Introduction

Image

Image For centuries, the supernatural has been terrorizing the humans. Killing them for sport or food. Using them as slaves or berating them for pleasure. The stronger the supernaturals felt the more humans died. A society of Hunters formed to kill the supernaturals that were killing or harming humans. As the hunter society started to become widely known among the supernaturals, many of them went into hiding. The human population doubled over without the supernatural population control. But of course a few supernaturals fall through the cracks. There is a war about to break out between Hunters and all Supernaturals. No one is safe anymore. Even the supernaturals that were hiding were now being hunted down.

ImageThe hunter society lives by a code. The code states that "Only hunt those that hunt us." Innocent supernaturals that find other means of food or don't hurt humans are spared. Everyone else is free game. Hunters tend to use various weapons. From automatic weapons to the basic sword. It all depends on the hunter. Only pure iron or pure gold can truly harm supernaturals. To be sure they are dead, they are shot in the head or in the heart for good measure. Among the hunter society is a highly skilled and wise ground of hunters. They are famously known as Moonlight. They are the hunters that deal with the most dangerous of supernaturals. The ones that take out the best of hunters. There punishments vary from torture to death and everything in between. When one of the members of the Moonlight died, it started the war.

Image"You'll figure it out soon enough." Elias pouted a bit at his boyfriend before focusing back on the ingredients in front of him. He was not particularly fond of surprises. As a hunter, he has learned to be quick on his feet and adjust to situations as things change. But that did not mean he enjoyed being left in the dark. Eli knew this surprise was harmless and did not think much of it. He continued to follow Jakub's instructions. He carefully folded the plastic wrap around the dough, unsure of how that helped with anything. He set it down and then moved on to the chicken. Eli started cutting the breasts into squares, mimicking the way that Jake was doing it. He wanted to make sure that he was doing it right. The hunter noticed the demon looking off a bit and followed his gaze. "Are you expecting a call?" He inquired, his gaze returning to the chicken he was still cutting.

Image
Tim had let go of Eliana's hand when she had gotten in the water. Not that he didn't want to hold her hand, but he figured this whole thing was new to the both of them. They had only agreed to start dating the night before. He didn't want to come off too strong or disrespectful. He really cared for Elie and wanted to go at a pace that she was comfortable regarding anything and everything the two were doing. Tim watched her sign, slowly and sloppily, with one hand. He managed to make out the fact that she was having fun. He smiled brightly at her, happy that this city girl was starting to love the outdoors as he does. 'Good' He sunk a bit lower into the river so that the water was now at his shoulders. There is a waterfall nearby that we can go to. Come on." He signed to her, before showing her the way.

ImageVerena needed to come up with a non-demon related hobby while Mathias was at work. She couldn't always hang out with Jakub. Especially cause he had that hunter boyfriend now. Vera didn't have any other friends and too many people were after her to safely make any new ones. "I mean...You can still go places if you need to." Verena raised an eyebrow at Mathias. She thought she was on house arrest. He continued to clarify, clearly trying to get his point across in a way that makes them both happy. "If you get bored, we can go on dates." The demoness gets bored easily, she is going to need more than a date. "I will make sure to keep a low profile anytime I step out of the house." She said with a smile. Then a thought came to her. "Can we go on a date tonight? We haven't had one in a long time. You can even pick the restaurant, but somewhere fancy so I can dress up." she added.

ImageAs much as Jake knew Eli should know how to work a knife, he still couldn't help but watch the hunter closely to make sure he didn't hurt himself. He seemed to be doing an okay job cutting the chicken, so for a moment Jake only focused on his own, until Eli spoke. "Are you expecting a call?" At first the demon wasn't sure why he even asked that, but he soon realized he must have been looking at his phone too often. He thought for a moment, not entirely sure how to answer. Half of him always expected a call, or text, from a certain someone he didn't even want to think about at the moment in fear of ruining his entire day. But he didn't want to share that with Eli. The hunter didn't need to know about Lucio's mild control over Jake. "Not really." he said, cutting off the last chunk of chicken. "I was just thinking I should call Verena soon. I haven't talked to her in a few days." None of what he was saying was a lie. He really did feel the need to check up on his best friend. "Just wanna make sure she's okay." he added. He then took his pile of chopped up chicken and dumped it into a pot, instructing Eli to do the same as he added water and various seasonings. "Okay, now comes the fun part!" he exclaimed, pulling out a pasta machine. He secured it to the edge of the counter and looked up at Eli. "ever seen one of these before?".

ImagePart of Elie couldn't help but feel self-conscious about herself. Thankfully, Tim didn't look at her or talk to her in any way that made her feel uncomfortable. It was just a personal struggle. Most would consider Elie to be one hundred percent confident in herself, strong, independent, and in most cases it was true. But she was also a normal girl. She had insecurities, and one of those happened to be her body. Compared to most girls, Elie tended to be a bit more curvy. On most occasions, she didn't mind it. However, at times like these when she was in front of someone she actually cared for and cared about his opinion, it was hard to not think about. When Tim talked about a waterfall, Elie tried her best to push her self-conscious thoughts to the back of her mind and nodded, letting Tim know she was more than willing to go. He began to guide her, and her gaze grazed over the surroundings. It was so beautiful, peaceful, almost unreal. The exact opposite of what a demon huntress like herself lived on a daily basis. So she willingly followed Tim, soaking every last second of peace while she still could.

ImageMathias hoped Verena wouldn't take his words as a free pass to leave whenever she wanted. Of course he didn't want her to feel trapped, but he also didn't want her to be running out and about without an important reason. Especially not on her own. She promised to keep a low profile, and the wolf chose to believe her. "Can we go on a date tonight? We haven't had one in a long time. You can even pick the restaurant, but somewhere fancy so I can dress up." Although he'd been the one to mention going on dates, the question almost caught him off guard. It really had been a while since the two of them had gone out together on an official date. Vera sounded enthusiastic about the idea, and Mattie had already agreed to letting her leave as long as he was with her. Not to mention, the idea of spending anice night with her outside of the apartment sounded just like what the both of them needed. "Of course" he said, placing a soft kiss o her lips and adding. "I'll make sure to pick a place worthy of your beauty." he smiled, slowly releasing her and taking a step back. "Dress up as much as you want.". He already knew where he would be taking her, but decided to keep it a surprise for the time being.

Elias finished cutting up the chicken and was waiting for further instruction from the sou chef. "Not really. I was just thinking I should call Verena soon. I haven't talked to her in a few days." Eli took a moment to think about the name and why it sounded familiar. Then it hit him. It was Jake's demon friend that had attempted to kill him just a few days ago. The hunter tried not to think about it, scooping up his cut chicken into the pot. "Just wanna make sure she's okay." It was clear that his boyfriend cared deeply for his friend. And they must have made up, if he was thinking about calling her. "You should call her. After we finish." Elias didn't want to be left alone in the kitchen with the food. He was sure to mess it up and that would be a waste of everything they had just accomplished. "Okay, now comes the fun part!" Eli cocked an eyebrow at the site of the contraption on the kitchen counter. "ever seen one of these before?" The hunter shook his head. "What is it for? How do you even use it?" Elias was clearly confused to how it was going to help them make dinner.

