Maya Kenkon

"Dad! Put the pedal to the metal, we're going to be late",Maya exclaimed, poking her father's side with a pencil. They had both forgotten to turn on their alarm clocks the night before and unfortunatley were late. "I'm moving, I'm moving!" The older male grabbed his thermos of coffee and quickly chugged it before slamming his foot down on the gas, causing both them and the car to lurch forward. Maya didn't even let out an 'ouch' as her head slammed against the dashboard, only shaking herself slightly and buckling her seat belt.

After a death defying car ride that broke the laws of gravity and certain traffic rules, they finally made it to school. "Bye Dad!",she chirped, tugging on her book bag and hopping out of the car."Bye bunny" He gave her a large smile and backed the car up, a loud ding echoed throughout the courtyard as he backed into a 'NO Parking' sign. "Whoops",he muttered, glancing around for any witness's before speeding away.

Maya had to glance around herself as well, no one was there. It seemed a bit like a ghost town. That could only mean that she was way beyond bieng late. "Dang it",she hissed as she rushed off, trying to find where she had to go. This was usually a bit of a common occurence for Maya, bieng late for one reason or another. "Oh yeah, there was that orientation thing",she muttered, quickly changing her direction and heading down the hallway to the auditoreum. Taking a deep breath, she slowly opened the door. The brunette didn't want to draw attention to herself, especially to the fact that she was so incredibley late. "So far so good",she mumbled, slinking around in the back. Maya had apparently spoken to soon and ended up catching her coat on an abandoned stack of folding chairs, the metal objects sliding down and slamming against her legs. A crash resounded along with a small curse. Managing to pull herself up, Maya quickly realised that she had definatley drawn attention to herself. "Umm...sorry",she said quickly, untangling herself and pushing the chairs back in their original position." Carry on!" A small smile adorned her face as she slid down in an available seat, trying to push the slightly embarassing situation out of her head.

Akihisa

Akihisa heard the overs talk and simply carried on putting out a few chairs to embarrassed to say anything. He dragged the chairs slowly across the floor displaying his anger and boredom clearly. After he finished putting out some more chairs he sat down and begun to think of a way to introduce himself. "Hey, I'm Akihisa Yoshii and clearly a junior. I don't know anyone here so I guess in the odd one out." ~Why did I have to say Yoshii? Now I sound like a geek. I'm so bad at this!~ Akihisa lifted his legs up onto the chair beside him before he rummaged his hand through his hair to sort it out. ~Wait I get a partner today... Better not be one of these guys.~ Akihisa sat quietly on his chair, observing people as they entered the room from the main hall doors. ~I had so better get a girl...~

His train of thought was interrupted when a man stood in front of them tapping the mic. The man just liked like any other student and could of been one until Akihisa heard him welcome everyone to the school. When he had finished talking Akihisa joined in on the quiet and slow clap. Soon after this Akihisa threw his head into his hands at the sound of the mic falling from the stand. The screeching noise made him cringe but he slowly picked up his head to see some students walking towards the front of the room. As he handed out envelopes with student's pictures on them Akihisa bit his lip. ~Please give mine to a girl! Please...~ As he sat down in his chair Akihisa wondered if he should get up and wait for someone to approach him but instead he just remained seated as he thought he should. ~I didn't even make any lunch... And I bet you have to pay for them here!~ He sighed in realisation of his lack of food and crossed his fingers still hoping for a female partner.

Momo

The senior Kei reacted to her name by wearing a small smile then nodding his head before looking at the other Junior with her. Momo sighed inwardly which perfectly matched her bored expression but inside she was growing nervous by all the noise created inside the crowded hall. It made her feel insecure, noticing some people demonstrate outgoing qualities and being able to socialise so freely while Momo had that need to build a calmer, composed exterior of a shell until she came along the right people she could call good friends. She used to be like that, pretty outgoing and fun to be with but things drastically changed since..that day. Starting at a new school whilst not really knowing anyone.. Varthur of course excluded, at this point was very nerve- racking for her. In previous years when she was young, she had been picked on for her glasses; teased, ridiculed, called names and even beaten up. Probably the reason why that shell was developing so naturally; because she felt she could hardly trust anyone. Behind the glasses and expression displayed on her face in this situation, she was a nervous wreck but she had too much pride to admit it. This year was going to be different.. it just had to be. For one thing she had matured and acted more confident than she truly was which she hoped would keep people from picking on her again in high school. She had secretly been taking up an interest in sports, thinking it would also help develop her physical ability and therefore allowing her to work around a violent situation much better than she had experienced before. Flashing back onto those times made Momo gulp uneasily but other than that, she looked as normal as could be. "Nope, just thought I would introduce myself, though I am sure that introductions of some sort will be taken care of when the pairings are given out." Kei replied to her question as Momo abandoned thoughts of her past to focus on the now, the present. She waited for a while for him to say something or for the other Junior (Akihisa) to finally come around to introducing himself but neither happened. Kei simply nodded before staring off into the distance of the rest of the hall. As the boys were distracted, Momo raised a pumped up fist in front of her chest trying to regain her excitement about her new school. "Ganbatte!" she exclaimed to herself with a bit of enthusiasm, making sure not to overdo it so she wouldn't look crazy talking to herself. "Hey, I'm Akihisa Yoshii and clearly a junior. I don't know anyone here so I guess in the odd one out." Momo looked down at where Akihisa was sitting before she had mentally slapped herself at him saying he was 'clearly' a junior due to her uncertainty about that the first time they talked. he wasn't as tall as the other seniors but there was nothing wrong or dumb with mistaking a junior for a senior right? He had been staring at Varthur for a while suspiciously so.. maybe he's homosexual. Momo pondered secretly to herself though she was only really half joking. She was well aware that just cause a guy stares at another guy.. doesn't lead to that conclusion.. entirely.

