King Constellation paced back and forth in his chambers, "Who does she think she is. Threatening my life!" he cursed. A letter was crumbled up in his hand. A letter from none other than Queen Stars herself. The letter reads:
"My dear, 'Beloved' King Constellation,
I see you still refuse to see my way of things. You should stop being so stubborn and open you eyes. This land needs more discipline! How do you expect anyone to follow you if you let them do what ever they please. Even if it is a vulgar crime! Freedom is one thing. But when your court enters mine, insults our way of life, even goes so far as to demean my ladies in waiting, they don't even get a slap on the wrists! Well, that's just not right. They should be punished. The rule of the land must change. Your court must learn their place. And if you don't do anything, I will. And the first creature to feel my wrath will be you: for allowing yourself to be reckless."
"Insults our way of life she says. HA! They've been prissier than CATS. Always telling me to make more laws when we are fine as we are!" King Constellation raised his fist and threw the letter into a blaring fire nestled into a grand fireplace.
He balled his fist in aggravation, "Queen Stars thinks she can over throw me for a better rule? We are supposed to rule this land TOGETHER!" The king runs a hand through his hair and grits his teeth.
"Fine. Queen Stars. If it's war you want, then war you shall receive.”

Alexis hummed a bit as she moved, her mind wandering to those times. “It may sound all that grand, having to go to so many kingdoms and all, but in all… I was just doing it to survive, too.” Images passed through her mind and she laughed, a secret lingering within. It always made her younger than she seemed. “To think I almost didn’t.” Alexis turned on her heel, as she went through the wooden door, giving Scorpio a small salute.
“Care to come inside, Scorps, or are you off to work your ass off?” She laughed again, voice bright in the room of working soldiers. In turn, she received glares from those who’s concentration was broken. Not only that but by the tone she addressed their Prince. “If you have other duties you have to attend to, please don’t stay at my request. You do you. But I do expect to talk more business tomorrow morning. After breakfast?” She suggested.

He could feel something wet trailing down from his face, just like how he could vividly feel the blood coming out from his body in a steady stream as his sense slowly dull and weariness casting its spell on him. The wetness on his face must be the tears, yeah, he was supposed to cry and lament his fate, right? He was just with his mother a while ago. She was going to cook lunch with such a big smile, because she was able to buy some good meat which was an achievement as their state of living was not the best, but it was enough for the two of them. His father, no idea... But, that changed just a few moments ago. The lunch he was looking forward to it, not the bloodbath that was given to them.
The door to their humble home was kicked with viciousness and there stood that man with a smile that would make the devil cringed. His mother was frozen like an ice and pale like that of a ghost. He didn't need to ask that his mother was terrified to her wit's end and he quickly knew why was that as the first spill of blood penetrated his eyesight. His mother urged him to run as far as he could, but he could not live his mother to fend against that vicious man. That was a mistake, he knew, but she was his only family. Just like that, he saw how his mother was killed in front of him as if she was just some livestock meant to be butchered. His horror and his rage mixed into a tidal of emotions as he was blinded to lash out, so that the pain of death and being left behind could be numbed, but that was not the case.
That man took pride in his handiwork and was even more pleased to see him, rushing to death. He was cut and stabbed multiple times, he could still recall the sensation as that sword plunged into his body. There was also the laughter that ensued as that man declared, that no one shall take his throne. That was only when he was able to gather who this monstrous man is, before he succumbed to the darkness which he believed was death, but he soon rouse to reality with the smell of fire flooding the house. It seemed stabbing and slashing them to death was not enough, burning them to the crisp was also in the agenda.
With all of his small body, he crawled and saw the lifeless body of his mother, her eyes wide opened with tears glistening. He wanted to at least be with her, but that was not the case. A falling debris separated them and he was ushered outside, towards the safety. There, he now laid waiting as the last breath of life from his body seeped away. His question as to why this had happened never answered, but does it matter anymore. He was going to die. That's right die, just like some trash on this road, with no one even knowing what happened to them.
His tears flowed continuously without stop. He really didn't want to die. That's why someone... anyone...

They are in every sense a stranger, even if they know each other's name that does not equate them to anything. "You are naive. That is not terrible thing to have, but you must see the truth, that such a trait can only go so far. One cannot protect everyone." She remained indifferent in expression and in her voice as he said the bandits are here.