Image
Keeping hold of Elie's hand, he took his time getting to the waterfall. He wanted to make sure that she was getting used to the water and taking in her surroundings. It still slightly surprised him that she was so willing to just follow Tim around the campgrounds. Some of his friends prefer to remain at the campsite or cut their walks short. It was nice to have someone that was more than willing to try new things. Especially things that Timothy was actually into. But it was part of the reason he was going so slow. He didn't want to rush Elie or overwhelm her with everything. After a moment, he pulled them over to the edge of the riverbank. Tim made sure Elie was steady and close to the edge. 'The water back is just over the edge. But its best to see it from the side.' He signed to her before climbing out of the water. Once she was also out, he slowly moved to the edge so that she could see the drop of the waterfall.

Image
"Of course" Verena smiled widely at her wolf. They were going to go on a date! She can't remember the last time either of them went on a date. He has been so busy with his wolves and she was busy with her job. But now they can just spend time with one another. "Dress up as much as you want." The demoness didn't need to be told twice. She moved closer to her wolf and kissed him one more time as a premature thank you for the evening. Verena then pulled away and practically ran up the stairs to start getting ready. She had no idea what she wanted to wear, but she knew that she wanted to wear something that would make it hard for Matty to keep his hands to himself. But first a bath. The demoness skipped over to the bathroom and turned on the hot water. She stripped down and stepped inside, taking her time to clean herself and prepare for the date. Once she was clean, she got out and quickly dried herself off. Ditching the towel in the bathroom, she headed over to the dresser for a black lace matching bra and underwear. She went to her closet and pulled out a burgundy lace mini dress. It hugged her in all the right places. Verena then skipped back over to the bathroom to do her hair and make up.

ImageA part of Jake was surprised that Eli didn't say much else about Verena, especially after what she had attempted to do to him. Granted she had done it with the intention of protecting him, and had he been in her he he probably would have done the same. Not to mention he didn't doubt for a second that Eli would jump in to protect his own sister without a second thought. It was a wild relief to know that there was no unnecessary tension. Maybe they could even become friends in the future, who knows?

"What is it for? How do you even use it?" Eli's question brought him back to the task at hand and the contraption in front of them. Eli's confusion was, more than amusing, extremely adorable. But also fully expected, both because Eli had never cooked in his life and also because the contraption was a bit on the older side of life. But it's the only one jake had and the only one he'd ever use. "This is a pasta maker" Jake explains, finally revealing what the two of them had been making all along. His lifted his hands up in a defensive fashion before speaking. "Now I know it looks weird and complicated but it's actually really easy to use." he states. To demonstrate, he splits the pasta dough clump in two, flattens it out a bit with his hands and lets it run through the pasta machine several times until it's a long, flat sheet of dough. "Wanna give it a shot?"

ImageEliana had never been the type to be scared of adventures and trying new things, especially accompanied by people she loved and trusted like Tim. However, she'd also never really been a fan of water. Large bodies of it that is. They kind of intimidated her in some odd way. It was a feeling that no amount of training or demon killing would get her used to. Still she followed Tim without a protest to wherever it was that they were going. Eventually they came to a stop near the edge of the river and Tim immediately explained why before getting out of the water. If she was being honest, Elie was kind of relived that she could get out too. The current was getting stronger the closer they came to the waterfall and she could even hear the hum of the water smashing against the river below. She accepted Tim's help and situated herself on firm ground, her eyes examining her surroundings for the sight of the waterfall but couldn't really see much. At least not until Tim led her closer to the watching point. Her mouth opened slightly at the sight in front of her. It was beautifully terrifying and there wasn't really much she could do except stare in awe.

ImageMathias smiled at the kiss given to him and watched Verena happily race up the stairs. He let his msile widen just a bit, relieved that the two of them had been able to work things out and come to an agreement without the need to argue. Granted, Mathias had never been one to argue and in all their time together, he could only recall having fought with Verena once or twice. He let out a soft sigh and made his way to the guest restroom to shower. Knowing Vera, she would most likely have taken over their bathroom by now. Not to mention she probably wanted whatever it was that she was going to look like to be a surprise. Mattie didn't mind one bit, of course. The guest restroom was smaller but still functional enough. She quickly stripped down and hopped in the shower. The hot water felt great against his skin and perhaps he stayed there longer than he should have, but at least Verena was having more than enough time to get ready. Once the shower was done, the wolf stepped out, wrapped a towel around his waist and headed out into the kitchen to grab a quick snack and a drink. After going back to the small bathroom to fix his hair as much as he could, he finally made his way up to his and Verena's shared room to get dressed. He decided to knock on the door first instead of barging in.

ImageElias was more confused about the meal that Jake was getting him to make than he was before. The metal contraption did not provide any hints to the meal. Finally, the demon gave up the answer. "This is a pasta maker" Now the hunter knew what he was making. He just wasn't sure how to use the contraption. Somehow it was supposed to make the dough look like pasta. "Now I know it looks weird and complicated but it's actually really easy to use." The confusion on Eli's face must have been obvious if Jakub felt compelled to add that. Jakub flawlessly demonstrated how the machine worked. It actually didn't seem that complicated. "Wanna give it a shot?" Elias nodded and took over the position in front of the machine. He repeated his boyfriend's movements. He ran the dough through the machine. "Why didn't we use pre-made pasta?" He questioned, purely out of curiously. He did not mind this way of cooking. In fact he was already thinking of making Izzy and Elie dinner this way, after he buys a pasta maker of course. "Where do you buy a pasta maker?" He added, making a mental note to get one before heading home.

Image
Timothy could tell by Eliana's face that she enjoyed the sight of the waterfall. He was proud of this moment. He was unsure how she would feel about this entire trip, but it seemed as though she was enjoying most of the things that he was getting her to do. Or if she wasn't enjoying it, it seemed like she was. Tim let them stand there for a moment in silence. The roaring sound of the water always felt like music to his ears. After a moment longer, he looked over to Elie. 'We can head back to camp. That way we can dry off and get our clothes.' He signed to her. If they stayed wet and cold too long, they could get a cold and he didn't want that to happen.

ImageVerena finished her makeup and was now curling her hair. She was close to done when she heard the knock on her door. She rolled her eyes playfully. Her wolf was such a gentleman. "You can come on in, love. I am just about done." She called out to him as she finished with the last few strands. Vera unplugged the hair curler and set it down on the sink. She then emerged from the bathroom and headed over to the dresser. The demoness rummaged through her jewelry to find the proper accessories. "How do I look?" She asked him, glancing in his direction.

