and smiled some. She crawled up to him and hugged him. "Onii-san, what has you so dazed?"

"Nothing, mei mei..." he muttered, kissing her forehead "I'm just preparing for when we leave Felix, James and Ira..." he said, holding up the backpack he had. Tzal nodded sadly.

"I like it here but if they kick us out, it's better to be prepared..."

Reggie grinned as he listened to Velocity. "All right all right I'm sorry I-" he started quietly. However he was caught by surprise as she continued. "But... I was half wanting you to say that... Well, Uhm...I kinda wanted you to say that you were hugging me, because... You wanted to." His heart jumped a bit. Was she actually showing affection beyond their usual teasing? He waited patiently and listened as she continued on. When she finished, Reggie sighed. "Well I did tell you I'd give you an answer so no backing out now. I'm sorry about everything. Getting in your personal space bubble, scaring you, everything. But to be perfectly honest, it was just because I needed to get you out of there." He sighed again, staring at the ground. "I mean, I know it sounds pretty stupid, but you've been around for so long, well I'd be kind of lost if I didn't get you out at least." He finished and sat silent for a moment, then suddenly heard a crash down the hall. "Yeah, no one else lives here." He scowled out the door way, then ran back into his room and grabbed his bag. "Doesn't mean no one followed us though. C'mon let's go."

Waking from the best three hours of sleep he's had in years, Felix carefully slid out of the bed abd out in to the hall. He had crime to plan, and revenge to plot. Walking past the room the two children he picked up, he heard voices. Good, he thought knocking on the door. Felix didn't want to wait until the morning to talk to Xoch, " Xoch?" he asks softly knocking again. Felix didn't knowwhy he wanted the siblings to stay, or even if they would be useful. But Ira seemed to have boonded with Tzal and that was enough for him.


James sat in large chair trying to convince himself to go to sleep. But because of the various feelings he seemed to get all the time, he couldnt calm his mind enough to sleep. Standing with a sigh James walked in to the kitchen, maybe the dull work of washing dishes would help calm him

Xoch heard the door and gently let Tzal onto the bed. She sat and watched as Xoch opened the door for Felix. The room was dark at the moment, only lit by a small candle Xoch had and lit on the bedside table. "You called, Felix-san?" he asked politely. Tzal took one of the many fluffy pillows and held it, crossing her legs over the other side. "Tzal, if you're still hungry go to the kitchen and find something, okay..?" she nodded and pillow in tow, left the room.

"James..? Is there any food left from earlier..?" she asked, holding the pillow and rubbing her eyes. She leaned on the wall and watched the other male.

"Huh?" Velocity turned her head back into the room to Reggie, head tilting to one side. "How could someone have found us that quick- wait, how long were we sleeping for..." She tapped her chin with her finger thoughtfully and then shook her head. "Guess that doesn't matter, where are we going?" She asked, walking into his room and blinking at him a couple of times. And then within a second having shot across the room and stood next to him. "I mean, it could be just some homeless guy looking for somewhere else to stay, right? And do you even know somewhere else to go?" She tried reasoning with him, not quite wanting to leave this place, as admitedly it was pretty awesome. She frowned slightly, dashing back to the door and taking a step out, trying to see if she could spot anyone suspicious. Maybe she could try and prove he was overreacting...

Naomi wasn't sure how long the drugs lasted; she'd never really been aware of how much time was passing between each... appearance. "Maybe a few hours," she replied, but it was a guess. She was beginning to shiver as Madoc took her hand a gently led her forward. His power sounded amazing, a lot more useful that hers anyway. Being invisible would be great if she could see. Maybe one day she'd get used to moving around blind, but not any time soon. Altering reality would be so much more amazing. You could do anything. She knew he wasn't telling her everything, but she wasn't bothered; after being tortured the way they all had, everyone was entitled to their privacy. She let Madoc lead her forward, trying to predict when there would be a drop or a rise on the ground.

In some ways, she hoped she would feel the drugs draining out of her system, at least then she could warn him when it was about to happen. After all, she wasn't wearing any clothes, which would explain her shivering while his hand was strong around hers. She stumbled a little over a pebble. "Where do you think the others went?" She asked, distracting herself from her thoughts. They couldn't have just vanished. They're not like her.

" Can we talk?" Felix asked calmly gesturing to down the hall. He wasn't quite sure how to start this conversation and he knew that his reputation was going to fly out of the window, now that he had to take care of his daughter. But, if we gather more people with powers we would be unstoppable. a little voice in the back of his head said.

