I imagine Aelin's a Vaporeon because she liked the look of the water stone. XD But what is it with Eeveelutions and being the favorites of trainers? XD

Well, the Eeveelutions are good battlers too. I see Umbreon on some teams in conpetitive, probably a defender and a Foul Player. Sometimes you just like them because they're adorable or for Contests (Raito.). What I don't understand is why people automatically think you're a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu if you have an Eeveelution or a Shiny. I mean, they're rare but if they're not the focal point of the story, then why think that it's auto-Sue?

Maybe it's because Eeveelutions are everywhere in fanfics and people are sick of them. I know when Masami gets to sixth gen, she's going to have a Sylveon. First gen is regular Eevee, second is Espeon, third is Flareon, fourth is a Leafeon and not sure about fifth gen. Come at me with the Mary Sue comments, Internet! XD

Speaking of, I saw a sad picture of Sylveon. It was being yelled at by its Trainer that "What the hell?! I wanted an Umbreon! Not this stupid, girly thing! I didn't raise you to be like that!!" :(

Aw... Poor Sylveon... I actually wanted a Sylveon but never tried raising one until now. But the idea that Sylveons can be male is badass and funny. XD But I really do hate it when newer Pokemon get hate.

I dislike Gen-oners. I was calmly browsing a picture that dictates what the best things about Aggron are and all I see in the comments are: "ONLY THE ORIGINAL 151 WAS LEGIT" and shit. Ugh.

Yeah, Gen one was not the best generation. The game is archaic and the Pokemon while memorable are not great in terms of creativity. (Seel and Lickitung come to mind) But no one can shut up about it and it's fucking annoying.

Aww...I find Seel cute. But when Gen-oners complain about Pokemon losing ideas, just shove Krabby in their face. Krabby is basically a crab with a different shell.

And Seep is... well a seal. XD And Lickitung is scary as hell. T-T

Lickitung, Machamp and Hypno are H-material Pokemon. ._.

Well, it's our college week so regular classes are temporarily suspended. Bad start though. Float was bad, our other actors got sick, only half of the costumes were completed before the parade. Meh...Just went home afterwards.

Variation 4: Something new, something old
(Featured Pokemon: Jolteon and Ninetales)

Celadon City. A beautiful city, known for having a fresh, natural atmosphere despite the modernized institutions, it is also the location of Erika’s Gym. Once, there was a Game Corner which, according to some people, stains the image of the city but it has since been renovated to adapt to the image the city is persevering to maintain.

”Thanks for the meal sir!” Rin thanks the shopkeeper as she departs for her next destination. She arrived in the city a week ago to challenge and document the Pokemon found in the fourth Gym but had to stay for a while since the monthly Pokemon Photography Exhibit is starting tomorrow. As such, she had to stay in while doing some training to ease the passage of time.

”Now then…should I visit Erika again? I may be intruding too much if I do though---huh?” Rin spotted two familiar figures near the entrance of the Celadon Gym while she was walking close by. She walked closer, managing to catch glimpses of their conversation as she does.

”This is bad…What do we do Shirou?!”

”Calm down! The guards may overhear us and throw us out again! We’ll need to think of a new game plan…Damn, I hate to admit this but…Kanzaki…we may have to cross-dress…”

”W-what! No way! Come on, have you no sense of man’s honor?!”

”Hel-l-oo~ I can hear everything~” The two boys spun around and saw Rin behind them, playfully teasing the two boys.

”W-wha—Rin?” Shirou exclaimed in surprise.

”H-hey—Aoyama…what brings you here?” Kanzaki replies but was unable to look at Rin directly. Needless to say, Rin was rather amused with this.

”Heehee, just passing through~” Rin giggled. The two were rather embarrassed but, she was a friend of sorts so it was all okay for Rin. ”Having trouble entering the gym I see~”

”A-anyway Aoyama! Have you gotten the badge from this Gym yet?” Kanzaki tries to shift the topic to something else. ”I-If you want, let’s all schedule a challenge together!”

Rin simply smiled and brought out her badge case, revealing the shiny and colorful Rainbow Badge inside. ”Ta-da!!!”

”SHIT!!!” Shirou cursed out loud.

”DAMN IT!!!” Kanzaki echoes the sentiment.

