Welcome to Bellingstone

Bellingstone, Pennsylvania was founded back in 1818 as a safe-haven for supernatural creatures. In modern days, however, it's transformed into a tourist rest stop with conflict brewing. Will this small town be able to survive the impending drama?

The small, quaint town of Bellingstone is nestled right in the Appalachian Mountains in Western Pennsylvania. Though it was once a quiet, secluded area, with the building of a new highway, it's become a rest stop for countless vacationers and roadtrippers. But, even though this little town appears innocent on the outside, it houses deep, dark secrets.

Bellingstone was founded in the early 1800s by two young men; Felix Wolff, a German immigrant, and his friend, Achilles Dubois, a wealthy Frenchman. Though one was a naive foreigner who barely spoke a word of English and the other was a well-to-do businessman, the two were able to strike up a close friendship when they realized how close they actually were. As it turned out, Felix Wolff came from a long line of German werewolves whereas Achilles Dubois came from an ancient chain of vampires. At said time in history, both of their races had been hunted to near extinction by those who called themselves Hunters. With the idea to form a town to protect these supernatural creatures, the two set out and purchased themselves acres upon acres of wilderness in the mountains.

The town seemed to appear almost overnight with the help of werewolves and vampires alike. By the time winter rolled around in 1818, Bellingstone had become a fully-fuctioning town that was, more or less, invisible to the outside world. By the time the Civil War had passed over the rest of the United States, the population of supernatural creatures had increased considerably, exceeding a few hundred. Until 1956, only one or two lost people a year would pop up in the town and "disappear" when a few young vampires were unable to contain themselves. With the Interstate Highway System, which was built in 1956, Bellingstone suddenly found itself a major rest stop on the way through the Appalachian Mountains. The town completely changed, attempting to keep up with the growing number of tourists who stopped on their way cross-country. By 1980, Bellingstone had near doubled in size, though not population, and all but lost its small town vibe.

In 2010, a family of tourists disappeared without a trace. While authorities searched for them without luck, the citizens knew exactly what had happened. A young group of vampires, without anyone knowing, had attacked the group and drained them of their plasma before anyone could stop them. Though the young vampires were punished for their wrongdoings, the werewolves couldn't help but feel a sudden distrust toward the vampires. Soon, the two main races of Bellingstone became adversaries, avoiding the other as much as possible. And yet, life continued on until a group of Hunters appeared in Bellingstone, certain that the disappearance, which had been passed off as a group of lost travelers, had to do with the supernatural creatures they'd been fighting to find their entire lives.

Now, with three groups against each other in Bellingstone, how will this small town be affected?

The werewolf pack of Bellingstone has always been united. It functions as a normal wolf pack would with close ties, an obligation to feed the young first, and an undying loyalty to the elders. The male and female pairs are mated pairs who live as married or dating couples in society. The werewolves, in human form, are usually tanned, toned, and look as if they spend every day in the sun, which they mostly do. Werewolves can be created through werewolf-werewolf relationships or werewolf-human relationships. It is a dominant trait. Werewolves can be created through the bites of another werewolf. They can change form when they wish to but are forced to change their form each full moon for the entire night. Wolf forms appear simply as larger-than-normal wolves. Usually, one of the alpha pair's offspring will take over the pack after the prime of the leader has passed. However, in the past, other males or females have been able to take over. Currently, however, the Alpha Male is a direct descendent of Felix Wolff, one of the founders. A bit of a wild card, he's only dating his Alpha Female. They have not married in their human forms nor have they mated.

Werewolf Strengths: Wolf form, super speed, super strength, heightened endurance, enlarged fangs that can tear flesh easily, telepathy between pack members which can easily be turned on or off

Werewolf Weaknesses: Forced to transform every full moon, they can be killed with any weapon but they are especially vulnerable to silver, silver in general, wolfsbane

Age at Which They Show Signs of Werewolfism: Symptoms of werewolfism appear during puberty. Therefore, most female werewolves show their wolf form before males.

Alpha Male: Axel Jaeger Wolff

Alpha Female: Leanna Romero

Beta Male: Samuel Pierce

Beta Female: Josephine Beckett

Delta Male (Beta-in-training): Lassiter Declan

Delta Female (Beta-in-training: Caroline King

Subordinates/Pack Members (21+ years old): Lauren Haley Pierce

Juveniles(0-20 years old): Mavis Spencer

Omegas:

(Suggested faceclaims include: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padelecki, Misha Collins, Keira Knightly, Michelle Rodriquez, Sanaa Lathan, or an tanned/toned actor/actress)

The vampires are just as closely knit as the werewolves, in their own sense. While they don't have as much of a ranking as the wolf pack, they are still very close and spend a lot of time around other members. The current coven leader took over after the untimely demise of Achilles Dubois and has held control since. Since human blood is so hard to come by nowadays, it is a delicacy to the vampires. Instead, they find themselves reduced to hunting animals such as deer in the woods, like the werewolves, to receive their blood fix. Though their flesh is not sensitive to sunlight, it is usually pale. Their eyes, however, are sensitive and they are usually spotted wearing sunglasses or hats of some sort to block out the light. Unlike the werewolves, they usually live longer and seem to retain their youth more. A child produced in a vampire-vampire relationship will become a vampire. However, a vampire-human relationship or human-vampire relationship results in a human child. In less words, it's a recessive gene. Vampires can also be created through a bite by a vampire.

Vampire Strengths: Super speed, super strength, fangs, one or two powers which they learn to control and perfect over time, naturally charismatic and seductive

Vampire Weaknesses: Must feed at least once a week to live (most vampires feed much more than that), silver, holy water or crosses, wooden stakes, their eyes are sensitive to sunlight

Age at Which They Show Signs of Vampirism: Vampirism shows signs in infants. It is a lifelong thing though they will not gain powers until old enough.

Coven Leader: Cristine Rose Hart

Right-hand Man/Woman: Livius Vibi

Vampires (100+ years as a vampire): Lenora Vivian Ruth; Nikolai Lannister

Fledglings (0-99 as a vampire): Isabella Gabrielle Clarke; Sterling Pearce

(Suggested faceclaims include: Ezra Miller, Benedict Cumberbatch, Drew Barrymore, Anna Popplewell, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jessica Chastain, or any pale skinned, high-cheekboned or regal-looking actor/actress)

The Hunters are basically a group of humans who hold some sort of grudge against supernatural creatures. Quite a few of them were born into their role while some joined after the suffered a loss or were pressured into it. It's a bit of a rigid group with many guidelines. A child born into the Hunters is raised normally until age fourteen. Once they reach said age, they are forced into the world of Hunting and join the branch at age twenty-one, if successful. There are countless branches of it, but this one in the eastern portion of the United States moved to Bellingstone after hearing word of the 2010 tourist accident. They've been here ever since, even buying a few homes and trying to settle in amidst the creatures they plan to kill.

Leader: Sebastian Harding

Deputy (Second-in command): Alarick Morgenstern

Hunters (21+): Nika Boronina; Ariana Kaye

Hunters in Training (14-21): Annelise Lautsen;

(Suggested faceclaims include: Basically anyone who looks as if they could hold a gun)

Image

The other citizens of Bellingstone include humans, coven-less vampires, pack-less wolves, or even ex-Hunters. The humans are unaware of the supernatural creatures and have taken up jobs just like everyone else to make a living. The vampires and wolves that act as loners are usually shunned slightly by the Dubois Coven and the Wolff Pack-- at least the two groups can agree on something. Ex-Hunters are extremely uncommon in the town. Most Hunters either die while working or retire and move away. Hunters that retire and stay are greatly respected, though. However, some might stay or maybe there's a few Hunters who simply gave up their life as a Hunter?

Humans: Elena Montgomery; Jeremy Donovan; Demetria Hawke; Leighton Harding

Loner Werewolves: Derek Hale; Sara Yasmine Jay; Albrecht Wolff

Loner Vampires: Benny Lafitte

Ex-Hunters:

Other: Caterina DeLuca; Nettie Duncan; Meela Carnegie

1. Please respect the feelings and thoughts of all roleplayers in this thread. We are all here for the same reasons and we all deserve to be treated in a kind, courteous manner. Any fights outside of the roleplay must be taken outside of the roleplay. Please do not rope any third-parties into arguments. OOC is for courteous conversation and suggestion, not bullying nor fighting.

2. Godmodding, bunnying, and metagaming are strictly prohibited. Godmodding can be defined as cheating the system so your character is virtually invincible. This is similar to the term "mary-sue" or "gary-sue" in a way. Godmodding usually involves a character leaving a battle unscathed. This also includes unapproved hits and/or kills. Bunnying is the use of another character, who is neither your own nor an NPC, without the permission of the character's owner. When attacking, assume each hit misses. When defended, make sure to allow a believable amount of hits reach your character. The term metagaming refers to accidentally or purposely using outside knowledge that affects the roleplay. For example, if your character knows of a sneak-attack, yet wasn't present at the discussion of it, then it is improbable and considered metagaming.

3. Keep your characters consistent with their personality!

4. Suggestions for a creature, pack/coven, or a rank in a pack/coven? Shoot me a private message or post it in the OOC.

5. Please, please do not post one-liners in the roleplay. Each post should, and even dialogue should, be a paragraph at minimum. As an experienced roleplayer, I can easily tell you that one-liners are the leading cause of dead roleplays. I'd love a minimum of 200 to 300 words, but that doesn't always work in dialogue situations, I know. Just try to elaborate as much s possible. Use imagery and describe your characters thoughts, feelings, etc. Flesh them out!

