Carnes High

Shad is hit by a pure force and releases his fangs from Jaimie's neck, he goes spinning backwards into a wall, his wings snap like twigs under the force. He suffers in silence, sliding down to the ground. Some blood drips out of his mouth, his wings are crookedly snapping back into place. The pain was unimaginable, rarely would he get in a fight where his wings broke and the bones had shattered, he couldn't even fold them. He slowly stands up pissed off, "What happened to killing the hunter?" he manages to cough out glaring at the others.

Jaime slumped to the ground tired, the pain was gone and the vampire had released him with a gust of wind. His neck was still bleeding and he couldn't move his body. He closes his eyes so tired, he wanted to drift off to sleep so badly, but something told him if he did he would never wake up.

Lin glanced to the honey haired witch expectantly.. it wasnt like she could heal the boy, it was up to the human lover to do that.
After glancing at the other witch Lin looked to shad darkly she knew that vampire was dodgy.

"Its not a hunter- its the genuine human student" She muttered holding back a comment that suggested he had already known that and attempted to drain him anyway. She felt the hand she had used to overpower Shad, it felt cold and she was beginning to experience pins and needles. That was her private punishment for using raw power without a spell to harness it. Observing Shad and his broken wings she tried to pity him for her attack but no remorse found its way into her heart.
She looked to delios with her yellow eyes hoping the large, robust demon would take over for her so she could go back to being selfish and only caring about herself instead of trying to make herself feel things for others.

"That's what Aiden thought about that Alex guy and look at him now, how do you know this human isn't the same?" Shad growls at Lin. He noticed blood was wastefully falling to the floor, Jaimie would die unless someone helped him soon, Shad didn't want to help him. What proof did anyone have that this was a normal student human? Shad closes the gap between him and the others his wings jaggedly dragging across the ground healing completely wrong, it wasn't going to be fun rebreaking his wings until the bone structure was right.

Lin tensed up and felt her inner self rising once again for conflict...so much raw energy was going to do her some serious damage and the last thing she wanted was little miss daisy helping her with some ridiculous healing charm.
"Want me to rebreak those wings for you or would you prefer a clean rip " She rattled like a snake "It's what'll be happening if you touch the human again. Its called senses- get some- even if he was a hunter the only thing he's capable of doing now by himself is dying "
She didnt want to get into a tussle with shad.. she was stronger than him when it came to raw strength but her strength went hand in hand with her weakness. Souls became tired like the physical form. She hoped Delios had her back and Aiden as she noticed him nearby

Arabella lifted an eyebrow at Lin, "Why do you care if the human dies or not?" Her tone was sarcastic as she got on her knees next to the boy. She touched the boy gently at the base of his neck, clear of the blood. "I know you can hear me," she said. Her voice was musical as she talked to the seemingly unconcious human. "And this might hurt. You've lost a lot of blood, but I think I can help." She whispered some words and a glow began to emenate from beneath her hands. She watched as the wound closed and the boy's breath came easier. She glanced at Shad. "Let Lin rebreak it, I can help heal it afterwards if you want." She remained seated next to the human to keep her strenght up.

"I can take care of my own healing." Shad growls sitting on the floor bringing his wings to his front and painfully snaps and resets his bones starting at the tips of his wings and working his way to the back. He didn't need some stupid witches help, to him they were humans with bad tasting blood and nothing more. He didn't understand why they were saving the human if they still weren't sure if he was a hunter or not.

Jaimie couldn't see clearly but he saw a pretty blond girl with a faint glow, her voice was pretty too but his mind was so clouded he couldn't make out the words. her hands touched his bleeding neck and he felt a slight warmth that turned into a burn but as soon as it wore off his neck felt cool and he was begining to feel more awake. He smiles slightly leaning on the nice girl, still dizzy he blinks his eyes a few times "thanks," is all he manages to say in his weakness.

Glaring at Shad, her attention was quickly turned back to the human in front of her. "Shad. If he was a hunter, he wouldn't have freaked out as soon as you chased him. He also would have staked you when you attacked him." Arabella used the energy that she was saving for Shad and transferred it to heal the boy. "No problem, you're going to be okay." She smiled at him. "So what's your name?" She was trying to keep the boy's mind off of the blood that was all over his clothes. She kept her hands on his neck, even if it did disgust her.