"Testing...1...2...3" Eh? Momo turned around fully to face the front of the hall where the stage was spotting a well dressed, dark haired man with the strangest of red coloured eyes standing there by the microphone. Gosh, he reminded her of Itachi from the anime series Naruto. "Welcome Juniors to.. Airdalen High... and Welcome back Seniors to..Airdalen High.. you may clap now." Momo blinked as it was far from the welcome she had originally expected to receive but nonetheless clapped to be polite about it. She could very well guess that the man was a teacher or at least some member of the high school staff yet he hadn't even expressed his name for them to identify him. Wasn't that the norm for first day introductions? As the clapping ended awkwardly as she would say, the man had more to say and it appeared his lack of spirit for the event was unaltering. "As you all know.. or should..know.. this year we're doing things differently with a Junior and Senior..program.. right.. Seniors please come to the front." Momo nodded, though she knew the instruction wasn't directed at her as she was a junior and so she patiently waited for whatever was to come next once in a while looking over her shoulder and at the front. Sitting down was rather tempting after setting up those very chairs. Akihisa was still around just sitting there and for all she knew could be sharing the same set of classes with her but the fact alone that he was a boy made her hesitate so she stayed standing, fidgetting with the ends of her blazer sleeves. At least the weather is fine today.. she drifted in thought to herself rather lonesome. "Maybe my partner will be a girl and we'll get along really well.. like sisters! she added, trying to have a positive outlook as her patience with each passing second grew thin. "Hi again, hope you still remember me. Momo just like the first meeting, nearly toppled over the chairs. She recognised that intimidating voice rather well by now already. "Just in case, I am Kei and I will be your Senior partner..." She raised an eyebrow, overcoming the shock of being assigned to him and thinking carefully on what to say next. Her usual self would've replied with: "You were just here a few minutes ago..." to support that of course, she was able to remember him. Unlike some, she hadn't met all that many people yet so names weren't hard to get a grasp of so far. Preferring to be polite and show some respect to the senior rather than point out the obvious, she instead responded with, "I see. Should we sit somewhere?" she asked, her eyes catching glimpse of the plastic sleeve he was holding before turning around to where Akihisa was. "Hey Akihisa was it? See you later then.. goodluck with your partner." she said before once again coming face to face with Kei. "You should lead the way, I'm not really sure what we're going to do.." she said, even chucking in a few innocent gestures such as a smile and tucking a pink strand of hair behind an ear without meaning to. What is this?! Junioritis? She scolded herself, knowing full well what they were going to do having read every piece of information on the school site relevant to her. Oh well, she figured she'd give the seniors the benefit of the doubt. Information was power afterall.

JACK

The Junior was sitting in the area he'd been instructed to follow, laying his backpack down on his lap, eyes open, and unable to sleep, despite having planned to use it as a pillow. After some amount of time, he was to be discovered by one of the bloody upperclassmen, whom he was to partner up with. As much as he wanted to nap again until the senior arrived, and his energy was restored so he could confront the other students at this new school of his. But that was also his undoing: or at least he thought so because a bit of paranoia kicked in, and Jack didn't want to wake up with something being done to him, perhaps a vile wet willy like in elementary school, being kicked in the stomach while his eyes were closed, getting his wallet stolen, being drawn on his face with markerā€¦Now, he knew this may not happen for sure, but he'd never been to this school before, and it made him all the more cautious being there on his first day.

He thought about the arrows that had led him to this 'waiting area' of sorts, and even saw himself walking onto a huge red 'X' and having an anvil, or a piano dropped on him, like on some of those older cartoons, Tom and Jerry most fitting to his current situation. He'd have been Jerry the mouse, some Senior, likely the one assigned to him, being Tom the cat, and dropping an anvil, or a piano or something onto his head and laughing about it like a smug bastard. Oh, how it was so fun to imagine these sorts of outrageous scenes as explanations to even the littlest things in life, from old beliefs such as the easter bunny really actually being a chicken, or rudolph the red nosed reindeer a terminator sent back in time to kill Santa Claus, before being reprogramed to protect him. Yet These are merely just a few of the thoughts of a fool like Mr. McCoy.

The teen got up a little, and peeked around for someone to come to him, before sitting up on his back to wait, sighing when he looked into the floor, ceiling, and the walls before him, which were reminding him that he was stuck here for another few hours today, and it'd also be his prison for the rest of the week until the weekend, that is unless the school didn't believe in weekends.

"That'd be totally harshā€¦what kind of nut doesn't give us weekends?! When the hell else would we sleep in during the morning and stay up late to play video games or something? Would they still have winter and spring break, or do those just not count?ā€¦I wonder if this school has a mini-cafe with some coffee?ā€¦.I need coffee like, more often so I don't fall asleep like I usually do. I wonder what Grampa has planned when I get home?ā€¦"

The young man's mind began to drift off as he went through various matters which were mostly of little importance...

Moki

It was not long before people started to walk into the hall sporadically. Moki could smell the different musk and perfumes collected amongst the bodies of the students surrounding him. He had a bad habit of not associating himself with others he didn't know very well, he'd perfered to be approached by other people, it just dismissed any awkwardness that might have been brought on his behave. Oddly enough the unexpected happened Silas Fuerst walked in, which made Moki's eyes widened. Out of all of the students at Airdalen High, he didn't expect Silas, THE Silas Fuerst to walk in the room. Ever since Moki saw Silas in his earlier years, Moki had always had a crush on him. The problem was, he never had the courage to speak up on it. He knew, first hand, the dangers of THAT boy, the one who consumed many hearts of Moki's friends. The flirt.

Moki bowed his head, hoping that he wouldn't be seen by the boy. It worked out perfectly, yet, Moki seemed to be invisible by almost everyone who walked in. Little did he care, this was his last year of high school, and he didn't want to go by unnoticed."Hey there, kid." Moki heard from beside him, looking over to the left of him there was a tall student who looked more like a man than anything. The 6'4", 260 pound man-child, put his big beefy arm on the backrest of Moki's chair, as he plopped down beside Moki. His name was Ri, at least that's what he was known as amongst the Gymnastics team, being the biggest member on the team, as well as Moki's so-called 'best friend'. Ri curled his hand around Moki's shoulder, and with his free hand scratched though his buzzed cut hair. Moki pulled his hood over his head in embarrassment."Stop Ri! You're going to attract attention to us!" Moki whispered with hostility in his meek voice.