6. Use proper grammar and spelling, please!

7. I understand that life becomes hectic and we become busy but please try to post as often as possible and please do not leave anyone hanging in a roleplay. It isn't fun waiting around days for a response. Please post in the OOC or private message me if any conflicts come up that will last over twenty-fours hours.

Annelise timidly accepted Leighton's claims of what she was allowed to do, biting her lip as the little blonde scurried out into the snow. She sighed, walking away and back into the kitchen as she held her head in her hands. Slumping down at the table, she tried to eat some more of the breakfast Sebastian had made, only managing to swallow a few pieces of bacon before she pulled out her phone. She sniffed softly as she felt her eyes start to well up with tears, wiping them away hastily in case Leighton came back in.

Maybe I should try and talk to him..? Annelise asked herself silently, her finger trembling over the CALL button before she backed out of the window and went to surf the internet, to try and distract herself as much as she could being stuck in his house. She tried to tell herself, that if she didn't have to watch Leighton, she would leave and hold up her promise from last night. Maybe she would leave town and start somewhere new, or maybe she'd just stay here and become a hermit. Her mind wandered, infecting her with a fear of how hollow her life would be without Sebastian. What if she met someone abusive? What if she was killed by some filthy dog? The brunette trembled, slamming her phone down on the table and walking over to the window by the front yard to check on Leighton. Annelise put on the most convincing smile she could muster and peeked out into the toy-scattered snow, her eyes darting around calmly, not even registering the man in front of Leighton. She had almost called out to the small girl before she finally realized Sterling. Just looking at him made her stomach drop. He didn't look like he had the intention of hurting Leighton, but why would he make it so obvious if he did?

Her instincts told her to bolt outside and grab Leighton, but what if the man saw her and took that as an opportunity to grab Leigh? She had a hunch, everything he did screaming NOT HUMAN, but she didn't want to assume wrong. All she knew was that he should not have been there either way. Trembling, Annelise hobbled over to the kitchen table again, her limp hand somehow picking up her phone and calling Sebastian. He would answer wouldn't he? Why wouldn't he assume the worst? He.. He would never assume she was just calling about last night.. right?

Sebastian’s act of nonchalance over the topic of vampires and hunters was not fooling anyone, especially Caroline who found the entire charade childish if she were truthful. Her disdain over the situation was quite evident by her posture, she sat right up in the chair, her arms folded tightly against her chest as her eyes narrowed, zeroing in on him like she were the hunter. The tension within the room was thick, especially as they stared at one another for a good minute or two within silence, the hatred exuberating from every pore in his body, even if he did keep his rather stoic expression.

Dog… That’s what he had called her. The derogatory insult cutting her like a knife and for a brief moment Caro wished he would have gone back to playing ignorant. The word was spoken with such malice that even the threats which followed could not surpass, her breathing hitched as she cast her sapphire hues downwards, needing a moment to compose herself. For a moment or two she wondered if she had made the right decision in coming here, perhaps she should have heeded Axel’s warnings and followed his orders and just stayed out, but again her conscience spoke louder than her sense. After a few moments and deep breaths Caroline returned her gaze to the hunter sat across from her. "I want you to know, though, that I could kill you over seventy ways in this room alone. So, don't try anything funny, okay?" She could have rolled her eyes at the statement and retorted with her own threat, but she was wiser than that, she knew such things would only get her a bullet between the eyes and so she merely nodded.

"I'm also not sure what you know about this vampire, or if this vampire is even one I'm looking for. How do I know you're not just planning something against me, hm? Hell, for all I know, this could be a plan against me with the rest of your pack mates." With a heavy sigh, Caroline sank back into the chair, her stoic expression being replaced by one of utter frustration. She ran her hand quickly through her golden hair as she released an exasperated, honestly hunters could be the stubbornness of humans at times. "And, lastly, why come to me? You could probably do something about it. You didn't know I was going to let you live, either…Really, I should be your last resort...unless you dogs have simply become that desperate?"

She nearly growled upon hearing the term dog once again, but yet again decided against it, it would only increase her risk and it would surely kill Sam if something would happen to her. “I don’t know if this vampire is the one you are looking for,” Caroline admitted honestly, shrugging her shoulders as she did so. “I was merely telling you my suspicions. And I know I cannot say or do anything that will ease your suspicions of me or my pack, but we are not your enemies, we want only peace, to live our life’s as best we can with our curse.” She spoke in a hushed tone, one that only Sebastian could have heard, “but I do not expect you to understand that. To you we are just monsters, just another species for you to slaughter, hunt down and kill. We didn’t ask for this life and we do what we can to live normal lives, I own a business, pay taxes and I have not once laid a hand on another being, we are [i]not[/] dogs.”

"No doubt..." Caterina replied, not making eye contact. She still felt so immeasurably guilty. Cat turned her broom over in her hands, decidedly inspecting the bristles, garnering the courage to pry-yet again-into Axel's life though she had no intention of sharing any secrets of her own. "I don't have any qualms about doing my job, even during freak occurrences." She smiled lightly but halfheartedly.

"So...speaking of freak occurrences..." She set the broom down, propping it against the wall, before sauntering over to same waste bin Axel was hovering by to empty out her own pan full of shards, bits of bulb glass reflecting her own culpable image. "Who was that guy you were fighting with yesterday?" She quickly took note of the way a sudden rage and hurt sank into every line and crevice of Axel's face and thought to better her pose her question with a false explanation. "I mean, I just wanted to know in case we aren't supposed to let him in the diner or something. Black list. I'll put the poliziotti on speed dial if I have to..." Cat tentatively looked up, peering at him through a thick dark set of lashes, brow puckered, lower lip caught between her teeth. Oh, she was just awful. A horrible human being really, preying on him like that.

ImageWhen had her life come to this? A witch investigating whether or not her boss was a werewolf. It sounded like a laugh track sitcom starring Michael J. fox. Caterina De Luca was used to a life of caprice. Working surrounded by a flock of well-dressed peoples loitering in luxurious surroundings, lounging indolently on plush velvet divans or mingling in the corners, exchanging carefree giggles and gossip. Used to hearing the trill of high-pitched laughter mixed with the gentle clink of crystal goblets filled with the finest wines. Pearly-white teeth peeking from the jaded smiles of elegant men and women, wearing the latest fashions from Chanel and Armani; not hot-blooded werewolf rednecks battling it out in some podunk diner.

Caterina's face hardened. She had little patience for people such as those anymore. Although proper to be sure, those preening sybarites were no friends of hers, merely socialites and libertines, more interested in their own epicurean pleasures than understanding the world around them or her for that matter. That was why she had left, to find shelter, reprieve from judging eyes...to better understand herself and her supernatural background. She'd gladly investigate werewolf diner owners and sweep up magically shatter glass than sit in some mansion like a fine china doll not to be handled too much least she be broken.

ImageNik's smile softened, and Gabby's tension seemed to dissolve, even though she hadn't even known she'd been holding it in. He joked with her, and she actually gave him a small smile, a REAL smile. Perhaps they could have a good rest of the day, without any more arguments. “Now tell me, what gifts do you possess?” he asked her, and if blood had been running though her veins, she surely would have blushed. She bit her lower lip, a habit she never seemed to shake from when she was a human. She averted her eyes to the ground. In the back of her mind, she realized she'd spent more time looking away from him than at him. Somehow, that didn't make her feel good about their relationship. “Oh...you haven't discerned that yet, have you?” He didn't sound disappointed or mad, so she looked up at him. “All the better, we can discover that together.” She gave him a nod, visibly seeming less nervous or worried.

He called one of his many women into the room then, and she came eagerly within seconds. Asking if Nik was hungry, Gabby could hear the plea in her voice. Her brows furrowed in confusion, not understanding what human would willingly ask to be fed from. And then he explained. His bite was addictive. The thought felt alien in her brain, since she had spent years upon years forcing humans into submission to feed. And here was a man, her maker, who could willingly feed on anyone, and they would enjoy it. She could even see this Crystal yearning for his bite. She couldn't even fathom the idea. And as she watched his face, it twisted into a sort of cruel grin. It was at times like this that Gabby truly wondered what kind of man her maker was. He seemed to think he could rule the world. Perhaps he actually could.

Suddenly, he grabbed Crystal by the shoulders and whirled her forcefully around so she stared into his eyes. Gabby knew this trick. Compulsion. Something she had seen in all the vampire movies and shows that existed. Of course, she hadn't known it was a gift only given to a select few. She had tried it once, when she was only a few years in being a vampire. Of course, it didn't work, and she had only scared the human so much that he had wet himself. Then she had fed and left him in the alley unconscious. She had never tried again. She was brought out of her past by Crystal, gushing loudly about how much she liked Gabby, and that she could feed off of her anytime she wished. She raised an eyebrow questioningly, however Crystal didn't seem to even notice, still gushing about how Gabby had to come back and stay for awhile. "Sure, Crystal..." she said, anything to shut the other girl up. Nik dismissed her quickly, and she was still staring at Gabby lovingly as she left.

“My second gift is compulsion. I can make anyone at any given time do exactly what I want if they only but look at me. It doesn't work on other vampires, and I have yet to ever try it on a wolf, but all the same, it is rather useful...” His excitement and interest at the start of this little show had seemed to wear off for him, since he sounded extremely bored already. She shook off her irritation, however, because if she didn't try to get him to like her, they could never have a good relationship. “I thought today you might come out with me an give it a whirl. I'll bet you have an aptitude for it, being my child.” Her eyes brightened at his words, excitement spreading throughout every nerve in her body. Now they were getting to the good part, the part where Gabby actually got to DO something...

