Tim had let go of Eliana's hand when she had gotten in the water. Not that he didn't want to hold her hand, but he figured this whole thing was new to the both of them. They had only agreed to start dating the night before. He didn't want to come off too strong or disrespectful. He really cared for Elie and wanted to go at a pace that she was comfortable regarding anything and everything the two were doing. Tim watched her sign, slowly and sloppily, with one hand. He managed to make out the fact that she was having fun. He smiled brightly at her, happy that this city girl was starting to love the outdoors as he does. 'Good' He sunk a bit lower into the river so that the water was now at his shoulders. There is a waterfall nearby that we can go to. Come on." He signed to her, before showing her the way.

Elias finished cutting up the chicken and was waiting for further instruction from the sou chef. "Not really. I was just thinking I should call Verena soon. I haven't talked to her in a few days." Eli took a moment to think about the name and why it sounded familiar. Then it hit him. It was Jake's demon friend that had attempted to kill him just a few days ago. The hunter tried not to think about it, scooping up his cut chicken into the pot. "Just wanna make sure she's okay." It was clear that his boyfriend cared deeply for his friend. And they must have made up, if he was thinking about calling her. "You should call her. After we finish." Elias didn't want to be left alone in the kitchen with the food. He was sure to mess it up and that would be a waste of everything they had just accomplished. "Okay, now comes the fun part!" Eli cocked an eyebrow at the site of the contraption on the kitchen counter. "ever seen one of these before?" The hunter shook his head. "What is it for? How do you even use it?" Elias was clearly confused to how it was going to help them make dinner.
Keeping hold of Elie's hand, he took his time getting to the waterfall. He wanted to make sure that she was getting used to the water and taking in her surroundings. It still slightly surprised him that she was so willing to just follow Tim around the campgrounds. Some of his friends prefer to remain at the campsite or cut their walks short. It was nice to have someone that was more than willing to try new things. Especially things that Timothy was actually into. But it was part of the reason he was going so slow. He didn't want to rush Elie or overwhelm her with everything. After a moment, he pulled them over to the edge of the riverbank. Tim made sure Elie was steady and close to the edge. 'The water back is just over the edge. But its best to see it from the side.' He signed to her before climbing out of the water. Once she was also out, he slowly moved to the edge so that she could see the drop of the waterfall.
"Of course" Verena smiled widely at her wolf. They were going to go on a date! She can't remember the last time either of them went on a date. He has been so busy with his wolves and she was busy with her job. But now they can just spend time with one another. "Dress up as much as you want." The demoness didn't need to be told twice. She moved closer to her wolf and kissed him one more time as a premature thank you for the evening. Verena then pulled away and practically ran up the stairs to start getting ready. She had no idea what she wanted to wear, but she knew that she wanted to wear something that would make it hard for Matty to keep his hands to himself. But first a bath. The demoness skipped over to the bathroom and turned on the hot water. She stripped down and stepped inside, taking her time to clean herself and prepare for the date. Once she was clean, she got out and quickly dried herself off. Ditching the towel in the bathroom, she headed over to the dresser for a black lace matching bra and underwear. She went to her closet and pulled out a burgundy lace mini dress. It hugged her in all the right places. Verena then skipped back over to the bathroom to do her hair and make up.
"What is it for? How do you even use it?" Eli's question brought him back to the task at hand and the contraption in front of them. Eli's confusion was, more than amusing, extremely adorable. But also fully expected, both because Eli had never cooked in his life and also because the contraption was a bit on the older side of life. But it's the only one jake had and the only one he'd ever use. "This is a pasta maker" Jake explains, finally revealing what the two of them had been making all along. His lifted his hands up in a defensive fashion before speaking. "Now I know it looks weird and complicated but it's actually really easy to use." he states. To demonstrate, he splits the pasta dough clump in two, flattens it out a bit with his hands and lets it run through the pasta machine several times until it's a long, flat sheet of dough. "Wanna give it a shot?"
Timothy could tell by Eliana's face that she enjoyed the sight of the waterfall. He was proud of this moment. He was unsure how she would feel about this entire trip, but it seemed as though she was enjoying most of the things that he was getting her to do. Or if she wasn't enjoying it, it seemed like she was. Tim let them stand there for a moment in silence. The roaring sound of the water always felt like music to his ears. After a moment longer, he looked over to Elie. 'We can head back to camp. That way we can dry off and get our clothes.' He signed to her. If they stayed wet and cold too long, they could get a cold and he didn't want that to happen.
