Introduction
Well, there you go. Thanks for checking this old RP out. It was undoubtedly one of the most successful on the site. Thank you so much, for making this possible, everyone, you're all awesome..!
Soul Threads is currently being remade into a novel by Lurelle, Kit_Kat, and leopardspotz17.

The connection between animals and humans through Soul Threads have existed since anyone can remember. An animal finds a way to their human from birth and both adapt to each other's attitude and temper. The animal remains with their person for the rest of their lives, and for a while it was just living normally with their animal.
But now, in modern day, the people have realized the potential of their Threads. They attend a special school, Soul Thread Academy, or STA. Here they train and learn, with classes specialized for their animal partner. Things have gone well, the academy's tenth anniversary celebration is coming up and the students are excited. But one student sees this as an opportunity to destroy the fragile Soul Thread connection permanently..
For a long time, only powerful and rich families could attend the STA. But now everyone with a Thread and good grades can join this 'friendly and social learning community'. The disciplinarian principal, Mr. Kingston, holds this reputation tightly and will do anything to uphold the STA name.
But there's always a bad guy, isn't there? It would seem so. After the defeat of Vincent West, Jamie's corrupt father, there's another man out there who's plotting against the school. But he's in a different country completely; but he's all around. New laboratories are popping up everywhere. The police and government are supporting them.. why not? However, this man is intrigued in Soul Threads and believes that he can make them better. Experimentation and captivity are all that await those who become subjects at his laboratory. The two sides are at civil war, the STA students, a bunch of under-trained, naive kids versus the brilliant, well-funded scientist group under a notorious name. Other creations, including corrupt Soul Threads themselves, are being sent to capture students and kill anything that gets in their way. Disappearances are beginning to worry the school, and students fear it may be shut down. But these kids have no where to go, most of their families are dead or won't accept them. Our villain here seems intent on getting his hands on our good friends here who completed the mission to save Jamie and destroy the headquarters of her father. Because, well, they're a little different than the others.
So what are you going to do? Remain at the school and protect your friends, and risk getting taken yourself? Or going out to eliminate branches of laboratories around the world? Even to destroy the head of the madness?

Jamie's clouded eyes scanned the grassy area in front of the school. It was a cloudy day. Her favorite. Tasarin ruffled his feathers, the sound crisp near Jamie's ear. She continued walking, and slung her backpack over her opposite shoulder. "We're nearly late." The words didn't seem to come from Jamie, but no one else was around. They were all in class. Tasarin let out an indignant sound. I wasn't the one spending half an hour tinkering with a spork, he seemed to say. "That's not true. Besides, you never know, those things could make a useful weapon." She held out her hand for him to hop onto, then opened the doors of the school. Warm air poured from the double doors, flowing out into the cool, misty schoolyard.
Jamie wasted no time in sweeping through the halls, her school outfit was proving to be the most uncomfortable so far. Her classroom was darkened, a video was about to be played. She flashed an innocent smile at the teacher, who smiled back. As she slid into her seat, the clear one-note bell rang out. The window blinds sat in a cloud of dust that arose when the ancient teacher shut them, and the video player creAked to life, showing the history of how Soul Threads were created. This video had been played thousands upon thousands of times.. It never got old.
Tasarin soared up to a bar on the ceiling to remain there for class; the larger animals were stabled by the locker rooms. The smaller ones were allowed to remain with their Threads.
Jamie glanced at him before turning to smile once more at the girl next to her and her attention wavered between the girl and the screen.

She defied her usual goody-goody act and leaned over. "Hello! Is that your cat?" she knew it obviously was, but she kept the cheerful and upbeat tone. "I have a hawk; his name is Tasarin. He's up there." Her words sped from her mouth while her head jerked upward toward the bar Tasarin perched on. He gave a friendly trill, a four-note song. He would never act like this usually ..
Jamie's attention pretended to flicker and she stared at the cat. It's eyes met hers then looked away. A low grumbling sound arose from it's throat.

"Miss Goldworthy-" his voice was lost. Goldworthy? I remember that name .. I was supposed to have her as a roommate. My dorm is across from hers, Jamie blinked again. This would be easier than she thought it would.
The dorm rooms were basically a separate building forming a "U" around the main school building. The dorm that she was assigned to, B7, was on the second floor. The boys dorm was the lower floor.
After tackling the maze of rooms and shiny brass numbers she found B7 in a wide hallway. A blue carpet ran down the hall and the walls were a tan, lighting up the halls. Almost eerily. Inside, she saw on one of the beds a heavily-covered sheet of stuffed animals. Among the fluff was the girl from earlier .. She had a first name .. What was it..
"Melonie." She said, her voice trembling with fake concern. "Are you alright?!" She strode over to this Melonie and the cat looked up at her distrustfully. She ignored it while Tasarin stared meanly at it. Then the bell rang - first period was over. Second period was a open one .. she would have plenty of time.
Footsteps and the loud rush of boisterous students and animals swept past their open door and she shut it quickly. They were to have one more roommate, although there were four bunk beds. She expecting the wooden door to open once again, but wished it wasn't soon.. all these people were beginning to wear her down.