Image"Oh, yes, can we?" she asked, her voice almost sounding as excited as Crystal's. Almost. "I mean, I've tried it once and it failed. But I'm older now, right? I'm sure I can do it now," she rambled on, hopping up from her seat and grabbing Nik's arm. She practically dragged him outside and down the steps, stopping on the sidewalk. "Where should we go? Who can I try it out on? She scanned the area around them, although they were pretty secluded, and she frowned when she saw they were entirely alone. She looked at him expectantly, wanting him to lead her to someone she could compel. After all, he said he was going to teach her, so he better live up to the promise. She placed a hand on her hip, and began tapping her foot. Many would call her childish at times, but she just wore her feelings on her sleeves. She couldn't hide something, having it be so obvious on her face. She could be trusting, respectful, and graceful. But she could also be bitchy, whiny, and throw a mean tantrum. It had been something she had tried to change at first, but eventually she came to like that fact about herself. After all, she was brutally honest and open with everyone. She had a feeling Nik wouldn't particularly like that part of her, though.

Typically, Sam had a way with words, and could get others to see his perspective. Today was not that day. Immediately after he ceased his speech, Leanna jumped up on all fours and growled at him and Caro. His ears flattened, and his eyes narrowed towards the female. Leanna was the Alpha female, and technically had more power in the pack than Sam did as beta. However, Axel had always listened to Sam's words and took them to heart. Almost always more so than Leanna, anyway. He was only attempting to love her, and didn't truly. Although after she went on her little tirade, Axel seemed positively pleased with her. Sam sat down on his haunches, anger coursing through him.

"Axel is our Alpha... He know's what's best for the pack. It's his decision," she said, ending her rant. Sam's eyes slowly panned over to Axel's, waiting for the reaction of his alpha. "I do not believe Leanna could have explained it better," Axel finally spoke, and Sam averted his gaze. He knew this was not going to end well for both himself and Caro. He could have possibly just lost most of the trust that Axel had placed in him. All because he was looking out for the good of the pack, not focusing on a past vendetta that Axel had.

Sam's eyes found Axel's once more as the Alpha spoke more. "There's nothing beneficial to us letting a traitor in. You saw him yesterday, you heard him say he wanted the position of Alpha, didn't you?" Sam thought back to the previous night. Sure, Albrecht had come back expecting things to be the same as they had been when he left. But no one had attempted to explain anything to him. Axel just blew up in his face and that was it. Albrecht had been in this pack once, he knew how things worked. The man would have to understand, if only someone cared to talk to him. Sam didn't believe that Albrecht was that dull of a man.

"A true wolf would stay with his pack...not run away like the coward Albrecht is," the alpha continued, Sam watching him carefully. The hate was audible in his voice, Axel obviously not attempting to mask it. "He shouldn't even be able to call himself a member of the Wolff family...he's a disgrace." Sam could feel Axel's anger and rage, and also his exhaustion. He sighed, the sound carrying to all the wolves of the pack. Axel was finished with this conversation, and Sam knew it. "Pack dismissed... the alpha said, and the wolves began to disperse. He gave them all one last command. "Steer clear of the Hunters and don't interact with Albrecht." And with that, he was gone. And so were the rest of them. Sam lingered for a moment before taking off himself.

He ran home before changing back into a human. Just as he got inside, his phone buzzed. He grabbed it off the table (after all what wolf needed a cell phone), and opened the message. ‘Can I come and see you in a few hours? I missed you last night.’ it read, and Sam smiled. She was the one thing that would make him feel better. He quickly typed back to her. 'Of course. Just let me know when and I'll be there in a jiffy.' He hit send, then winced as he read it once more. Jiffy? Where the hell had that come from? Sighing, he set the phone down and began to pace back and forth. He really had no plans, and honestly wasn't sure what to do with himself.

ImageAfter an hour, he couldn't stand it anymore. He walked back outside and headed for the diner. The place was a wreck after last night, and it needed to be cleaned. He was fairly confident that Axel was going to be so busy being pissed that he wouldn't show up to the diner. Not yet. So he was more than surprised when he opened the door and found both him and Cat standing inside. He absentmindedly wondered if Leanna knew he was here with Cat. His boots crunched as the shards of glass shattered even more under his weight. "Well shit," he whispered to himself, bringing a hand up to rub his hair, lost for words. "I figured I'd come help clean up the diner... he said stupidly, knowing they probably had guessed that's why he was there. Without another word he grabbed a broom and began sweeping. He didn't want to piss of Axel any more than he already had. He kept his mouth shut as he swept, waiting for Axel to make the first move.

Everything was fading slowly for Ariana. The darkness was welcoming her, calling her name. She reached for it hungrily, tired of all the pain. She just wanted it to end, to be at peace. It was close, she could feel it. She closed her eyes for the last time, not wanting Tommy's face to be the last thing she saw. The fuzziness enveloped her, and she was ready to let go. At the last second, a voice shot through the fog, clear as day. "Hey!" it shouted, and she recognized it immediately. Jeremy. She was thinking of Jeremy in her last moments. That was how she wanted it, she realized. She smiled at the thought of his voice.

ImageSuddenly, the hand was ripped off of her throat, and she gasped for air, taking extremely large breaths. Her eyes darted around rapidly, but her vision was foggy. She heard rustling, but couldn't figure out what was going on. She was grabbed and hoisted to her feet, the action making her brain focus. Jeremy's face came into focus, and he looked truly shaken. But then he turned around, facing Tommy. Well shit... she thought frantically. Jeremy had come to rescue her, not knowing exactly what he was getting himself into. Now, instead of just her dying, he was going to be killed as well. All because of her. "Jeremy, no..." she croaked, her voice extremely raspy. She clung to him, trying to get him to listen to her, but he wouldn't. “You want someone to choke, bring it on Dracula.” Jeremy's voice was clear and strong, not intimidated in the slightest. He was so brave and noble, he didn't deserve to die. Tommy kept advancing toward the pair, and she gripped Jeremy's arm even harder. She pulled, attempting to put herself in front of him instead, but he still refused to budge. "No, please!" she begged him, but she could have been talking to a wall for all the good it did.

“First I am going to eat your boyfriend here, drain him so dry his body will concave on itself like a caprisun pouch. Make you watch, as helplessly as I did when you walked away from me into the arms of this Wonderboy...” Tommy spoke, his mouth curling up into a grimace so evil and cruel, he could have been in a horror movie. Ariana's eyes narrowed at his words. "No." She whispered it to herself more than anyone else. She would not let him hurt Jeremy, she would do anything she could to prevent that from happening. She started to move herself in front of Jeremy, putting herself in danger. Maybe he would have time to get away while Tommy was draining her dry. “Then you and me will have some real fun-”

ImageHis voice was cut off by a choke, and Tommy's eyes widened. A piece of wood protruded through his chest, covered in his own blood. "Anyone e'er tell you you talk too much?” A voice asked, seemingly coming from nowhere. But then the body crumpled to the ground, and she got a look at the attacker. The cook-turned-waiter stood there, staring at the both of them. A chair leg crudely ripped off a chair stuck out of Tommy's back, and she watched with no remorse as his body dissolved away, the ashes beginning to blow away with the wind. She began to loosen her grip on Jeremy, no longer frightened. Whoever this man was, he was a friend. He knew of the secret world she had been a part of for years. And know Jeremy knew too. She wouldn't have to lie to him about her past. She felt relieved. Relieved that Tommy was gone, the threat eradicated. She was relieved Jeremy was alive. And she was relieved that she wouldn't have to lie to him.

Without thinking, she ran in front of him, cupped his face in her hands, and kissed him. She put all of her emotions into it: fear, anger, relief. She didn't want to pull away, but she knew they had an audience. She pulled back, hoping he could read all of her feelings in her eyes, that he knew how much she cared about him. She turned to face the third person in the alley, backing up behind Jeremy just in case. She knew he would want to be protective, and this once she would let him. She held onto his arm, liking the reassuring feeling of him next to her. "You know," she said simply, watching him with extreme curiosity, and yet also with wariness. "How do you know?" she asked, wondering how he had found them in the alley, and also how he had known to kill the vampire.

Accepting that there was nothing else he could do to help the woman out with her car, Al grabbed the hood of the car and pulled it downward to stop the emission of smoke into the air. Albrecht casually leaned up against Sara's car at that point, his spread palms pressing against the top of her vehicle as he waited for some sort of response out of her. There was a sort of silence that ensued as she most likely thought over his offer which, he had to admit, was pretty odd to hear out of a man you'd never met before. Just as he was about to offer again to take Sara back to her home, a voice sounded to the side that caused Albrecht to look over in confusion.
Image
"She doesn't. Sara." Al looked over at the man who the voice belonged to, an eyebrow cocked over his dark brown eyes as he gave the man a look of incredulousness. Was this man actually just going to walk over and address him like that? It didn't matter if he knew Sara, which he obviously seemed to; he had no right to speak at either of them like that in Albrecht's eyes.

At the same time, though, the scent of male wolf overwhelmed him so much that he wrinkled his nose quickly in disgust. It was the same scent Axel had worn the day before in the diner that had caused him to grow even more angry with his younger sibling-- it was the same scent he wore now. The scent of Alpha male was heavy on him, rank and overpowering, really. Even now, it grew more so as he pushed himself into standing position to move closer toward the other male, his dark eyes narrowing slightly as his head cocked, not so much a curious gesture as it was intimidating-- or so he hoped.

"Excuse me...?" he asked, stepping forward to size up to the man. Their eyes almost lined up, though Derek was taller still by an inch. "I'm pretty sure I asked her, not you, hot shot." Focusing more on the man's face, he realized that there must have been at least ten years between them. "What makes you think you can just answer for her? How about you give her a chance to speak?"

