Howdy-hey, guys & gals. Your friendly neighborhood Sato here.

The RPG Chat is one of our most used tools here at RolePlayGateway, and some hiccups are not uncommon given the sheer number of users accessing it at any given time. Please post here if you are having any issues, and not in the main forum.

When reporting a problem, please try to be as specific as possible. Just saying "the chat is being weird" won't help! Screenshots are helpful, as well.

Before posting a report, try clearing your cache and cookies. That's usually the fix-all for things on this board. If not, feel free to leave a post below!

There is something majorly wrong going on with chat today. I do not know what it is exactly but it is eating posts, lagging chat to a deadstop, and also locking chat until a post is made.

I make a post, then wait for someone to reply to what I just said, so I post again, and BAM, a dozen or more lines of chat are revealed then MY NEW POST is under that dozen or so lines. The same thing happens when IC

What is wrong with chat and the site as a whole ? Just getting to this thread alone hit me witih a 502 Bad Gateway page.

Is Rem working on something ?

EDIT: Danged thing, went and hit post and BAM got hit with a HTTP 500 internal server error from Chrome. Reloaded and nearly posted this twice.

I'm receiving an error when I try and load chat.

"[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /embed/lib/class/CustomAJAXChat.php on line 691: array_multisort(): Argument #1 is expected to be an array or a sort flag"

It generally goes away when I refresh, but users and text don't load in the chat frame while that error is up.

My Cache is Cleared, also History and I even restarted the browser and my Computer

I restarted my browser and even cleared my cache, avatars are still gone http://i47.tinypic.com/2ebhgsj.jpg is the result.

Apparently clearing cache was a bad idea because before I cleared my cache it was not happening.

Chat is also loading slower then normal as well

I haven't cleared my cache in FF and it looks normal.

Even after updating Adobe Shockwave Player chat still wont show the character avatars as the characters are posted mine included. The very strange thing is the post appears in the characters posting history on the character page. to be honest this is really getting annoying very quickly. Do we have a fix for this ?

Hey.

Chat won't appear in my kindle. I don't know why. It used to when I used it during the summer, but these past few months, it just won't work.

Edit: I mean the chat on the bottom of the screen, not the "RPG Chat" chat tab. Sorry, I couldn't find a forum for that chat.

Well I got this problem. Whenever I log in to my account I can't see the bar below that is normally there that shows the chat and etc. And when I go to a chat tab on one of the roleplays I am participating this message pops-up:

Query: SELECT userID, userName, ip, type FROM ajax_chat_bans WHERE NOW() < dateTime; Error-Report: Table 'db_gateway.ajax_chat_bans' doesn't exist Error-Code: 1146

Anyone knows what this means and what has happened? I tried entering on another account (created one just for the purpose of testing) and the same thing is happening over there, chat does not work and when in a chat tab this message above appears. I am scared that I may have been banned from the chat because of the word 'chat_bans' that is on the message above. But banned from doing what? I only use the chat to talk with friends. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I just found out this thread and unfortunately I made another one asking the same question and I don't know how to delete it.

The chat has also disappeared for me as well. The site only recently came back online yesterday after it went down for a moment. The chat seemingly has not recovered unlike the remainder of the site. Hopefully this has already been addressed and is being fixed.

Both the shoutbox and the general chat boxes are dead after the site admin restored the site after what was deemed a "security breach." When the site was restored, the tabs were also redirecting users to the main page, but that was recently fixed.

Cloudflare was treating my computer as if I had led a DDoS attack on the site.

The chat will be back, in time. The site was hacked and cloudflare was treating everyone as if it were a DDOS Attack. Rem, the site admin, has gone on the books as saying that he is restoring services one at a time as he corrects the vulnerability that allowed the attack.

Chats are kind of notoriously vulnerable however, and he's only one man working on this. Please give him lots of time. The chat is currently meant to be down.

At least we know something caused the site to go down. I for one, enver expected a hacking attack to do it. At least we also know Rem is working on it. The good news is, he's got all the time he needs or wants, I for one wont put any pressure on him whatsoever; He'll get everything back to 100% soon, the question of how soon, I dunno how to answer or even if I did know how to answer, what to say to that.

At least we got the forums and can post our characters in places! That alone makes me quite happy