"Jaimie." Jaimie mutters weakly trying to sit up on his own realizing the girls hands were still on his neck. They all kept talking about hunters, making him think of a person with a shotgun off in the woods shooting animals. But why would they be afraid of a hunter? They weren't animals. He sighs able to sit up now and glances around, it hurt to move his neck a bit. There was an angry looking winged person that appeared to be breaking his wings over and over again and a darker girl was standing over him glaring.

Lin relaxed. Shad was at bay. The other witch was sorting the human out. Bending over she looked closely at the human boy looking drousy and ill.
"Such a fragile race- no wonder the covens pity you" She murmured softly to herself her voice like the distant cry of an angel whilst reaching out to touch his forehead to retract her hand as black smoke seethered around her hand when it went close to the honey witches glow. How contradicting they were she thought septically.

Deilos looks at the events happening before him even though he got shoved away, he leaned against a nearby wall and continued to watch, "Shad the girls got better of you" he mocked, looking around he then continued to ask "Jamie was it? where are your... books? or bag?" Deilos then walked over to Jamie and squatted down in front of him looking at his wound then back at the boy "Shall we get you to principle? for being late for nearly an hour and a half? for the first day of school" standing up once again but this time turning towards shad, looking over to him, in a slightly bored face as his demonic arm started to glow a dim blue around where his claws are. "Are you still going to drain him?" his left hand brining up close to where his necklace is.

Arabella smiled at the boy. "Hi Jamie, I'm Arabella." When Lin reached near her, she stiffene. She was nervous of what the darker witch would do. When the black smoke fizzed between them, her violet eyes widened. "I may be new to this, but I don't think that's supposed to happen. Unless you're making it do that." She knew for a fact that she, Arabella, could not do that. She glanced at Delios and realized he was still questioning Jamie. "I'm not sure he can answer you. He has absolutely no energy. I barely have enough to keep him concious."

"One wing down one more to go." Shad mutters to himself begining breaking the other wing, it took all his will to not faint after all the pain of repeatedly breaking his bones. He looks angry at Delios, "Though I don't feel threatened much by you, and your silly weapon, I won't drain him if that makes you feel better." the truth was his wings were causing him so much pain he couldn't fight well, the last thing he needed was a fight against Delios who would probably be backed up by the others.

"I'm on time though." Jaimie says limply holding up his watch. He was still in a fog and barely able to do anything but he heard Delios and he was so sure he was on time, his watch said so.

Desmond was not asleep by most standards, nor was he unconscious. Being from across the gate, every time his soul slipped from being solidly planted in the current world he travels back o the other side in an ephemeral form, much like a ghost. This time he was in a strange place, a tower. A flash of brilliant green light, the remains of a battle, the royal palace, and finally the throne room; His father was placing a ring back on a tablet, a man in a military uniform was bowing, and the whole area went dark. He was back, for a moment at least, on the other side. He was trying to rest, knowing he had too to recover, and yet he couldn’t rest. Something was going on, something that was definitely a problem. His mind raced as he ran through the day’s events, trying to understand what it was that was nagging him so. He had to resolve whatever it was or he would be stuck in a half resting state and his recovery would take twice as long.

It took a few moments of reliving the day up to when he had used the ring before it hit him and his eyes shot open. “If the hunter was an imposter, then where’s the real student!?” he asked out loud as he shot up in his chair and instantly attracted the attention of a nearby Kalen.

“What’s wrong?”

“Kalen, I need you to get me to the front gate, now.” He said with a wheezing cough

She didn’t bother asking why; years had taught her that if he asked something of her it was important. She thought what would be the best way to help him get there swiftly, but the answer came as the bracelet on her wrist shifted and fell slightly.