"C'mon, what's the harm in a little hug action?" Ri pulled Moki closer to him, moving the entire chair. Unlike Moki, Ri was embarrassed by his leotard, and only wore it when he absolutely had too, he usually wore the school uniform like most people."Been there, done that with you," Moki said pushing Ri's arm off of him, and removing his lollipop from his mouth,"We've both moved on from that, remember? Besides, aren't you STRAIGHT now, Hm?" Moki said teasingly, taking the hood off his head, staring up at Ri, getting in his face. Ri only laughed, scratching the dark stubbly hairs on his chin looking up at the ceiling."The term is bi-sexual, Kiki. I like the best of both worlds," Ri said in response with a big smile on his face,"besides, after that one night, how can we just leave things unsaid like it never happened?"

"First off, don't call me Kiki. Anyone who has EVER called me that came up missing in three days notice. And second, what are you even doing here? I didn't know you signed up for this." But before Ri could answer, a voice came from the stage. It was the voice of Mr. Swato, an English teacher. He asked if the seniors would make their way to the front of the stage. Moki and Ri seemed to have got up at the same time and found themselves standing side by side, being total opposites. Here you have Moki this short, long haired, feminine boy, and Ri, this tall, masculine, short-haired guy with facial hair. Mr. Swato handed Moki a piece of paper with someone's name on it."Kairen Saito?" Moki said softly to himself, he was happy that he had gotten a girl. Some guys were jerks, and he didn't want to end up with one of those. Though out of nowhere, a hand grabbed the paper from Moki's hand.

"Hey lets switch. I hear my guy is a total creep, and you have a girl. You like guys right? Maybe you can help him with his hormonal issues and stuff." Ri said looking at Kairen's name and her picture. Moki just snatched the piece of paper back and put it in his hoodie pocket,"No way, loser, I'm not going to put an innocent girl in your hands, that's homicide." Ri sighed, and begun to whine about something, but Moki wasn't paying attention, he looked around the room for the girl as everyone begun to couple off. He put his lollipop back in his mouth and he was on the move. Eventually over the course of seconds, he had found her. With a big smile on his face he approached her, taking the lollipop out of his mouth again."Hello," Moki said in a cheerful voice," Are you Kairen Saito? I'm Moki Ken, and I'm your senior."

Tomoyo

Tomoyo was put into a very awkward position. Vaurthur was staring at him intently with eyes that flashed with rage at one moment and then with hopelessness. He did not know whether to apologize or to say sorry, so he put his hand over his head and said something like "Oh, sorry about that, heh. But hey you took it like a champ." hoping to alleviate the awkward situation. A silence followed. In order to break the silence he started to laugh, which made it even more awkward, so he decided to add a pat on the back, which was more like a smack on the back to Vaurthur. The situation was intense for a moment, and it seemed as if the moment was going to last forever. He was running out of things to do when Mr. Swato came up on the auditorium to speak. Thank God! That was the first time Tomoyo actually appreciated Mr. Swato's speeches. "Hey, the Junior list is finally up! Lets go get them, I hope we get some hot chicks!" Then without a warning he grabbed Vaurthur and walked up to the auditorium eagerly, knocking couple of juniors along the way. When he got on stage he saw Mr. Swato and gave him a greeting "What's up Swatman!" he said as he slapped him on his back. By now Mr. Swato should have been used to being called ā€˜Swatmanā€™ it was ever since he had been Tomoyoā€™s teacher, that he was called by that name, although he did not appreciate it. Then he went over to the table pushing away some seniors to look for his junior. "Let's see. Ah here it is!" He looked at the picture of his junior(Bishop) and saw his name. He laughed out loud. "Hey Varth, I got a whitie! Too bad he's not a chick though." Tomoyo said a bit disappointed. "Who'd you get?"

Varthur

Varthur wasn't really paying attention as Mr Swato took the stage. He didn't even react when the microphone hit the ground and that loud screech echoed though the hall. The senior just stood around with his hands in his pockets before letting out another sneeze as the incoming juniors were practically covered with cherry blossom filth which was cute to the eye but costly at the price of his life. An allergy acting up, Momo schooling here and a kick to the face.. what a brilliant start to the school year! he sarcastically thought to himself. "Oh, sorry about that, heh. But hey you took it like a champ." Tomoyo said, obviously trying to make light of the situation. Like a champion of a moron.. he concluded to himself, the embarrassment returning before nodding over at Tomoyo who he wasn't really grudging against willing to let it slide and talk on other things. He was about to say: "Hey dude, we should go get our junior sleevey thingys like the rest are" but Tomoyo with way more energy than Varthur could normally have in the mornings beat him to the suggestion. "Hey, the Junior list is finally up! Lets go get them, I hope we get some hot chicks!" Varthur simply grinned. Hey it was a guy thing, didn't all guys hope for that? The straight ones at the very least...

Before he was left any room for pause, he was jerked in a sudden direction by his classmate who appeared eager to get to the front of the auditorium. During the drag, Kei was brushing right past him. The fellow senior seemed oblivious once again to his presence but Varthur kept an eye on him anyways, only to discover Kei was once again approaching Momo. This can't be happening.. He thought, feeling rather paranoid about it. He didn't really know Kei so it wasn't really his position to judge.. but the idea of Momo and Kei working together to make his life miserable was enough to make him squirm. Varthur was so distracted that he didn't even manage to catch Tomoyo call Mr. Swato 'Swatman' which if he had been paying attention he would have found rather amusing. It was only when a plastic sleeve was placed in front of his face suddenly, that he snapped out of his thoughts as he realised he had finally reached the front of the line. Varthur nodded in respect to the english teacher before pushing past the other seniors to get out of their way right behind Tomoyo interested to see if his wish for a hot chick was granted. "Let's see. Ah here it is!" Tomoyo laughed out loud making Varthur believe for a moment he had gotten what he wanted. "Hey Varth, I got a whitie! Too bad he's not a chick though." Varthur just smirked finally glancing down at the Junior's photo to see who he was assigned to... a guy. "Who'd you get?" Varthur shrugged, acting as if it was no big deal. ā€œI got a ā€˜heā€™ as well, looks like weā€™re both out of luck.ā€ He replied.