Turning his back to the man with a slightly disgusted expression, he faced Sara. "So, do you want that ride or is 'Skippy' going to give you a ride?" He jerked a thumb back in Derek's direction a bit rudely, not caring about the fact that the man was obviously a werewolf like him.

Leighton started giggling at the sight of seeing Sterling so frazzled by her precarious perching, it was positively hilarious. "I'm not gonna fall, I know how to stand!" She huffed out in between laughs. "You're not weird, you're nice....You remind me of Daddy."

The little girl grew somber in an instant at the mere mention of her father. "He liked books a lot too. He was always teaching me new words." She smiled sadly up at him, her large green eyes holding unfathomable depths before the light found it's way back into those emeralds-Gems sparkling with that same good humor after a only moments passing.

ImageLeigh playfully swatted at his chest, another giggle bursting forth. "He ALSO didn't like me to stand on top of things, gettin' all upset like I was gonna get hurt. When will everyone learn that I am the Winter Princess, and Princesses don't fa-" The little girls words were cut short by a tiny pink rain boot slipping on the wet seat with a squeak, sending her tumbling into Sterlings stiff arms, books hitting the ground. "Whoops." She said breathily. "Guess I still got some Princess practice I gotta do." Stray blonde curls plastered themselves to her weather wetted brow, the longest ones tickling her pink nose.

ImageImage"I answer for her because she is mine." He growled, voice growing lower and lower with each word until it was little more than a rumble like the rolling thunder. "She's not going to run off with some senior citizen who's idea of a good time is to get her alone in his car." Derek took a step forward, wishing Sara would just catch on and come and stand behind him. She couldn't possibly be interested in this wolf, could she? The nagging insecurities that were running rampant in his mind only furthered his agitation and aggression toward Albrecht, never mind the fact that the testosterone in the air was palpable enough to be cut with a knife.

He came nearly nose to nose with the stranger, using the slight height difference to his advantage as he pushed the wolf back with his chest--hands remaining clenched by his side. "First and only warning Champ, Back. Off." Derek was doing his best to remain a man, but his bestial nature was betrayed by his cobalt eyes-lit from within until they nearly glowed, sharpened incisors, and claw like fingernails digging into the palms of his fists leaving little angry red crescent shaped marks in his skin.

His derogatory comments, though childish, succeeded in allowing Sebastian to keep his cool despite being so terribly close to this werewolf, this monster. He should have killed her there. Perhaps he didn't exactly know seventy ways to kill her in his small, makeshift office, but he was certainly not a force to be trifled with or taken lightly by anyone, man or beast. He felt unsafe, encroached perhaps. And anyone who had bothered to watch a National Geographic program in their lifetime knew that an animal was instinctively never comfortable being confronted. Yes, he wouldn't show it, but she intimidated him. They all did, really. What they were was not normal, had never been detected by scientists or doctors. It was simply unnatural and he didn't like it.

His eyes scanned over the werewolf again, noticing how her posture had shifted so that she was sitting completely up right with her arms folded. He gave a quick raise of the right eyebrow, watching her as if she were crazy for doing so. Seb, on the other hand, had taken to leaning back in his office chair, hands clasped over his lean stomach as he watched her "nonchalantly". On the outside, he appeared calm and collected. On the inside, however, his mind raced and his heart beat swiftly, so loud he thought it might be heard. A few deep breaths entered his lungs and left. He had to calm down...he couldn't let the dog smell his fear.
Image
The hitch in her breath evoked a surprised expression from Sebastian, who wondered what he'd done to receive such a response. In return, however, a light smirk appeared on his face and he even allowed a laugh to pass. In his mind, he now held the upper hand and that caused him great reassurance. It wouldn't be held for long, he knew, but he would at least savor it while it was still in his grasp.

Soon after, her head lifted and she looked back at him with, at first, a calm, blank visage. As he spoke, though, she replaced it with one of frustration that caused Seb to narrow his eyes slightly in annoyance. Now that he had finished speaking, she responded to all of the theories he'd fired off.

"I don’t know if this vampire is the one you are looking for." She gave a noncommittal shrug that caused the Hunter to tense subtly.

"Then why the hell come to me?" he wished to say, eyes rolling slightly. "I have better things to do than have some smelly dog give me false leads all day." Seb managed to hold his tongue, though, knowing this was the closet he might get to finding Nika's killer. No one else had come forward with information regarding the death. As far as he knew, this was the only lead he would be finding and he really did not want to chase her off...or, at least not before she gave him information.

“I was merely telling you my suspicions. And I know I cannot say or do anything that will ease your suspicions of me or my pack, but we are not your enemies, we want only peace, to live our life’s as best we can with our curse.” Sebastian almost scoffed.
Image
"You poor thing..." he muttered a bit under his breath like her so as to avoid a passing cop from entering to question the two. "Your curse." He smirked slightly at this and looked aside slightly from her before turning his attention back again.

“But I do not expect you to understand that. To you we are just monsters, just another species for you to slaughter, hunt down and kill. We didn’t ask for this life and we do what we can to live normal lives, I own a business, pay taxes and I have not once laid a hand on another being, we are not dogs.”

Now, he truly did scoff and cross his arms over his chest. "That's rich, Miss King," he remarked, unable to fight back the sarcastic tone now. "Do you expect me to pity you? To accept your sob story and renounce my ways?" He slowly stood, his palms pressed to the table.

"If you had been raised to believe that your kind was evil, were killers, wouldn't you find it hard to renounce those ideas?" he asked rhetorically. "Read the old fables, Miss King...not one shows your kind in a positive light. And why should they? Vampires and werewolves have been preying on humans for ages-- I'm sure you're familiar with the incident in 2010? What do you think caused those people to disappear?" Letting those words sink in, he sat back down and pulled his chair closer to the table, sitting straight up now with his hands clasped on the table top. "I'm not a monster either, Miss King." Again, a silence ensued as he thought over what to do next with the information he'd been offered.

"Now, your information would be greatly appreciated in this case," he said calmly, as if they hadn't just spoken of werewolves and vampires. "Could you give me a name to record...or, a physical description if you must?" Just as he was pulling out a piece of paper to write upon, his old cell phone began to ring on top of the desk. Reading the caller ID, he was surprised to see Annelise was trying to reach him. His first instinct being he'd left her with Leighton, he actually quickly picked up the phone and held up a finger to say "one minute" to Caro as he muttered, "give me a second." Meanwhile, he turned his chair to the side so he was not facing the werewolf, but could see her from the corner of his eye. "Hello? Is everything alright?"

Annelise's stomach settled the second she heard Sebastian's voice, her initial worries fading away. Now the only ones that took over were the thoughts of how he might respond. What if he got angry at her for not pulling Leighton inside right away? Moving back to the living room and watching far enough away from the window so she couldn't be spotted, she started to explain.

"Th-There's a man.. In the front yard with Leighton." She began bluntly, her weak voice being enough to give away how horrified she was that her suspicions of the stranger were correct. "I can see them right now.. But I-I'm afraid if I go out there he'll grab her, and I don't...." She trailed off, her eyes flashing with a mixture of fear and hatred as Leighton continued to talk with Sterling and hit him on the chest playfully. "I don't think.. He's human." The brunette squeaked, her knees growing weak and forcing her to sit on the couch. She didn't want to sound stupid, but she was so afraid she had no idea what else to ask. "Wh-What should I do?" She whimpered softly, tears welling in her eyes as she kept a close eye on the pair.

ImageGabrielle pulled him from his home, clinging to his arm with the excitement of a child about to experience a long time dream never fully realized. She was so eager to try out her gifts, to be molded in her makers image that he couldn't help but chuckle. "Where should we go? Who can I try it out on?" She queried, eyes darting over the cypresses, maples, and oaks as if some perfect unsuspecting victim would just stumble upon the pair of enthusiastic vampires. Nik placed his cold stone hands on her shoulders to steady her and smiled, a flash of heaven in the very pit of hell in his innocent expression, as if the devil had still retained the face and form of the angel after the fall, his white fangs just barely touching his lower lip. "Calm down my girl, we aren't to find you just any poor soul. We shall find someone worth while; someone interesting so that your first experience shall be your most favored." Nik removed his hands from her shoulders to rub them together; cocking his head to the side as he looked at at her appraisingly. "How would you like to go for a joy ride?" He asked after a few seconds of mulling it over, voice dripping with mischief. "I believe a little compulsion and the police force in Bellingstone will be all to happy to oblige you with a squad car...we can turn on the sirens and tear through this miserable one horse town. Sound fun to you?" He arched a perfect blonde eyebrow before dropping it to waggle them both like some reckless teenager propositioning her to under aged drinking.

~

Not too many moments later he was dashing through the forest, moving with inhuman speed, the trees all blurring as he streaked past like a jet fighter; Gabrielle close on his heels. The air coming off of them created a wind that rippled through the bare branches, icicles shivering and clinking together in a musical way, the few leaves that still clung to the frozen limbs tearing off and fluttering to the snow draped ground. "You're going to have to run faster than that to keep up with me my dear! I may be old but I'm quick!" His laughter rang out through the cold mid-morning air like a golden bell, taunting.