She blinked and then sighed, putting it back in her mouth and dragged her suitcases down a few more hallways. She sighed and then stopped, stomping her foot as her short temper was getting a hold of her and Silence slithered his head under her chin to calm her down, showing her loved her and she didn't need to be upset. "Gah, I'm sorry, Silence... this school is so damn big. I'm hoping I don't have a room mate but if I do, we can bear it." she said, growling slightly and then she started walking again as her high heeled black leather boots clicked on the ground again. She dragged her suitcases down another hall and saw the doors for the C dorms and she walked up to one, the one that read C1 and she slowly took out a key a teacher had given her. She unlocked the door and went inside, glancing around the dark but large room and she slowly walked over to the regular sized beg with a nightstand beside it. She tucked her suitcases onto the bed and then she sat down, breathing rather heavily.
She would then take a note from her pocket, the one with her schedule. She knew she had a school uniform but breaking rules was what she did best and she wasn't going to abide by wearing the full uniform every damn day. She sighed and she got up, smoothing out her sweater and she slowly took Silence from her shoulders and set her down on the bed. She took off her sweater, and then put on the uniform after taking off her skinny jeans and she wrapped a scarf around her neck and kept on her leather boots. She ran a brush through her hair again and then sat down, looking back at her school schedule as Silence curled up onto her lap.

These facts aside, he was now at the Soul Thread Academy, bag in one hand, his book in the other, and Carris nestled safely on his shoulder. Garret turned now to look at her. "Well, old friend, seems this place is our new home." The snowy owl ruffled her feathers in response as he took off at slow gait towards the dorms. He had memorized his room number already, and where to find it from the floor plan of the school: room A3, first floor, second hall on the left from the front door. Opening the door, he found his bed, with a nightstand ready for books, and a desk ready fro great amounts of research. He went over to the window and opened it, letting a breeze in to give Carris some lift to her wings. He sat upon the bed, his novel, Dracula, forgotten for now, was thrown on the pillows.
Garret looked up at the owl, who had roosted upon the light fixture on the ceiling. "So, Carris, I take it you like the accomadations? It's a little crampped for my taste. Hopefully, I won't get in trouble for letting the window open for you." Carris looked down with a slight glare to her eyes, a soft "ooo" escaping her beak. Garret chuckled. "Yes, yes. I know. I'm never putting you back in that bloody cage. It wasn't my idea, just the rules of the road." Her glare did not weaver, but Garret hardly noticed. He had grown use to it.
Leaping from the bed, book back in hand, he opened the door again. "Shall we take a look at our new home? I know we have the lay out memorized sometime ago, but it's better to experience than to know." Carris did not repsond, but simply swooped down and out the door without a sound. Garret grinned, and followed, closing the door behind him.

"I guess I'll see you later.." she closed the door and left before Melonie could possibly say anything. She went down the hall, her obvious irritation seemed to give her a clear path through the crowd. Tasarin was nearly shoved off of Jamie's shoulder as a person with a horse Thread ambled their way. "That belongs outside in the stables." Jamie snapped at the person, who stared at her in surprise. Jamie kept walking, going down the stairs with one hand on the rail. Tasarin fluttered down instead and waited for Jamie at the bottom.
"I'll have to brave the boy's dorms.." she muttered to herself. Tasarin clicked his beak and turned his head. A guy obviously older than her was just closing his door with a snowy owl Thread with him. The other boys clustered around doors seemed to disappear then, but Jamie began walking forward; the doors leading out of the dorm buildings was just there. She had to pass him, though. The last time Tasarin had been around another bird Thread he had attacked.
As Jamie approached him, her eyes glanced him over then stared straight ahead. The black hawk perched on her shoulder copied her, but looked sullenly at the snowy bird.
"Hello." she said as she passed him, noticing the book in his hand. She had used to love those sort of things before she got into engineering and the like. The words were audible to no one but herself and this boy.

"Thank the Lord, some peace finally," Greyson muttered as he set his bag down on an empty bed. Coad made a nod of agreement and went to sniff around the room. "Looks like there's already someone here..." Greyson unzipped the bag and threw some of his clothes into the drawers next to his bed. He tossed his iPod on the bed after changing the sheets to plain black, and placed a pillow over the nasty-looking one already there. Finally, he put down a comfy mat for Coad. "You wanna stay here while I go to the next classes? It sucks you've grown so much I can't take you with me."
Coad whined and licked Greyson's hand, then sat on the mat, looking at the door. He made a movement with his tail and flicked his ears. "The owl guy is in here too?" Coad nodded. "Just don't eat his Thread...go hunting or exploring, you know how to get out if you need to."