Moments later she was stepping down the outside of the school heading for the group at the gate. Her hand on her Bracelet…

Little did any of them know that little more than 200 feet away in a tree a human clutching a crossbow with a scope was observing every move the creatures made, waiting for the other two teams to get into position. “Who to take first?” he asked with a smile as he thought of the pain he would bring to the inhuman monsters below…

Deilos took a deep long breath and sighing it out, bringing his left hand on his necklace, "release" he spoke in demonic immediately a large scythe appears in his left hand, it's length ranging at around 6 foot long, and it's blade curved and wide covering over his chest as it started to glow a dim blue as well. "Shad, if your nose is broken, I would like it very much for you to repair it right now and you girls as well, be on guard" Deilos took a quick glance around them and could not locate Aiden by sight, but he is nearby as his scent is flowing around. Sniffing the air the few more times, Deilos nodded and confirmed to himself, "their still around, and their near" he whispered

"I can smell perfectly fine." Shad growls, "There's nothing around here." Just as he says this the hunter makes his decision and a wooden arrow rockets out of a nearby tree just barely missing Shads heart. With a thudding noise it pierces his chest and he falls to the ground partially paralyzed unable to pull out the wood himself. He manages to let out an angry growl to let the others know he was still alive but he couldn’t move.

Deilos did nothing as the wooden arrow whizzes past him and hitting Shad, after Shad fell, Deilos heard an angry growl, he then turned and walked over to shad "oh your still alive, now that's something" he remarked sarcastically as he pulled the wooden arrow out of Shad's chest with his right arm, "I'm pretty sure your nose needs to be repaired" he mocked Shad again for not detecting the hunters nearby. Even though Vampire's reaction and sense of smell should have been better then a demons'. Turning around suddenly he strike down a few more incoming wooden arrows. Sniffing the air some more, Deilos looked out the doorway with his scythe in front of him. "the human smell... is becoming more... tense, we'll need a vampire without a broken nose or a werewolf to tell us just how many there are"

Shad gasps for air his chest healing quickly, "Shut up, I can smell them now. His blood is distracting me but I can smell three." he dives out of the reach of the arrows. He quickly finishes fixing his other wing and leaps up into the sky, "No human stakes me and gets away with it." he soars up into the sky and dives at the tree. The branches shatter as he lands on top of the hunter with the crossbow ripping his throat open in seconds. He stays drinking from his kill for a few seconds, his shirt was now stained with blood and he was getting a buzz from the kill. "One down two to go" He mutters. Looking madly around like a beast on a hunt.

The hunter smirked to himself as Shad assaulted thedecoy in the tree. It was a young hunter, a boy of 16 years, the old sniper had told him not to fire unless he knew he could kill the monster and this was the boys reward. Themonsters had underestimated the hunters strength, and were outnumbered without knowing it. & in total now with the 8th dead, the old sniper loaded and fired two shots at a small round shield, deflecting them so they headed to the first two targets. The reflection was his personal trick to keep them guessing at to his location.

“First take out the injured…” The sniper said as he fired the weapon at Shad. “Then the Leader…” he fired but failed to take out Deilos, still he couldn’t be discouraged by that. Soon the other six of his team would move in, and to ensure that the monsters fell he had to take one of them down permanently. “And if all else fails…”

He reloaded a silver and glass bolt, with a small glass bulb of holy water that would shatter and splash over the area whether the silver hit or not,and to make this shot he would fire directly. He had observed and listened enough to guess their individual roles, and he had known enough to move after this his third shot, they would know where he was soon. He saw his target, locked on with his eyes, and set the advanced crossbow to its highest setting; this would pierce through stone if it had to, and hopefully would make it through the claws of any monster trying to stop the deadly bolt. Plus they would get a nasty dousing of holy water.

He opened his other eye so he could see perfectly, relaxed his breath and fired, wheezing out a simple statement as he raised himself to move from this hide to another, “If all else fails, take down the medic…”

The bolt was aimed for Arabella, and it only had to hit near her to splatter the group with the holy water.

Meanwhile, the other six hunters drew their respective weapons and dove, having been hiding atop the walls around the gate in the shadows of the statues. Kalen stopped herself from summoning Desmond, this event would be bad, and he was not strong enough to fight these hunters yet. She’d have to help in his stead, so rather than touching his summoning circle, she touched the trident symbol and drew her staff, while looking up in time to see the other hunters descend…

Lin looked around wildly for the attackers- Shad had one but that meant nothing. She looked over at the honey haired witch fixated on healing the human.. She was a liability..they both were just as she'd predicted. Lin felt smoke wisp about her feet as she felt anxious to move around sporadically to escape being targeted- she didnt like standing like some lamb for the slaughter in the same pathetic spot. Shad was okay he healed instantly and delios' skin was thicker than anything.
The honey haired witch had her healing skills as weak as they were they still had an effect and the human wasnt even a target. Which left her..what did she have the power to do in defence..she assulted things and avioded being injured with flexibility but she could move.. she could see the hunters, couldnt smell them couldnt...wait.
Her head whipped round eyes wide and glaring gold at the distinct click of something snapping ever so slightly into place.