ImageJakub watched Eli closely as he took over the task. His every move, facial expression, every twist of his fingers and scrunch of the eyebrows. He was clearly confused and perhaps a little frustrated, but he was getting the job done. Jake continued to watch with a subtle smile on his face. The kind of smile you'd only notice if you looked very closely. It was crazy to think that just a few weeks ago, this same gentle giant had tried to kill him. "Why didn't we use pre-made pasta?" Jakub chuckled softly, already having been expecting that question. Most people opted to take the easy way out when it came to cooking pasta, but being an immortal being, Jakub had all the time in the world to learn how to make it from scratch. "Because..." he said as he inched a bit close to examine the results. "You won't impress your sister with pre-made pasta." he explained. "I'll look into one for you/" he added, referring to the pasta machine question. Once the two sheets were thin enough, Jake decided to finish the last few steps on his own and just allow Eli to watch. "All that's left now is" he rolled up both sheets of dough and quickly cut them into thin strings before dropping them into the boiling pot of water. "Now we wait."

ImageWhat once had her terrified, now had Eliana entranced. The waterfall still looked as powerful as it did a few minutes ago, but the longer she stared at it the less scary it seemed and the more she could appreciate it's beauty. The sound of the bustling water crushing against the bottom of the river filled her ears, almost making her sleepy. It was a relaxing feeling she'd never experienced before. She'd been so caught up in nature she almost missed Tim's sentence all together. She caught the second half of it and was able to fill in the blanks. He wanted to go back to the camp to dry up. It made sense. They couldn't stay soaking wet for very long or they'd both end up in bed with a fever and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Still, she didn't entirely want to leave just yet. She paused for a moment, getting one more look at the waterfall, before turning back to him. "Okay, let's go." she quickly signed and waited for him to take the lead.

ImageAfter getting the okay, Mathias cautiously stepped in. Verena was still bustling around trying to finish getting ready and Mattie himself ran to his closet to pick out an outfit for the event, so he didn't quite get a good look at his girlfriend's attire. That is until her voice called for his opinion. The wolf stopped in his tracks, pants on but still unbottoned, and looked in her direction. He wasn't able to verbalize how beautiful she looked to him, but his awestruck face must have said it all. "I, you...look..." he cleared his throat in an attempt to look and sound less like a baffled puppy and more like the wolf pack leader that he was. "Beautiful." he finished, taking a few steps forward and wrapping both arms around her waist. "And i'm the luckiest wolf in the world." he added a toothy grin, placed a quick kiss on her forehead, and moved away to continue getting dressed so they could get to the exciting part. The actual date.

ImageElias continued to try and make the pasta, taking his time doing it as he waited for the demon to answer him. "You won't impress your sister with pre-made pasta." The hunter rolled his eyes playfully, a small smile still on his face. Eliana would be impressed that he even knew how to boil water. Making a whole dinner would just be brownie points. But he just nodded. It would be nice to show them that he wasn't completely incompetent in the kitchen. Jakub finally took over and quickly finished the rest the prep work. It was interesting watching him, he was so quick with the food. Elias knew with practice her could get there, but it looked impossible. "Now we wait." Eli crossed his arms and looked at the pot. "What do you usually do when you wait to past the time?" Elias would like to read, but he also wanted to make sure that he was paying attention to the food.

Image
Timothy took hold of Eliana's hand. He knew a way back to their clothes without having to get back into the river. He lead them through the a light path through the forrest. It wasn't too dense that they couldn't see, but it was dense enough so that anyone that passes by won't just see them in their underwear. When they reached where their clothes were, Tim let go of her hand. He gathered up his clothes and waited for Elie to do the same. With one hand, he signed to her a question that he had been thinking about. 'When do I have to take you home?' After her stuff was gathered, he started walking her back to their campsite. He just wanted to make sure that he didn't keep her for too long. The last thing he wanted would be to get her in trouble.

Image
The way Mathias stuttered a moment brought a smile to Verena's face. She was dressed exactly the way she wanted. Her wolf was always beyond polite and didn't do anything that he felt was a sign of disrespect to the demoness, but she always enjoyed making it little bit harder on him to remain polite. "Beautiful." "Thank you." His hand moved around her waist and he gave her that puppy dog grin. "And i'm the luckiest wolf in the world." The kiss to her forehead was warm and full of love. "Yes you are." Vera said jokingly before quickly stealing a kiss from his lips. Matty walked away to continued getting dressed and the demoness took a seat on the edge of their bed. She was already finished getting dressed since her wolf gave her a head start. Verena just watched him get dressed with a mix of love and lust in her eyes.

ImageThe moment Eli asked what they should do while they waited for the food to cook, Jakub knew exactly what he wanted to respond. He also knew that if he did what he had in mind he might either scared the giant away or get slapped across the face for even suggesting it. So instead he bit his lips, forcing the thoughts to the back of his mind as he stared at the boiling water. "Well, this will take a little while so why not finish watching that movie from the other day?" he offered, hoping the idea of sitting on the couch watching a movie was comfortable enough for him. Granted, with all the thoughts running through his head, about Eli and otherwise, it would be terribly difficult for Jakub to focus on the movie. But at the very least he could keep his hunter occupied in the meantime. While Eli answered, Jakub moved to the cupboards and searched around until he found some chips and dip, followed by two bottles of coke from the refrigerator. "I've got snacks in case you get too hungry." he added.

ImageEliana followed Tim in silence for a while, simply taking in her surroundings. She knew her time with him was coming to an end, and was soaking in every second of it. 'When do I have to take you home?', Eliana smiled, slightly amused by the thought that Izzy would give her a curfew. "Whenever you want to" she responded, making sure she was close enough to him for him to see. Before they knew it, they had made it back to the campsite but Eliana was not ready to go yet. She turned to look at him, a questioning look in her eyes. She didn't want to make Timothy stay longer than what he wanted to stay, but she also didn't want to leave him yet, nor did she want to leave this nice safe place with him and go back to the real world. Her real world that is. Her thought wandered to Eli for a moment as she thought about how he could be doing, but they quickly returned to the topic at hand. "If you want to head home now, we can" she added, though that's not really hat she wanted to do.

ImageEventually, Mathias finished getting ready. Not that he had much to do. He put on his nice suit jacket over his t-shirt and jeans. Dressed up enough to match Verena's attire, but dressed down enough to be comfortable and still look like himself. Mathias had never worn a full suit in his entire life, nor did he plan on it. After running the brush through his hair a few times, he pulled on his best dress shoes before turning to Vera. He stood in front of her, arms held out so that she could see the full outfit. Out of the two of them, she was the fashionista, so he patiently awaited her commentary on his choice of clothing. "How do I look?" he asked, assuring her that he wanted her opinion before leaving the house. If this was their first date in ages, everything had to be perfect.

ImageVera tracked her boyfriend as he continued getting dressed, a smile formed on her face. He finished and asked for her opinion. She stood up off the bed. "Delicious. As usual." She gave him a quick kiss and then took hold of his hand. She led him out of the bedroom and towards the front door. Verena made sure that she had her purse in hand and that Matty had the keys and their wallet. It wasn't long before the two of them were in the car and on their way to have a their first date night in a long time. Verena kept it together, trying not to probe her wolf about where they were going since it was a surprise. When they pulled up to the restaurant, the demoness squealed in delight. "I love this place!" It is one of the few places in town were supernaturals could be themselves. The humans didn't know about it and hunters weren't allowed to be there unless it was an emergency. It was a silent rule to be good. Vera didn't always like the rule, but she usually followed it for the sake that sometimes she can get a free meal since everyone knew who she was. Vera couldn't contain her excitement for this place. Matty pulled up to the valet and the two workers opened up their car doors. "Thank you..." She glanced over to her wolf. "I haven't been here in what feels like so long." The demoness linked arms with Mathias and they headed inside to get a table.