James had gotten in to a mind state he like to call 'stone heart'. It was compleatly detached from all emotion and most of the world, perfect for thnking through things or blocking out his powers. When Tzal spoke to him, it took him a few moments to withdraw from that mind state and reply. " There is, but if you want somethng else let me know, I can manke almost anything."

Xoch nodded. "Of course..." he walked out and closed the door behind him. "I must thank you again for helping... And letting us stay for the night..." he said, looking at the floor.

Tzal thought about it. "Can... Can you make waffles..? Onii-san once said that waffles were really good and tasty... And there's lots of different types right..?" she shuffled her feet, almost shyly. The little vine around her neck grew again and slithered onto the floor, over to James and "looked" up at him.

Reggie stood up and grabbed Velocity's shoulder. "Red, think. We were out for a good hour, maybe more. That's more than enough time to take a count and send people out. Now come on." He slid the glass door in the living room open, looked down and formed a slide of ice from the hole in the rail to the ground. "I know you don't want to leave, but trust me, it's better to be safe than sorry." He climbed up on the railing, then turned back and stepped down for a moment. "Oh and at the risk of you probably killing me later," He grabbed her shoulders and kissed her, then pushed her down the slide, following behind her after making sure he had everything from the room in a last check. When he got to the bottom, he incinerated the slide and turned to Velocity. "That wasn't so bad. Now come on, I know where we're going next."

" You're welcome." Felix nods knowing how badly this day could have gone. " And that is what i wanted to talk to you about, you and your sister staying here." he says walking down the hall to his study. He couldn't believe he was even thinking about taking in these.. Runaways.

James nods, " As you wish" he dries off his hands and walks in to the pantry to get the things he needed to make the waffles. " Do you want any strawberries or anything on them?" he asks climbing up a ladder to find some deacent flour.

As soon as Reggie had stopped talking, Velocity slapped him round the face fiercely. She was red in the face and completely humiliated, her stomach doing flips over itself. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU KISS ME YOU IDIOT?!" She yelled in his ear, hands flailing all over the place. "You are a mean, MEAN man! I would've gone down the slide by myself! Why the hell did you do that?! It was too unexpected! I can't even... I...UGGHHH!" She stomped her boot down hard on his foot and then folded her arms together, glaring at him furiously as her cheeks never seemed to lose it's red glow, still completely embaressed, and now having anger to side with that. "I said I wanted a friend, not a freaking pervert to be around! Jesus Christ, I was pissed off with the cuddling, but this is TOO far!" she sneered at him, eyes like daggers as she almost growled at him. "You better explain yourself when we get to this new place..."

Xoch followed Felix, thinking. "You know, sir, you don't have to take us in... We'll be fine out there..." he said, almost uncertainly. He knew he could but what about his sister... He shook his head.

"You can put things on them too? Oh wow... I've never had a strawberry... Can I get some of those..?" she asked quietly. Living in that place meant you never got anything "normal". It was either human flesh or bugs or something else.

Felix stops and looks down slighly at Xoch, " Do you really think that?" he asks softly. " Because if you don't I have an unlimited supply of rooms here and I'm sure our girls would be thrilled to stay together." he opened the door and walked in to his library/ study.


James smiles, knowing there was so much Tzal would have to learn about this world. " Yeah, you can put all kinds of things on waffles, I'll get a few of them out and you can try them all if you want." grabbing a container of oil he walked out of the pantry. Setting his things down, he searches around for a large bowl.

Reggie was lucky he was wearing his combat boots otherwise Velocity probably would've broken a toe. "Come on you can't deny you didn't like it." He teased. "Come on, it's this way. At least, one of them's this way." He said, leading her around the side of the building. "And keep your voice down. We're trying to get out of here remember?" He slid past the hotel walls and out to the corner, double checking that there wasn't anyone there. When he was sure it was safe, he pulled Velocity with him out and back into the alley they had come through. After a few blocks of cautious sneaking, Reggie stopped them at a warehouse not too far from the hotel. Turning to Velocity, he took a deep breath. "The people here aren't exactly the best group to hang around with. Now you've trusted me this far, I just need you to trust me a bit further. Let me do the talking and we'll get through just fine all right? Oh and as for the explanation, we've known each other for some time. You grew on me. Simple as that." He turned back to the steel door and pounded on it with his fist. "Felix you'd better be here."

