So I'm wondering, ya'll, if any of ya play it, does it run smoothly/on the level of WoW on Dial-up? If so, I'ma probably get it.

I do believe that CoH/CoV are based on an earlier version of a graphics card than WoW. So by all rights they should run okay if you can WoW smoothly.

More on terms of the networking speed: It depends on what protocol and network stack they used to make the game. I'm personally not familiar with it... but I KNOW that there are ways to emulate a high-speed connection on dialup: maybe not download speed, but reliability.

I just can't think of the program right now.

There's something in Windows called QoS (quality of service) that can help. I'd say it's worth a buy: If your graphics card can support it, you're good.

To confirm Eric's statement, works great on Dial-Up.

Damn. I remember doing the 14 day trial back in June of last year for City of Heroes. I had time back then, and I spent those 14 days hardcore style from like morning to night. I swear those two weeks were dedicated to nothing else but savoring each moment.

Bah, I wish I could do this, but right now it would be catastrophic if I went through that kind of thing again.