ImageThe drive to the restaurant was rather quiet. Part of Mathias was freaked out, due to the fact that Verena wasn't bombarding him with questions about where they were even going. The other part was glad, because he truly wanted it to be a surprise. The silent ended soon enough the moment Matty drove close enough for Verena to see the restaurant entrance. She squealed in delight, bringing an immediate smile to his face. The wolf knew she loved this place. Not only had they been here together on several occasions, but she had also talked to him about it, and mentioned how she almost always managed to get free meals. Of course, that wouldn't be necessary today. She was with her wolf on a date and he would be paying for the both of them like any good boyfriend should. "I actually haven't been here since we last came together." he admitted as he opened the establishment doors, allowing her to walk in.

A scene of lavish red leather, crystal chandeliers and gold studded silverware and plates flooded his eyes the moment the two walked in. If Mathias was being honest, this place sometimes felt a bit too extravagant for him, especially since the only two places he normally ate at were at their apartment or from the food trucks near the construction sites. But Verena deserved this, and he didn't mind being here one bit so long as he was with her. The two had a seat at a small booth for two and were handed menus. Matty eyed the carte for a moment before lifting his eyes to look at Verena. Out of the corner of one eye, he spotted some off movements. Two men were looking in their direction as they exchanged words. Neither one of them moved, but the looks on their faces said more than enough. They were up to no good. Mathias keep his eyes hidden behind the large leather menu in hopes of preventing Verena from noticing. The last thing he needed was to have this date ruined by some random trouble makers.

ImageVerena genuinely couldn't remember the last time that she had been at the establishment. Probably a month or so ago with Jacob. It was her idea of course to come to this establish despite her friends protests. Vera was always for free food and though it was mostly through fear, free food was better than full price. The demoness made a mental note to attempt to play nice and actually enjoy her date with Matty. The doors opened to reveal the lavish interior. Crystal chandeliers covered the ceilings, red leather covered the furniture and gold accented cutlery and plates laid on the tables. Verena felt right at home. Amidst luxury with the respect that she had spent decades working on. Mathias was the complete opposite of that, which is probably why she loved him so much. Every now and then, this feeling of power she has when she is in places like this does get annoying. So its nice that she doesn't feel that way with her wolf.

The two of them got a table and menus were placed before them. She already knew what she wanted. Steak. The demoness knew that she was a fabulous cook and prefers her cooking to anyone else's, but she can appreciate good food. This restaurant and Jacob produced high quality food. And since it was a date, she was going to go all out for the luxury. She also already knew what wine she wanted. Verena was getting the sense that someone was watching her, but she tried to ignore it. Beserk doesn't make public appearances as often anymore, so she could understand if people were shocked by her presence. Especially in place so open. Verena set her menu down and look to Matty. "I already know what I want...what do you think of this wine?" She asked, turning the menu around so he could see the one that she was referring too. "It's a deep red, kind of bitter but a sweet after taste."

Out of the corner of her eye, she could see two men standing beside her table. She glanced to them, taking in their appearance. They were both about the same height, but one of them had more muscle. Not that it mattered, she wasn't expecting them to do anything. Not here. It was supposed to be team Switzerland for supernaturals. "Can I help you?" Verena asked, with a small smile on her face. "Yes we would like you to leave. You are not welcome here." The smaller one stated. The smile on the demon's face dropped and she raised an eyebrow. "The hostess walked us to the table, so I think we do." It was easy to see that these two were demons, pretty high up in power or else they wouldn't have approached her with such bravery. "We will not tell you again. You and the mutt have to go." The bigger one stated. Verena let a sinister smirk come to her lips as she slowly pulled a knife from the wrapped silverware set. "I would like to see you try and make us..." The demoness tempted them, secretly a bit hopeful that they attempt a fight. It has been a while since she has fought anyone since quitting her job, so it would bring her some joy to release some that pent up desire.

ImageMathias, after a couple of minutes of stealing glances at the two shady looking figures, decided to ignore them and focus all of his attention on his beautiful girlfriend. Thankfully she spoke just in time, taking his attention from the men and directing towards the menu. He listened to her explanation about the wine and nodded. "I'm okay with that." he smiled, getting ready to call the waitress over. Unfortunately his intentions were interrupted.

"Can I help you?" Matty kept his eyes on Verena to make sure she didn't make any hasty movements. He could tell she was trying her hardest to remain civil, even as the men asked them to leave. If he had to be honest, half of him wanted to get up and punch them both square in the face for ruining their peaceful date, but Verena was keeping cool which meant he should too. Still, they persisted, and there was only so much she could take. "I would like to see you try and make us..." That statement was more than enough of a warning for Mathias. He cleared his throat, cautiously getting to his feet, arms folded over his chest. "Who exactly are you and what right do you have to tell us what to do?" he muttered, his eyes darting from one man to the other. He could feel the tension growing thicker with ever passing second. The customers around them only watched, some in anxious expectation, others in pure terror. Everyone here knew who Verena was, that was no secret, and by default they all knew who he was. And if his nose was right, which it always was, the two men standing in front of him were not only demons but highly powerful ones. One of them took a step towards Verena, but the wolf quickly moved to stand in front of her. Maybe he wasn't as powerful as her, and that was fine, but he'd fight for her with every tooth and claw on his body.

Silence had come over the restaurant. It was usually a peaceful place and any fighting was strictly forbidden. The only reason they were allowed to have this restaurant was because of a deal the owner had made with the hunters. As long as this place remained violent free, they would all get to eat here without any hunter bringing them any harm. So to see the tension between several high ranking demons and a werewolf was unheard of. Verena was really trying to keep her calm and remember who and where she was, because it was easier to just kill the two demons than to attempt to escalate the situation. Mathias stood up and attempted to assert his dominance over the two, even going as far as to stepping between her and one of the demons. Well we tried to do it the nice way... The smaller demon muttered before the bigger one reached out, took hold of Matty and tossed him to the side away from the demoness. Vera eyes grew wide and darkness pooled into the whites of her eyes. She quickly stood up and within a blink of an eye shoved the steak knife that was in her hand into that bigger demon's chest. He let out a yell and she kicked him in his stomach, sending him flying back. He hit the opposite wall and it caused a crack where he hit. The small demon began swinging punches at Verena and she was easily dodging them and throwing her own. Those that were at nearby tables quickly got up and moved away as those two fought. The bigger demon eventually stood up, pulled the knife from his chest, and started making his way towards the two.

ImageYes, Mathias should have seen this coming. There was no way he was going to stand up to high ranking demons and not have any consequences. However, he'd be lying if he said the sudden attack didn't catch him off guard. He was suddenly tossed aside without warning, an attack that not even his quick reflexes could've dodged. Thankfully though, he wasn't hurt, only shaken up. He rolled onto his feet again and lifted his gaze towards their table, just in time to see shoving a knife into one of the demons' chest and shoving him across the room. Part of him wanted to be angry with her, because it was a slightly rash move considering he hadn't even been pushed hard enough to be hurt. But the other half yelled at him to fight. As much as he knew Vera could defend herself, he also knew if he let her this would turn into a much bigger mess than it needed to be.