“Hey, what’s with all the ruckus outside? I’m trying to take a rest in—oh!” Out of the blue, the Gym Leader, Erika peeked from the open windows of the Gym, spotting the three Trainers outside. “Oh, Rin-chan! Good afternoon!”

”Good afternoon, Erika-san! How fare the plants?” Rin greeted, while the two boys continued to sulk around the corner. The two caught the attention of Erika, who frowned upon seeing them.

“Hey, you two were the vagrants I kicked out a few minutes ago! Rin-chan, do you know these two?” The Gym leader asked puzzled. Rin gave the two a cursory glance and answered back.

”Who, these two? I’ve never even known them! I only met them a few minutes ago~” Rin teased the two some more.

”RIN!!!”

”WHAT WAS THAT FOR???!!!”

“I see. Hey, I know! Come inside for a while. I have something to show you. Come on, come on!” The Gym Leader motioned for Rin to come inside the gym. She bids the two depressed boys goodbye as she enters the gym with ease.

”Well, there’s no choice.” Shirou sighed, picking up all his items.

”Kanzaki, I’m going to browse some clothes and apparel and…maybe some cosmetics…” Shirou’s voice trailed off at the last part though.

”R-really? Man, can’t we just wear a wig?” Kanzaki follows Shirou to the Celadon Department Store, making sure to keep their hoods on.


Inside the Gym, Erika escorted Rin around, as they walked to the most comfortable spot in the middle, smack dab among Erika’s Grass Pokemon. Now that she’s had her mischief, Rin decided to set things right.

”What I said earlier…those two are actually friends of mine so, if it’s okay, can I book their schedule for them?” Rin asks Erika.

“Of course! I actually knew but, I can tell that you just wanted to mess up a bit. Come on, sit down.” Erika urges her to take the same position she was. “I heard you’ll be entering in the exhibit tomorrow? Feeling a bit nervous?”

”I guess…I believe I’m more of a photographer than I am a Trainer so…no offense but I feel more nervous for the exhibit rather than any Gym battle I had so far.” Rin confessed.

“Well then, this should help you relax. Just lie down here and take in the sights and smells of the wind from the Grass types.” Erika lay down on the bed laid out there, motioning for Rin to do the same. “I always present this offer to any female competitor.”

”Really? Thanks!” The two continued chatting up a bit, just relaxing without thinking of the big day ahead. Soon, the winds and fragrance were picking up, turning it into a very relaxing and comfortable place. ”Ms. Erika, you’re right. It really is relaxing!” Rin exclaimed but got no reply. Turning around, she saw that the Gym leader had already dozed off. ”Relax huh? Well, don’t mind if I do~” With that, Rin also rested up for the day ahead.

Sometime in the middle of her rest, she was woken up by her phone vibrating. She temporarily rubbed sleep out of her eyes and answered the phone. Apparently, it was her mother.

”Oh hey mom! Glad you could call!”

“Rin! I heard you entered in the monthly Celadon Exhibit?” Rin’s mom asked enthusiastically.

”Yeah. Being a photographer is still my true calling, I guess? That’s not to say I’ve not grown much as a Trainer. I’m still rather average but…I like to think that I’m improving bit by bit.” Rin shifts into an upright sitting position, checking to see if they were bothering Erika’s sleep.

“That’s okay honey, I understand. More importantly, will it be shown on TV? What channel will it be on?”

”Ummm…Channel 9, I think? Anyway, why do you ask?”

“Of course, I want to see the work of my own daughter! Oh, that reminds me—do you have any formal attire for the exhibit?” Her mom asks, sounding a little concerned.

”Won’t my usual attire work?” Rin checks out her slacks and black shirt.

“It’s a formal event Rin so, you’ll need a dress. You’re near Celadon Department Store, why don’t you buy one? I’ll send you money so don’t worry. Give me around…fifteen minutes, promise.” With that, her mom hanged up.

”Well then, let’s do some shopping!” Rin got up and stretched. Leaving her other things in the Gym, she headed out.


Compared to other Pokemon Markets, the Celadon Department Store was huge, featuring lots of wares for Trainers and the non-Pokemon residents alike. Rin walked over to the fourth floor, where gift shops for Trainers were located, and clothes and apparel for humans were.

