Zane gulped, her voice rang like bells in his head, her voice was sweet and silky like melted chocolate. When she mentioned she was a warrior from Ocean Moon Pack, his small smile returned. "I'm surprised I've never seen you before.." he murmured calmly. He watched as she began to blush and his own ears flamed with the sudden boyish blush. He couldn't believe he was so attached to this partially female. He had just thought a moment ago that protecting a female was childish and yet here he was, standing before one he would protect the rest of his life. When she shifted slightly and that simple slightest touch, He felt his breath being knocked out of him, his nerves went numb for a couple of seconds like that touch was the last thing he felt. He saw that spark in her eyes and knew immediately, this was it, this was her...His Soulmate. A warm feeling spread across his skin and he stopped himself from leaning forward. He wanted to fall, to fall and just praise her. But at the same time he wanted to hold her, hold her close and never let go. Because you only have one soulmate in your life and once their gone, their gone..
"Yeah, me too." Zoe murmured back, suddenly aware once more of how close they were and of how easy it would be to take the slightest step forward and fall into his arms in an embrace and never let go. It was such a strange feeling. She didn't know him, yet she felt like she should, like her soul knew him, and like she wanted to get to know him as much and as fast as possible. But she wasn't a lovesick puppy. She tried to find the strength to refrain from leaping into his arms and holding him close, because that just wouldn't be like her. Stupid mate crap. Who was this goddess or whatever to control their hearts and souls like this? It just wasn't cool, man. But there was no changing it. And she started to think it wasn't such a bad thing. This goddess girl did choose well, after all. She grinned, her icy blue eyes locked on his. "Come 'ere, handsome." she murmured, the words rolling off her tongue like sweet honey as she closed the space between them slowly, watching him as she did and wrapping her arms around his neck, resting her head gently on his shoulder. She could feel the corded muscles under his tanned skin beneath her arms. In any other situation, with any other guy, this would have been a little more than slightly awkward and strange. But this didn't feel like that, it just felt.....right. As if it was meant to be. Suddenly she didn't ever want to let him go or let him out of her sight, and her heart was a drum beating to a different beat, as if it synced with his at that moment. It felt like...home. If that made any sense.
Zane sighed and pulled away, he sighed and kissed her forehead quietly. He felt at peace with himself, he gently intertwined their fingers and sighed. He had a soul mate and she was perfect..in every way.
(OOC: Sorry for short post..WB)
Once she was done, she glanced at the nearest to admire herself. She wore an eye-catching cocktail dress of sapphire blue color. The glaring straps with beaded adornment linked the fitted bodice with crisscross pleats showing off her slim figure. The crisscross bare back and cut-out around the waist offered an alluring view. The skirt fel down with slight pleats to graze just at the lower part of her thighs, revealing a sexy amount of legs without showing too much. For the sake of not doing too much, Jess wore simple heels that brought out the dress and her hair was simply brushed out in its natural curls. She looked good - too good, if she was being her cocky self - and no, it wasn't for anyone in particular. Not like he'd notice, she thought glumly before exiting the room to enter the banquet.
Once there, Jessica did what she needed and mingled more, smiling at people charmingly. She made sure to avoid the Ocean Moon pack and grabbed the nearest glass of champagne. As the bubbly liquid greeted her tongue, Jessica's eyes fell on Anne talking to some strange man. She watched Anne's eyes water and immediately, the protective pack member inside of her arose. She moved through the throng of wolves, catching the faintest hint of...what was that? Vampires? Were there vampires here? Shaking her head at that absurdity, Jessica approached Anne with concern, eyeing the strange man near her pack member.
"Anne, are you alright?"
Anne couldnāt wait any longer and asked her brother āHow could you leave me Luke?! Every day I waited and waited for you to come backā Anne spoke rapidly as tears streamed down her face, she felt heavy and had a hard time breathing normally.
Luke was speechless he had practiced this scenario so many times in his head yet the words couldnāt come out of his red lips, he barely muttered a few undecipherable blabber because he also started sobbing, āI wish I knew what to say, I am so sorry Annieā¦ for everythingā.
He came closer to Anne and hugged her affectionately, she resister for a moment, and hit Lukeās chest for a moment while he kept hugging her. āWhy didnāt you come back for me?ā she yelled in her troubled mind, as Luke kept on comforting her, she then hugged him back wishing she could know his reasons. She was about to ask him when she answered her own question āI know whyā she thought to herself for a moment, beck then she didnāt know, but she knew he has experienced his first full moon as a wolf, he wanted to be a free wolf. She understood because she had felt the same way, when she had also shifted for the first time, she was frightened and terrified, it was extremely painful, but becoming a wolf, gave her a feeling that she had long gone thought she had forgotten, the feeling of finally belonging, the feeling of belonging to something greater than anything else she had ever thought mattered. Despite her understanding, Anne felt betrayed, hurt and abandoned,āThatās not enough, I can't forgive you yetā.
After a long silence Anne carefully retrieved herself from her brotherās arms, and she took a few steps back taking her distance from her own brother. She couldnāt trust him; Luke knew exactly that and knew he needed to gain his sisterās trust.