Madoc paused before choosing the route they were closest too, as he tugged Naomi's arm forward he avoided the debris on the floor. As they emerged out of the alley onto a new road, which seemed deserted apart from the odd person which each looked slightly shady, the air smelled of pollution and the atmosphere was sour. His eyes gave them a quick glance before he and Naomi walked into the alley opposite the previous one, it was better not being seen: as not only did he look a fool, dragging something almost invisible, but he didn't want anyone reporting to the institute. No one probably knew about the institute, but better safe than sorry.

"Where do you think the others went?" Naomi cut in as she regained tripping over a pebble, as they were walking deeper into the opposite alley by now Madoc turned roughly still in thought before shrugging dully, he thought that'd be enough until he realized she couldn't see him, he sighed raggedly at his own mistake "They couldn't of gotten far..." Madoc concluded, "Perhaps they're around here. I doubt it though, we kinda lagged behind. Last ones out... I think anyway," he added "We were fairly lucky, we didn't encounter any guards or anything. Apart from those people frozen to the wall..." he shook his head free of the thoughts, before he resumed walking, tugging Naomi's arm gently.

As they emerged out of this alley, it was different almost completely deserted, there was no one and it was oddly disturbing. However as Madoc scanned the streets, he spotted a clothes shop and there were no audiences, the front window display clothes looked roughly Naomi's size. Madoc's face contorted with relief, "Hey, Naomi! I think I've found a solution for your clothing problem." he exasperated each word, "There's a clothing shop ahead, I think I could edit the window from reality and snatch the clothes without nobody seeing." he walked towards it, muttering how he was going to go about this.

Velocity's cheeks blossomed again, and she just grimaced and pouted, keeping her eyes on the ground whilst her arms stayed firmly crossed and she fumed silently. She was annoyed with him still, though was more just cautious about where Reggie had taken her. This place seemed rather big and read 'doom' all over it. Not literally, but it seemed like it. She could only imagine that the person who possessed this place was also big and read 'doom' all over them. She simply stood behind Reggie and held the back of his trenchcoat a little. "Just... I hope you're not doing anything stupid..." She commented, biting her lip. "And... uhm... thanks I guess... You've grown on me too... a little..." She went quiet and just waited for what was going to happen.

James looke up from his cooking, " Mr. F somone is knocking on the door!" He yells down the hall, he didn't really want to get the door, dispite the fact that it was his job. When his yell carried down the hall, Ira woke with a start not really knowing where she was. Looking around she relaxed, she was safe.


Climbing out of the bed she heard her fathers some what annoyed reply, " Quit flirting with the cat girl and do what I'm paying you for." Walking down the hall Ira saw James walking towards the door.

When James opened the door, a wide smile broke out across his face, " Reggie what are you doing here? I thought they finally caught you.."

X would stop dead in his tracks. "Is.... that the sound of someone yelling" it was faint but he know it herd it. his eyes would dart around trying to listen for it again. He would place his hand atop his glasses a press a button as the HUD his create switch to different mode of vision after pressing the button few time he stops on heartbeat sensor. As two blips show up on his HUD a smile would crawl across X's face. "maybe this wasn't such a waste of time after all" the blips where a few floors a above him. he would look around so for something big and heavy enough to throw his eyes come across an old bed. " its not ideal but it will work as he grabs the metal bed frame and whips his arm upwards launching the frame through the ceiling and floors of just about every room above him. He would then stand under the hold he just made and jump up grabbing the ceiling through and pulling him self up with enough force to send him high enough to grab hold of the ceiling of the next room. he would continue this until he was on the same floor as the blips. as he landed on the floor with a loud thud he can see the blips had just jump out of the window His HUD showed that they where at the end of the hall way of the floor He was on. " This shouldn't take long" as he shifts he weight to the tip of his toes and shoots down the hall way. he had found someone and he wasn't letting them off so EZ. didn't even cross his mind what if they people had nothing to do with his job, but it didn't matter to much at all if they had the misfortune of crossing his path they would pay for it dearly whether they where innocent or not. as he crash through the door . he lands from his dash down the hallway he would shoot off again this time crashing thought the wall right in front of him as he come through the wall. as he flips his body around landing on the wall next to the building he just came out of and shoot off downwards at the ground as he crash down he he could see he had lost them he was to far to see there heartbeats " Damn it! they can have gotten far. YOU HEAR ME DAMN IT I WILL BURN THIS ENTIRE BLOCK TO THE GROUND IT I HAVE TO" he would walk over to a near by car and grab hole of it his hand would grip the car like it was made from paper as he whips his arm back sending the car flying into a building e would look down at his watch and press a small red button detonating the bomb in the hotel trying to scare them out. he would walk a few feet and pick up a light pole and he would rip it from the ground a throw it as if it was made of paper. he would press the button on his headset " patch me through to the police department!" the woman's on the other end would quickly reply "yes sir. " after a few seconds he would hear the sound of a open line. " This is agent Xavier of the FBI ( a fake identification of his) i am tracking very dangerous criminal they have killed four officer already so if you do find them contact me ASAP they are extremely dangerous, So shoot to kill. They where last seen in the old run down area just out of the main city all the help you can give me will be welcomed." as a mans voice on the other end of the line says. " y...yes sir once we check out your story we will be happy to help." X would hit the button on his headset once again "now if her fake ID's can hold up i should have help finding them" as he tosses another near by car.

