He rinsed himself off and turned off the water. "Hey Jared, you didn't happen to grab a blanket or something did you?" Jared blinked at Kathleen's voice.
"I grabbed a towel..." his voice trailed away as he realized what the other was getting at. "You forgot one didn't you?"
She puled her wet hair up and squeezed it out as she spoke. "We can change you bandages when we get back if you." she rooted around for her clothes in her bag. She found a pair of camo pants and a tanktop, as well as a jacket. She reached deeper and found some socks and dedicates.
I should have some boots back downstairs, she thought as she piled the clothes on the bench.
Or maybe he would be able to just continue standing there and drip himself dry, drop by drop...
"I'm sorry to do this but I'm wearing a white shirt..." she wiped herself down and tossed it back over.
"It's really absorbent, must eb one my dad invented...still feels dry." She walked back over to her stall and put ehr clothes on, she stepped out into the Ail as she braided her long brown hair.
He quickly dried himself and dressed. He especially had quite some difficulty pulling on a pair of pants with one arm. "You're right," he muttered half to himself and half to Kathleen. "It's a bit tight-fitting."
He sighed as he considered whether or not to struggle into a shirt. It had been hard enough getting out of his old one let alone getting into a new one... Jared frowned and rummaged within the bag. "Aha!" He pulled out a button-up shirt and slipped it on one arm. "Now for the hard part..." Slowly, he eased his arm through. "Hey, Kathleen, can you help me clean up my arm and replace this cast?" He asked as he began the slow process of buttoning up the shirt.

Eden squeaked when she was poked in the stomach, a strange noise, that made her laugh a little. She waited until Skyler had gathered firewood and such and started cutting the deer before she approached him. She clasped her paws behind her back and perked over his shoulder at what he was doing, unsure of wether or not her assistance was needed. She watched him work contentedly, rocking back and forth on her heels ever so often.
After a moment, she stood straight and stretched, looking up at one of the broken windows to see a few birds fly by, their song drifting through the broken glass. Eden blinked. She'd never seen this type of bird before. Then again, she'd stayed in the same place most of her entire life. She tilted her head to one side. What else was different in this strange place?