Then again, there was no way Mathias could fight against those demons, at least not in his current shape. The wolf took a moment to recollect himself. He could feel the anger boiling inside of him, his muscles were already beginning to burn, and his blood felt hot. Calm down Mathias...just breathe. He thought while simultaneously trying to convince himself he didn't need his wolf form to fight. Unfortunately, that was something he dind't always have a say in. The moment his eyes opened again and spotted the bigger of the two demons charging toward Verena with a raised knife, he lost all sense of control. He fell to the ground with a grunt, palms against the tiled floor, and his skin burning from inch to inch. He could hear the seams of his clothing beginning to pulls apart and new there was no point in fighting against it now. Within just seconds, every trace of human features was gone. In it's place was a large wolf standing at about five feet from the ground to the top of the head, his piercing blue eyes contrasting against the silky black fur. Without a second thought, Mathias lunged at the demon, dragging him halfway across the restaurant floor, his teeth digging deep into the creature's arm. It had been a while since he had fought a demon, and as much as he would never admit it to Vera, it felt kind of good.

ImageVerena saw in the corner of her eye the other demon, charging towards her. She was trying to think about what to do in order to avoid his attack and continue entertaining the demon that was fighting her. Luckily, she didn't have to do anything special. Mathias had begun his transformation. Black fur covered his body and he sprouted his four legs. His piercing blue eyes full of anger. The demoness hasn't seen her boyfriend in his wolf form in a long time. He spends the full moon with his pack so she never gets to see him in action. Especially after the hunters outlawed changing form anytime outside of a full moon. The wolf lunged at the other demon allowing Vera to focus on the one that was still fighting. Her nails extended to claws and she slashed him across the face. "Did that hurt?" She teased as he stumbled back away from her."Good." The demon basically growled at her. "I will kill you!" The demoness couldn't help the smirk that came to her face. "Not if I kill you first." She teased. They charged each other and she slashed at him. He kicked her hard in the stomach and she stumbled back. The demon smirked. "Aw...did that hurt?" Vera was tired of dancing around. She lunged at him. He moved to swing at her, but she grabbed his arm and snapped his bone. Quickly moving around him, she quickly placed her hands on the side of his head and snapped his neck. His lifeless body dropped to the ground, followed by gasps from others in the restaurant.

ImageMathias new what he was doing was wrong, at least by the standards of the hunters and the agreement they had made with the wolves. He wasn’t supposed to transform outside of a full moon, but it’s not like he could fully control that. Granted, he probably could have avoided it tonight if he had tried a little harder, but in all honesty he didn’t want to. He was tired of Verena fighting all of his battles. He was tired of feeling useless and not being able to protect his girlfriend. Even if she could easily protect herself, at a time like this he couldn’t just sit back and watch her fight on her own. So in that sense, he was doing what he had to do. The wolf blood mixed with adrenaline running through his veins were clouding his mind, making him think in a way he never would had be been his normal human self. That’s another reason he didn’t transform often. Along with the physical changes came the emotional and psychological ones. Everyday Mathias wouldn’t even think of hurting a fly, but Beta wolf Mathias wanted nothing more than to rip the demon apart as if he were a chew toy. The creatures underneath him squirmed, screaming in agony at the sting of the bite and throwing profanities in Matty’s direction. The wolf snarled, feeling something between annoyed and impatient. A small voice at the back of his mind told him that what he was about to do was a very bad idea, and would certainly get him into trouble. But he reasoned that after transforming when he shouldn’t have, he was already going to be in deep shit so why not go all out? With a swift move of the head, the wolf’s fangs moved from the demon’s arm to his neck. The feature let out a scream of bloody murder, cut short only by Mathias’ teeth ripping into it’s vocal chords. With a slight shake of Matty’s head, the demon’s head was ripped off from it’s body, sending the body sliding across the restaurant floor followed by the head falling to the ground with a thud. A sea of whispers erupted throughout the establishment, but Matty could hardly register what was being said as he stared at the decapitated head of the demon he had just murdered.

Verena let a small smile come to her face as she looked at the dead demon body. It had been a while since she had killed a creature and it felt good. The darkest part of her was cackling inside, but she managed to confine it to just a smile. She looked around at the others in the restaurant. There was fear in their eyes along with some worry. Maybe they all think Berserk was going to kill them next. She could do it with the blink of an eye, but no need to make it a blood bath. She was already slightly annoyed that her dinner was now ruined. The screaming finally took hold of her attention and she quickly looked over to where her wolf was. He was handling the demon well...too well. Her eyes widened as she watched her Matty rip off the demons head, finally silencing the screams. For a moment the demoness just looked at him not sure how she was supposed to feel. Proud that her Mathias stepped up and killed something. But worrisome for that exact fact. The whispers didn't stop, but the fear was more evident. This Bonnie and Clyde gig was going to get them in trouble. She moved over to Matty and gently ran her fingers through his fur. "Matty.." she said softly, guiding his head so that she could look into his piercing blue eyes. "Are you okay?" She was worried for him.

Lucio couldn't express how annoyed he was once he heard that a fight had broken out in his restaurant. He had bought the restaurant recently, mostly to have a guaranteed safe place for him to conduct business with supernaturals and hunters a lot. It was an added bonus that the restaurant made a lot of money. The agreement regarding this restaurant was delegate. It was to be a safe zone. But now that was ruined and now he was going to have to pay some hefty fines. He stepped out of his car and headed towards the entrance, pushing open the doors. Everyone's eyes widened at the sight of him. Lucio found the obvious source of this problem. "Why am I not surprised to see you here?" Verena quickly turned around and glared at the demon. "What are you even doing here?" Lucio glanced over at the two dead demons on the ground. "Cleaning up the mess you and your wolf made in my restaurant. Do you know how hard bloodstains are to get bloodstains out carpet..?" He asked with some annoyance. "Actually I do. Now if you don't mind, we were just leaving." Lucio took a step in front of her with her eyebrows raised. "No Berserk. You are going to stay and explain what happened to the hunters that are now on their way because of your desire to kill." "They are going to arrest me, you imbecile!" "Unfortunately they won't, because I don't back out on deals." Lucio said with some anger to his tone. Of all the times for this demoness to do something dumb enough to get arrested, he has to protect her.

Image Elias didn't even realize how late it was. They had spent what felt like forever making a mess in the kitchen for dinner. The hunter was still confused why they couldn't just have used pre-made pasta, but he did have fun turning dough into spaghetti. Jakub took over after that, but thoroughly explained the seasoning and how it cooked. They ate together and briefly watched tv. But now they were just talking. Well..Jake was talking and Elias was nodding and chiming in when prompted. It was good. It was a good time. Eli continued to check his phone though on the chance his sibling was trying to get a hold of him so that they could get home. One of the few times he checked his phone, he got an alert.