Andrew sat up and stretched, "Wake me up earlier will ya?" he said blaming the wolf for his lateness. Koda growled as if saying, "I tried, but you're the one who keeps saying ten more minutes and end up sleeping for an extra hour." The teen lifted his hands, "Ok ok, it's my fault. No need to get mad." he said with a small grin before walking into the bathroom. After washing up, he changed into a white button down shirt, folding the sleeves up. He then wore his jeans and headed towards the door.
"Try not to get into trouble when I'm in class. Dont chase after another animals... though I really dont care. I just hate hearing other people complain to me." Andrew warned as he put his hands behind his head and walked out the door. Koda followed behind him his ears twitching at his words.

Turning his attention back to the girl, he pushed his glasses back his nose with his ring finger, as they had slipped down the bridge. "Hmmmm, given your younger appearance and a little shyness, you either are trying to make friends are in need of directions." Garret had prided himself in his abilities to decipher a persons intent before they had made it known. He passed a smug grin in Carris direction, knwoing she would appreciate it. But Carris seemed preoccupied, staring straight ahead at what restted on the girl's shoulder. A large, black hawk, who seemed to be sharing the tense leer with his own snowy owl. Easy, old friend. We don't want to cause a scene.
Glancing back at the girl, who still held the same expression, he looked at her over the edge of his glasses. "Well, which is it? Can I help you with one or neither?"

Younger appearance. Well, she couldn't have passed for anything over eighteen. "I suppose I could be trying to make friends." she remembered to smile nervously. Tasarin hopped down from her shoulder to her wrist. His weight, which had been no problem previously, surprised her and her light frame didn't help her as she nearly fell over. She lurched forward but used another arm under her own. The hawk ruffled his feathers almost indignantly. As she regained her composure a tiny square fell from her pocket, about the size of a thumbnail. It had bronze and silver embroidering on it and a blue gem-like object in the middle. The blue light coming from it lit up when it hit the floor, through neatly crafted lines in the cube. Jamie didn't notice, but Tasarin let out a loud sharp sound. His talons tightened around her arm and she saw her cube. It began to glow brighter, but both of her arms were busy - Tasarin swooped down and grabbed ahold of it with both claws, then returned to her shoulder.
A kid with a bear passed them while Jamie clutched the cube tightly in her fist. Her eyes widened slightly at the boy and she took a step back. She had just messed up royally.

Koda wagged his tail. He didnt like having to wait for Andrew all the time, alone with a bunch of animals. Seeing the look on the wolf's face, then teen chuckled. As a guy with a bear walked in, the two looked over. Koda, being a wolf wasnt such a huge fan of bears. He snorted before started to pad down the hall, ahead of Andrew. The teen stared blankly for a second before realizing his companion left without him. Sighing, he hurried after the animal.

She turned the hallway, looking down at the schedule and searching for the room numbers. Searching for them and memorizing the patterns of the rooms so she didn't get lost the next day. She walked up to her first classroom, looking at the number and looking back the way she came. She walked down another hallway, following the numbers as Silence rested his head on her right shoulder as she continued to walk, her boots making click sounds on the floor. She sighed and turned a few more hallways, pointing at the number rooms of her classrooms.

They went into the courtyard, a some-what peaceful spot that connects most of the school. He saw a few students he remembered from his past attendance at STA. Waving at a group of kids he remembered, he quickly walked by. They were the more "exclusive group" with their Threads trailing behind, the girls' with diamond collars. Last year, Greyson had been accepted, you could say, into their little party. But he only sat with them at lunch, and occasionally intercepted notes in class. Few conversations were with the guys, maybe two with the girls, but they were short. Coad didn't like any of their threads either. This year, they planned to avoid them.
Finally passing them, the pair got to just where they wanted- a small break in the buildings, like an alleyway, that led straight for the woods behind the school. There's a lot of kids at STA. There has to be some others to make friends with...

Once, Coad and Greyson were in the woods and tried to attack them. Coad had bravely fought him off. But now the wolf seemed hostile to a Thread.
Before he could stop him, the wolf ran to the bear, barking and snarling. Greyson ran after him and tried to grab his tail, but Coad escaped his grip. "Hey, watch out!" He called, panicked that his Thread would do damage to the bar, or the student beside him.

Lukas noticed the kid yelling to watch out and yelled back "Dude, what's up with your wolf? Huma didn't do anything to him." He then waited for the kid to get closer as the wolf continued to growl, unphased by Huma's yawn.

Greyson then looked up at Lukas. "Hey man, I'm really sorry. Long story short, he had a bad run in with a bear a while back. Sorry he caused trouble, it won't happen again." It was embarrassing enough that Coad would do this, even with good intentions, and the bear- Huma- stand there like Coad was an annoying fly. His Thread was now loyally standing at his side, with his head high as if to show Huma he was resilient, and still ready if the bear did attack his human counterpart.
"Hey, it's almost third period; I think that class is Thread training. You wanna walk with us?" Greyson asked, nodding his head in the direction of the alleyway.