ImageHe raced her like that until they had traversed the entire spanse of the wood between his not so humble abode and the police station, the gleeful grin never dropping from his bright countenance. "Perhaps next time darling." He tutted as he came to a full stop at the back door of the Bellingstone station house that opened up to the forest. "Seems I win for now..." He practically purred. "Comes with seniority I'm afraid, now, come come!" he placed his hand on the small of her back and pushed her forward, raising the other hand to comb his fingers through her long fiery mane to smooth it out from the windblown and raggled appearance she had given it by running. "I want you to listen, use your supernatural hearing to-" He froze in place, no longer guiding her forward, eye twitching, hand still caught in her hair. "Hold on...." Nik murmured, still unmoving. "I thought I heard...." He listened in closely to a conversation that just so happened to be transpiring in the office of a one Sheriff Harding at that very moment, his face growing more grave with each passing second.

For one moment in perfect stillness Nikolai passed into beauty, looking like a marble statue carved in Grecian times-an Adonis before he transcended into a fury that marred those comely features, breaking his state of inaction with a hiss as he drew in his breath and stood erect. "Behold," he said, stepping closer to the building, his green eyes gleaming as he felt the attention of Gabrielle's own eyes on his back. "We have a wolf on our hands...one that seeks to bring about my downfall by aligning herself with the hunters. Can't you just scent her stench?" He inquired, flicking his hand up at his face in an exaggerated gesture. "I'm afraid she has just made a most egregious error, a terrible lapse in judgment there...I believe...we have found ourselves a new task." His brow puckered pityingly for a moment, but not on Caroline's behalf-but on Gabby's. "You don't mind a brief intermission on our compulsion plans do you, little one? This is a matter of the utmost import that if I do not attend to now, it might cause more serious problems later...as soon as I'm done, we can continue on with stealing cop cars and trifling with impotent officers." He promised, gaze pleading though he did not need her permission to act nor could she have stopped him if she willed it.

ImageThe empty alley beneath an immense black sky, with only the cook and his date in his company, seemed all the more ghastly to Jeremy; the one flickering porch lamp hanging above the back door casting a feeble and gloomy light over the three compatriots. Silently he considered all the things that could have just transpired and I've gone mad was the only logical conclusion he could come to, the possibility of vampires actually existing too staggering to contemplate. A breath hitched in his throat as the last of the ashes formerly known as Tommy melded into snow and Ariana's grip lessened. His mind spun out of control, tilting off it's axis until she let go of his arm altogether to cup his face and pull him into a passionate kiss. Her lips were salty, tasting of the tears streaming down her cheeks and Jeremy found himself returning the kiss in earnest; so grateful she was alive and safe at his side. In fact, it was the only thing in that moment he could have been sure of so he clung to it like ivy would a trellis.

ImageWhen she broke off the embrace, it seemed her blue eyes faltered momentarily, but then her face so subtly transformed itself back to relief that he actually smiled down at her. He thought the cook had made some chagrined sound, but he was too engaged with Ariana and the softness of her touch to pay too much attention. Too soon for his liking, she peeled her hands away from his face and snaked her arm back around his bicep, cleaving to his side once more before turning to address their savior. "You know, how do you know?" She asked, understanding passing over Jeremy like a ton of bricks as she spoke. She knows what's going on? What just happened here?

Benny took a tentative step forward, the backlight glimmering in his steely blue eyes. He found his words had dried up in his throat, his lagging brain still clawing for a suitable answer so he ultimately he decided the safest route was to speak in half truths, better than accidentally forgetting a lie. "I-" His gaze dropped to his bloodied hands, his mouth pooling with saliva at the scent of Ariana's injuries. "My girlfriend...she was murdered by...by vampires." He paused, eyes catching Jeremy's as they lifted back up to meet the pair of accusing mortals. And in Jeremy he saw for the first time that night a glimmer of terrible understanding, the first glimmer of real fear. He hoped that the huntress would have her hands full with her civilian lover that she wouldn't see through the immortal face that masked Benny's true soul. "I had to hunt them down, to avenge her and ever since...I've been hunting their kind." He mustered up the best sad smile he could and prayed to no one in particular that she believed him-it was after all true enough until the ending.

Image
Image
"You can't be serious?!" Jeremy cried, voice cracking under the strain of rising panic. "Vampires aren't real-those are just stupid old stories...they-" His level gaze dropped to the ashen heap in the snow as he ran his free hand through his ruffled hair, teeth catching his lower lip. "Sam..." he intoned after a moment offering no explanation to the other two left to stew in their confusion. The cook Benny, Jeremy now recalling his name, ducked his head to catch his eyes again, concern written all over his scruffy face. "Who's Sam?" he inquired, knotting his blood stained hands in one another. "My sister. She was my sister." Jeremy ground out with a set jaw, turning to face Ariana. "How is it you know about Vampires? That one was trying to-to" He stuttered, unable to say kill, the word being too real for what had just almost happened. "That he attacked you? Do others know about this? Do they cover it up?" The boy's voice had taken on an edge of anger, rising imperceptibly as he pressed on. "Did they cover up my sister's murder? Her throat was torn out, blood drained from her body-they had said it was an animal attack." His jaw clenched once more along with his fists but he didn't pull Ariana off of his arm, not being able to bear her not at his side even in his rage. He was so relieved she was okay but he needed answers.

Benny shuffled his feet nervously, not liking the way Jeremy's voice was rising. It reminded him of the way an animal acted when injured on cornered.

Once he'd tossed the shards into the waste bin, Axel turned and leaned up against the counter, broom in one hand and dust pan in the other. Cat, after her quick response, had looked away from him, which only managed to confuse him and evoke a raise of an eyebrow from him. Why wasn't she looking at him? Had he done something to upset her yesterday? When she smiled, though, he seemed to relax slightly and returned the smile in a much broader fashion.

"I'm glad to hear that," he replied."Especially since you've only been working here, what, a day? Not even?" He chuckled softly and then turned his attention to the electrician who seemed to have forgotten he was being paid to assess the situation, not stare at Axel's Italian employee. The werewolf's eyes narrowed subtly and a low, almost inaudible grumble sounded in the back of his throat. "Hey, buddy, you done here? I'm paying you only to look at the lighting." The electrician blinked, surprised that his "subtle" staring had been noticed.

"Whatever," he replied, slowly climbing off of the ladder to fold it up. "I was going to look at the transformer box anyway." With a roll of his eyes and a glance at Cat, the man left. Axel had almost zoned out completely, but the mention of yesterday caused him to flinch subtly and turn quickly as if shocked.

"W-what?" he asked at first, until he'd realized what she asked. "Oh, him?" His brow furrowed, his jaw clenched. How was he to explain this to her without compromising himself and his identity? Instead, he chose silence...for now.

"I mean, I just wanted to know in case we aren't supposed to let him in the diner or something. Black list. I'll put the poliziotti on speed dial if I have to..." He gave a brief smile and laugh. Her plan had worked and he couldn't help but tell her who the man was.

"Nah, he's...well, he's my brother, actually," he admitted, slowly rubbing at the back of his neck in a worried fashion. "He hasn't been here for, well, years...he skipped town and we thought he left for good. Left our family high and dry." His jaw clenched again as he averted his gaze from hers, trying not to show the way his eyes turned slightly animalistic or how his canines grew briefly and then reverted to their usual size. He couldn't risk her finding out about his werewolfism. What kind of Alpha let a human know about his pack? In the meantime, though, he couldn't help but notice the way she peered up at him in an irresistible manner that might have caused him to kiss her or...more...had he not had some self control still. Leanna never looked at him like that, and they'd known each other for ages. On that note, would Leanna leave him? If she did, what then? Would she go to Albrecht? Oh God, so many questions, so few answers.

When her expression hardened, he was both surprised and taken aback. Had he done something, said something to make her suddenly upset or...whatever? At first, he opened his mouth to speak. But, the sound of the door opening caused him to stop suddenly with his mouth opened in a comedic-looking manner as he glanced at Sam.

"Well shit," said the Beta, causing Axel the raise an eyebrow as he got a hold of himself and turned back toward the man.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, trying not to sound gruff. Of course, he knew what

"I figured I'd come help clean up the diner..." Axel gave a slow nod in response, already sensing the tension that was forming in the room. He wondered what Sam had been thinking when he walked in, for he certainly looked as if he'd been distracted by something. For a while, silence ensued as Axel picked up his broom and swept again. After a while though, he stopped suddenly and turned to face Sam, lips pursed subtly. "So, what's up? You're more quiet than usual..." Other than that, he was extremely silent, not knowing what else to say in Cat's presence.

Jeremy's presence next to her was reassuring as she stood there watching Benny, wondering exactly what kind of person this cook actually was. She was over the death of Tommy. She was more shaken by the fact that she had almost died, and Jeremy almost paid the same price. She hadn't come so close to death since the night her previous boyfriend's killer had attacked her. The werewolf. That time she had been able to overcome the supernatural creature before her. This time, she had frozen. She was angry with herself, for in her weakness Jeremy was almost sacrificed. She wasn't sure what had caused her to hesitate. Perhaps the fact that someone she had known turned into a monster before her eyes. It had always been a stranger, someone she wasn't connected to. She vowed silently that she would never make that mistake again. Regardless of the face, she would strike without hesitation.

ImageA voice brought her out of her own mind, and she looked up at Benny as he spoke in his southern drawl. "I-" he paused, looking down at his hands, which were covered in Tommy's blood. After a moment, he continued. "My girlfriend...she was murdered by...by vampires." So he had been in the same situation as Ariana. A supernatural creature had coome into his life and ripped away someone he had truly loved. She could relate more than she cared to admit. Of course, that had been many years ago, and she had since accepted his passing. She had never let go of her desire to rid the earth of any non-human being. She felt it almost constantly, always burning in her core. A flame of hatred that could never be snuffed out. "I had to hunt them down, to avenge her and ever since...I've been hunting their kind." Their stories were similar enough. Still, she stared at him through narrowed eyes. For some reason, she still found him extremely different from her, and she couldn't put her finger on it. Of course, after Tommy turned out to be a vampire, she was going to be more wary of everyone. No more rookie mistakes.

