Right I'm just gonna create a male character of my own to make up the numbers, then later today I'll make a first post.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE WE START
Firstly I recommend you all make sure you've thoroughly read the intro before posting. If there's any questions or queries about how things work for werewolves in the 'Marked' universe, feel free to ask. What I posted on the intro is just a slightly adjusted copy of what appeared in the last RP, and it developed over time so there's probably more to tell.
Just to add, werewolves are a species in their own right, and are born that way. A werewolf's bite does not bestow the 'curse of lycanthropy'. If you're a wolf, it means both of your parents were also.
MALES - You "recieved your wolf" by the time you hit puberty, so in human form you have a heightened sense of hearing and scent (you'll be able to recognise or locate a person by their scent if they're nearby, and tell who is a human or a wolf...the scent of another wolf will be stronger to you than that of a human), and every once in a while you might feel your wolf is 'speaking to you', though what he says might be fairly cryptic. Don't go overboard with that aspect.
You can shift into wolf form and back at will, but it isn't a silent, smooth, stealthy tranformation. It's awkward, painful, noisy and exhausting. Oh, and of course you don't have magic clothes. Because your size reduces slightly when turning into a wolf, you've learned over time to pop the right buttons, etc, just before shifting so that the clothes aren't torn (might be more difficult if you're wearing something especially tight fitting), but when you transform back into a human, yes, you will be naked. So plan ahead!! Shifting isn't really something you do for fun, and most wolves are happy to just do it the once a month when they are forced to at a full moon, and other than that in emergencies when being in wolf form may help them get to safety.
FEMALES - Since you are all un-mated, you have not recieved your wolves yet. Your wolf soul exists as a latent spirit within you. However, if you're 16 or older, you're at the age when you may start to become aware of your wolf awakening. This happens in order to help you discover your mate. The intro explains how this works, but with regards to your abilities, there are three stages for you:
1 - Not revealed your mate yet. Your senses are no greater than any other human. You have never shifted and cannot do so yet. However, other werewolves who have 'recieved their wolf' WILL be able to identify you as a werewolf by your scent. You will start to feel a certain draw and impulses towards a person, and at some point will become aware that that person is your destined mate. At that point, it is up to you when you tell that person they are your mate.
2 - Told someone they're your mate. Once you do this, things are set in motion that cannot be reversed. You do not have wolf senses yet, but you are more fully aware of your wolf and may feel her speaking to you to warn you of danger, etc. You cannot shift at will yet. You will experience your first shift at the next full moon even if your mate does not accept you. Your mate needs to be with you for this, or you will almost certainly die.
3 - After your first shift. Once you've shifted for the first time, things are the same for you as they are described above for males...except that your perspective on it all will be different because for you it's all kinda new. At the same time, instinct will help you adjust to it all.
HOUSE/COMMUNITY INFORMATION
Mealtimes are always communal. Females tend to take care of the cleaning and cooking...though over the last generation that's gotten a bit lax and people's roles are less defined. There are lots of other house rules - most of the one's you'd except for communal accomodation - but naturally they are frequently broken. Some individuals break the rules more often than others! Wolf or no wolf, these are teens and young adults we're talking about.
All the young people attend the community school, which is down in town and is quite small because, unknown to the human population, it's for werewolves only. All the staff and students there are wolves. Not everyone has the same class schedule.
The wolf residents of Connorsworth are known as the Khöller pack. This is simply named after the alpha family; it's not like every member of the pack is related, there's a healthy gene pool! :)
There are other packs throughout the country, always located around a town and led and named after an alpha.
We've never defined a national setting; this story could be taking place just as easily in the US, Britain or most commonwealths (Canada, South Africa, Australia, etc). Packs are tight communities, but not impenetrable. They grow organically as males and females pair up and have offspring, but they also recieve migrants from other packs, or even lone 'outsiders' as long as they prove themselves to be of good character.
Have a think about how you character came into the pack. Ideally, most of you will be second or third generation, and your parents before you will have lived as part of the Khöller pack, and even spent time in the pack house when they were younger.
@Everscale - Have a think about whether Kiyoshi lived as part of another pack before his parents died, and was maybe sent to live as part of the Khöller pack after the tragedy, and how he reacted to this. Or maybe his mother was a second generation member of the Khöller pack, his father was an outsider who came in (perhaps from Japan...werewolves exist all over the world!) and so Kiyoshi has lived all his life in Connorsford.
@KrazyTigger - Your profile says Anya was not told she was a wolf until she was 14. This would suggest she was raised outside of any pack community. Have a think about why this was, and what the back story is to how she and her family ended up as part of the Khöller pack...or whether maybe her family are elsewhere, and it's only her that moved to Connorsford for whatever reason. You don't necessarily need to type it all out, because after all it may never come up in the story! Just have something prepared in case it does.
I'll post more if I think of anything! Or if you have any questions, shoot!
