But introduction chapters are the worst! And you're saying the introduction of the main character going into the introduction, right? What if there are more than one main characters?

And...umm....I have some news. You all are going to hate me. Dx
I'm going down to Idaho for a whole week. It's cold where I am, and we're going down to a cabin that doesn't have any...internet or electronics. So I won't be able to post for that long amount of time.
But I don't want to slow everyone down either.
You think I could still be in this, and would still be able to fit into the story even if I haven't posted for...a week?

@Thadine: A week? Sure, you can still be in this! There's no problem with that, as long as you can catch up when you return and don't just randomly drop out because of 'complications' with catching up. If you do have an issue when you return, I'll be happy to catch you up in a summarized version. ^^

That's gonna suck, Tabby. Dx I'll miss you! Again! This is just making worry about the 14th when I leave for a week; no Internet. What exactly am I gonna do in that time? Is the reunion really a freaking week long? *dreading Tabby's leave and my own far away one*

Even for a story, I know if I was reading something that took three pages just to describe how beautiful this tree is, I'd be a little aggravated.

Paitence is a virtue. The only time there is too much detail is when it takes like...three pages to descripe one item. However, if it five pages or so to describe one scene its just lengthy and well(least hope so if that long) written. It could be acceptable though for somethning to have a very long description if it valuable to the plot-like that machine in Chronos-