"You can't be serious?!" Jeremy suddenly cried out, and she turned to him in surprise. In her curiosity about Benny, and worrying about her own skin, she had forgotten that Jeremy had no clue about the supernatural. His brain was most likely having a hard time comprehending what was going on. She felt a pang of sympathy for him, remembering how crazy she had felt when the werewolf transformed before her eyes. "It's true, Jer..." she said softly, squeezing his arm gently for reassurance. "Vampires aren't real-those are just stupid old stories...they-" she couldn't look in his eyes anymore as he spoke. The hurt and shock were plain in his voice. "Sam..." he said softly, and Ariana arched a brow in confusion. Not that her and Jeremy had had many chanced to talk, but he had never mentioned a Sam. And by the tone of his voice, she was someone extremely important.

Before she could speak, Benny asked the question that was running through her mind. Who is this Sam? "My sister. She was my sister." Was. He had said was. She averted her eyes, sadness coursing through her veins. He had lost someone special too. It dawned on her that this just couldn't be a coincidence. Here were three people who had just met, and they all had a similar event in their past that linked them together. Somehow, it was meant to be. And Jeremy, her Jeremy, they had something big in common. Somehow, hopefully, it would help him understand her situation. It could bring them closer together. Hell, he could become a Hunter just like her. However, his next words took that fantasy and threw it out of a window.

"How is it you know about Vampires? That one was trying to-to" Her crystalline eyes met his, and the usual softness had a bit of hardness mixed in. "Kill me." she said simply, not afraid to say the words Jeremy couldn't find. Or rip her face off, tear her throat out, drain her dry. Any of the phrases would have applied to the situation. She had never really been afraid of death until tonight. She had no idea what had changed about her, but something was different. She could feel it inside.

Jeremy's words didn't stop there however. He kept plowing forward. "That he attacked you? Do others know about this? Do they cover it up?" She sighed, not exactly knowing what to say. How do you explain something like the Hunters easily? It was impossible. And honestly, she preferred not to talk about her personal life in front of this stranger. She hated talking about herself period. She would for Jeremy, but only for him. He deserved the right to know. She truly wished he would have waited until they got home. And then, his words went from questioning to accusatory. "Did they cover up my sister's murder? Her throat was torn out, blood drained from her body-they had said it was an animal attack." Why would she know what had happened to his sister? It sounded like a werewolf attack to her, but that would include a whole extra explanation. She was tired of his tone, and even though he kept her next to him, she didn't like the tone of his voice.

ImageAriana was fed up with this conversation. While she wanted to interrogate Benny about his knowledge, instead Jeremy was the one interrogating her. She pulled away from him, releasing his grip from her. She instantly became cold, his body heat now missing from her side. Her body sagged, exhaustion seemingly tugging at her limbs. "I need to go home," she said stubbornly, an agitated tone seeping into her words. She took a few steps away from Jeremy, walking past the spot that Tommy had died, and past Benny as well. Without any further words, she stepped out of the alley and onto the sidewalk. She didn't even turn to look back. She couldn't remember which way she needed to go, so she randomly decided and turned the right. Her steps were sluggish and uneven, seemingly barely dragging along. As she went to cross a side street, she stumbled, and almost fell. Thankfully she caught herself and made it to the other side. She realized that she hadn't eaten a bite in hours, and the stress had drained her body of energy. And then there was Jeremy, who was interrogating her like she was an enemy. What did he expect? How could she have possibly told him. 'Oh, by the way, I hunt vampires and werewolves.' He would have that she was absolutely insane. Why couldn't he understand her point of view? She wanted to cry, but she was too angry. "I need a damn strong drink..." she said to herself, looking forward to pulling out her bottles of liquor when getting home. Perhaps getting trashed would stop her from feeling so hurt by his accusatory language.

Sterling, despite her laughing, was still on edge as he looked up at Leighton, balanced precariously upon the seat of her bicycle.

"I know how to walk and yet I still stumble," he countered, grumbling the words lightly. She really should get down from there...what if she were to fall here? Would he go tell the Sheriff who, he assumed, was inside perhaps watching this exchange?

"You're not weird, you're nice...you remind me of Daddy." Sterling's brow furrowed slightly, confused. Was Sheriff Harding really that nice of a father? He, of course, still assumed the man was the girl's father, as no information had risen to tell him otherwise...for now.

"Well, thank you," he replied, a blush rising on his cheeks. "Not often I receive compliments like that." He gave a quick, sort of awkward laugh and looked down to hide this reddening of his cheeks. Soon, though, the color blanched from his cheeks as she continued, beginning to refer to her father in the past tense which he knew even a child wouldn't do unless...

Sterling looked up at her, instantly frowning as he noticed the somberness of her expression. Her bright green eyes were striking, emerald in color and in shine. For a while, he was lost in the thought, but then gave a quick smile as she gave a quick laugh. He would have given a "sorry" or some sort of sympathy had she not suddenly grown cheerful. Her sadness reminded him of his own daughter's sadness in her last days when she knew she was dying, when he was helpless. The last thing he wanted to do was upset her again and relive that horrible, gut-wrenching feeling.

She continued on like nothing had happened and, just as she said her father hadn't liked her up on top of high objects, she toppled forward into his arms. Instinctively, Sterling had opened his arms to catch her and the books toppled down on to the moist ground. Though they had just been bought, it seemed as if he could not have cared less. His knees bent slightly to take on her weight, due to his surprise.

Gingerly, the vampire set Leighton down on the grass, gazing down at her with sadness in his eyes. "You know, you remind me of my daughter..." he said softly after a while, deciding he might as well mention it. "She's...well, she died." He gave a frown, fighting back a wave of sadness that had washed over him almost completely.

He was not sure what caused him to, but he glanced briefly toward the window, which revealed a young woman who was frantically on the phone. His brow furrowed deeply and he let his arms go lax so that Leighton slid out of them and on to the ground below. The woman on the phone was watching him closely with wide eyes. What on Earth...? Was she calling the cops? It must have been at least a little odd to see a man such as him out on your yard. Deciding this was his cue, he suddenly dove down to pick up his books and brush them off.

"I should be going..." he murmured, holding his books close once he'd gathered them up. But, on that note, he really didn't want to leave her either. For the first time in ages, he felt as if he had his daughter back...and he certainly could not lose that feeling again, no matter what. But, how would he go about doing that...? "You...uh...you could tag along if you'd like." He knew his offer would most likely be in vain but, hell, it was worth a shot.

"I answer for her because she is mine." Albrecht crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes narrowing sharply as his upper lip quivered with growls he forced back almost unsuccessfully.

"Look, buddy," he snarled, moving slightly closer. "I understand what the hell you are, but there's no fucking need to get this bitchy about me being kind to your girlfriend." This calm mood only lasted a moment until the male wolf continued speaking.
Image
"Senior citizen?" Al repeated, his upper lip lifting as his nose wrinkled in a snarl. "You're crazy, Skippy. I offered to drive her home because obviously you weren't here to pick her up when her shift ended. Whose fault is that? Not mine." In the mean time, he found himself inadvertently sizing up to Derek, muscles flexing to make himself more intimidating. Not much was keeping him from snapping. As the other wolf stepped forward, Albrecht too moved a step closer, matching his advances.

A few bystanders had slowed their pace to watch from the opposite side of the street while those on their side hurried by. The height difference bugged Albrecht, causing him to try and puff himself up further, even standing slightly on the balls of his feet to do so.

"First and only warning Champ. Back off."

Al scoffed and rolled his eyes. For a seconds, he grinned and it was easy to see that his incisors had also sharpened in a animalistic manner while his eyes were also slowly becoming more and more like Derek's. "I don't need your warnings, kiddo...make me back off. I'm doing nothing illegal or wrong, am I? Since when was kindness a crime?" He scoffed again at Derek, the adrenaline rushing through him just as his testosterone levels seemed to soar through the roof. Then he decided to look toward Sara again. "Well, do you want me to leave you with him...?" He hoped she'd say no...but, then again, she hardly knew him herself.

Sara swallowed hard, watching the confrontation in front of her unfold. She knew the second Derek approached, the shit would hit the fan, but she didn't realize he'd get this bad about it. Her head turned between the two men as she watched them argue, her mouth opening one in a while like a fish out of water to interject, only to be cut off by one of the men.

She took a small step back, taking her place behind Derek on his right, her head down as the men argued, "Derek... he.. he was just helping me." she said, her voice quiet, almost afraid. Of course, she knew he wouldn't hurt her, but regardless, he was still the slightest bit intimidating when he was like this. Though somewhere in the back of her mind, she couldn't shake the slight, trace feeling of arousal. A man of Derek's stature, fighting another alpha for dominance over her? If it wasn't for the possible danger, she might have given reign to the inkling of the feeling.

"Well, do you want me to leave you with him...?" Sara blinked, being brought from her senses, a slight blush on her face from her thoughts as she faced the man, before looking to Derek, "He... he was only helping me Derek.." she tried to reason, though she knew he wouldn't listen, "I... I'm okay." she said, her voice, quiet, faint sounding, much more submissive that the intimidating man in front of her. She gave a small smile, though there was evident slight fear behind it, though what Al wouldn't know is that the fear was for him, not her.