”Let’s see…I’m not sure I feel comfortable wearing a dress that reveals too much skin…” Rin browsed through the selection up front. Finding none that strikes her fancy, she moved on to the next stall, where she collided with another person. ”Oh excuse me!”

“N-no, it’s okay…Ah!” The girl looked up at Rin, surprised at who it was. Likewise, Rin was also surprised to see her. “Rin…”

”Nina! So you were here all along?” Rin asked, due to not having seen her old partner for a while. Still, it didn’t seem as if Nina felt the same excitement, immediately running off to a different stall. ”Hey, Nina!” Rin ran after her, hoping to catch up. She was able to, immediately placing her hand on her shoulders to stop her from moving.

“W-what do you want?” Nina asked, in a manner that can only be seen as annoyed.

”I just wanted to ask you a few things. You got a story to cover, why didn’t you call me? All the other people at the office were—“

“What concern do you still have for the office? You’re fired aren’t you?” Nina asked, hoping to detract from the question.

”More like let off early—Hey! Don’t change the subject! Why haven’t you been contacting me for the last few months? I was your partner after—“

“It’s because you were holding me back…” The words struck Rin hard. She wasn’t expecting this kind of reply.

”Nina?” Rin could only ask in confusion.

“I was supposed to be promoted…then you had to come along and I was forced to partner with you. My promotion got delayed since they deliberated whether to promote you instead of me after reading through your works. Imagine that? A trainee immediately was exceeding her own senior?” Nina seemed to be saying all this with a deep resentment towards Rin. “I could accept it. Honestly. But then you kept on going on like all of this is a game. You didn’t take this job seriously. How do you think this made me feel?”

”That’s--!” Rin gritted her teeth as she looked downcast, unable to maintain her composure.

“So when Elzam came along, I immediately asked to be transferred with him. I didn’t tell you since I knew that you’ll be let off anyway. Besides, you’re better off not knowing. If only you didn’t see me here, this could’ve—“

Slap!

Nina stood in shock as a sudden revelation hit her in the face. Literally. She could only feel her cheeks as Rin brings her hand down to her sides, trying hard to resist hitting her again.

”I suppose you’re right… I can’t blame you can I? You just took the opportunity. I can’t really—Damn it Nina! Sorry if my very existence made you feel insecure but if our bosses doubted about promoting you because of me then doesn’t make all of this your fault?!” Rin snapped, yelling at her old friend. ”And I held you back? Don’t you dare blame me for your own shortcomings! I’ll be going now! I have an exhibit to attend and I don’t have time to waste on a backstabber like you.” She calmed down afterwards and headed away, leaving a dumbstruck Nina on one of the mall aisles.


Rin decided to sit down near the fountain to cool her head off, after buying a dress and having that heated conversation with Nina. She wondered if it was right to just yell at her out of the blue like that. Part of her resented it but part of her also thinks it was just right.

”I really lost my cool back there. I think I’ll apologize again if I see her next time.” Rin sighed.

Rin turned around upon hearing a familiar sound. She saw a girl, garbed in black, with her phone raised towards her. She was facing Rin so Rin could only assume that this girl took a photo of her. Slowly, she began walking away.

”H-hey…! Wait a minute!” Rin immediately ran after her, managing to catch up since she walked rather slowly. ”Why were you taking…?”

”Because I don’t want to forget…” The girl answered back before Rin could finish. She brought out her phone and checked the photo again. ”Oh…I got you in it. Do you want me to delete it?”

”Huh?” Rin was rather shocked at the girl’s answer. ”O-oh, it’s fine. It was unintentional anyway.” Rin simply shrugged it off.

”Do you…not like it when people take pictures of you?” The girl asked again. Rin knew that she had some explaining to do. She doesn’t even understand it herself. Why she went out to chase this stranger.

”Not really. I guess I was just curious.” Rin tried to explain her side.

”Curious?”

”Why you thought of photographing me. But you didn’t so—“

Before Rin could finish again, the lady stranger took another shot. This time, Rin really was her subject.
”Hey!” Rin protested.

”You said you liked having your picture taken…” The stranger explains.

”Okay…” Rin breathes in before explaining. ”I don’t like it but I don’t dislike it either. Earlier, I was just curious why anyone would photograph me out of the blue like that but since you didn’t, that cleared things up. Understand?”

”Umm… So…do you want me to delete it?” The lady asked. Rin could only sigh in defeat. She decided to just leave the lady alone and walk away.

