I like the way this sounds.

Perhaps you guys could help me out. I have a rough idea of what kind of character I'd like to make, kind of along the lines of a shady corporation representative, who hides the fact that he is also part of the corporation's private military. I was thinking, maybe he's get's onto the ship under the guise of a VIP working for Altamus, and he's supposed to be doing research on just how safe the middle rim is for their business. That or he's working for the Waltz corporation, and he's looking into the disappearance of Elizabeth Waltz.

I'd appreciate some feedback.

I like the private military contractor part. I just want to make it clear to everyone that, characters to the F.S.S. Salient are closed. This is supposed to shift focus away from the Salient, and into more of an open perspective from various people with various allegiances throughout the system. The ship is supposed to be representative of the Federation faction, alongside the planetary governments and militia. The story is supposed to revolve around the Arcturus System, and in that system is an open world free for everyone to be whatever they want to be, as long as it fits under the parameters of a science fiction story.

I got your message, and I replied back regarding more about my character's motivation, along with more information about the organization he works for.

I like to keep everything down to a short summary about certain aspects, because it's often easier to expand onto those areas when certain times call for it.