Image"I need to go home." Was all she had said; the only reply she could form to all of Jeremy's distraught questioning. Now granted, the kid had bombarded her with quite a few queries, overwhelmingly so even, but to not reply at all? When he was at that level of hysteria; on the precipice of discovering the true shady inner workings of the entire world around him? It was unfathomable to Benny. He shifted on the balls of his heels, ready to dig in and bolt at a moments notice. This was really no concern of his and if the lovely couple were having some bipolar sort of tiff and bought his story hook line and sinker for no other reason than they had their own problems to attend to, then that was fine by him...but who was he fooling? Even with his life in the balance, he was a bleeding heart through and through, and to see anyone hurt-that didn't deserve it, that was-left the still pit in his chest dubbed a heart aching.

The boy ran a hand frantically through his dark hair, leaving it standing on end at all sorts of disheveled and odd angles. His brown eyes trailed after her, mouth hanging slack, breath hitching as if he were on the brink of panic attack. Benny sighed heavily and cleared his throat, drawing Jer's attention back to him. "Look...it ain't no concern of mine...you got a truck ton of things you need to be sorting out, this is a lot to suddenly come to terms with, but..." He paused, pulling his sailors cap off of his head to run his hand over his salt and pepper short cut before fitting it back on snuggly. "She almost died tonight, that's the truth of it. She don't know me and she don't know how to go about sharing all of this with you with her brain still a reelin' from that. My advice?" He placed two of his calloused, broad hands on Jeremy's muscular shoulders. "Be there for her and she will be there fer you."

Jeremy locked eyes with him, chocolate meeting ice, and nodded resolutely. "Thank you, for this and for saving us. We owe you our lives." Benny shrugged, releasing Jeremy from his grip to thump him lightly on the back. "Don't mention it...seriously kid, don't. People will think you've up and gone nuts if you do." He laughed heartily, stomach rumbling with the jolly sound. "I gotta go." Jeremy replied with haste, turning to tear after the huntress. "I know." Benny responded, eyes crinkling at the edges fondly as he watched Jeremy race away. "Ahhh shit. I'm so screwed." He told no one in particular.

ImageJeremy didn't think about what he would do or say, or how he might make her understand. He knew only he had to see her and be with her, had to make it right. He couldn't truly consider what any of this meant, or the repercussions behind what he had just been exposed to, though the repercussions would be immense.

He could hear his heart thud in his chest-hammering against his rib cage and his feet pound against the pavement as he ran, the sounds of his own body making his head spin. "Ariana?" He called out tentatively and breathlessly, feeling more than a bit lost. He wouldn't forgive himself if he couldn't find her. Thankfully though, it was then, suddenly all the little sounds he was making became a hum because his eyes had found what he was tirelessly searching for.

In the pale violet light of the moon she stalked, her thick black hair gathered behind her ears so that the waves wouldn't spill messily around her face. There was the faintest bit of rouge on her cheeks from the chill in the air, and her eyes looked up at him from flesh that was almost bruised, but the sight of her was radiant to Jeremy. He trotted up to his date and pulled her into an embrace, sighing with relief. "Ariana...I'm sorry. I'm so so very sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you...this is just...a lot." He pulled back, finally taking in her unreadable expression. "I am still worked up after watching you almost die like that." He swallowed, adams apple bobbing nervously. "I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't have protected you." Well that sounds just perfect, Jeremy sarcastically thought. First date and you are already a level five clinger, nevermind what they say about couples that go through life and death situations being closer. UGH! We aren't even a couple! He tried to focus his thoughts. Vampires are real, my date almost died. Focus. Jeremy...on the important things!

Image"No!" She cried out, suddenly stricken with longing. "I don't want you to go...I want you to teach me some words from your books." She peered passed her new found friend to the house, catching her lower lip between her baby teeth before dragging her verdant eyes back to his.

She weighed nothing, but Sterling would feel the tenacity of her grip as she took his hand in her own. Little Leighton appeared delicate as a diamond can look delicate when preyed upon by the light, but like a diamond, she was anything but.

"I'd like to tag along...if that's okay?" Her underdeveloped mind reasoned that because he was an adult, it would be more than allowed for her to accompany him; after all had Sebby not left her with Anne? Same difference right? The breeze gusted and lifted her hair off the back of her neck, her golden hair tangling around her face, and her eyes wide and filled with myriad fragments of color and mirth. She was afraid of nothing.

"Let's go."

..Make me back off... Were the only words Derek had heard, the rest of the conversation fading out into the static of white noise that sounded when he 'saw red.' The lone Alpha roughly shoved Albrecht backward, practically punching the other wolf with the palms of his hands, a ferocious growl ripping it's way from his throat. He was passed the taunting phase, passed the sizing up stage; he was in fight mode now.

Derek rolled his shoulders and drew himself to full height-seeming almost not human at all as he did. He had become a pure predator, as only a beast can be a predator, and yet he was a man facing another man. Onlookers gawked at the pair of them, unsure of what was happening and entranced at the same time. In the back of his mind, Derek knew species preservation should have been his top priority; keeping werewolves a secret, but that was just it. He wasn't thinking.

ImageDerek stood looking down at Al-challenging him, his blood reddening his neck due to the excessive angry beating of his heat, heating him and deepening his color. His eyes were a flash of black and ice, almost exactly the color the sky had been that morning.

"Come on, let us see who's more dominant shall we?!" He roared, voice unrecognizable to anyone who had not been raise around wolves enough to pick up the human speech in a growl.

Later he might look back and see just how ridiculous he had been. He might realize this wolf was just trying to do another, female, wolf a favor; but right here in the now? Derek saw another alpha male challenging him for not only his status but his mate. If only Axel had taken the time to talk with him in the diner the other day, he mightn't have been so on edge around other wolves then...

Now more than ever, Caroline was beginning to curse herself for not listening to Axel’s warning…no, actually she wasn’t as she felt she was doing the right thing, however she did regret not telling Sam and letting him come with her, yet then again he probably would have just made the situation worse, her beta boyfriend did not take too kindly too people in the pack being threatened and had he been here, his temper over the Sheriffs hurtful words would have probably boiled over. Perhaps an anonymous tip would have sufficed. “That’s rich, Miss King…Do you expect me to pity you? To accept your sob story and renounce my ways?"” Sebastian spoke in sarcastic tones as he rose to his feet in an evident attempt to stamp his authority. He wanted her to cower in her seat, to see the fear in her eyes, but Caro was stronger than that, Sebastian may have been a hunter but she held the true authority, or so she believed. Narrowing her eyes, Caroline glanced up at him with steel hues, her pretty face locked in stern expression as she idly shook her head. “No, I don’t expect that. I’ve come to realise, over the years that hunters tend to be the most stubborn of species.”

"If you had been raised to believe that your kind was evil, were killers, wouldn't you find it hard to renounce those ideas?...Read the old fables, Miss King...not one shows your kind in a positive light. And why should they? Vampires and werewolves have been preying on humans for ages-- I'm sure you're familiar with the incident in 2010? What do you think caused those people to disappear?" Had she let them, Sebastian’s words could have easily sent her into spiralling depression, he was right of course. Her kind had been hated and hunted across the ages, she wasn’t as naïve as to think all of her species were as peaceful as the Wolff pack, but she refused to believe that they were naturally born killers, for not once had she ever felt the lust neither to kill nor to terrorise. “No, they are not. But every species has good and evil, are you going to sit there and tell me that all humans are good? No. Because you can’t, you are being hypocritical sir, narrow minded, there are people…humans roaming streets who are murderers, rapists, paedophiles.” She pauses for a second, taking the time to look over him, “aren’t they the real monsters? Now, I’m not going to sit here and say we are perfect, just victims in this game because like humans, there are some who do cause violence, do kill and I whole heartily agree that they should be promised. Just remember this, not all which are different are evil.”

Silence suddenly filled the office and Caroline was thankful, she was certain that had been forced to defend herself further he may have sensed the quake in her voice and that would not have done her any favours, perhaps only sealed her fate. "Now, your information would be greatly appreciated in this case… Could you give me a name to record...or, a physical description if you must?" The sudden change in Sebastian’s tone was surprising to say the least, his professionalism and decorum coming back into play. She nodded absentmindedly, preparing to tell him what she knew, when his phone rang. Caroline nodded as he muttered ‘one moment’ towards her, before answering the phone and turning away from her.

Caroline did what could not to eavesdrop, her eyes darted around the small office, to look at the various sheets of paper and maps around the room. It was then she remembered the camera she had in her bar, the one that would have gotten the perfect shot of the vampire from its position. Suddenly she reached across his desk grabbing a sheet of paper and pen before quickly scrawling a message across the face of the sheet’.

Camera’s in bar. Meet me there in an hour.

Rising from her seat, she hastily left the office and the station almost running towards her jeep. With any look, the tapes had not been wiped yet and that had caused her to drive slightly faster than she should have done to get back to her bar. Pulling up in the small car park beside the establishment, Caroline had barely turned off the engine before she was out of the car and jogging towards the door, she fumbled with the keys before finding the right one and unlocking the latch she made her way inside. Walking across the bar floor, she made her way towards the small office in the back and sat herself down and began to scrawl through the tape, keeping a watchful eye open for the vampire to cross the screen.

"No!" cried the voice behind him. Surprise would have hardly conveyed the thoughts that raced through Sterling's mind. Flabbergasted, perhaps, would have been a better term. Didn't children these days know not to walk off with a strange man? Hell, the girl had just met him and she was entrusting him to not hurt her or harm her. Granted, he had no such intentions, but what if he had?