Inside he was kinda disappointed hoping for a pretty girl.. like that one.. He found himself staring at a junior (Kumi) with green hair shyly blushing making it apparently obvious that she wasn't familiar with anyone. Varthur wasn't experienced with girls.. never having had a girlfriend. He was actually very hesitant about making any advancements or approaches. The only girl he ever really liked turned him down and now they were sorta..enemies. The other female seniors didn't count when it came to being hesitant because as the years passed, he could gradually warm up to them or they to him. Approaching a girl he didn't know right out of the blue was just plain scary and he didn't think he was charming enough to pull it off without being really awkward. He looked away from the pretty Junior and went back to his original Junior search.. some guy named Jack. Didn't sound much like a Japanese name so he had a feeling they'd be able to get along. Varthur wasn't a Japanese name.. at least they had that in common for starters?

Varthur's eyes eventually came across the Junior who was looking bored staring off into space. Even though they hadn't talked yet, he bet this 'Jack' as it said on the nametag of the sleeve.. would've much preferred a female handler.. tour guide.. senior or whatever. "I'll catch you later Tomo" Varthur said with a quick salute before heading over to the Junior he would be stuck with for the rest of the school year. "Hey man.. I guess we're stuck together. I'm Varthur." he introduced rather lousily, plopping beside the Junior before checking the contents of the plastic sleeve to find two pens and some paper wondering what they would be doing with this stuff. I hope it's not one of those stupid get to know each other fill out sheets.. Varthur considered, not really in the mood after the morning he had. He just wanted to sit down, read a good book and pray that he didn't have a class with Ms. Roselle to further ruin the start of his school year. Despite Varthur being a bookworm, smarty- pants as some would call it, he talked like any other average teenage dude out there.. with the 'dudes' the 'mans' and the rest of that common slang which made him really laidback. He was popular in a way.. not that he knew about it. He always thought being popular meant having a cute girl leaning on your shoulder. That was just a dream.. the dream probably so many other teenage dudes in that very hall shared.

JACK

Jack turned his head slowly, staring at Varthur, and looking the guy over quickly, and not really making eye contact, as he kept a tight grip on his black sling backpack, when he suddenly noticed Varthur coming over and greeting him. "ā€¦What a Chav..." was the voice in his head. It wasn't Varthur's outfit or anything of the sort, something about his new 'friend' just made him have an instant dislike for the guy, feeling a sort of burning, mighty 'douchebaggery' about him currently, Jack starting to scratch his head, and think, noticed the strange pieces of paper in the folder, and the pens, and instantly assumed the worst out of the sight before him, jumping to an awful conclusion.

"Oh Shit. It's one of those 'get to know each other' sheets. This Varthur guy is going to kill me with one of those vile waste of trees. I oughtta punch him out and run for it!ā€¦stupid conscious making me stay in school and do this stuff."

"I'm Jack McCoyā€¦" Yawned Jack, who began to rub his eyes as he spoke. "But I'm sure you already knew that or something, bro. And yeah, we're like a pair of socks or something. If that paper is what I think it is, then forget it, I'll tell you everything now. I like video games, girls, storiesā€¦ My Mom used to be in the army, and she recently joined the police. My dad owns a popular Karate Dojo, Kyokushin Kaikan if you want specifics, and my Grampa also does Karate, and some Chinese Kenpo. My Grampa puts me through god awful training regiments in an effort to turn me into the successor of our 'Family Legacy' or somethin' like thatā€¦ I don't care right now. I've never had a girlfriend, and seeing how things are, I may not have one for a long time. =_="

"C'mon, Jackā€¦something more you can say to keep this guy to himself, and away from you?ā€¦maybe a friendly tone so you don't piss him off?"

Jack was putting his thoughts togetherā€¦

"ā€¦Andā€¦Uhā€¦I'm NOT a Vegan? :Dā€¦."

"Oh Yeeeaaaaahā€¦." He told himself mentally.

Tomoyo

"See ya later," he said to Varthur, and waved a hand. Man what a crazy start of school day it was for Tomoyo, and somewhat awkward. He got pranked by his mom, had to do floor cleaning, and kicked a helpless kid to the ground. Yea this will get his reputation up. Tomoyo sighed as he scanned around the room, looking for any blonde hair he could find. After a minute of searching, he spotted a patch, and put the sleeve next to the face. Yup, he found him (Bishop). Tomoyo grabbed his jacket and put it on. He stretched out the wrinkles and redid his tie in a nice fashioned way. Then to finish it off he put his hand through his hair to get it out of his eyes. He needed a haircut. This would get too annoying when playing tennis, or when he is running. After all what good will the team be if their captain lagged behind because he did not cut his hair?
He needed to set a good example for the juniors, and so starting from now he would avoid becoming hyper and stick to being his calm cool self whenever he plays a sport. He stretched out his hands and rotated his neck back and forth for a bit and cleared his throat. Then he casually walked over to the boy(Bishop). Bishop had his headphones on and it annoyed Tomoyo a bit, but I guess thatā€™s what all Americans do. He thought. Anyway, he went ahead and started the conversation. He approached Bishop and put himself right infront of his view. "Bishop, right?" said Tomoyo offering his hand. He smiled "Hello uh. Nice to meet you! uh My um name is uh Tomoyo." He said in his best English possible. Then back in Japanese ā€œDo you speak Japanese?ā€

#, as written by Kaida
Kairen grabbed a chair and began setting them up making sure to leave a space in between the sections for people to get through. Once finished she heard the teachers voice come through the microphone on stage, ā€œTesting...1...2...3ā€ she jumped at the sudden loud noise "Welcome Juniors to.. Airdalen High... and Welcome back Seniors to..Airdalen High.. you may clap now." She was confused but clapped along with everyone else in the assembly hall "As you all knowā€¦or shouldā€¦know.. this year we're doing things differently with a Junior and Seniorā€¦ Programā€¦rightā€¦ Seniors please come to the front." The boys and girls who were also setting up chairs when she asked to help walked to the front.