Anne could not help herself as she once again began tearing down, she was about to walk away when she heard someone approaching,
āAnne, are you alright?ā
Anne turned around to see Jessica, the healer of her pack. Anne nodded as she began whipping her tears, she wanted to be seen strong and reliable rather than fragile and emotional.
Anne appreciated Jessicaās concern, but didnāt want to worry her, she then replied, āIām fineā with a firm and steady tone of voice.
Luke immediately wiped his tears and composed himself, he then starred at the girl that suddenly approached him an Anne, he didnāt want to create any more problems for Anne, he turned around to gaze the girl and told her with his flirtatious tone of voice ādonāt worry beautiful, I was just about to leaveā. He approached Anne and whispered to her ear, āIāll see you again soon sister" Luke walked away in a steady pace, yet he had not regained his overconfidence, instead he was wishing he could find the right words for his next encounter with his sister.
OOC: I realize the gif is kind of strange (because he needs to be wearing a tux and all) still... I wanted to add it in here haha.
She wasn't affected.
"Don't worry beautiful, I was just about to leave." Just as he leaned into Anne to whisper to her, as Jessica assumed, she folded her arms over her chest and glared at the side of his face.
"Good," she growled and heard him whisper to Anne that he'd see her again soon. Jessica rolled her eyes and gave him a frosty smile when he walked away. As soon as he was gone, Jessica's gaze moved to Anne and concern returned to her eyes, the orbs turning green with worry. She placed her hand on the pack doctor's shoulder and squeezed gently. "Hey, honey. Are you alright? Do I need to go claw some sense in that guy?" She felt like an over-protective mother asking crazy questions, but Jess couldn't help it. This was her pack and she'd be damned if anyone hurt a single member.
Jessica growled at Luke as he left, and then turned her gaze at Anne who was now filled with worried thoughts, she then remembered Jessica was standing beside her, Anne felt Jessicaās soft touch at her shoulder, a simple gesture that reassured her,
āHey, honey. Are you alright? Do I need to go claw some sense in that guy?ā
Anne chuckled at this and simply shook her head in amusement, āItās all good Jess, thank you. I think the hormones at this place are getting to me now, but if I need help to beat up my older brother I know who to callā Anne laughed and simply smiled at Jessica thanking her for having her back, she knew Jessica was a bright young girl, if she had to ever pick on someone to take after her being the pack doctor it would definitely be her. She then stroke Jessicaās hair in affection, she felt appreciated and at the same time surprised at herself knowing she had told someone she had a brother.
Anne was happy to learn that her pack had her back; she was pleased and thought to herself, āthis is my pack, this is my family nowā.
Jessica laughed with Anne, grinning that the older girl was finally smiling. She'd have been upset if Anne remained sad and would have had to have some words with who Anne called her brother. That piece of evidence, by the way, was surprising. As long as she'd been in Shadow Moon, Anne had never said anything about having a brother to anyone. Sure, she and Jess hadn't talked that much before, but still. It was surprising information and it flattered Jessica that she would be that honest. Anne began stroking Jessica's hair and Jess' smile widened. As an only child, Jessica had longed for an older sibling and having somone pet her like one brought back that longing. Shaking her head, Jessica spotted a servant bringing around another tray of champagne. She finished the rest of hers in one gulp and grabbed two glasses, handing one to Anne.
"I think the hormones are getting to everyone," she replied dryly and toasted Anne. Jessica glanced around the room, hoping to catch at least a glimpse of Renier. Sadly, she didn't see him and her smile wavered for a second before she shook it off. Again, whatever she had felt before was nothing more than residual feelings from a crush she harbored for him at one point. It would pass and her infatuation would turn to her rightful mate. She turned her eyes back to Anne, praying like hell that any traces of longing would be gone from her face. "How has your search for your mate gone?
Jessica grabbed a glass of champagne and drank it in a flash, "she sure knows how to drink", Anne thought and smiled again. Jess offered one to Anne and she accepted it happily, "I could surely use a drink right now" she thought to herself. She drank it slowly, wishing that each time she drank from the glass would make her feel better and better.
mate after saying the word, her thoughts returned to the Play boy that she had seen before, the handsome boy with the beautiful blonde hair, that strong male that screamed to be an Alpha because of his strong appearance, she sigh for a moment as she remembered being all over protective of a group of females. "yup a totally playboy" she repeated in her mind.Jessica spoke again,
"I think the hormones are getting to everyone" Anne laughed and nodded on agreement, Anne noticed Jessica getting distracted for a moment searching in the crowd for someone, she wondered who it was that made the little girl lose her smile in a second and felt deeply concerned, she knew something was wrong. She wanted to ask her, but Jessica spoke before her,
"How has your search for your mate gone?"
Anne shook her head before she could explain herself, "let's just say I am not the luckiest female in this fancy castle" she raised her glass to simulate a toast now as she asked "what about you, have you meet a dreamy wolf?".