ALERT! DEMON ATTACK! Restaurant on Baker's Street. ALERT! DEMON ATTACK!

Elias' eyes widened and he looked to Jakub. "I need a ride. Do you know this restaurant." He asked Jake, handing the phone over. While he was waiting for the demon to decide whether or not to help, he jumped up off the couch. He went over to his bag and pulled out his two guns, along with the holster. He locked the holster around his waist and continued digging around for his spare bullet clips. He then turned his boyfriend...it was still weird saying that. "So are we going to make this a field trip or am I going to have to run?" He asked with a small smirk, but mostly with urgency.

ImageMathias could feel bulging eyes on him, watching his every move. His piercing blue eyes scanned the sea of people, looking for a familiar face that he couldn't spot. The more whispers and stares he received, the angrier he got. Deep down, the sane part of Mathias, screamed at him to snap out of it. But it had never been that easy. Moving in and out of wolf state was no easy task, even for an experienced alpha wolf. Much less for him, a second in command. His muscles burned with the need to attack, anyone and everyone in sight. He clenched his jaw, sharp nails scraping against the ground. If he didn't get his act together, this would be turning into a blood bath.

"Matty" the familiar voice made the wolf pause in his tracks. He felt a hand slide over his fur and let out a low growl. He was more than ready to strike again, until Verena's face came into view. Her eyes locked with his and realization quickly began to take over/ He had just murdered someone. Something he swore he would never do. He let out a low whine, lowering his head until the restaurant doors were slammed open. Mathias recognized the face immediately and felt the sudden need to run, but instead stood his ground while Verena spoke to the demon. He was not going to be a coward, not this time.

ImageJakub felt fairly proud of himself for teaching Eli such a complex thing as making pasta. Granted he didn't know if had actually taught him anything or if he had just set him up to burn down whatever kitchen the hunter decided to try the recipe in. Either way, he tried. And for what it was worth, Eli seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Jake's eyes were now focused on the TV in front of him, starting to feel the tiniest bit drowsy after the heavy pasta, until Eli suddenly spoke. "I need a ride. Do you know this restaurant." Jakub cocked an eyebrow. Why on earth was Eli asking about a restaurant when they had just finished eating. The hunter then turned the phone srcreen so that Jake could read the alert and frowned. A demon attack at a time like this? He continued to scan the message, taking note of the restaurant address. It didn't take him long to register the place, and more importantly who was behind it. "Yeah, I know the place alright..." he muttered. He had half a mind to tell Eli not to go, and let another hunter handle it, but the boy had clearly already made up his mind and there was no way Jake was going to make him run there. He bit his bottom lip, deciding not to give Eli any details, and grabbed his car keys. "Let's go" Jakub followed Eli out of the apartment, making sue the doors was securely locked before climbing inside the demon's car. Within minutes they had arrived at the restaurant. Jakub's eyes immediately fell upon a familiar looking car. So he was there already. The demon let out a heavy sigh before practically forcing himself to step out of the car and and following Eli inside.

The moment the two stepped inside, all eyes fell on them. More specifically, on Jakub. Every demon, witch, vampire and the likes froze on the spot. No one daring to move a single finger. Jake's eyebrows scrunched together as he examined their surroundings, an obvious murder scene painted out in front of him. One demon had even been decapitated. At the center of the room was what looked to be Mathias in his wolf form, icy blue eyes staring right at him, while off to the right was Verena and the last person on the planet he wanted to see right now. "What the hell happened here?". Jake's voice traveled throughout the restaurant. It was so silent, you could hear a pin drop.

ImageEliana couldn't stop thinking about what a terrible idea this was. Tim's encounter with the demons back at the campsite had been more than enough, yet here she was in his car as they drove to the very center of the supernatural world. The huntress was beyond terrified, but what else was she to do? They were in the middle of nowhere. She had no car and no way of getting to the place other than running. The alert had come so suddenly it hardly gave her any tie to think, and something told her that Eli was ether involved or he would be very soon. Not to mention, the moment Tim saw the message he insisted on driving her. Eliana's heart was racing a thousands miles a minute, having no clue what she would be finding when they arrived. Please let Eli be okay, please let Eli be okay. She had been so consumed in the worries that she hadn't even realized they had arrived. She could see some faint bustling inside the restaurant, but not much due to the tinted windows. Without hesitation, she turned to Tim signed as fast as her hands would allow her. "Please wait here, I can't allow you to get hurt."

Verena looked over Lucio with more confusion and less anger than before. Deal? What Deal? As far as she was concerned, she was a wanted criminal. Top of the hunters list with "shoot first, ask later" written next to her name. She was about to ask him more about it, but that is when Jakub and his hunter walked through the door. Lucio looked over to the two with extreme confusion. He understood why the hunter was here, but why had Jake been with him. He didn't get anytime to address that question, Jake was demanding answers.

"Your friend killed two demons and now I have to convince the hunter behind you not to arrest her." He explained simply. Verena glared at him before looking over to her best friend. "Those two idiots attacked me and Matty on our date. It was self defense." Lucio rolled his eyes. "Murder isn't self-defense." "It is when the murder was quick..want me to show you?" She asked, the anger seeping back into her and black pooling into the iris' of her eyes. She hated Lucio and killing him right now would bring her joy. "If you lay a finger on me...I will rip your wolf's throat out and feed it to his pack." That threat didn't stop Verena from extending her nails to claws, but she didn't attack.

Elias couldn't understand what was happening. When they pulled up to the restaurant, he was expecting fighting to still be going on. But instead the outside still looked as if nothing had happened. Glass wasn't scattered on the ground and people weren't running out screaming. The confusion only grew when they got inside and there were two demons talking, two demons dead, and a wolf. One of the demons he recognized as Verena, which was Jake's friend. The other one he didn't recognize and the wolf seemed completely out of place, but was clearly attached Verena in some way. The hunter had so many questions, but he wasn't going to ask them. His hands reached for the gun in his holster. "Oh I wouldn't do that young one. I will only give you a chance to shoot once." Lucio said with a small smile. Elias placed his hand at his sides, still ready in case he needed to attack. "And the wolf?" There wasn't a clear explanation for the presence of the wolf. "Happens when he is threatened, hence my argument for self-defense."

Lucio rolled his eyes at Verena mentioning how what she did was self-defense. His focus shifted to Jake and he gave him a smile. "What brings you here, pet? I didn't summon you." Vera wanted to defend her friend, but she was also slightly confused to why he bothered to show up. Though she could guess how he even figured out about this, since his love interest gets the hunter alerts.

ImageA bloody mess, that's the only way Jakub could think of describing the scene in front of him. There were demon body parts along with puddles of blood scattered all over the ground. The restaurant goers had not moved a single inch in the entirety of the time he had been here, Mathias was in his wolf form which meant he had been threatened and Lucio was claiming that he and Verena killed inside of what was meant to be Switzerland territory. In all honesty, Jakub didn't doubt Verena was pretty much everything to do with the murders, but he sure hoped she had a good reason. She was claiming it was self-defense, but of course Lucio was not buying it. Not that he ever would. Eli attempted to pull his gun out, which was met by a threat from Lucio. Jakub threw a sharp glare in his direction, promptly ignoring the pat comment that followed, and turned to Eli while placing a hand over the one that held the gun. "Let me handle this..."