Timothy took hold of Eliana's hand. He knew a way back to their clothes without having to get back into the river. He lead them through the a light path through the forrest. It wasn't too dense that they couldn't see, but it was dense enough so that anyone that passes by won't just see them in their underwear. When they reached where their clothes were, Tim let go of her hand. He gathered up his clothes and waited for Elie to do the same. With one hand, he signed to her a question that he had been thinking about. 'When do I have to take you home?' After her stuff was gathered, he started walking her back to their campsite. He just wanted to make sure that he didn't keep her for too long. The last thing he wanted would be to get her in trouble.
The way Mathias stuttered a moment brought a smile to Verena's face. She was dressed exactly the way she wanted. Her wolf was always beyond polite and didn't do anything that he felt was a sign of disrespect to the demoness, but she always enjoyed making it little bit harder on him to remain polite. "Beautiful." "Thank you." His hand moved around her waist and he gave her that puppy dog grin. "And i'm the luckiest wolf in the world." The kiss to her forehead was warm and full of love. "Yes you are." Vera said jokingly before quickly stealing a kiss from his lips. Matty walked away to continued getting dressed and the demoness took a seat on the edge of their bed. She was already finished getting dressed since her wolf gave her a head start. Verena just watched him get dressed with a mix of love and lust in her eyes.
A scene of lavish red leather, crystal chandeliers and gold studded silverware and plates flooded his eyes the moment the two walked in. If Mathias was being honest, this place sometimes felt a bit too extravagant for him, especially since the only two places he normally ate at were at their apartment or from the food trucks near the construction sites. But Verena deserved this, and he didn't mind being here one bit so long as he was with her. The two had a seat at a small booth for two and were handed menus. Matty eyed the carte for a moment before lifting his eyes to look at Verena. Out of the corner of one eye, he spotted some off movements. Two men were looking in their direction as they exchanged words. Neither one of them moved, but the looks on their faces said more than enough. They were up to no good. Mathias keep his eyes hidden behind the large leather menu in hopes of preventing Verena from noticing. The last thing he needed was to have this date ruined by some random trouble makers.
The two of them got a table and menus were placed before them. She already knew what she wanted. Steak. The demoness knew that she was a fabulous cook and prefers her cooking to anyone else's, but she can appreciate good food. This restaurant and Jacob produced high quality food. And since it was a date, she was going to go all out for the luxury. She also already knew what wine she wanted. Verena was getting the sense that someone was watching her, but she tried to ignore it. Beserk doesn't make public appearances as often anymore, so she could understand if people were shocked by her presence. Especially in place so open. Verena set her menu down and look to Matty. "I already know what I want...what do you think of this wine?" She asked, turning the menu around so he could see the one that she was referring too. "It's a deep red, kind of bitter but a sweet after taste."
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see two men standing beside her table. She glanced to them, taking in their appearance. They were both about the same height, but one of them had more muscle. Not that it mattered, she wasn't expecting them to do anything. Not here. It was supposed to be team Switzerland for supernaturals. "Can I help you?" Verena asked, with a small smile on her face. "Yes we would like you to leave. You are not welcome here." The smaller one stated. The smile on the demon's face dropped and she raised an eyebrow. "The hostess walked us to the table, so I think we do." It was easy to see that these two were demons, pretty high up in power or else they wouldn't have approached her with such bravery. "We will not tell you again. You and the mutt have to go." The bigger one stated. Verena let a sinister smirk come to her lips as she slowly pulled a knife from the wrapped silverware set. "I would like to see you try and make us..." The demoness tempted them, secretly a bit hopeful that they attempt a fight. It has been a while since she has fought anyone since quitting her job, so it would bring her some joy to release some that pent up desire.
