Xenos Arielle » Member of team TXIQ
Xenos is not someone most people would associate with. Arrogant to an overbearing degree, confident well past the point of socially acceptable, and condescending to even those who have bested him in the past. Xenos is essentially that person who never believes themselves to be wrong, stubborn to a fault and almost too eager to try and prove people wrong. Being a Faunus has only made his personality stick out more, as people will often times look at him like a second class citizen even though he personally holds himself as if he was royalty. Nose held high, fine clothes and anything less than delicacies for supper lead Xenos to a path that only a select few people could tolerate. He’s lived most of his life in isolation, as far as people close to him goes, and that seems to be the way he prefers it. If not, he puts up one hell of a front for it as he does everything in his power to drive them away. Or maybe he’s not even trying, it’s just who he is. Ultimately, he cares not for the opinions of others unless he specifically asks for them. As far as everyone else is concerned, they’re mere background noise to what will end up being his legend.
Xenos is, by and far, a horrible Faunus to be around. Yet, there are some silver linings to his toxic behaviour, pun intended. While he is stubborn in his decisions and actions, he can, will and has fought to defend them on more than several occasions. He will always back up his claims with either his version of proof or fighting until he physically can’t fight anymore. His drive and dedication to his craft of being a hunter is admirable, almost to the point of being fanatical. He can be seen training at all hours of the day, sweat staining his clothes and firing his weapon of choice until his fingers have coated the string in blood. His determination to not only be the best, but to prove he’s the best is so deeply ingrained into his being that anyone who would dare refute these claims has just earned themselves a duel. Even should he lose, he will train and continue to challenge that person until he eventually beats them or dies himself.
Xenos has few redeeming qualities, unless you asked him himself, in which case he would say there’s nothing wrong with the way he acts. The world simply needs to get its head on straight and realize how great he truly is. Despite this, there are a couple things that pull out a more...compassionate side to him if it could even be called that. First, he admires dedication and determination. If someone can display these traits, he’s more than willing to jump in and aid them should that not prove to be enough, although the person receiving such help will have to tolerate his inevitable bragging about saving said person. He’s also more than willing to help people train, seeing it as a way to gauge other people’s skills as well and constantly improve himself. He’s someone who believes in backing up words with action, and as such will never lie or otherwise fail to do something that he promised to do, even if it means degrading himself. There is nothing more powerful than the bond of a word spoken, and this goes both ways. If someone breaks a promise to him, he will consider that person dead and/or useless and fail to recognize them as anything of worth.
Ultimately, Xenos is a creation of his environment and a mindset twisted to serve a more selfish desire of wanting to not only be better, but ensure everyone knows it. He’s arrogant, overconfident, rude, tactless and ultimately a horrible person to be around. Despite that, he’s a skilled fighter who doesn’t understand the concept of ‘losing’. An amazing person to train with, despite his personality, and one who respects drive more than anything else. A Faunus of his word, he can be relied upon to act exactly as he says without deviation, and ultimately at his core, enjoys being a hunter. While he’s more in it to fight monsters and become the best fighter the world has ever seen, a number of people have seen a slightly softer side to him after defending others. A side that quickly disappears.
Xenos Arielle » Dust Creation
Xenos’ semblance allows him to reform Dust into various forms in order to suit his needs, although this seems to be limited to arrows and the like as those are the only items he seems to create through his Dust Creation ability. These creations attributes are allocated depending on two things: the type of dust used, and the amount of dust used. Unlike other physical objects, in the hands of the creator, Dust creations don’t weigh anything. If he had the necessary amount of dust, he could create an arrow the size of a car and carry it like it wasn’t even there, although such a thing would be impractical without a means of firing it. Theoretically, Xenos could create anything his mind could dream up, but he’s either unwilling or unable to do so.
Unlike other creation type semblances however, Xenos’ ability seems to have a very real physical toll on his body in the form of exhaustion. The amount of stamina drain relies mainly on how fast he’s firing them, how large the creation is, and in some cases, what type of Dust is used. For some reason, fire based Dust seems to have a larger pull than the others but he’s found that he can create a more explosive force with it. There’s also the fact that Xenos requires a supply of Dust to use his semblance at all, so without it he’s basically fighting without an ace in the hole so to speak.
Xenos Arielle » Sunder
Xenos’ weapon of choice is a large composite bow with tensile strength so high that most others who are unaccustomed to using such a weapon can’t hope to use it properly. Firing the bow is a workout in and of itself, although Xenos has practiced day in and day out to ensure he has no such issues with the weapon. Xenos’ is unique in the hunter world in the sense that he doesn’t necessarily have a melee option, as the bow doesn’t transform into anything else. When Xenos crafted the weapon, he decided against having it transform into any kind of close range weapon and instead turned it into as powerful a bow as he could.
The bow is durable and capable of firing arrows like a rocket should Xenos want to. His quiver, attached to his back, is loaded with both standard and utility arrows of his creation. While he can use Dust to essentially create any arrow idea he has, he doesn’t want to rely on his semblance too much in the midst of battle. Anything from standard arrows to explosive to grappling hooks to drill tips can be found in his pouch if he’s given ample time to prepare and gear up. His Quiver also holds several different types of Dust, and as such actually looks more akin to a backpack than an actual quiver.
In a pinch, the bow itself is strong enough to deflect a number of attacks in close quarters, but it’s not meant for such a thing and considering it’s closer in size to a long bow, makes it unwieldy in such a situation. Xenos has also been known to fight with his arrows as if they were small swords as well, but this is a last ditch option as they are not strong enough to withstand most blows nor are they meant to be used in such a manner.
Xenos is also a bird-type Faunus, and while incapable of flight does have feathers growing out of his forearms. He has been known, in a pinch, to rip feathers from his own arms and craft makeshift arrows this way should the situation be desperate enough for it.