ImageAs much as he wanted to kill the bastard Lucio right then and there, he had to get things straightened out first and he didn't want Eli caught in the middle of it all. After taking a quick glance around the room, Jakub pointed a finger towards a warlock that was sitting near the area where Verena was standing. "You. Come here for a second" the creature froze mid-blink, the color instantly draining from his face. "M-me?". Jakub only nodded once, waiting for the creature to follow the order. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Mathias getting to his feet and taking a few slow steps until he was standing beside Verena.

Eliana had not hesitated to step out of the car before Tim had any chance of protesting. She really hoped he wouldn't try to follow her. The scene outside the restaurant was normal. There weren't any broken windows, or people running for their lives. It gave her a very odd and terrifying feeling in the pit of her stomach. The moment she stepped inside, she understood why. The place was a mess, covered in blood stains from floor to ceiling, but everyone was still seated in their spots. There were two demons dead, two standing and seemingly arguing, a warewolf, and finally Jakub and Eli. The huntress let out a heavy sigh, rushing over to her brother. "Eli!" he eyes immediately switched to Jakub. Had this been several days ago, she would have immediately blamed him for everything. However, right now she just hoped he could give her answers. "What's going on?".

Image'I'm trying to figure that out." Jakub immediately responded, earning a confused look from the huntress. They were approached by the warlock, whom Jakub interrogated until getting every last drop of information out of him. The creature told the full story from the moment Verena and Mathias walked in, up until he and Eli showed up. Jakub and Eli exchanged a quick glance before the warlock was dismissed. "How many more hunters do you think will show up?" Eliana glanced at her phone for a moment, looking over the messages. There were several asking if they needed backup, but none confirmed that they were coming. Eliana turned her phone to show Jakub the screen. On it was a message written by Eliana herself stating that the situation was under control. "None." she stated. Jakub let a smile slide onto his lips to which Eliana sighed in annoyance. "You're lucky Eli likes you." she muttered, low enough so that only the three of them could hear. With that, she stepped away from the small group of three to face the rest of the restaurant. "Alright, everyone take your food an go home. There's nothing else to see here."

Jakub was clearly not happy with the explanation that Vera and Lucio were giving him. The stories contradicts each other and it was highly believable that the demoness just went out of her way to kill demons. If it had been a week ago, that would have been exactly the case. But Verena never kills in the open. Ever. It is the quickest way to get caught. And Jakub knows that she would never kill in front of Mathias. Ever. So the fact that both of those things happen should have been a red flag for self-defense. She didn't have to kill them, but they were clearly trying to kill her. But explaining that wasn't working. So Jakub recruited some random warlock to explain. And he did.

He explained how the demoness and wolf came in together and got to the table. Then two demons walked up to them and asked them to leave and despite the couple not doing anything else. The wolf tried to defend the two of them and was push out of the way. That is how the fight started. It was how Mathias went from human to wolf and why those demons were now dead on the ground. The demoness retracted her claws and crossed her arms. "Now that we have proven my innocence, we better not be arrested." She glanced over to Elias and he just kind of shrugged. It is hard to convict a demon, when he didn't witness the death. And there were so many supernaturals around that really anyone could have killed them. Though the warlock told the story, who knows if he just lied in order to get away from them all. Eli also made a mental note to ask why everyone in the restaurant was terrified of the three.

Eliana had taken it upon herself to attempt to clear out the restaurant, but everyone was hesitant. The hunters didn't have power here. All of them were terrified that leaving would mean their untimely death at the hands of Berserk, Lucio, and Sting. Verena glanced around. "Well you heard her. Get out!" After that, no one could get out fast enough.

Lucio crossed his arms. "Fine. You are off the hook." He started, glancing back at the two demon bodies. "You're lucky I didn't even like those two demons." Lucio looked over to the hunters and then specifically focused his gaze on Elias, confused by him. "Is there any other information you need or is this restaurant still free to operate under the agreement?" Eli glanced over to his sister and then back to Lucio. "The restaurant is fine." Verena ran her fingers through Mathias fur now that he was next to her. "And us? Mathias can't exactly stay in wolf form forever and I would prefer he shifts back at home." Elias just nodded at her and she smiled. "Oh good."

ImageWhile the hunters and demons talked and worked out their issues, Mathias stood beside Verena silent and still. His blue eyes scanning everyone in the room without so much as moving his head an inch. Undoubtedly, everyone was giving him stares. Normally, Matty would chalk it up to him being in his wolf form, however this restaurant was a place for demons, witches and vampires, as well as wolves like himself. Surely, this wasn't the first time they had seen one. So why the staring? If Matty had to make a guess, he'd said it was due to the fact he had just killed a high ranking demon within minutes. Mathias had to be honest, he never thought he could do something like this, but there's a first time for everything. Still, it's not exactly something he was proud of. In fact, his chest and heart felt heavy. This was something that would undoubtedly weigh on his mind for weeks, probably even months on end.

ImageFor a split second, Jakub was surprised Lucio was playing nice with Mathias and Verena. Verena especially, whom he hated almost as much as he hated Jakub himself. For just a fraction of a second, Jake thought maybe the demon was having a good day, but reality didn't take long to sink in, giving way to dread. He didn't regret assuring his friends were protected, not at all, but a very small part of him wished he had never made that deal. Hell knows what Lucio will ask in return for this, though technically speaking, he didn't do anything. It was Jakub, Eli and Eliana's doing. Had it been other hunters that had come instead of the twins, though, Jake would of had a heavy price to pay. Now, more than ever, he was incredibly grateful to have Eli in his life. The demon turned to his hunter after he and Lucio were finished speaking and gave him a slight smile. "My brave little hunter, you might just be an angel in disguise." he said, keeping his voice low so that only Eli could hear, though he was sure Eliana caught it as well given her eye roll. After giving Lucio a side glance, Jakub turned to Eli once again. "Wait for me outside, I have to have a talk with someone." he then turned to the demon that stood just a few feet away, setting aside the Jakub Eli knew and letting Sting slowly take his place. "Lucio? I need to talk to you in private."

ImageEliana watched Jakub's actions with a bit of suspicion. Yes, she trusted the creature a lot more now than she used to, however something about the way that warlock followed his orders, and the way the rest of the room looked at him like he had their lives in the palm of his hand, made her feel uneasy. She took advantage of the fact that he wanted to speak to this Lucio, whom Eliana recognized as the owner of the restaurant, and gently tapped Eli's arm. "Can I talk to you outside?" she muttered, her eyes screaming concern. She hoped Eli would just comply and follow her. She needed to both voice her suspicions as well as check on Timothy.