Kairen looked at all the seniors and just smiled ā€˜so one of these guys is going to be my guide around the school?ā€™ she thought hoping she would still get paired with someone nice. Noticing her hat had fallen on the floor after she jumped when the n the teacher began giving his speech, she looked around the assembly hall trying to locate the piece of headwear. She looked under the chairs in case someone had kicked it under one of them, the garbage, in case someone had swept it up by accident, but no luck ā€˜Greatā€¦mom is going to kill me for losing thatā€™ she thought kicking her foot into the ground lightly ā€œI hope no one stole it.ā€

She decided to take one last look around the floor just in case and while she was not paying attention she tripped and flipped herself over the chair and onto her back on the floor making a loud *CRASH * followed by ā€œOoof! Godā€¦I am such a klutz.ā€ she heard her name being said by a boy who was now standing infront of her ," Are you Kairen Saito? I'm Moki Ken, and I'm your senior." she stood up quickly and fixed her appearance.

"Y-yes I am Kairen saito, it is a pleasure to meet you Moki-sempai" she gave a polite bow.

Bishop

Bishop kept his headphones in for most of the speech, and suddenly plucked them out when Mr. Swato dropped the mic. "Oh shit..." He hurriedly put his belongings away, and listened to the last part. <So.... I guess we're starting.> Bishop was going to be patient seeing as there was a lot of students in the room, and the seniors needed to find them. Though he felt as though he stood out, one of the few having blonde hair and fairer skin than most people here. Until he tanned that was! He looked around, only to find the Jet Li guy (Tomoyo) approach and speak to him in English, and finally Japanese. For a brief second, he was insulted but then again he couldn't blame the guy. He was just going off speculation and was trying to help, not to mention he felt like a douche for keeping his headphones in for so long. He replied to both in Japanese, his accent not standing out..... Yet. "Uh, yeah. I'm Bishop, good to meet you." He smirked in a friendly manner, this guy seemed cool.

He really hoped that he didn't come off as offensive or cocky, he got that a lot. People thought he was trying to one up or show off all the time, when in reality he was just trying to improve himself. That was a rule of his, you can never be good enough! Because you'll eventually find someone better. Bishop jumped hearing a SLAM! and looked at the girl that fell over (Kairen). "Damn...." With that he looked back to Tomoyo, really hoping that his accent didn't make him look stupid. He wasn't quite yet use to all the customs here, so there would be a huge learning curve he would have to catch up on.

Moki

"It's nice to meet you too." Moki could already tell that this girl was going to be quite interesting. He could also tell she did not come from a poor background, which really didn't matter to Moki, yet it was a cultural change. Moki didn't know what too do at this point. He had hoped that they would have activities soon so he could get to know her better in more than just talking. With that being said---what were they suppose to even talk about? He tried to ask relevant questions as un-awkwardly as possible."So," He started off, scratching the back of his head, hoping he hasn't come off too strange so far"are you excited about your junior year? I remember my junior year as though it was just yesterday....There was a lot of home work...Lots." Moki shook his head as he drifted off into a distant, unsatisfying daydream of cruel teachers and piles of book work that he never really cared to do."Though it should be totally different for you, it's different for everyone here, just make sure you get the good teachers, oh, and classes with your friends...and make sure your teachers are the ones who actually wear deodorant." Moki begun to flap his arms up and down as though he was some sort of handicapped bird."THINGS CAN GET KINDA FUNKY!" He yelled in a strange, deep, loud tone. He then looked around at all the other students as some of them got silent and stared at him, as though he was covered in some sort of glowing, radioactive ooze. He slowly brought his hands down."Yeah so be aware of that." He said in an embarrassed tone. "I really hope Silas didn't see that." He said softly to himself.

Akira

Akira smiled slightly to herself, Silas was kind of fun to be mean to, he handled it so well. She nearly had gotten lost in thought until she registered what Silas had said to her, tensing up and blushing a dark red, "Like I would ever get close enough to you, and I don't have those!" she snapped at him, completely flustered, not to mention having had a delayed reaction to the comeback made it so much worse, "Just because I've got a proper accent doesn't mean you have to make fun of it, yours sounds funnier than mine." she stuck her tongue out at him childishly, she would've mocked his, but she wasn't in the mood to fail miserably, the last thing they needed was her getting so embarrassed because she wasn't funny, and giving him yet another reason to tease her. Akira watched the students once she'd finished her side of the floor, her chin leaned on the broom handle, "I see, must be great having a single sport you enjoy." she whispered, still trying to figure out which junior she'd get as she watched them arrive, "They got some cute junior boys this year, waaaay better than last years boys." she chimed, kind of nudging the comment towards Silas.

He was easy to talk to, he never seemed to get serious or angry, so being herself came natural. She picked up the trash can, she'd have to go dump it, but first she took it over to Silas's side so he could dump his tray inside, "Be on the same team as you Silas? You'd enjoy that way too much." she rolled her eyes at the thought, "Everyone knows your flirting obsession, and I doubt someone like you could catch me. You should be more focused on getting those grades up. Doesn't your dad want you to be like Einstein or something?" she laughed at him with her own wink up at him, "Garbage lady ready for the dropoff..." she laughed, shaking the trash can. She should probably start to work on her attitude towards Silas, she was so mean to him. It was better because it was out of worry, right? They were friends, and she worried about him a lot. He didn't seem to work on his grades that much.. Speaking of grades, maybe instead of worrying about being charismatic, she should work on her own...but studying was so boring.. she let her head drop in depression. Realistically speaking; balancing a job, house chores, school, and sports? She didn't have time to study...

