"I haven't gotten to know her very much since I moved here, but she seems decent enough."

Their relationship isn't much to talk about as it almost doesn't exist. They see each other in the halls or at certain events that the school holds, but other than that they haven't interacted much or even really talked. They're nice and polite enough to each other. At the moment there is nothing of importance to note about those two.

"Not much to say as we don't really talk, all I know is that he's the local doctor's son."

Just like most of the students at Oakville High, Taylor and Edward don't have much of a relationship. He usually keeps to himself and she keeps to herself more often than not. She wouldn't be turned away from being his friend, but she won't force anything out of anyone as she doesn't really plan to stick around this town, at least that was the plan until the shitshow happened and now they're stuck there.

"She's one of the few people I seem to always have an affinity of having to save."

Just in the short time that Taylor has been in Oakville, it seems like it's every other day or every few days that she's had to come to the aid of Addison. Seeing how many if not most of the students are full-on assholes, she's had to come and help out Addison a couple of handful of times, and she isn't entirely opposed to it. She stands up for the weaker ones or at least those that don't like standing up for themselves. Seeing as she was raised to help others, she has no issue with punching someone in the face or telling them to fuck off for someone else that may be too timid to do it themselves. Taylor knows Addison probably doesn't like always having someone come to her aid, but Taylor can't help it, besides, she kind of has some unknown and untalked about feelings for the poor girl, even though she knows she's straight.

xxxxxx (☯) Ollie Mitchell-Brown (☯)
"He's nice enough, but too quiet and too himself half the time to really get to know him."

Their relationship is more so one of the complicated ones. They're both nice to each other whenever they speak, occasionally giving each other a nod when they pass by then talking, but she can't help but feel like something is off about him. She won't force being friends with him, but in a world like this, having more people you can trust makes your chances of survival higher and more likely. But she won't pursue anything from him if he doesn't want to be friends with her back.

"Calvin? Oh, you mean that Calvin! Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy, even though he's scared of me."

Their relationship is currently ongoing and Taylor isn't one to be against being friends with anyone. But it's the small voice in the back of her head that tells her this is useless as whenever this, well, whatever it is is over, they'll go back to their old lives and Taylor plans on moving out of state once the school year is over. But with the world going like this? The better and close the relationship you have with your friends is everything, and maybe their bond will finally grow stronger if Calvin ever decides to talk to her outside of classwork and small talk.

"She's that girl that's always talking about saving the planet, can't help but have a soft spot for her."

Much like Addison and some of the others, Eppie is one of the students that tends to get picked on from some of the others. Usually, those that think what she's passionate about is pointless or stupid. Behind the girl's back Taylor has helped her out more than she'd probably known, often putting back up the posters that the others tear down or help clean up some of the messes they make. She hates that people still bully others and usually has the other student's backs, even if they may not realize it.

"The Pastor's kid? Yeah, my mom thought it'd be good for me to be friends with his son, he's alright though."

Their relationship is an interesting one to say for sure. They aren't the best of friends, but they are nice enough whenever they speak, which isn't surprising since Aaron is nice to everyone. They were forced to be friends as Taylor's mother thought it would be the best idea to have her "rebellious" daughter be friends with the pastor's son to hopefully "cleanse her of her sins" and "help" her as she put it. For the first few months, it was a rocky and awkward friendship, but after the awkwardness mellowed out they became friendly enough, but not to the point where they'd go as far as to say they are best friends. But with the world going to absolute shit, who knows what will come of it, as even Taylor is a little uncertain about whatever the fuck is going on and could need someone to listen to her worries.

xxxxxx(☯) Joanna Sanchez (☺)
"Ah yes, the Black Sheep in the pastor's family, much like myself, me and her get along better than her brother if that's anything to go off of."

Seeing how they couldn't be any more alike in their families, as well as overall personalities, it isn't surprising that they get along as well as they do. They're not the best of friends, but they're the closest thing to that as far as Taylor is concerned. But it still remains that she is the pastor's daughter and Taylor's mother would have a stroke if she found out she was "communing with the filthy" as her mother would put it. But Taylor has never given a single fuck about who she hangs out with according to her mother, and now that all the parents are gone, who knows what could come from this dangerous duo in a parentless world, and what temptations could lie ahead for Taylor.

xxxxxxDusty Jackson (☠)
"I got nothing to say to him or even give him a second glance aside from him being a major asshole. Best to stay away from him honestly."