Reggie's face couldn't hide the surprise he felt when James opened the door. With a grin, he punched James in the shoulder. "You've got to give me more credit than that James. I did all the jail break jobs, come on. I can break out of anything. I thought you bailed on this a long time ago though?" He could feel the tug of Velocity on his coat. "Oh jeez sorry. Uh James, Velocity, Velocity, James." He turned to her with a grin. "James is a good friend of mine. Used to pull all sorts of shit before I went in." He turned back to James. "Look man, we're in a bind here." He lifted up the flap of his coat and revealed the bandages. "I'm kinda messed up, me and Red here just busted out of the labs and Felix still owes me some favors. Think you could get him for me?"

Velocity inspected James suspiciously, biting her lip and then looking down and away from the stranger. "Yeah, how you doing..." She mumbled, keeping behind Reggie and not completely trusting of this guy yet. This whole place, it radiated with happiness, warm feelings and pleasantries. It was... Suspicious. She had been so used to the cold, dark, scary places, that coming across somewhere that may be safe was extremely strange to her, making her almost want to quickly dash away and get the hell out of there before something weird happened. But... too late. She jumped when a car was thrashed into the warehouse and looked to one side, her eyes narrowing slightly at a man in the distance. She grimaced. That almost hit herself and Reggie! She bit down on her lip, but before she could help herself, she dashed off towards the figure, ramming herself into him. "PISS OFF!" she yelled, officially outraged.

Surprised Reggie acctually had some one with him, James smiled politely " Hello Velocity," Before moving out of the door way, " Mr. F is busy, but you two can come on in and I'll take a look at that.." he points at Reggie's injury. James wasn't remotely surprised that Reggie had started the break out, it was right up his alley. What surprised him was the fact that he broke other people out with him, it just wasn't his style. His shock grew greatly when a car was thrown in to the building and Velocity ran at super speed in to a man. " Reggie, set him on fire." he says softly focusing on boosting his powers.

Ira peeked around the corner, the people who James was talking to, she really didn't like strangers. They often spoke loudly and scared her. And when the building started to shake her eyes widen and she runs down the hall looking for her father.

Without X realizing it he must thrown a car into where they where hinding. as the girl slams into his send him sliding back a little X would calmly look at the girl. his HUD would light up and begin to beep witch was indicated she was one of the escapees. a large smile would appear on his face, " like a lamb to the slaughter" there was to heartbeats he was chasing but he found one of them so the other can be far. " i was afraid i lost you, glad to know your not to bight." he would hold out his hand "now we have wasted enough time i will let you chose. option one you come with me and you will have no cuts and bruises ,you wont be bleeding or have broken bones or. option two the opposite of option one." as he begins to laugh". "we both know you are weak and fighting me will not end very well for you" as he looks at her coldly "im sure they will take your dead body just as well as you alive we both know you are going back its up to you how."

Velocity groaned, eyes constantly narrowed in a glare. "You talk too much." She commented, throwing her fist at his jaw and then within a second darting around behind him and shoving her boot deep into his coccyx, before swiping her foot against his legs, trying to knock him off his feet. "I'm not going back, whether you want me to or not." She reappeared about five feet away from him, fists tensed up and her face red in anger. "You act too calm for my liking. And nobody calls me a lamb." she kicked her boot up into his balls, managing to smirk a little. "I'm an abomination." She tilted her head up to him. "And that's just how you want me."