Sterling shook the thought off as he peered over his shoulder quickly to see Leighton, biting down lightly on her lower lip as her emerald hues locked with his chocolate brown ones. He gave a look of confliction and then turned again to start off toward his home. No...no, he couldn't do this. It was wrong to lead a child away from their home, to pose as a friend when he failed to even make friends in his own age group. He knew that as soon as the sheriff caught wind of this, he'd certainly find himself under at least one, if not more, charge.

His hand was grabbed, however, and held on to with whatever strength the compact little girl could muster. Tenaciously, she clung to his hand and pulled with quite surprising strength for a girl of her age. He could have pulled his hand free, clear out of her grip, but such a thing would have been horrible to do. His parental instincts began to show and he stopped to crouch down in front of the girl, at eye level with her now.

"I'd like to tag along...if that's okay?" Even if it hadn't been okay, Sterling would have agreed.

"Yes," he murmured, a smile spreading across his lips as he nodded his head slowly but surely. "Yes, that would certainly be okay." Should he tell her to ask her guardian? The idea seemed good, but Sterling knew no adult i their right mind would let a man like him run off with a girl this young. So, instead, he decided to ignore the watching figure at the window. Besides, what harm was he doing in all honestly?

Slowly, he rose from his crouch and beckoned for the child to follow him as he pushed his one hand into the depths of his pockets and gathered his books with the other. Their walk was quite silent, for Sterling wasn't sure how to begin a conversation with the child. Finally, though, as they stepped on to the porch of his large home, Sterling decided to start one.

"So, do you have a favorite book?" he decided upon first. In his eyes, it was a neutral question that wouldn't seem weird or nosy. They entered and Sterling closed the door behind but left it unlocked, feeling he might frighten the child further...though, she didn't seem scared in the first place. "You...uh...you could take your jacket off if you want." He pointed quickly at an ancient looking coat rack he'd taken after his parents' death. In fact, most of the furniture was dated in the house. Though he thought modern decor was interesting, it just felt weird when he tried it once in an old place of his. The old fashioned decorations made him feel more at home and comfortable. There was an odd, extreme cleanliness about the place too. Despite his reclusive ways, Sterling hadn't once let the house fall into shambles. A speck of dust would soon meet its end in this home, it seemed. "Oh, and your shoes can go there too..."

Albrecht kept eye contact with Sara, his brow creasing in concern as he watched her step beside Derek. "I...I'm okay," she said in a voice so meek that Al couldn't help but cock an eyebrow. Was she really okay, or was she just saying it out of fear for herself? Though neither was true, he couldn't help but feel concern for her. It didn't seem right to just leave her here with him. As she offered the weak, fearful smile, Al tried to match it in vain. With his gaze, he tried as hard as possible to ask her if she really was alright. He'd seen some messed up things on his odyssey and he certainly didn't want to be responsible for something happening to her.

"Alright...if you insist," he said reluctantly, putting on half of a smile as he began to turn around. Suddenly, though, hands pressed up against his chest and shoved him back. Al stumbled, struggling for something to grab and use to keep from falling backwards. At first, he was confused. Had the girl pushed him? But, the force of the shove didn't make sense. As he looked back at the two, he locked eyes with the male.

The kid moved closer to Albrecht who had decided to stand his ground in a defiant manner. For years, he'd been kicked out of countless packs and now he had even been kicked out of his own, home pack. No, he refused to back down again. He refused to let some amateur push him around. But, there were people staring with wide eyes, confusion evidently written across their countenances. It would be a horrible decision, fighting out here, but what choice did he have now?
Image

"Come on, let us see who's more dominant, shall we?!" snarled the younger man, making himself out to be larger than he was really. Though Albrecht was slightly smaller than the man before him, he still puffed himself up and glared back at Derek, eyes narrowed nearly to slits.

"You're an idiot," snapped Al, raising himself slightly so he was almost at eye level with Derek. "Fighting like this, in the middle of town?" His jaw clenched tightly, muscles in his jaw flexing. With much effort, he opened his mouth again slowly. "But, I'm not prepared to have some pup show me up in my town." Without warning, Albrecht raised his fist and threw a punch at Derek, followed swiftly by a knee aimed at the man's stomach. By then, Al's temper was near to boiling over and he might have lost it right then in the middle of the street had he not some decency or had he not realized that changing in front of so many people could blow the cover kept up by werewolves for ages. If one of them lost control now, there would be no telling what would ensue.

ImageGabby's emotions were stifled by Nik placing his hands on her shoulder, cutting off her excitement instantly. Although, when she looked up into his face, there was only a smile on his face. "Calm down my girl, we aren't to find you just any poor soul. We shall find someone worth while; someone interesting so that your first experience shall be your most favored." A slow, cat-like smile filled her face. As if a mouse had run before her, and she planned on playing with it before it was killed. He removed his hands from her shoulder, and her excitement started to blossom once more. "How would you like to go for a joy ride? I believe a little compulsion and the police force in Bellingstone will be all to happy to oblige you with a squad car...we can turn on the sirens and tear through this miserable one horse town. Sound fun to you?" Her sly smile turned to one of pure joy. "Yes!" she said instantly, practically wanting to jump up and down.

Now this was the side of Nikolai she wanted to be around. This was the type of maker she had dreamed of her entire vampire life. He waggled his eyebrows at her, and she laughed, imagining her maker as a young boy, propositioning her to do something truly bad. They took off after that, sprinting through the forest at their true vampire speed. Nik was ahead of her, but not by much. "You're going to have to run faster than that to keep up with me my dear! I may be old but I'm quick!" Nik called out, his voice only catching her ears for a second as she then flew by the sound. She put on an extra burst of speed, attempting to catch him, almost practically on his heels. "I'm going to catch you!" she yelled at him, laughing along as they raced faster and faster through the woods, causing the branches to rustle behind them. Her feet got lighter and lighter on the ground, until they barely touched the ground at all. No human would have known the pair was even there, except for the wind that followed behind them.

Eventually, they reached the back of the police station, and the pair came to a halt. Gabby was disappointed that Nik had beaten her, even though he was a thousand years older than her measly forty four years. "Perhaps next time darling." he said nonchalantly, pausing at the back door. "Definitely next time..." she whispered to herself, determined to come out on top. "Seems I win for now... Comes with seniority I'm afraid, now, come come!" He had his hand on the small of her back, and guided her forward, the other hand reaching up to smooth out her red locks. She probably had extremely bad wind-blown hair, but at this point she didn't even care. She was too excited for what was to come. Yet her maker untangled the knots, his fingers gently combing through her hair as they stopped close to the door. "I want you to listen, use your supernatural hearing to-" She leaned forward as he commanded, trying to focus on listening through the walls, faintly hearing a conversation taking place. It was a man and a woman. Yet, her concentration was broken as soon as his words broke off.

She looked over at him, or at least as well as she could with his hand still in her hair. "Hold on.... I thought I heard...." he whispered softly. "What? What is it?" she asked, worried that something was truly wrong. He released her hair, and his beautiful face transformed into a look of pure fury. It caused her to pause, afraid for no reason in particular. He stepped in front of her, gaze fixated on the building, as if he could actually physically see through the walls. "Behold, we have a wolf on our hands...one that seeks to bring about my downfall by aligning herself with the hunters. Can't you just scent her stench?" Gabby could smell that there was a wolf near, but she couldn't make out any specifics. It made her wonder if she had been neglecting her powers. She should be perfecting everything, practicing every single day. She felt weak in that moment, as if she had only been a vampire one single day. A baby, practically.

"I'm afraid she has just made a most egregious error, a terrible lapse in judgment there...I believe...we have found ourselves a new task." A frown appeared on Gabby's face, her excitement shattered. She couldn't hear the conversation taking place inside the building, but she hardly doubted it was life and death situation. One that couldn't wait until after he taught her compulsion. Yet, she had a feeling nothing she could say would make him change his mind. In Nik's point of view, he was the one that ruled this relationship. What he said went.

Image "You don't mind a brief intermission on our compulsion plans do you, little one? This is a matter of the utmost import that if I do not attend to now, it might cause more serious problems later...as soon as I'm done, we can continue on with stealing cop cars and trifling with impotent officers." She sighed, sad that what was important to her wasn't important to him. "I suppose not..." she said softly, averting her eyes from him completely. She pressed her ear to the door, closing her eyes so she could really focus. If he was ruining her fun, she might as well try to impress him. She heard footsteps, and opened her eyes quickly. "She's leaving," Gabby said simply, tearing away from the door and making her way around the building to see a familiar face.

"Oh God..." she whispered, upon seeing the bartender's face. Caro, she thought her name was. The woman drove away hastily, obviously on a mission. Gabby could guess where. What exactly was Nik going to do to her?

Arcs are bundles of posts from any location, allowing you to easily capture sub-plots which might be spread out across multiple locations.

Add Quest » Quests

You can create Quests with various rewards, encouraging your players to engage with specific plot lines.

Add Setting » 1 Settings for your players to play in

Settings are the backdrop for the characters in your universe, giving meaning and context to their existence. By creating a number of well-written locations, you can organize your universe into areas and regions.

Navigation

While not required, locations can be organized onto a map. More information soon!

Add Group » 0 Factions to align with

There are no groups in this roleplay!

Collectibles

By creating Collectibles, you can reward your players with unique items that accentuate their character sheets.

Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.

Mobs

Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!

Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!

Current Mobs

No mobs have been created yet.

Spawns

Locations where Mobs and Items might appear.

Events

You can schedule events for your players to create notifications and schedule times for everyone to plan around.

Permissions

Add and remove other people from your Universe.

Orphanage

By marking a character as abandoned, you can offer them to your players as pre-made character sheets.