Akira put her finger on her chin, did that kid she nearly ran over hate her, she never got a reply, but he did seem to notice her and Silas, so he wasn't beyond acknowledging her exsistance, but he seemed to keep looking at Silas, "I think you have an admirer.." she smirked, as secretly as she could pointing at the blonde boy (Bishop). When the teacher called that they should get down, she crinkled her nose, rolling her eyes, she didn't see HIM cleaning the floor. She knew a dirty floor when she saw it, and kept up to the teachers and janitors this one would be unsatisfactory in her standards. Though cleaning after a bunch of highschool students wasn't an easy task... then Mr Swato asked them to come back to the front!? What was the point of getting down if they had to come right back up there!? She twitched a bit, this school was so backwards. They'd put the cart before the horse if it would run even semi-functionally. She felt herself getting nervous, she didn't really want a girl junior because girls were harder for her to talk to..but if it was a cute boy... it'd be even worse... so she finally decided to pray for another girl. All the junior girls looked so kawaii and confused afterall. Maybe she'd make a friend..? She finally got the courage to go up and get her supplies and sleeve, blinking at it after Mr. Swato handed them to her, it was a girl...? She looked at the picture, noticing her oddly colored hair, it was...green, but boy she was really pretty, she kind of made Akira jealous.. (Kumi) She shook her head.

Akira began quickly moving herself around senior and junior pairs looking for the girl, then she spotted her, "Oiiii I'm Akira!" she stated rather loudly, grinning almost from ear to ear. It would appear to the girl that Akira was a boy based on uniform, so she placed her hand behind her neck, "You can call me Kira though, I guess I'm your guide..." she then looked down at her sleeve again, "Kumi, is it?" she smiled in a friendly manner. Akira then noticed the supplies in the sleeve, "Uhm...what are we supposed to do with pens and papers..?" she asked completely at a loss. Was it a weird riddle game? She was so bad at riddles...

Tomoyo

Not long after Tomoyo got to Bishop, did he hear a crash. At first he thought he was responsible for the noise, but when he looked over, it was a girl. "Damn...." "Damn is right, man that girl fell hard" Tomoyo said as if Bishop was speaking Japanese without an accent. He smiled at Bishop. Tomoyo pulled up a chair and sat down so that he was facing Bishop. He lifted the thick packet of blank papers. The sheets were packed with nothing, and there were a hundreds of pages in total. It was as if he was taking his first back-to-school exam. Tomoyo folded the paper in half and put it away. He was about to ask Bishop his first question when all of a sudden out of no where came "THINGS CAN GET KINDA FUNKY!" It was Moki, he knew it. Everyone grew silent, and Moki shrank into his seat. Tomoyo put his hand over his face. You're the funky one Moki. What a troublesome duo they are. He thought to himself they cause more chaos than me.

Tomoyo cleared his throat once more, and took a look at the 100 sheets of papers, then put it aside. He looked at the pen and paper. Now why were those there? He took the paper and wrote something on it and made out of it an airplane. Afterwards he chucked it into the air to see where it would fly. It flew pretty far until it landed somewhere on the ground. He looked under the table to search for the airplane, and found a hat (Kairen's) under his table. He picked it up and put it on his head. "Awesome hat huh?" he asked Bishop.
"So," Tomoyo began, "How do you like the school so far? What do you like to do? Are you into sports or are you the more an academic kind of person?" Tomoyo asked eagerly.

#, as written by Kaida
Kairen just smiled ā€œIā€™ll take that advice to mind sempaiā€ she said, examining Moki further, she noticed first his spikey messy hair, it was fairly common for people in japan to have messy hair, she herself liked her hair nice and out of her face unless a job she were doing called for it to be otherwise. She listened to him speak and his dialect seemed a little off but she decided not to mention it.
"are you excited about your junior year? I remember my junior year as though it was just yesterday....There was a lot of homework...Lots." she looked thoughtful for a moment ā€œHomework isnā€™t really all that hard for me, but sometimes myā€¦family gets in the way of thatā€ she didnā€™t want someone she just met to know too much about her, that was the whole reason she hid behind her nerdy exterior. Moki seemed distant as if he had something on his mind "Though it should be totally different for you, it's different for everyone here, just make sure you get the good teachers, oh, and classes with your friends...and make sure your teachers are the ones who actually wear deodorant." He waved his arms around in a goofy manner as Kairen frowned ā€œFriends huhā€¦I have never been good at making friends andā€¦Deodorant? You mean the teachers here lack in hygiene?ā€ she made a funny face and noticed she had a smudge on her glasses so she slid them off and wiped the smudge off with her shirt, probably a bad move on her part this guy may recognize who she really is.

Once her glasses were back on she noticed one of the other boys in the room had her hat on "M-My hat!" she said raising her voice a little bit then immediately regretting it because it may have drawn a bit of unwanted attention.

Moki

It seemed as though when the girl took her glasses off everything started to become clearer. This wasn't just an ordinary student, this girl featured in movies. Relevant movies, movies that Moki actually liked, and actually took the time out of his day to watch."You're the daughter of,"Moki looked around to make sure they weren't being stared at, or no one else recognized who she was,"Annalisa Saito?!" He felt so stupid letting the glasses alter his perspective of reality so much that this girl was Clark Clint temporarily, and by her taking off her glasses showed her true persona as Superman."What are you doing here, why aren't you homeschooled? Oh my God, you're an actress. Oh my God, I'm not even in a presentable state right now. Calm down Moki, calm down, collect yourself,"The strange, hyperventilating boy begun to think out loud, maybe to himself, yet out loud none the less. He took a double take to make sure he wasn't mistaken. He wasn't.

In the mist of Moki's star stuck moment, he heard 'M-My hat!' in a loud voice beside him. Yet again, the attention was on the two students. Moki looked around, then he made eye contact with Ri, who was laughing under his breath. Moki wanted to badly to flick the Ri off, though that would only attract more attention to them. He looked at where the girl's attention was. The person who had the girls hat was none other than Tomoyo Yokushite. Moki's eyes widened,"Wow, Tomoyo. Just---wow." Though Moki didn't have a personal relationship with Tomoyo, he was one of those people that he's known because of class, and because he was an all around popular guy.