ImageVerena wasn't going to stick around this restaurant any longer. She was thoroughly annoyed that this dinner was ruined. And if she didn't get her wolf home soon, he would transform back into a man and be completely naked. Not that she minded, but she would rather keep it to herself. She glared over to Lucio and gave him a small smirk. "For this inconvenience, I am expecting a free meal next time I show up." Lucio glared back, but didn't respond. Vera looked over to her best friend and then to the hunters, particularly Eli, with a small smile. "Thanks for not arresting us. Be good to my Jake or I won't hesitate to kill you next time I see you." The words rolled off her tongue with sincerity. Elias looked back at her and nodded with understanding. Vera lightly took hold of some of Matty's fur and began to guide him out of the restaurant. Once she felt like he was following her, she released her hold and just lightly patted him as they walked to the car. "Matty...you have to turn back before we get in the car...or you have to chase the car home." She said, stopping at where valet had parked their vehicle.

ImageElias smiled slightly at Jakub when he was referred to as an Angel in Disguise. He didn't feel like he had done anything heroic,. He could arrest them. If the witness was truthful, then both the demon and wolf were innocent. They acted to survive. With those other demons dead, there was nothing more that could really be done either way. He was about to ask Jake to take him back to the apartment, but he spoke up first. He wanted to talk to with one of them. Eli just nodded. He couldn't really go anywhere. The demon was his ride and all of his stuff was back there. Then his sister came up to him and silently followed her out of the restaurant. "How did you get here so fast?" His sister was supposed to be in the middle of the woods with Timothy.

Image Lucio could feel the headache that was forming. He needed to clean his restaurant and dispose of the two idiots that dared challenge such a powerful demon. They must have missed the memo. Verena, Jake, and that wolf were off limits. If she hadn't killed them, he would have. Lucio takes his deals very seriously. He watched Berserk leave, a smug look on her face. How he hated that women. What Jake ever saw in her was beyond him? "Lucio? I need to talk to you in private." As much as he would like to probe his pet for questions at the moment, starting with the hunter, he just could not be bothered at the moment. "Not now, pet. I need to clean up the mess your friend made." He said, moving away from him and towards the other dead body that was across the room.

ImageThe entire scene played out so quickly that Mathias struggled to keep up. His groggy mind remained on the bloody scene that had displayed itself in front of him as if he had been watching himself from a distance. He kept his head low, eyes on the ground as he followed Verena out of the establishment. It was quick both inside and out as most customers had already gone home, probably wanting to stay as far away from this mess as possible. His thoughts swallowed him to the point where he almost missed Vera's suggestion. He would have missed it entirely had it not been for her light petting of his fur.

His icy blues watched her in silence, a hint of silence glazing over them as he looked towards the trunk of the car. It had been Verena's idea to keep a change of clothes there for him on the off chance something like this would happen. He was now thankful for that. He gestured with his paw toward the car and waited for the clothes to be brought out so that he could quickly get dressed. Thankfully it was dark, not much to be seen if he changed inside the car.

ImageJacob momentarily ignored the annoyance that came with the nickname Lucio had given him and gently patted Eli's cheek. "I'll be quick." he assured the hunter before turning back to Lucio, the soft smile that had been directed towards Eli now morphing into a scowl of distaste. "I don't think so, Lu" he muttered, bringing back the nickname he once used for the man he thought was the one. He waited until Eli and Elie were outside before continuing to speak, making sure to turn Lucio so he'd have no choice but to look at him.

"We had a deal, so what the hell happened?" he kept his voice as steady as he possibly could. He wasn't there to fight, he simply wanted answers because if Lucio hadn't kept his side of the deal, then Jake didn't have to either. To ensure Lucio didn't try to escape his questions with the excuse of needing to clean up, Jake released a couple of his ink friends and bid them to do the job.

ImageThere was something about that demon that Elie couldn't quite swallow. For whatever the reason, Jakob no longer worried her, at least not as much, but that supposed owner of the restaurant made her skin crawl. She watched cautiously watched him for a moment, not missing the way he spoke to Jakob as if he owned him, and a scary thought came to her. What if this was the man they'd been looking for all along? What if this man, disguised as a peacekeeper, was actually Sting?

"How did you get here so fast?" Eli's voice almost made her flinch, her eyes moving from the demoness and the werewolf just a few feet away to her brother. "Oh, Uh...actually Tim brought me..." she almost whispered, knowing she'd be getting an earful from him about allowing a human into their supernatural affairs. But before Eli could respond in any way, she gestured toward the restaurant with a nod of the head. "Eli...does that demon look familiar to you in any way?" she asked, not bothering to explain who she was referring to. There were only two demons left inside the place, Jakob and this ominous stranger.

Image The demoness waited patiently for Mathias to make some kind of gesture that he understood what she wanted. As amazing and powerful his wolf form was, she could never communicate with him like this. Not really. Wolves speak to each other telepathically and she wasn't blessed with that ability. It didn't matter most of the time since he was usually with his pack when he was like this, but at the moment he was out in the open. With her, nonetheless. His paw hit the trunk of the car and she was relieved that he was planning on changing back now. The only other option was to have him trail the car, but a hunter spot him easily and explaining his change would not produce good results. Vera opened up the trunk of the car and pulled out the spare clothes for him. She was very happy that she had suggested keeping spare clothes for moments like this. Vera gave the clothes to him and she turned around. It wasn't that she hadn't seen Mathias naked tons of times, but she never liked watching the transformation. It looked painful and seeing the love of her life in pain just wasn't something that could easily be swallowed.

Image
Elias stood before his twin with his arms crossed. Not because he was upset with her or closing himself off to her, but it was the most comfortable position for him to rest in. He would have put his hands in his pockets, but his gun is currently preventing that from happening since it was in his holster. Eliana quickly explained that Tim was the one that brought her. Eli let it show on his face how dangerous that was for him. If this had been a more dangerous situation he could have died. This is wasn't what they were here to talk about though. Something more serious. "Eli...does that demon look familiar to you in any way?" She was referring to the taller one that seemed to take command of the room. The one that kept calling Jakub pet. A scowl came to Eli's face. He did not like that demon nor the way he kept referring to his boyfriend in such a manner. The hunter attempted to focus on the familiarity of his face. He nodded at Elie. "But I don't know when or where I remember his face from." He admitted hoping that his twin would have a better idea.

Image"I don't think so, Lu" Lu? Lucio hadn't heard him say that in a long time. Not since they were last together. Jake really wanted his attention. Sighing, he stopped walking and looked to the smaller demon. "We had a deal, so what the hell happened?" He rolled his eyes and walked closer to Jakub. "The deal is not broken. Verena and Mathias were both unharmed and avoided being arrested by hunters." He stated matter-o-factly. Lucio crossed his arms, irritated that Jakub would even think that he would back out of the deal. "I told you. Protecting your whore girlfriend would be hard. She is wanted by both hunters and demons alike. And I do not have control over everyone." If he had control over everyone, Jake wouldn't have left him in the first place. Lucio looked back to the bloody mess on the floor before looking back to the demon. "Now answer me this, pet. Who is that hunter?" It was obvious which one that Lucio was referring too. He could care less about the girl that didn't have much attachment to anyone but to the other hunter. "If you wanted to walk a dangerous line, you could have just stay in my bed." He added in teasingly, not wanted to give off any feeling of jealously and anger that he was currently feeling.