"Can I help you?" Matty kept his eyes on Verena to make sure she didn't make any hasty movements. He could tell she was trying her hardest to remain civil, even as the men asked them to leave. If he had to be honest, half of him wanted to get up and punch them both square in the face for ruining their peaceful date, but Verena was keeping cool which meant he should too. Still, they persisted, and there was only so much she could take. "I would like to see you try and make us..." That statement was more than enough of a warning for Mathias. He cleared his throat, cautiously getting to his feet, arms folded over his chest. "Who exactly are you and what right do you have to tell us what to do?" he muttered, his eyes darting from one man to the other. He could feel the tension growing thicker with ever passing second. The customers around them only watched, some in anxious expectation, others in pure terror. Everyone here knew who Verena was, that was no secret, and by default they all knew who he was. And if his nose was right, which it always was, the two men standing in front of him were not only demons but highly powerful ones. One of them took a step towards Verena, but the wolf quickly moved to stand in front of her. Maybe he wasn't as powerful as her, and that was fine, but he'd fight for her with every tooth and claw on his body.
Silence had come over the restaurant. It was usually a peaceful place and any fighting was strictly forbidden. The only reason they were allowed to have this restaurant was because of a deal the owner had made with the hunters. As long as this place remained violent free, they would all get to eat here without any hunter bringing them any harm. So to see the tension between several high ranking demons and a werewolf was unheard of. Verena was really trying to keep her calm and remember who and where she was, because it was easier to just kill the two demons than to attempt to escalate the situation. Mathias stood up and attempted to assert his dominance over the two, even going as far as to stepping between her and one of the demons. Well we tried to do it the nice way... The smaller demon muttered before the bigger one reached out, took hold of Matty and tossed him to the side away from the demoness. Vera eyes grew wide and darkness pooled into the whites of her eyes. She quickly stood up and within a blink of an eye shoved the steak knife that was in her hand into that bigger demon's chest. He let out a yell and she kicked him in his stomach, sending him flying back. He hit the opposite wall and it caused a crack where he hit. The small demon began swinging punches at Verena and she was easily dodging them and throwing her own. Those that were at nearby tables quickly got up and moved away as those two fought. The bigger demon eventually stood up, pulled the knife from his chest, and started making his way towards the two.
Then again, there was no way Mathias could fight against those demons, at least not in his current shape. The wolf took a moment to recollect himself. He could feel the anger boiling inside of him, his muscles were already beginning to burn, and his blood felt hot. Calm down Mathias...just breathe. He thought while simultaneously trying to convince himself he didn't need his wolf form to fight. Unfortunately, that was something he dind't always have a say in. The moment his eyes opened again and spotted the bigger of the two demons charging toward Verena with a raised knife, he lost all sense of control. He fell to the ground with a grunt, palms against the tiled floor, and his skin burning from inch to inch. He could hear the seams of his clothing beginning to pulls apart and new there was no point in fighting against it now. Within just seconds, every trace of human features was gone. In it's place was a large wolf standing at about five feet from the ground to the top of the head, his piercing blue eyes contrasting against the silky black fur. Without a second thought, Mathias lunged at the demon, dragging him halfway across the restaurant floor, his teeth digging deep into the creature's arm. It had been a while since he had fought a demon, and as much as he would never admit it to Vera, it felt kind of good.
Lucio couldn't express how annoyed he was once he heard that a fight had broken out in his restaurant. He had bought the restaurant recently, mostly to have a guaranteed safe place for him to conduct business with supernaturals and hunters a lot. It was an added bonus that the restaurant made a lot of money. The agreement regarding this restaurant was delegate. It was to be a safe zone. But now that was ruined and now he was going to have to pay some hefty fines. He stepped out of his car and headed towards the entrance, pushing open the doors. Everyone's eyes widened at the sight of him. Lucio found the obvious source of this problem. "Why am I not surprised to see you here?" Verena quickly turned around and glared at the demon. "What are you even doing here?" Lucio glanced over at the two dead demons on the ground. "Cleaning up the mess you and your wolf made in my restaurant. Do you know how hard bloodstains are to get bloodstains out carpet..?" He asked with some annoyance. "Actually I do. Now if you don't mind, we were just leaving." Lucio took a step in front of her with her eyebrows raised. "No Berserk. You are going to stay and explain what happened to the hunters that are now on their way because of your desire to kill." "They are going to arrest me, you imbecile!" "Unfortunately they won't, because I don't back out on deals." Lucio said with some anger to his tone. Of all the times for this demoness to do something dumb enough to get arrested, he has to protect her.
ALERT! DEMON ATTACK! Restaurant on Baker's Street. ALERT! DEMON ATTACK!