Kei Takeda

"I see. Should we sit somewhere?" Kei's first thought was that he was glad she didn't find it necessary to mention the stupidity of what he had said. He didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable either though so he simply looked around, knowing that they had a side for Juniors and one for Seniors but thinking that just maybe they should be sitting with their partners. He decided to just go ahead and do as he pleased, if they got in trouble he was the senior. "You should lead the way, I'm not really sure what we're going to do.." He smiled when she smiled, trying to seem more approachable than usual "I don't know either but we can take a seat for now and I will let you ask me anything you want to know until we are instructed further..." With that Kei walked over to the seat he had reserved using his bag, which he sat on the ground before sitting down, and waved for Momo to follow him and take a seat next to him. One thing was on Kei's mind as he waved Momo over, he knew he came across a bit intimidating but he was trying not to, something that he was not use to since usually he would just stay to himself. At least she didn't seem scared or she was good at hiding it if she was, it made it easier for him. Of course it also helped as the rest of the Seniors broke off and went to find their respective Juniors and the atmosphere changed from one where close friends were talking to one where people were getting to know each other. He looked down at the plastic sleeve in his hand as he waited for his Junior to join him, thinking that the blank paper and the pens had to mean they were going to be doing some sort of exercise to get to know one another, that could be them just writing down facts or if they were unlucky a boring game to get acquainted, there was just no way to make introducing yourself fun, it was better to just talk or something along those lines.

Either way he was prepared to try and help his Junior get into the swing of things here, he remembered when he first arrived it had been pretty hectic for him and there was nobody to help him ease into it. Then again he had been a loner for a long time, most people either figured him some sort of punk because of the wounds he got from boxing or simply didn't care, so back then he could have used someone to ask questions about the rather... unique school. So he was going to do his best to help get Momo comfortable with her new school and hopefully make getting use to everything a good experience. He turned, looking over to Momo, figuring she would sit in a moment, or she could continue standing, either way it didn't much matter to him, he was just here to help, this was a new experience for both of them. He was wondering how much time they would have to talk before they were told what to do next, he was sure it wouldn't be terribly long so he had to make sure to answer her questions to the best of his knowledge and do so quickly, just in case she had some pressing questions of any kind. He looked at her as he waited for her to sit, the spot he had his stuff was close to where they had been standing so he was sure she could still hear him, even though there was quite a bit of chatter with everybody talking to one another. "So any questions about school or even about me?" he asked his voice as calm and deep as usual as he waited, she had to have at least one question, especially if he added questions about himself into the equation. Then again she may not have questions in which case she really just didn't care or she didn't want to ask him, he hoped that wouldn't be the case and she would have at least one to ask him, he didn't want to be the only group sitting there silently.

Bishop

"Very nice...." He chuckled, and laid back relaxing. This guys seemed chill, someone he could relate to which he was glad for. He glanced over his shoulder at the weird acting kid with what he assumed was his junior (Moki and Kairen) then turned back to Tomoyo. "Well, I have a swimming scholarship here. And yes, this school looks very impressive nothing like back in Okinawa." He gulped nervously him not hearing it himself, but his accent was in full swing right then. It was an American accent none the less but with a slight southern twang. He got it from his father, who was from Texas. "I'm actually- M-My hat!!" He winced as the one girl shouted at the both of them, and he looked back to see who shouted. He saw it was her again (Kairen) and looked back to Tomoyo. "Hey uh... I think that's her hat." He smirked being a smart ass. Bishop was hoping to avoid conflict, but it appeared as though his guiding senior (Tomoyo) was the epicenter for it. First the flying dragon kick to that one kids face (Varther) and now the mystery of the missing hat was resolved.

ā€˜crapā€¦well there goes my coverā€™ ā€œShhh please donā€™t be so loud about it, if it gets out that I come from a famous family just please Moki-sempai, please keep it quietā€ she pleaded "What are you doing here, why aren't you homeschooled? Oh my God, you're an actress. Oh my God, I'm not even in a presentable state right now. Calm down Moki, calm down, collect yourself," Kairen looked down at the ground ā€œwhy am I not Homeschooled? I donā€™t want to be homeschooled, being homeschooled just means I am all that more different than other kids my ageā€¦and being different is no fun, I just want to fit in so I came here, And I got in through scholarship even though my parents had the money to pay tuition, Yes I am an actress but I donā€™t like to brag, itā€™s not in my character. And presentableā€¦if I cared about presentation do you think Iā€™d dress this way?ā€ she explained hoping she didnā€™t come off as rude or anything she just hated when people freaked out when the figured out who she was.

Moki was looking at the boy with her hat ,"Wow, Tomoyo. Just---wow." She looked at the boy again ā€œYou know that guy sempai?ā€ she looked at Moki then at the other boy (Tomoyo) ā€œMaybe I should go ask for my hat backā€

((Oh yeah and Kumi's thoughts will be in stars! ** that are green! ^^))

KUMI MIDORI

Kumi stood there still as puzzled as she was before. She took in all the smiling faces. Everyone seemed to know each other. Or people just jumped into conversation. Kumi spotted some cute boys. She saw a cute black haired kid that seemed to be sneezing an awful lot. (Varthur) He was dreamy. She also saw another cute boy with blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. (Silas) He seemed to be with another girl? Boy? (Akira) Her eye sight wasn't the greatest so she couldn't tell from where she was. They seemed to be friend and maybe more then friends... She didn't know, but she wouldn't get upset about it. Kumi blushed as she saw a boy glancing at her. (Bishop) Kumi was a little jealous of everyone fitting in so much. She wasn't one to get along so quickly. She was bullied most of her life so she wasn't used to friendliness, but she could definitely get used to it. It was high school, she had to start over, for all she knew, everyone was nice.

Kumi then glanced at everyone else and thought about their looks and how they might be like. She saw a girl with beautiful pink hair... (Momo) *Wow she is beautiful. Pink is a much better hair color then green...* She then saw another just adorable girl that looked like a model. (Kairen) She seemed to be a bit klutzy but just cute. Kumi blushed a little as she transitioned to the boy that was staring at her earlier. (Bishop) He seemed to be listening to music. He looked like he could be an awesome friend. There were a lot of people. She seemed to cover almost everyone. Kumi knew it would be a good year. She could just feel it. She shifted her skirt as well as her backpack and took a deep breathe. She then started walking slowly towards Varthur to maybe start a conversation. She couldn't just be a quite hider, people would think she was shy. She then stopped and thought about it before taking any action. She then just stayed in the middle of the auditorium.

