Bella winced as Luke moved to touch her leg and she forced herself to look away as her teeth clentched hard and her eyes shut tight. If only she had learned to deal with pain. That lesson only comes from actually getting hit...which didn't happen very often. Arthurs throw was lucky and accurate to a 'T', this assassin wasn't some petty little boy looking to make a quick buck. No. Arthur was a new breed. Bella knew it just by the fact that she had gotten hurt because of him and that she was the only one to make him bleed, even if it was a small cut. For Sage's sake. Bella hoped the others would find out that this Arthur, was no push over. Noth that she really gave a damn about Sage at the moment, nor would she in the days to come.
Angering Bella and getting on her bitchy side wasn't the best of ideas. Not only can she get angered easily by foolish, boyish acts like Sage's but she hold a grudge against those that have wronged her. Grabbing her weapon, her most prized possession and the only things from her mother was one grudge she would never let go. His words were a bitter reminder of his arrogance, his hateful and selfish ways. All he cared about was himself and she hoped that the others would see it her way. Sage didnt care about anyone else but himself and his father. There was no place in camp for him and as far as Bella was concerned, the world liked him alot better when he was an obsidian pillar. At least he was silent and his arrogance couldn't be displayed, as rocks have no emotions. Fitting for Sage, and Bella chuckled silently to herself at the thought.
Bella looked upon Luke as he finished wrapping and the bleeding had stopped as she felt the rest of her leg go numb. Not only did Nicks magic help but the thought that Luke made it a point to make her feel better gave her comfort. AS he came back up to sit and Argus drove away she felt the ever present weakness of blood loos in her body, weakening her to the point where she could barely stay awake. Her head pounded and the only way to make it stp was to close her eyes, which she did. There was a pain in her back from being flung against the tree by the explosion, only present because her leg was numb.
Bella was a mess, but it could have been worse. Something could have broken in her torso, then she really would have been in trouble. She leaned her head back but the pain in her neck was to much of a stress and she lifted her head back so her neck was straight. She couldn't wait to get home...and lie down on a cot...all the pain fading away. Soon, Bella had fallen asleep sitting perfectly upright, all except for her tensed leg.