”Do whatever you want… I give up. Sorry for bothering you.” Rin waved goodbye as she headed back to the Celadon Gym to prepare. The lady waved back although Rin couldn’t see it anymore and glanced back at her phone.

”Did I upset her?” The girl stared at the picture she took. It wasn’t anything awkward or indecent. Still… Her fingers hovered on the keypad, right on top of the delete button.
”It’s a good picture though…”


The morning of the exhibit finally came. People who were interested were coming in and out, checking out all the displays inside the building. The invited photographers were given some sort of party, on the same floor as the display hall as well. Since it was full of strangers, Rin felt uneasy being in the event.

”What I wouldn’t give for either Shirou or Kanzaki to show up…The atmosphere here feels so tense.” Rin looked around. Most of the invited people were already adults with big names in the industry. Only a handful looked to be around her age.

”Are you Rin Aoyama by any chance?” Rin looked up to see a rather tall guy approach her, carrying a glass in his hand. He dressed neatly though his hair is rather long and he just gave off this rebel aura to him.

”Umm…Who’s asking?” Rin wasn’t too keen on revealing herself unless she knows it’s safe to do so.

”Elzam Steiner. Photographer for the Viridian Publication and Nina’s new partner.” He introduced himself in a rather formal way, accompanying it with a small bow.

”You’re Elzam? Heard you were quite a big shot.” Rin kept her gaze away, remembering the squabble she had with Nina the night before.

”They exaggerate.” He seemed to shrug it off though he retained a smug and expressionless tone on him. ”I heard what happened with Nina.”

”So as her white knight, you came to see the evil wench who slapped her on the cheek right?” Rin talked back, intentionally saying that rude statement.

”There’s no need for this needless aggression—I’m not here to get back at you for Nina’s sake. I’m merely here to explain and, to request something from you.” Elzam motioned for Rin to come over to his table so they can continue their conversation more comfortably. Rin didn’t like it though. Some people were staring at them, thinking about what they had between them.

”H-hey? Isn’t this kind of awkward?” Rin asked Elzam before he continues.
”I don’t particularly care what people think. Anyway, when Nina came back to our room last night, she avoided me immediately, even when I asked what was wrong. She wouldn’t show it but, she seemed to be crying. I forced her to tell me and—“

”You forced her?”

”Yes but not in a harsh way mind you. Then she told me about you and what happened. She was really hurt when you called her an opportunistic backstabber.” Elzam explained.

”And you think I wasn’t hurt when she blamed all her insecurities on me and dumped me for you?” Rin retorted yet again.

”I don’t know how you feel so I can’t speak for you but Nina is rather fragile. She doesn’t really have the most virtuous of traits and like you said, she does have insecurity issues. Believe me. She projects it on me as well. But that’s why I request that you try to understand Nina a bit more. She’s not strong like you.”

”Isn’t that unfair for me?”

”Yes. I know. Yet I still ask anyway. She doesn’t have too many friends and I don’t think she’ll be fine if she loses the only one she’s ever had because of her own inferiority complex. So please…don’t hate her.” It was a bit odd. Elzam said all of these with a straight face yet Rin could feel the concern he has for Nina. In a way it made Rin felt a bit jealous. She doesn’t have anyone like Elzam who can accept her despite her flaws.

”I understand. You do have some nice insights, Mr. Steiner. Don’t worry; I’m not the type of girl who holds grudges for long.” Rin simply sighed and got up, smiling back at Elzam. ”Tell Nina I’m sorry for hitting her. I don’t think I’m confident enough to see her face to face right now.”

”I will. Thank you for understanding.”


After that little talk with Elzam, Rin headed back to her spot at the exhibit where a familiar lady already stood there. A lady garbed in black, carrying a phone and taking pictures everywhere.

”Yo!” Rin placed her hand on the lady’s shoulder, surprising her.
”What brings you here?”

”Umm…who are you again?” The lady asked, a little confused.

”Huh? Ahahaha…oh right, I’m all fixed up to look decent.” Rin giggled at the lady’s question. ”I’m the girl last night remember?”

The lady immediately browsed through her phone, looking for some pictures. When she found the one, she immediately showed it to Rin who confirmed it.

”What are you doing here?” The lady asked Rin.