Taylor isn't the biggest fan of him for obvious reasons, ever since she first moved to Oakville he was nothing but an asshole to everyone and anyone he came across. Their interactions were small before any of this all started, but even then she tried to stay away from him, seeing that he had a small group of goons with him no matter what. She'll do whatever she has to to stay away from him, but if push comes to shove she isn't afraid to have to fight him, as she was trained by her father who was in the military.

xxxxxxCJ Jackson (☯)
"I tolerate him more than his brother, but even that doesn't forgive him for how he still treats people."

Taylor finds him more of the tolerable twin in his family, but even then she can't stomach him for how he acts, as if he can't even act or think on his own. If anything she pities him, but keeps him at an arms length and then some as he isn't entirely innocent and actually agrees with what her mother said about them.

xxxxxxEmory Jacobs (☯)
"Not much to say about someone that you don't really know that well."

Taylor never really got to know Emory, seeing as they've never talked much. They're nice enough to each other whenever they've passed each other in the halls. All she really knows is that he's one of the kids on the paper route, and has no real issues with him unlike some of the people she knows.

"He's one of the few people I've known the longest, he's cool."

Taylor has known Andy almost since the very first day that she moved to the town, they've been friendly and have bonded over their love for music as well as their natural talent and inclination for them. She has a feeling that he likes her slightly more than a friend would, and she hates the thought of knowing full well that one day she'll have to break it to him that she doesn't feel the same way for him that he feels for her. But even then, for her it doesn't ruin or make their friendship. They've easily stood up for each other and have had each other's backs since day one, and nothing can break that now even with things having gone to shit.

Diana and Joanna have had a ongoing feud since the election for study body president. It was a tough fight, but Diana won in the end. Joanna has hated her ever since. In her mind, Diana is the perfect, little snob who is used to getting her way. Joanna became the reluctant vice president and made it her mission to make Diana's life harder. So far, she's done well. Who knows what'll happen after all the adults are gone...

"I have a soft spot for cute athletes."

Joanna has a thing for attractive, talented athletes and Edward fits that description. She's had a small crush on him for the last couple of months and is laying the groundwork for him to become interested in her. Her interest in him is purely superficial, as she sees Edward has her ticket out of this town. Little does she know, her interest is not returned.

Joanna doesn't really know Addison. They don't run in the same circles and Addison isn't her type of person, too tame. Unfortunately, Addison has made herself an easy target for bullies, Joanna being one of them. It's not like she intentionally sought out Addison and all her other friends were doing it. It doesn't matter to her since Addison is not important in her mind.

"All I know is that he makes me look good on stage."

The only reason Joanna is aware that Ollie exists is, because they were in Drama Club together. He usually worked the tech side while Joanna was on stage so they didn't bond too much. Joanna would only go to him if she was worried about how she sounded or if the lights washed her out too much. She has nothing against the boy, but nothing to make her like him either.

Joanna recognizes a fellow rebel when she sees one. The two girls were the black sheep of their respective families and what a great thing to bond over. They aren't very close due to the newness of their bond, but Joanna sees a potential girlfriend in her. She looks forward to seeing where this friendship goes.

Besides being her brother's best friend, Joanna didn't really know Calvin until a few years go. She had been going through a mental crisis and was constantly on drugs so she hadn't made the best decisions. She had begun to deal for the Jackson brothers and was the one who introduced Calvin to adderall. He kept coming back and Joanna made a profit off him before she was sent to rehab. She's aware of his drug problem and knows she played a role in causing it. She worries he'll tell Aaron about that side her life, which she would rather keep under wraps.

"I think she's on the school paper?"

Joanna doesn't really know who Eppie is. She's seen her on a few of her 'save the world' exploits where she tried to get students to care about the world or viscosity or something. Joanna felt the heat during her anti-bullying campaign, but no one would dare to try and report her. She has no feelings towards her and is content to leave her be.

"I owe him a lot. He's my brother and he's never turned his back on me, even when I deserved it."

It was hard to constantly live in the shadow of her 'perfect' older brother. Joanna felt resentment for him for a long time, but Aaron loved her despite all the hell she put him through. They bicker and irritate each other like crazy, but they would do anything for the other. She wants to protect Aaron, like he's protected her. While Aaron hasn't actually told her, Joanna is aware of his sexuality and loves him regardless.

"Ah, my best bad decision. He's a good friend and an even better friend."

When Joanna was going through her mental crisis, she became very close with the Jackson brothers. She was a dealer for them as way to get more drugs and make some money on the side. Joanna became close with Dusty and one day she had enough of her abusive boyfriend, and was drunk and high, so she gave into Dusty's advances. They've continued their friends with benefits relationship, becoming better friends because of it. It's nothing serious, but Joanna appreciates the moments when he actually treats her like a person. She has stopped running drugs for them, but he's been trying to pull her back in to the chaos.