Elias' eyes widened and he looked to Jakub. "I need a ride. Do you know this restaurant." He asked Jake, handing the phone over. While he was waiting for the demon to decide whether or not to help, he jumped up off the couch. He went over to his bag and pulled out his two guns, along with the holster. He locked the holster around his waist and continued digging around for his spare bullet clips. He then turned his boyfriend...it was still weird saying that. "So are we going to make this a field trip or am I going to have to run?" He asked with a small smirk, but mostly with urgency.
"Matty" the familiar voice made the wolf pause in his tracks. He felt a hand slide over his fur and let out a low growl. He was more than ready to strike again, until Verena's face came into view. Her eyes locked with his and realization quickly began to take over/ He had just murdered someone. Something he swore he would never do. He let out a low whine, lowering his head until the restaurant doors were slammed open. Mathias recognized the face immediately and felt the sudden need to run, but instead stood his ground while Verena spoke to the demon. He was not going to be a coward, not this time.
The moment the two stepped inside, all eyes fell on them. More specifically, on Jakub. Every demon, witch, vampire and the likes froze on the spot. No one daring to move a single finger. Jake's eyebrows scrunched together as he examined their surroundings, an obvious murder scene painted out in front of him. One demon had even been decapitated. At the center of the room was what looked to be Mathias in his wolf form, icy blue eyes staring right at him, while off to the right was Verena and the last person on the planet he wanted to see right now. "What the hell happened here?". Jake's voice traveled throughout the restaurant. It was so silent, you could hear a pin drop.
Verena looked over Lucio with more confusion and less anger than before. Deal? What Deal? As far as she was concerned, she was a wanted criminal. Top of the hunters list with "shoot first, ask later" written next to her name. She was about to ask him more about it, but that is when Jakub and his hunter walked through the door. Lucio looked over to the two with extreme confusion. He understood why the hunter was here, but why had Jake been with him. He didn't get anytime to address that question, Jake was demanding answers.
"Your friend killed two demons and now I have to convince the hunter behind you not to arrest her." He explained simply. Verena glared at him before looking over to her best friend. "Those two idiots attacked me and Matty on our date. It was self defense." Lucio rolled his eyes. "Murder isn't self-defense." "It is when the murder was quick..want me to show you?" She asked, the anger seeping back into her and black pooling into the iris' of her eyes. She hated Lucio and killing him right now would bring her joy. "If you lay a finger on me...I will rip your wolf's throat out and feed it to his pack." That threat didn't stop Verena from extending her nails to claws, but she didn't attack.
Elias couldn't understand what was happening. When they pulled up to the restaurant, he was expecting fighting to still be going on. But instead the outside still looked as if nothing had happened. Glass wasn't scattered on the ground and people weren't running out screaming. The confusion only grew when they got inside and there were two demons talking, two demons dead, and a wolf. One of the demons he recognized as Verena, which was Jake's friend. The other one he didn't recognize and the wolf seemed completely out of place, but was clearly attached Verena in some way. The hunter had so many questions, but he wasn't going to ask them. His hands reached for the gun in his holster. "Oh I wouldn't do that young one. I will only give you a chance to shoot once." Lucio said with a small smile. Elias placed his hand at his sides, still ready in case he needed to attack. "And the wolf?" There wasn't a clear explanation for the presence of the wolf. "Happens when he is threatened, hence my argument for self-defense."
Lucio rolled his eyes at Verena mentioning how what she did was self-defense. His focus shifted to Jake and he gave him a smile. "What brings you here, pet? I didn't summon you." Vera wanted to defend her friend, but she was also slightly confused to why he bothered to show up. Though she could guess how he even figured out about this, since his love interest gets the hunter alerts.
Eliana had not hesitated to step out of the car before Tim had any chance of protesting. She really hoped he wouldn't try to follow her. The scene outside the restaurant was normal. There weren't any broken windows, or people running for their lives. It gave her a very odd and terrifying feeling in the pit of her stomach. The moment she stepped inside, she understood why. The place was a mess, covered in blood stains from floor to ceiling, but everyone was still seated in their spots. There were two demons dead, two standing and seemingly arguing, a warewolf, and finally Jakub and Eli. The huntress let out a heavy sigh, rushing over to her brother. "Eli!" he eyes immediately switched to Jakub. Had this been several days ago, she would have immediately blamed him for everything. However, right now she just hoped he could give her answers. "What's going on?".