”Ah! Well, this stall exhibits my works. We’re required to be present if we want to win the award so, there’s that. How about you?” Rin replied and asked.

”I just followed the crowd…” The answer was a bit of a surprise but Rin thought that maybe it’s because she was a foreigner—someone who isn’t native to this region.

”R-Rin Aoyama?” The lady tried reading the name on the nameplate, catching Rin’s attention again.

”Yep, that’s me. My name’s Aoyama. Aoyama Rin but you can call me Rin, everyone else does. How about you?” Rin raises her hand as a friendly gesture.

”My name is…Shirin. Hisui Shirin.” Oddly enough, Shirin also reached down for Rin’s hand but didn’t shake it. Instead, she seemed to inspect it thoroughly, like some kind of fortune teller.

”Ms. Shirin? What are you doing?” Rin asked.

”You’re a good person…I think. I can feel it.” Shirin muttered. What she meant by that, Rin didn’t know.

”Excuse me miss? You’re Aoyama Rin right?” Both Rin and Shirin glanced at the direction of the voice which was apparently coming from a man who seemed older than them but not as old as the other people and participants inside.

”Umm…who’s asking?” Rin asked the same thing she asked Elzam since this guy appeared shadier than him.

”My name is Dharc. I saw your photograph of Mew. See, I also gather information on these so-called legends of the Pokemon world and I was wondering if I can…well, get a copy?” The guy explained, as well as requested.

”Hey…you’re not going to be using it to sell something aren’t you?” Rin asks accusingly.

”Please miss? Do I really look that suspicious?” The guy named Dharc asked. Rin took a second look at him. Fedora hat, ragged looking trench coat and pants and a name that sounds like an alias.

”Oh you have no idea…” Rin muttered to herself.

“AAAAHHHH!!!!” Almost all of them were startled when one woman screamed. All people turned to look at the reason why and suddenly, a bunch of bikers came crashing through the glass doors with their bikes. They rode around inside and started harassing the guests and participants.

”Stay back Shirin…” Rin backed away, keeping Shirin behind her.

“Hey! Throwing a party like this without even inviting us? What kind of selfish pricks are you?” A large man who seemed to be their leader asked as he alighted from his bike. Most of the guests were intimidated so no one was saying a word. “Damn! A party with the cheer of a graveyard. Okay, let me get straight to the point: Someone picked a fight with a bunch of our guys last night. Heard he went coming down here so—which one of you cowards was it?”

”Shirin!” Rin exclaimed in shock when Shirin nonchalantly took a photo of the gang leader.

”Is it bad?” Shirin asked as the leader made his way towards them.

”Of course!”

“Hey! Girl in black and girl in glasses! What do you two think you’re doing?” He shouted at the two, prompting Rin to step in to defend Shirin. “Taking pictures of me…what are you gonna do?! Take it to the police?!” The man simply pushed Rin aside and cornered Shirin along with some other guys.

”Are you upset? Shall I delete it?” Oddly enough, Shirin didn’t seem too panicked about the fact that she’s already cornered by three guys.

“Hey boss? This girl’s not half-bad.” One of the men laughed.

“Oh don’t worry about it. We’re not upset.” The leader laughed as well as he reached in for Shirin’s phone. “In fact, why don’t we take pictures of your beautiful body instead, eh?”

Slap!

Everyone cried out in shock when Shirin slapped the man and kept her phone away from him. The leader was enraged at this and decided to get rougher on her.

“You little shit!” He was about to grab her by the collar when he heard a low growling behind him. As he looked back, a slender canine-like Pokemon pounced at him, positioning itself between him and Shirin.

”That is enough! Barbarians like you aren’t invited to a fine festivity as this. Oh, and leave the girl alone!” Elzam Steiner had interfered, sending out his Ninetales to assist him, its tails swaying furiously as it glared daggers at the bikers.

“Oh I’m scared alright.” The leader laughed sarcastically. “So pretty boy and his little bitch think they can take us on his own huh?”

”Haruki! Come out!” Rin also threw her Pokemon to assist Elzam’s Ninetales. A yellow, spiked quadrupedal Pokemon came out, growling at the enemy bikers. ”I don’t care who you guys are but nobody pushes me around!”