"Don't judge a book by its cover. He keeps me sane in this town."

Despite hooking up with the other brother, CJ is her favorite brother. They have a more personal and emotional connection compared to Dusty. Joanna feels she can be herself with him, less of the HBIC. They'll go get high together and the shoot the breeze, letting go of the defenses they've built up. CJ has always had her trust and would do anything to protect him.

He began studying her disorder so he could be better equipped to help her. No matter how much trouble Joanna may cause him, Aaron loves her. They often make jabs at each other and intentionally annoy the other, but there is love behind their actions.

Dusty Jackson tests Aaron’s ‘love one another’ attitude so much. The boy is rude, violent, and a terrible influence on those around him. Aaron blames him for having a negative influence on Joanna and has repeatedly asked Dusty to stay away from her. Their hatred for each other is mutual, but they attempt to be civil for Joanna’s sake. They stay out of each other’s way, but Aaron can’t help trying to him, knowing it can’t be done.

Aaron feels the same way about CJ that he does about Jackson, but to a lesser extent. CJ is a follower and is obviously doing what his brother says. They don’t always agree with each other, but are comfortable enough to have discussions about it. Andy helped Didi get the test she cheated on. He does not even remember which one of them came with the idea, but he feels guilty since he knows she could have done it on her own.

Nope, Andy will never have the highest grades in the class. He accepted that long ago, there are more than enough people in town who were extremely academic and Andy did not need to be one of them. In comes his father, paying Addi as a tutor for Andy. How embarrassing for the dean to have a B-student for a son. Andy couldn’t hate Addi, she was too nice, and she had done nothing wrong. But the whole situation didn’t make him extremely fond of her either.

Andy and Ollie used to be friends. Unfortunately both of them used to be bullied when they were younger. When Andy noticed his jokes and stunts could make people laugh, he also noticed he got bullied less. He grabbed the lifeline with both hands, and distanced himself from Ollie to avoid bullying by association. Now when they’re older, Andy is still ashamed of what he did. He doesn’t even know where to start to apologise, and he is too embarrassed to bring it up. He was hoping to escape all of this when he would leave Oakville.

When they are concentrated and work together she seems to be a different person all together, more like the girl he remembered from elementary. He is wondering how much of her attitude is an act.

Humor can solve many issues. In no way he had ever thought that his daring jokes against some of the ‘rougher’ kids would work with everyone, least of all Dusty. But to his surprise Dusty actually seemed to enjoy his jokes and sometimes his company. Andy’s dad hated the twins and sometimes he thinks Dusty is just ice to him to annoy his father, inviting him to the parties and all. Andy is hella confused by all of this and is still scared of him. He tries to avoid Dusty, or at least keeps his exposure minimum. Andy wasn’t punched in the face yet, but never say never.

There is a glint in his eye, a menacing look out to get Andy. Whenever Dusty is around CJ doesn’t seem to be close to throwing a punch. The fact that CJ went to prison does not help to alleviate Andy’s feelings at all.

He's the type of guy that she kind of avoids looking at if she can, and maybe he's caught her hide a blushing face behind a textbook a time or two. Addie notices that he sometimes stares at her, but figures that it's for the same reason as everyone else. He's a jock. She's only a casual jock. She's way out of his league, and she's not allowed to have boyfriends or any life anyway, so she keeps her crush quiet. A lot of it has to do with a fear of what she guarantees will be humiliating rejection.

The Ollie and Addison friendship is a strange one. It is perhaps built upon the foundation of not really having friends, to begin with. It's awkward at best. It may be that Addison knows something that others do not, and she can be a little bit worried from time to time. She tries her very best to keep her distance from his medical conditions, but now that they are on their own - her worrying levels just sky-rocketed. She'd love to be there for him but is content to be someone he can hang out with when the mood strikes while also giving him plenty of space.

She's not sure why Taylor sticks up for her sometimes. Especially since she's friends with some of Addie's bullies. However, if she could have anyone in her corner, it would be this girl. Taylor is just herself, and there's nothing wrong with who she is as a person. She can hang out with whomever she wants, but Addie will always see her as a friend that she can count on.

She'd love to be friends with Calvin for so many reasons. They've competed in the Chemistry Olympiad together, and are both total smart and kind people. She's insecure, he's insecure - it's probably what's kept them at an arm's length away from each other. They also both share the drug addiction that is common among kids with parents that force them to do everything under the sun academically. They would understand each other more than anyone else, but she doesn't have many friends or much desire to risk getting to know anyone. Even kindred spirits like Calvin.