*Maybe I should just wait.... I should like to finally fall in love some day... Will this thing just start?!*

Her head darted to the older looking man that seemed to be a teacher. (Mr. Swato) She grinned as he walked up the stage. She was relieved she could just finally meet her partner. She couldn't really breathe in the gym either. Her clothes were to tight and the air seemed murky. The teacher seemed to be quite awkward and a bit klutzy as well. He started speaking about passing our sleeves? She winced when he dropped the microphone. She had sensitive ears and it was very painful to hear the screeching of the microphone. As soon as he was done speaking and started passing out the "sleeves", Kumi examined all of the seniors. Hoping to figure out which one was hers so she was ready. She didn't want to make a complete fool out of her self. In all honesty she wanted someone like the cute sneezing boy (Varthur) or the handsome blonde boy (Silas) but they seemed to wonder elsewhere. Not towards Kumi. Kumi finally saw the one girl she couldn't figure out because of the short hair and the far distance. (Akira) Kumi could definitely tell she was a girl now. The face structure gave it away to Kumi. She was good at guessing those certain things.

Kumi straightened out and flattened her skirt and shirt. She then put on her best smile and made sure her bag didn't look funky on her back. The one girl was obviously her senior. She was actually quite cute at a closer look. (Akira) She looked like she could be her new best buddy. * You got this Kumi! Remember you didn't raise your charm to fuck up in front of people. Don't be awkward... Be cool! Your brains don't define you. Your not just a nerd. Okay! * After Kumi's little pep talk she was ready.

"Oiiii I'm Akira! You can call me Kira though, I guess I'm your guide... Kumi, is it? Uhm...what are we supposed to do with pens and papers..?"

Kumi knew she was going to like Akira already. Kumi bowed and held out a hand.

"Yes my name is Kumi. Nice to meet you Akira. Looks like we will have more in common since we're both girls!"

Kumi gave a closed eyed smile and spoke in a sweet voice. She hoped her senior and her would get along. The last thing Kumi wanted was to have an enemy already.

Tomoyo

"Hey uh... I think that's her hat." Bishop said smirking pointing to the girl who was with Moki (Kairen). Tomoyo took off the hat and started to spin it in his hand. "Gee, thanks for telling me." Tomoyo said sarcastically. He looked at the hat, it was soft and warm. "But I like this hat." He said as he spun it. Then he looked over at the girl (Karien), and decided to give her a visit. "Okay, guess I'll give this back now." Tomoyo said as he got up from the table. "I'll get Moki to accompany you while I am gone." With that he walked over to where Moki and the girl(Karien) was, while spinning the hat in one hand and whistling. Then with a sudden force he butt Moki out of his seat. "Hello miss," he said. Then he turned to Moki and said "Hey you know, my junior, Bishop is a bit lonely by himself right now, so could you go tend him for a while, until I finish talking with this miss here?" Then without waiting for a response he said "Thanks!" and turned back to the girl sitting in front of him. Behind his back, Tomoyo made a peace signal to Moki indicating appreciation and that he owes Moki one.

He looked at the girl with dark hair (Karien). He took the hat and put it on the girl's head. "I think this belongs to you." Tomoyo said as smoothly as he could, and smiled. He looked into her eyes, and halted. "Wait a minute, haven't I seen you before?" He said as if he has seen a celebrity. "Oh yea, you're the girl that did like a 180 over the chair and fell." He said laughing, but stopped when he saw the girl's face (Karien) turn red. "Anyway, my name is Tomoyo, what's yours?" He asked offering his hand.

Maya Kenkon

Glancing around, Maya could see a whole room of potential new friends, each one special and unique. The girls were pretty and the boys were handsome. ā€œThis is going to be a great year!ā€,she said with a large smile, optimism beaming from her as always. There had been a bit of a struggle to get in the school due to her fatherā€™s somewhat dubious background but she had managed to get in, though she insisted in working in a noodle shop down the street to help her father with the payments. Lately, the dojo had been losing a few of its students. Her father said it was due to that damn McCoy (his words not hers). She had simply urged the job issue without to flaring up her fatherā€™s temper by mentioning the rival dojo. Once her father flared up then her fatherā€™s former underlings went up as well, then there was talk of a raid and she had to calm them all down. ā€œI still donā€™t get what the issue isā€, she muttered, smoothing out the extremely long skirt her father insisted on wearing. She felt it made her look like a Yanki, a female teenage delinquent, though the large and good natured smile on her face told otherwise. She glanced around, looking for someone to talk to. Everyone seemed to be grouping up or talking with their senior buddy. She wasnā€™t sure who hers was but she hoped they would become good friends.

Reaching down, she tapped the side of her over- sized sneakers for good luck. It was something her mother had taught her when she was young. She said that demons of bad luck always attacked the feet first and the tapping noise scared them off. It was silly and childish but it gave her hope. Studying the people as best she could with one eye, she quickly spotted a blue eyed male who seemed to be flirting with everyone. ā€œHeā€™s cute though not as cute asā€¦ā€ a light pink blush crossed her features before she quickly pushed it back down. No, he was off limits and it would only anger her father. Turning her head, she glanced a few rows down at the brown haired male (Jack), her cheeks flushing once more.

Moki

"Please, just call me Moki, you're way to respectful, not most girls---" Before Moki could complete what he was trying to say to Karien, Tomoyo pushed him out his chair with brute force, causing Moki to fall to the ground. Embarrassment. A fire burned in the Moki's eye as he stood up and stared at the boy as he started to prey on his junior. He then mouthed the words 'complete jerk' to Karien, pointing at Tomoyo while he wasn't looking, then gave her a playful wink as though he was saying 'girl, you better not let him get in your pants on the first day of school'. Tomoyo wanted Moki to watch over his junior while he talked to Moki's junior. Moki didn't know why he felt so territorial over Karien. He guessed that hes seen way to many girls go bad because they've been around the wrong guys in high school, yet he let it slide, and made his way over to the boy named Bishop, as nonchalant as he could."Hi." Moki said waving his hand at Bishop as he sat right beside him."I'm Moki. You must be Bishop? Your senior is trying to have his way with my junior, so I'm here as a temp, until that gets situated."
