RolePlayGateway Scheduled Maintenance, February 29th

Hello everyone!

As RolePlayGateway continues to grow (we hit an all-time high of over 2,000 online users last night), it is important for us to undergo routine maintenance to keep the machinery powering the site running at optimal performance. You might have noticed lately that there are increasing amounts of downtime, especially during peak hours. We aim to fix this.

As part of this, we'll be taking the site offline for three hours on the morning of February 29th, from 2am EST to 5am EST. We hope this does not provide any inconvenience, but please be aware of the site's unavailability for this time.

We'll work as quickly as possible to bring the site back online after the maintenance. Thank you all for being a part of this healthy community, allowing for this kind of growth!

Tiko: Mhm. We have nothing against the inclusion of an adult scene in an RP, as long as its tastefully written as such. We're not a site for writing erotica. Not that there's anything wrong with it, this just isn't the place for it. Would be like flipping to the history channel and suddenly, full blown porn.

i keep being randomly logged out, is this happening to anyone else? This hasn't ever happened before and I don't think I"m being hacked. (Nothing weird, no random posts and nothing is being changed) It's only starting to anger me because I just wrote a long post and (for the first time in like, a year) didn't 'copy' it and after I hit "submit" it was gone. -.-' Because I got logged out.

Yeah, the same exact thing happened to me. I wrote this giant DM post, didnt Copy it, and hit Submit... And it logged me out. It took me 2 hours to rewrite it... -.-'

I don't think I've ever had that happen on this site, but I've certainly had it happen on others. As a result, anything I want to post online, I always write as an .rtf document first. That way, I never have to worry about losing what I wrote. I've got a backup. And it only took me two years to learn that lesson! :o lol

To those being infrequently logged out - clear your browser's cache/cookies. Also check to make sure your account isn't logged in on any other browsers you may have on your computer, or on another computer entirely! I had the latter problem. Make sure you clear your cache on the other computer as well.