Despite being a woman of science, Addison finds comfort in Aaron's more religious soul. God and science go hand in hand in some ways, but she was never raised to be religious. He's kind, and she more than needs a little bit of warmth from someone around here. His words give her a little bit of hope in her bleak time, and sometimes she even feels like she belongs to something - even if her parents are never home and more than half of the school avoids her. However, she's a relatively closed book, and she'd never trust him with her insecurities. Dusty & CO. made it more than obvious that she didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, as did her parents.

He is the reason that her life in Oakville has been absolute hell. Addie rejected him when he invited her someplace, and he really took it personally. It almost feels like he has dedicated far too much time to make sure that she's the school pariah. The reason that she avoids pretty much the lunch area, never takes the same route more than once, and seems to be on the constant edge is because of him. He makes her miserable, and for no real reason, either. It doesn't help that she's smart, and well - dumb boys always pick on smart girls. If it weren't for the few protectors and friends she has, it could be so much worse.

Joanna and Dusty have a confusing relationship to the outside observer. They spend 90% of their time together either fighting or having sex. She challenges him constantly, which pisses him off and is something he wouldn't allow anyone else to do. Not even Dusty. And she seems to be always on the lookout for something better, up and leaving him whenever a shiny new toy catches her eye. Dusty doesn't care though, his egos too big, he knows she'll always come back to him.

Being on the debate team together, Eppie and Diana have certainly gotten to know one another. Do they always see eye-to-eye? No. Can they argue to a legendary degree, both unwilling to relent their point? Yes. Do they absolutely respect one another? Certainly. Both girls have very big personalities, and while they occasionally clash, they have proved to always be at least respectful of one another.

Eppie doesn't really know Edward, she's not had a lot of chances to really talk to him. She's not overly bothered by not knowing him, either.

Addison and Eppie are not close, their relationship revolves mostly around a mutual love of running outdoors, and a mutual understanding that it was probably a good idea not to do so alone. Eppie wouldn't likely go to Addison for advice with any personal problems, but they're certainly friendly.

It isn't that they don't get along, they just have never had enough in common to really become friends. Maybe if they were in the same grade, or had more of the same interests. As it is, their relationship is mostly just pleasantries and familiarity.

Eppie and Taylor probably haven't shared a single proper conversation, even still, Eppie can tell that Taylor's heart is in the right place. She can also tell that Taylor tries to help her out, and it's not that it's unappreciated, but Eppie gets very tired of people trying to fight her battles for her. Maybe it's her small size, but she often feels like people assume she can't handle herself. Even still, she knows it comes from a good place, so she hasn't said anything.

"He's probably the smartest person I know."

All Eppie really knows about Calvin is that he's smart; a reputation he's more than earned. He's always seemed to be too busy for friends, or maybe just too awkward for them. He seems happy with a smaller amount of friends, and Eppie is happy to not have to try to constantly look up to talk to him.

While Eppie doesn't appreciate the constant invitations to church, she knows that Aaron is probably doing the only thing he really knows how to do. It seems to stem from wanting to include her, which is nice... But she wishes he'd take the hint, already. She pities him, a little; he seems entirely too wrapped up in church.

They don't talk. Never really have, Eppie isn't sure they ever will. Eppie isn't a cool person to hang around, so Joanna doesn't hang out with her. She gets left alone, and she mostly doesn't mind.

There isn't much in the world that gets Eppie's blood boiling quite like people who are cruel just for the fun of it, and when it's personal, it's even worse. At first, Dusty (and CJ) really got to her. She was an easy target: small body, big opinions. She doesn't let them get to her, anymore. Sometimes she fires back at them; it's rarely anything witty, normally just retorts about how being mean won't get them anywhere in life, but it makes her feel better.

Eppie doesn't think any higher of CJ than she does of his brother.

Andy and Eppie grew up together; their fathers bonded over stuffy teaching jobs, their mothers bonded over having kids the same age, and they bonded the way many children do: by climbing trees and playing pretend. As they grew older, they grew apart. It's a natural thing: they run in different circles, have different interests. They still see each other often enough (dads are still friends, after all), and Eppie will probably always consider Andy to be her friend.

When Emory was tasked with starting the school paper back up, he knew he wanted Eppie on his team. The two of them are both stubborn to a fault, and while they occasionally butt heads, when they work together they are truly a force to be reckoned with.