Everything she said seemed to phase right through him.Her words made him feel as if he HAD to prove her wrong. He smiled and gripped his fists slightly. It was true, he couldn't save everyone. It was nearly impossible; especially with bandits around so freely. However, just because he knew he couldn't, didn't mean he couldn't try. Even if that meant getting hurt himself. Even if that meant risking his life, he wouldn't mind it. It was in his nature and he couldn't just sit idle knowing that people were in danger. He snickered slightly while hearing her.
"Ye. You may be right."
He then began to take a few steps forward and fold his arms.
"Sure I may be a idiot. And sure I could probably get hurt and maybe die and probably lose a arm or a leg. I know I can't save everyone and I know I can't keep everyone alive. But you know what... That's all ok." He turned his head to her and smiled. "A real king doesn't sit around worrying about himself. A real king stands strong on the battlefield along with those who risk their lives for him. It's only fair."
He then began to turn towards the hallway hearing the footsteps approaching. He smirked and began to walk towards it.
"Meh. I guess~ if won't forsake you. Didn't really keep me out now did it?" He said with a small laugh. "You stay in there. I'll try and lure them away."
He then began to run towards the corridor and pass them completely.
"Hey! Get that kid!"
Just as expected, the bandits began to chase him instead of heading down the hallway of the chamber. Eugene smiled and hummed as he began to run. The first part of his plan worked! They weren't going to get new the chamber. Now the hardest part was only to stay alive.

XXXXWords had reached her ears about the machinations of the Cancer Prince. Kaia was well-aware what lies behind those eyes of his that gaze upon her. She did not anticipate that it would turn into madness that would ravage his own kin and land. She closed her eyes momentarily before continuing on her path. She had descended to the lands below despite the opposition of the council. She did silence them with one word and they could not do anything but abide. It should be here. He should be here.
She stopped on her tracks and came across a boy lying on the road, bloodied and appeared to be at the edge of death. Her walk was gentle like of a spring wind and elegant that of the stars twinkling as she was now before the boy who appeared to be of 12 years in age. She looked down on him, effectively blocking his sight of the sky and she also noticed that he was crying. "Do you want to live?" Her voice resonated through the open area, but somehow it appeared to be a hollowed hall that was filled only by her presence.
There was pain and the scent of defeat strong within him, but why not? The boy had suffered such travesty and had witnessed an event that a young child as him should not. Still, the world was not fair. "If so, you will have to fight." She ended that statement with that as she turned her back from him as she motioned for her guards to carry the boy. It seemed that the fates had indeed other plans for this young boy. If that was the case, she will be its instrument until it was done.

This was not a simple Chamber as he assumed. That is because the door had sensed he meant no harm. That was something she had ascertained the moment, she had known his presence inside. That is why the guards who are here to guard the doors has a simple duty. It was not to ensure no harm come to her. They are there to ensure that no one disturbs her in isolation. That is also why there are no guards present even with these bandits roaming around.
If there was an inch of ill will, the Chamber would expel the presence forcefully. That is why she was not fearful or worried about her safety. He even told her to stay inside, that was uncalled for. She will remain here. He was the one who barged in without any permission. She went towards the nearest communication globe as she felt that boy left, playing the role of a hero and even telling her what a King is supposed to be. He must have forgotten, heroes are only known when they die and him being as True King is far from it. He is simply a selfish child who does not know his own position. "Princess! Is there anything wrong!? Are you safe? There are intruders within the Palace. We will get to the bottom of it!"

He continued his sprinting wondered what he would do next. He didn't really think it through completely but from the looks of it, at least it was still going in his favor. His dumb luck had gotten him through so far, why not a little more. He huffed and nodded before beginning to speed up. He dashed his way through whatever corridor he could find until finally coming to a stop. This should have taken them off his trail for sure until he was ready for his next plan.
"Huh!? Where did that brat go?"
He snickered under his breathe before kneeling down and lowering his sock revealing a small box. He opened the box revealing small orbs inside. He was the son of a master tactician, he always had something up his sleeves now and again. He smirked and threw one of the orbs out towards the group. Soon a puff of smoke began to go up and he could hear the continuous coughings and soon the crash of them falling down unconscious.
"Yes! Knock out gas!"
However, his celebration was cut short. He notice there were only 5 bandits instead of 6. Soon he was lifted off the ground by his shirt. "Hey let me go!"
"Finally got a hold ya ya litt-AH!"
Eugene quickly bit into the man's hand cutting as deep as he could began he was released. He then grabbed the mans arm and flipped him onto the ground before jumping up and down on the man's stomach.
"Don't touch me!"