“Jolteon huh? Hey, I push whoever I want to so shut your mouth!” The biker leader sent out Tentacruel. One of the members sent out a Marowak to assist. The four Pokemon circled and had a standoff against each other first before the shots started firing.

“Bubblebeam!” Although it finds it difficult to move around on the ground, the leader’s Tentacruel saw no problem attacking using ranged attacks, aiming the concentrated stream on the fox Pokemon.

”Pin Missile!” Rin commanded Jolteon, firing needle projectiles at the same rate as the opposing Tentacruel’s Bubblebeam.

“Boss! Marowak, use Bonemerang on that Jolteon!” The member swooped in to assist with Marowak preparing to throw its club on Jolteon.

”Will-o-wisp!” Ninetales stepped in and shot a ball of ghostly fire on Marowak. While it didn’t last too long, it left Marowak with a severe burn. ”Now!”

”Haruki! Thunderbolt!” Jolteon leaped into the air, staring intently at Tentacruel. Her fur stiffened, generating charges and launched it at Tentacruel’s position. For a moment, it might have seemed to be a great idea but the lightning suddenly steered clear and hit Marowak instead.

”W-what’s going on?” Rin and Jolteon were equally shocked.

”So this Marowak has Lightning Rod? That explains it.” Elzam explains.
”While that Marowak is up and about, it will continue to absorb your lightning attacks. Since it’s a Ground type, the damage is only nullified.”

“Right? Tentacruel use Constrict!” The leader roared, his Tentacruel propelling itself on Jolteon.

”Dodge and counter with Quick Attack!” Jolteon managed to dodge but was soon stopped by Marowak.

“Bone Club!” Raising its mean looking club, Marowak hits Jolteon hard, sending it crashing on a wall.
“Boss!”

“Bubblebeam!” With Jolteon out of the way, nothing was left to stop Tentacruel from attacking Ninetales, hitting it and forcing it back using a concentrated stream of bubbles. Ninetales was also knocked back beside Jolteon, who struggled to get up.

“Tch! Don’t know when to give up, do you?! Hey, finish this!” The boss urged his member on.

“Okay boss! Marowak, use Fire Blast!” Marowak spun its club around, generating powerful flames and launched it in the shape of a star directly at Jolteon.

”Haruki!” Rin cried out in panic.

”Ninetales! Quick!” Elzam managed to issue a command to Ninetales who got in the way of the Fire Blast. The resulting explosion shocked the crowd, damaging some parts of the exhibit in the process.

“And that settles it.” The leader boomed in pride. As he was about to make Tentacruel return, he heard Elzam’s voice.

”Not yet… You people aren’t the only ones who can make use of their Pokemon’s abilities.” A soft yet angry growling echoed. When they looked back, everyone saw Ninetales, eyes ablaze with rage and tails swaying furiously in the wind.

“D-Don’t tell me--?” The leader stepped back in shock. “Flash Fire?”

”Yeah. And I have a full payload to burn!” Elzam stepped forward, his voice rising for the first time. ”Ninetales! Overheat!” Ninetales howled and breathed a powerful flame possessing more intensity than Fire Blast, powered by absorbing the blast from Marowak’s earlier attack. And of course, the intended target of the attack was Marowak.

“Marowak!” The member cried out as his Marowak fell to Ninetales’ flames.

”Aoyama! The rest is up to you! Finish it!” Elzam passes the job onto Rin and Jolteon, the effects of Overheat taking its toll on Ninetales.

”Okay! Haruki! Thunderbolt!” Again Jolteon leapt up and fired a stream of electricity on Tentacruel, effectively ending the battle.

“N-no way…” The biker leader couldn’t believe that he was defeated. “But—this isn’t the end of this! Guys!” The members, although a bit reluctant, all sent out their Pokemon, surrounding Rin and Elzam. “Okay then nerdy girl and pretty boy, think you can take on all of my boys?!”

“S-shut up!” One of the guests sends out his as well. This act soon garnered enough attention of the others. Soon, all of the guests also sent out theirs, rivalling the biker’s army in size.

“Just leave us alone!” One woman cried out.

“You people aren’t welcome here!”

“Freeze! Give it up! We have you surrounded!” Booming voices from the outside caught everyone’s attention. The police had also arrived at the scene.

“Boss! We can’t fight off these guests and the police all at once!” One of the members cried out in panic. The biker leader can only grit his teeth and accept his fate.