Jessica tensed the minute the question escaped Anne's lips. She chuckled dryly and took a drink of her champagne, avoiding Anne's gaze. How do you tell your pack mate that your soul mate might just be the alpha of your pack? Not like it was wrong or anything, but Jess had her doubts. Why would anyone pair her with an Alpha? And more importantly, why would they pair her with anyone? She wasn't...good enough to be anyone's mate. She might as well simply remain a healer.
It was pathetic, yes, for her to have such an inferiority complex. But it was there and it haunted Jessica like crazy. Like, seriously! Who was she to even have a mate? She led a horrible life before she met her pack. Sure, she hadn't been some whore like most of the girls she knew. But, Jessica had never been a deserving person. And Renier of all people!? Surely, she would never deserve him.
"...long story," Jess decided after hesitation. She finally glanced at Anne's face, biting her lower lip at the piercing stare. "Probably wrong about...my assumptions." Jessica shrugged. "Perhaps I don't even have one." She put on a big, bright smile and toasted Anne again. "To being single." Jessica drank her champagne quickly, downing the drink. It wasn't good enough; she'd need something stronger if she wanted to not think about Renier.
"why do you smell of vampire?" she growled, but the man just turned his head and ignored her which just made her angry.
"listen you punk I....." Adrian stopped when the strong scent of vampire hit her noise and a hissing scream echoed in her ears as she was thrown into a wall. The pale vampire grabbed Bryarly by the neck and threw her to the floor then looked up at the boy and nodded at him before the vampire turned back to Adrian.
"Ready to die yet bitch?" it hissed then charged at Adrian.
Jessica slowly swallowed from her champagne which seemed weir seeing how she had quickly drank the previous one. Anne waited for Jessica to break the silent and she did,
āā¦long storyā she said as she took her time to continue, Anne stared at her attentively and affectionately, smiling warmly, she wanted Jess to feel comfortable, but instead Jess bit her lip as she spoke again hesitantly, āprobably wrong aboutā¦ my assumptionsā as she shrugged, Anne knew the feeling, she felt the same way about the blonde boy. āhe canāt be my mate, I donāt want to be another one of his girls. Heāll just break my heart and betray meā. Jess spoke again, āperhaps I donāt even have oneā. Anne shook her head in disbelief; she was a beautiful and smart young girl, it would be impossible for her not to have a mate, instead she simply replied, "perhaps we both don't have one".
Jessica once again smiled brightly as she made a toast, āto being singleā. Anne smiled back at Jessica as she replied, āand to that I say cheers!ā Anne winked at Jessica, as she told her, āI say we need something stronger than a champagne, although between you and me I am not a good drinkerā. Anne smiled embarrassed at herself, she was much older than Jessica and knew that the little girl besides her knew how to handle her drinks way better than she could ever do. Yet tonight Anne wanted to forget about everything, even if it meant to get completely drunk.
Anne then remembered her position as the pack's doctor, she turned her gaze at the floor as she became embarrassed as she looked totally unprofessional but there was no turning back, Jessica was now her friend, more like her little sister, and Anne felt she could trust her.
The vampire threw her to the ground, hard enough that she tasted a slight amount of blood. She yelped, but when she saw the vampire launching itself at Adrian, she snarled. She forced herself off the ground and lunged not at the vampire, but at Adrian. She threw her out of the way roughly, and jumped at the vampire. "Get the others!" Bry called to Rain as she shifted into a small, snow white wolf and pounced on the female.

She had managed to sneak into the sickening ceremony without any real issues. It made her sick how hormonal this breed was, they can only think about one thing and one thing only. She had masked her scent for but when one of the others had come to talk to the contact and left his scent so all the werewolves were on high alert. "I'm screwed anyway might as well have fun." she laughed to herself as she moved threw the crowd towards the female Lycan that was about to beat-up their contact. "Ready to die yet bitch?" was all Claudie said releasing any cover over her vampire scent, then let her fangs show. She jumped on Adrian pushing her to the ground, holding onto her neck.
Lucas
Lucas's head snapped around when the scent of vampire reached his nose, all at once the scent was over powering there was a whole team of vampires!! about 20 were revealed to be vampires, wolves started transforming left and right to fight. Lucas turned to see a female dressed in a tight black dress, who happened to be choking his mate. "Adrian!!!" he yelled but was then tackled by a male vampire. Before Lucas hit the ground he had transformed, Lucas threw his head back and released a blood curling howl. With that all hell broke loose, the male vampire lunged forward determined to land a bite on Lucas. "Kill!kill!kill!" was all his wolf said and then surprisingly changed it's tone "Save Adrian!!"
Seeing Anne and the male wolf was depressing it reminded her of her childhood, which was something she thought she had forgotten. Sabrina gulped laying on the rough landscape of the deep woods.. alone.

Adrian snarled at it as it charged again but Adrian was faster and grabbed the thing by the throat, her sharp teeth piercing the pale flesh and the coppery taste of blood filled her mouth.
The vampire pushed her away hard, his throat going with her and he fell to the ground. Adrian spit out the flesh and went back to her mate. She whimpered asking if he was ok when another vampire grabbed her and flung her into the stone wall. A loud cracking of bone echoed threw the halls and Adrian yelped in pain and fell to her side.