"Sure, I'll go get everything ready for you."
She turned turned and made her way down the stairs. She passed through a hall and into the main room, then through to her medical room. Placing her things on top, she pushed a table to the middle of the room and brushed it off. Her coat was crisp, and faintly smelled like the soap she had used. She pulled it on, and grabbed one of the medical cases. It made a *thunk* as she dropped it on the table, and the latches opened with ease.
She began setting up her equipment and waited for Jared, and anyone else who needed medical treatment to come.
She stretched her legs out in front of her on the windowsill and pushed the pane open a little more, so she could feel the cool breeze across her face.
Skyler couldn't help staring at her for a short while smiling awkwardly, than catching himself as he walked toward the darkened areas "Coming with?" Skyler said as he walked into the darkness.
Eden kept looking about as she followed Skyler. Her eyes were sharp, but even she could only see his muscular outline in the dark recesses of the warehouse. She almost ran right into a wall. With a small cry of surprise, she reached out to steady herself, placing a paw on the cool brick wall. She had a hard time seeing two inches in front of her face.
"I'm taking you to the second floor to this place. Its nice and well lit up there you'll also get to see the stars and such" Skyler said speaking to Eden, he knew using a higher vocabulary would just confuse her. Simple he thought, thats why Eden catches me shes just so simple yet amazing. Continuing to hold her paw as he made his way into a dimly lit room
It was growing dark and Jared caught a glimpse of the clear beautifully starry night sky through the open doors. A chilly wind blew through, running through his still slightly wet hair. Goosebumps rose up on the back of his neck from the cold but Jared couldn't help stopping to stare outside. Maybe after Kathleen helped him with his arm he would visit outside or maybe he would go up to the attic or roof. The night looked wondrous. Shaking off his rather mellow thoughts, Jared smiled and entered the medical room, catching sight of Kathleen.
He waved and moved forward in front of her.
He sat on the table and she began the procedure.
"So about the storage garage..." she began, "I have some furniture, and a safe. We could make it a little homier here, and we could definitely use the money for food and other supplies."
Jared nodded his head slightly. "The money would definitely be helpful, but I don't know how we can lug furniture out - especially to the middle of nowhere - without attracting at least a little attention. We can always rent out a car - or take one if we feel like not using money on that sort of thing." He was thinking out loud, letting his thoughts run away through his mouth.
"Well if we got the money out we could rent a moving truck? It's not strange to be picking up furniture from one of those places, and we could park it somewhere until it was dark and then bring it down to the warehouse? It is owned by someone, so as long as none of the kids are seen, we might be able to slide by without much suspicion. That just severely takes away our man-power though..."
She tugged a little tightly as she finished applying the new cast, "Sorry, if that hurt, but you're all done!"
The bag sitting on the table lay unzipped as she reached in and pulled out a bag pull of pill bottles, She listened as she scanned the labels for something to give him.
"So I suppose I will go to get the money and rent the truck and all that tomorrow night?" He added after a natural pause in his rambling thoughts. "After all, we need to inform the others about this. I wouldn't want them to think that we were under attack and get my arm broken or something again." His tone became slightly joking as he nodded down to the cast in front of him. "I've had enough being beaten up."
She found the bottle she was looking for and handed it to him, "Take these as needed for any pain you have, but no more than 2 every 4 hours."
The bag zipped shut as she tucked the pill bag back into the bag.
"Tomorow night sounds great.
She yawned and stretched, "I'm a little tired any way..It's been a long day. I think I'm going to take a nap." She grabbed a blanket and smiled at Jared, "Unless their is anything else you need?"
((Gonna be at work all night))
Jared accepted the pills and nodded in understanding of Kathleen's instructions. He stashed them away into the breast pocket of his shirt. At Kathleen's question, he shook his head and stood up. "I won't bother you anymore," he said, smiling. "Go rest." He bent his head in farewell and ambled away, putting his free hand into a pocket. Outside of the makeshift medical room, Jared shivered slightly and went to the pile of extra... stuff waiting in a stack. He pulled out a blanket and carefully threw it around his neck.
Then, taking the steps two at a time, he headed towards the highest point he could at that moment. The top floor. Settling down by the window, he leaned against the sill and stared outside at the dark night. He took in the bright twinkling stars, the shadowy masses that were the trees, and his eyes slowly closed as sleep overcame him.

A girl slowly opened her eyes. It hurt to see, but her eyes managed to adjust. All she could see was white. It was a while before she realized she was in a room. An empty white room, with one ceiliing light and a door. It took a few more moments before the girl noticed she was tied to a chair. She looked at herself. Skylar's blood from when he was hit by the bullets were smeared all over her pullover. The scent of the blood irritated her. A sharp sound filled the room. The door was opening and stepping in was the man who knocked her out.
"Hello, Joanne. I see you're awake. I must have hit you little too hard." He gave an ugly sly grin. Joanne took energy to respond, slightly slurring her words.
"Ughh... Not you....Where....Am I...?"
"You're in a safehouse not too far from the city, but far enough so no one knows you're here. Not even your hybrid friends." He slowly gestured to a large vat of water behind Joanne. Her eyesight was so bad she didn't notice it before.
"That there is your punishment. I will continuously dunk you in the water, slowly drowning you. And I won't stop until I feel you've learnt your lesson." His grin widened. He walked up to Joanne and dragged the chair up to the giant basin, and started tilting the chair until Joanne's head was barely touching the surface of the water.
"I don't care if we share the same blood," Joanne hissed. "I will see to it that I'll kill you!"
"What a brave heart you have, Joanne. But I'm afraid your punishment begins now."