“Damn!”


With the exhibit getting disrupted, the organizers decided to just postpone the event until they can fix the mess. Rin checked up on Shirin who immediately embraced her.

”H-hey Shirin?” Rin felt a little awkward when Shirin embraced her.

”Are you—okay? Did those bad men hurt you?” Shirin asked, finally letting go of Rin.

”Well, Haruki’s a bit shaken up but otherwise we’re fine. Although…” Rin looked at herself in the mirror. ”Hehe…I could use some fixing up right now.” Rin noted her messy hair and clothes. ”By the way…where did that Dharc guy go?”

”Huh?” Shirin was also surprised. The two girls glanced around, trying to look for him but, they weren’t able to find him. Unknown to them, outside, the stranger named Dharc walked down the street, passing by the checkpoint and headed to the next city over.

”Whew…I thought I had to intervene and finish what I started. Guess those people are quite good too…Rin, I’ll definitely come back for that image. Until then, keep looking forward to it!” Dharc muttered to himself before sprinting off.


“AAAAAHHHH!!! Rin! What happened?!” Erika cried out in shock when she saw Rin get back, looking all ragged like she had just crossed a war zone.

”Hi Erika! Just got into a little argument with some bikers down at the exhibit hall…” Rin could only laugh but Erika immediately pushed her to a room.

“You can tell me everything later. Right now, you need to get changed.” Erika left with her clear instructions. Rin did as she was told. After a few minutes, Rin had gotten back to her usual black slacks and black shirt attire, fixing her raven hair in front of the mirror. When all that was done, she put on her glasses again and headed out to the Gym lobby where Erika was waiting.

”Well? How do I look?” Rin asked Erika, who gave her a good look.

“Acceptably normal.” Erika teased as she got up.

”How long will you keep us waiting?” Rin turned to the direction of the voice. She recognized it as Kanzaki’s but when she turned around, she saw a long haired girl wearing a corporate attire and another girl, this time with long black hair. She was dressed in Shirou’s jacket but was wearing a blue skirt and heels instead.

”Wait…Shirou? Kanzaki?” Rin tried containing her laughter as she saw the two boys’ “cosplay”. ”You look…dashing.”

”Rin…just…don’t…” Shirou couldn’t seem to find the way to face her while Kanzaki seemed to be okay with the whole idea.

”Hey! If it wasn’t for that dumb rule, this wouldn’t be a problem!” Kanzaki tried to explain while still maintaining his composure. ”Since you won’t help us with our problems, me and Shirou took on the task of finding a way ourselves! Right Shirou! Shirou?” Kanzaki turned to look for Shirou and saw him, looking completely shocked and speechless at the match schedule.

”Umm…” Rin tried looking for the right words to explain but she still can’t contain her laughter.

“Rin already registered you both…You guys didn’t need to dress up like that…” Erika breaks the news down to them but they can only stare in shock at the schedule listing.

Variation 4 complete! At this point, only Nina's a new face. I don't have anything big or special planned for her to be honest but, at least she was already mentioned in Variation 1 so she's not thrown in without warning. Oh and yes, Shirin's in this chapter as well. Although due to this, Awakening of Lords is no longer followed but, at least Dharc's no longer in a coma.

@Saya Amazing work as always~ I can kind of relate to Nina's insecurities of everyone being better than her but Rin is right. You should work hard to make yourself stronger and better. Also, Shirou is just cracking me up along with Kyouma. XD Glad to see Dharc isn't in a coma thanks to Shirin's appearance. Lord knows we all had a mini panic attack there. Still, I'll be looking forward to the next installment~

@Aeli-chan Glad you like it~ Nina is more of a shout-out to something that annoys me in real life mainly: people who are only there when they need you but absent from all other stuff.

Remember when I mentioned that we had to make a human sized Gundam out of scrap for one of our projects last year? We were divided into groups and assigned to different parts so we can finish faster. The first guy to approach me was someone who I wasn't really close with. We don't even nod at each other when we pass each other outside the classroom halls. I already thought that he wanted me on his group since everyone knows that I build Gundam models. Fast forward a bit, the next project was an ATV. Again, we were still supposed to do it as a group and almost everyone retained the old groups that worked on the Gundam. Guess what? Same guy dropped me and took another classmate; this time, someone who's knowledgeable on cars. Since I was absent and everyone grouped without me (your own friends forgetting you is quite depressing), the only person I can group myself with was an irregular student who doesn't really have a good track record. Or I could do it alone. Thankfully, professor managed to sense my frustration and told me that I can just do the project alone but he will reduce my workload from an entire ATV to just the foot guards. A big middle finger to all others who didn't include me in any of their groups.