Jakub was clearly not happy with the explanation that Vera and Lucio were giving him. The stories contradicts each other and it was highly believable that the demoness just went out of her way to kill demons. If it had been a week ago, that would have been exactly the case. But Verena never kills in the open. Ever. It is the quickest way to get caught. And Jakub knows that she would never kill in front of Mathias. Ever. So the fact that both of those things happen should have been a red flag for self-defense. She didn't have to kill them, but they were clearly trying to kill her. But explaining that wasn't working. So Jakub recruited some random warlock to explain. And he did.
He explained how the demoness and wolf came in together and got to the table. Then two demons walked up to them and asked them to leave and despite the couple not doing anything else. The wolf tried to defend the two of them and was push out of the way. That is how the fight started. It was how Mathias went from human to wolf and why those demons were now dead on the ground. The demoness retracted her claws and crossed her arms. "Now that we have proven my innocence, we better not be arrested." She glanced over to Elias and he just kind of shrugged. It is hard to convict a demon, when he didn't witness the death. And there were so many supernaturals around that really anyone could have killed them. Though the warlock told the story, who knows if he just lied in order to get away from them all. Eli also made a mental note to ask why everyone in the restaurant was terrified of the three.
Eliana had taken it upon herself to attempt to clear out the restaurant, but everyone was hesitant. The hunters didn't have power here. All of them were terrified that leaving would mean their untimely death at the hands of Berserk, Lucio, and Sting. Verena glanced around. "Well you heard her. Get out!" After that, no one could get out fast enough.
Lucio crossed his arms. "Fine. You are off the hook." He started, glancing back at the two demon bodies. "You're lucky I didn't even like those two demons." Lucio looked over to the hunters and then specifically focused his gaze on Elias, confused by him. "Is there any other information you need or is this restaurant still free to operate under the agreement?" Eli glanced over to his sister and then back to Lucio. "The restaurant is fine." Verena ran her fingers through Mathias fur now that he was next to her. "And us? Mathias can't exactly stay in wolf form forever and I would prefer he shifts back at home." Elias just nodded at her and she smiled. "Oh good."
His icy blues watched her in silence, a hint of silence glazing over them as he looked towards the trunk of the car. It had been Verena's idea to keep a change of clothes there for him on the off chance something like this would happen. He was now thankful for that. He gestured with his paw toward the car and waited for the clothes to be brought out so that he could quickly get dressed. Thankfully it was dark, not much to be seen if he changed inside the car.
"We had a deal, so what the hell happened?" he kept his voice as steady as he possibly could. He wasn't there to fight, he simply wanted answers because if Lucio hadn't kept his side of the deal, then Jake didn't have to either. To ensure Lucio didn't try to escape his questions with the excuse of needing to clean up, Jake released a couple of his ink friends and bid them to do the job.
"How did you get here so fast?" Eli's voice almost made her flinch, her eyes moving from the demoness and the werewolf just a few feet away to her brother. "Oh, Uh...actually Tim brought me..." she almost whispered, knowing she'd be getting an earful from him about allowing a human into their supernatural affairs. But before Eli could respond in any way, she gestured toward the restaurant with a nod of the head. "Eli...does that demon look familiar to you in any way?" she asked, not bothering to explain who she was referring to. There were only two demons left inside the place, Jakob and this ominous stranger.
Elias stood before his twin with his arms crossed. Not because he was upset with her or closing himself off to her, but it was the most comfortable position for him to rest in. He would have put his hands in his pockets, but his gun is currently preventing that from happening since it was in his holster. Eliana quickly explained that Tim was the one that brought her. Eli let it show on his face how dangerous that was for him. If this had been a more dangerous situation he could have died. This is wasn't what they were here to talk about though. Something more serious. "Eli...does that demon look familiar to you in any way?" She was referring to the taller one that seemed to take command of the room. The one that kept calling Jakub pet. A scowl came to Eli's face. He did not like that demon nor the way he kept referring to his boyfriend in such a manner. The hunter attempted to focus on the familiarity of his face. He nodded at Elie. "But I don't know when or where I remember his face from." He admitted hoping that his twin would have a better idea.
