Posting this on behalf of Gasmask. The problem is pretty self-explanatory from the picture. It wants a code, only there's no image with a code for him to put in. Checked it myself with an alt account, and same problem for me.

Alright, I'm posting in this again, due to the large number of people that have been having this issue as of late. If you see the little 'I forgot my password' button, just under where you fill in your password. Click that, then have it reset your password. The new password will be e-mailed to you. After that, you can login and not have to fill in the broken captcha code.

Once that's done, you can reset the password to your old one, in your user settings.

raze13's problem is resolved, though the issue with the captcha code still remains.

Evenin', Otto here, looks like I've fallen victim to the trend, lucky I still have my alt. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but it seems that the get-around isn't wanting to work for me. Initially, it didn't even want to send me an e-mail, saying that things didn't match up, but I got it to work eventually, and it sent me the new password over the mail, and I thought the issue resolved, right?

Well, turns out wrong.

After repeatedly trying with the password sent to me and getting the same response as before I got the new password, I tried again to get a new password, with the same reaction. Third time with a new password didn't prove the charm either. Halp?

Odd, fourth time seemed to be the charm. Anyway, things seem resolved for the moment.

This happened to me twice within a couple of days. Luckily, I had seen this thread, so I knew what to do. I suggest making this an Announcement so that newer users and those who weren't lucky enough to glance at it will know what they ought to do if they have this problem.

For those that are having trouble with resetting their password. Make sure you click the link in the e-mail sent. The one that says you have to click it to activate the new password. If you just grab the password, it wont work. If you do this and it still doesn't work, let me know.

The captcha code should also now function; it would be a good time to verify that you do in fact have a secure password: <strong>pick one greater than 8 characters that has some non-alphanumeric characters in it.</strong>