Then, a few days ago, one semester later, on our Social Teachings class: Our final exam was to prepare a report on some of the most distressing issues at hand. We have to group ourselves into five and choose a topic... Not to be arrogant or anything but during the course of the semester, I actually excelled in our minor subjects namely Literature and Social Teachings (even if I hate our professor here) especially when it comes to presentations. Our group was known for actually putting effort and pulling through with great results. That's why we've retained the same three members all the time. Then, on this report, the three of us decides to stick along for one last ride and guess what? SAME F***ING GUY asked to join our group. Everyone is cool with it except me since you know? THIS GUY KICKED ME OUT OF A GROUP WHEN HE DETERMINED THAT I WON'T BE ABLE TO DO SHIT!!! And now he's asking to join our group knowing that it is our forte. In the end, I'm stuck with him since I no longer voiced out my opposition. Cause even if I did, everyone will just think I'm whining and I'm letting my emotional frustrations cloud my judgement.

So yeah...Long origin story for Nina's character right? I mostly just have this tendency to write situations where some of my frustrations seep into the other characters. The part where Rin and Nina were still supposedly "friends" is that because well, my own friends sometimes act the same way. Instead of feeling happy when you excel, they say stuff like "your model base is too easy", "the topic was your forte" etc. But, you just bear with it since they're your friends after all.

@Scythe Hypno? Machamp? Oh sh*t... Just wait for it later on.

Anyway, on Pokemon, some are just delegated to their own stereotypes from shallow aesthetic reasons I guess. I mean, what's with people saying that Machamp is the best pair for Gardevoir, like FR's Hammer and Gina (Damn, why did their Gardevoir have to share a name with my favorite female in God Eater?). For me, pairing Gardevoir with a Ghost type is better since you can get a Gallade that can use Taunt and Mean Look for use on Roaming Pokemon.

@Saya Honestly, you shouldn't have to bear that for anyone. If you like your work then be proud of it and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Still, sorry that kind of thing happened to you. Hopefully when the guy shows up again, you can tell him to fuck off and make his own thing for once. Still, I may be lucky. Nothing like that has happened to me. Glad to see that you're doing well despite that. As for Gardevoir, correct me if I'm wrong but I think she can only breed with ghosts. Still, that would be a cool idea to get a Gallade with Taunt and Mean Look.

The Gallade thing was something I stumbled upon on the net. Here:

Please don't mind the language though, you know how netizens curse a lot when it comes to the "overrated, geeky, repetitive, stupid" Pokemon franchise. Anyway, the guide is rather incomplete, at least for me. EV-wise, that Gallade, having Taunt, Mean Look, Hypnosis and False Swipe needs ample Speed and Attack to deal damage. Aside from that, his defenses needs to be high enough to ensure that he won't be OHKO'ed by the roaming Pokemon. Lastly, since he'll be at level 50, the old Repel method won't work so you need to actively hunt down the said Roaming Pokemon.

Still--Move over Beel and Hammer, the Gallade above is the true Legendary hunter (at least as far as roaming Pokemon are concerned)! Still won't get over the fact that FR's Gardevoir is named after one of my favorite 2D females. That reminds me...

@Scythe Remember when I did a simulation against FR? I think I'll do one against their Lucius next (seriously, what's with their backstories?)...

@Saya That made me giggle like a schoolgirl. XD Though, note to self; get a Gallade in the future. I already used Gardevoir in X and she proved to be a powerhouse. Let's see if her brother can do the same~ Though Smeargle can learn those moves too! As well as some powerful moves~ I may catch and use a Smeargle as well. Forget his basic move for a variety of powerful moves~ XD Sorry about Gina... By the way, I'm mad at you for having a Shiny Gardevior. :(

Oh and since you're knowledgeable about angels and demons, FR claimed that the 7 Archangels can't even do shit against Lucifer. Pretty sure Michael overcame him in Revelations though.