"Damn I'm having a bad day." Shad growls seeing the six hunters appear his estimate was way off. He's hit again by an arrow this time on his arm he can't remove the arrow so his arm lies limp by his side. He noticed the bolt heading toward Arabella but found no reason to stop it, she could die he didn't care. Jumping down from the tree still beastly he proceeds to back up the alchemist girl by ripping through another hunter's throat and growls at the others challanging them to attack back.

Kiera walks out of the school a bored look on her face. She surveys the cunch in front of her and scoffs in disgust, "You all are a bunch of weaklings..." She looks at the human, daring him to shoot her. She held the human's eyes with her eyes, all her hatred showing through. She rejoices of the near death of the human. The shadows slowly creep up the human's body, having a dsifficult time finding enough shadows to connect his whole body, but soon the shadows are congregated around the human attackers neck. She flicks her wrist, her hand going dark for a second and the sickening snap of a human neck being broken can be heard. She stand infront of Lin and says, "We need to train you in more defensive methods of fighting."

(Well, i feel like an ass for overreacting, there is no excuse that is acceptable for messing with someone elses rp. I'll keep playing but you each have every right to curse me out at your leasure. PS, how do i readopt my charas or if i cant im just screwed and its my own fault for over reacting...)

Kalen moved to the side, she wouldn't kill the hunters unless they threatened a weakling, but she could stop that bolt. If the bolt hit anyone else the water inside might do enough damage to kil lthem, her human body, on the other hand, would be completely unaffected. Still, the silver was going to hurt. She didnt have the speed seal active and so all she could so was stepp infront of the shot and take it in the shoulder. Her mind seared with the pain but she couldn't stop now, she had to stand up.

The bolt had driven her back so she fell over Arabella, and the fall forced the bolt deeper into her arm. She felt the water splatter her skin, and to her surprise it burned her slightly, still she had to stand!

And using the trident as a support she did just that, activating the mana seal to increase her will power before she began to pull the bolt from her shoulder, weezing at the pain. A hunter approached her from the side with a knife aimed for her jugullar...

Shad looks to Kalen seeing she had taken the bullet for Arabella, there was a hint of human to her blood which smelled very sweet to him. A hunter had accepted his challange and was approaching quickly wooden stake in hand. Shad flys into the sky avoiding the hunter's primative weapon. He then flips and kicks the hunter's head knocking him to the ground. He sinks his teeth into the hunter's neck, drinks his fill, and rips the hunter's neck to shreads. Another hunter tries to sneak up from behind and Shad makes a swipe at him but misses a stake is forced into his gut. Shad falls to the ground, not dead but momentarily defeated. The hunter that staked him pulled out another stake and was ready for the kill.

Turning around while swinging his scythe near the entrance, his weapon met with the head of a hunter, and continuing downwards, he cuts the hunter vertically downwards into half. Deilos spoke without turning back "Abralle? can the human student move yet?, if so, move deeper into the hall way. there's a few more right outside." as soon as that is side Deilos once again swung his scythe around the corner of the entrance which later was greeted by an deafening sound of metal clashing. "heh aren’t you a bit too strong for a normal demon? demon" a voice came out as another hunter pushes his Scythe away with a sword. "it's been quite a while since i saw a human use that" Deilos remarked as he points to the hunter's sword. The hunter smirked and charged at Deilos, as soon as the hunter brought his sword down, Deilos gripped it with his claw so tightly that the sword instantly broke. For that one moment the hunter got stunned, spelt his death as he was being cut horizontally at his waist.

Lin was secretly relieved to see Kiera appear in front of her stating she needed to be taught on the defensive side of things more.
Lin managed a grin at this as she eyed the hunters appearing with various weapon none of which were pacifically designed for her as yet but still could leave a nasty scar.
"Yes i never was one for defence" She murmured her heart warmed to the shadows that accompanied Kiera. "But i wouldnt stand too close Kiera the soul power- it has a funny way of getting more than your enemy"