She then looked back at Eugene as she reached out her hand for him to hold. "It is time for me to return you to your parents, Prince."

"I.. don't... wa--nt... to.. di--e." He pooled all of his remaining strength and will to raise his hand, an effort to reach out to her. He did not even care anymore who she is or why is she here. All that mattered to him is that she would be able to save him, help him away from death's door. He can't let it end like this for him. He must... must... What... does he have to do? The question stuck on his mind, but it was answered by the strange woman in front of him who looked at him with such calmness, eyes that did not hold any judgement. Her voice resonated inside of him. She said that if he lives, he will have to fight. That's right... She was right.
"I know... I'll fi--ght... I'll..." He didn't finished his sentence, because he had lost consciousness at that point, but in his head, he already did. He was going to kill that man, that Prince. He'll have his justice, his revenge. That's why he must live to make sure of that. He will gather his strength. He must become stronger than anyone else, until then, he will not die as his had outreached hand fell to his side. He was oblivious to the fact that the woman that found him was the Queen and from that point on, their fates will be entwined.
The next thing, he knew when his eyes opened, There was no blue sky, but a wooden ceiling. He was not outside anymore. His body was still in pain, but it was tolerable now. He felt that somehow, his life was not slipping from his grasp anymore. He could feel his clothes had been changed and the feeling of cloth covering certain section of his body. They must have patched him up which was not sort of miracle, because he was certain that the Monstrous Prince made sure that he will not survive. It was true then that the woman saved him, didn't she? He should say his thanks.
So, where was she? His eyes scanned the room to find that beautiful stranger.

Zari thought about it. She had few hours to spare. Usually she didn't bother to show places around and asked some of the servants do it instead. However she wanted to know more about this woman. "Well why not. Do you like mead? There's one tavern nearby that makes the best mead in my Kingdom. It also delivers it to the barracks unfortunately", Zari glanced behind her where the men kept on working. Even if her voice sounded stern, it was clear she was more joking than being serious. "Or I can show you around the forges if you're interested. I'm sorry I don't have that much to show as my Kingdom focuses purely on fighting and weaponry." she laughed a bit.
Zari walked to outside breathing the fresh evening air. That was one of the reasons she liked to live in mountains, the air was different than in other Kingdoms. Of course it was colder for once but it was also more pure. There was no sand from desert nor pollen from the trees.

Eugene shivered hearing the voice. It wasn't another bandit was it?! He soon began to calm down seeing that it was only the Queen.Had she been there the whole time? She apparently witnessed Eugene's oddly lucky plan. He blushed and smiled a large smile hearing her compliments.
"R-Really? Am I?" He laughed. "I-I just wanted to help Madame Queen. I'm sorry that these desert bandits came all the way and ruined your party..." He then gasped hearing her say he would make a great king someday. That meant a lot to him. He finally knew for sure that he could accomplish this. He smiled and nodded.
"My parent's are ok right? And everyone else too?" He said while taking her hand happily. He then began to think and turn back to the door. Her little star huh. He smiled and looked towards the queen.
"Yeah. Our meeting wasn't really the greatest... But I think were maybe friends now! I even gave her my favorite story book." He said with a small giggle. His face then began to pout a bit. "Do you think... That when were older, we'll be able to be real friends? Like REALLY REAL friends Madame Queen?" He then began to smile. "And maybe rule together too!?"

Zari ate quietly as he talked. She knew Eugene was right but it was hard for her to admit it. Especially when she was completely ignored by her brother. She didn't really hate him but she couldn't stand the idea of him getting the crown. Besides he was younger than her, maybe she was worried about him? Just maybe.
Eventually Zari just nodded as an answer. Soon she finished her meal – not even eating half of the steak. She was still troubled and felt any more food would make her sick. She slowly walked over to window and sat on the windowsill looking outside. ”I know nothing about paperwork.” she said smiling shortly watching the sun setting behind the mountains. ”Nor much about leading a Kingdom in general. I had a feeling my father was always training me to be a leader of the army. My studies involved mostly military skills: fighting, making strategies, commanding a unit, surviving in tough terrain. But never how to actual make business with other Kingdoms.” Zari paused for some while just leaning on the wall looking outside.
She took a deep breath and turned around facing Eugene. ”If I become the Princess, will you teach me?” she asked quickly and rather bluntly, nervous for asking help as she had used to survive by herself. She also hoped not to sound too aggressive as she often did.
He watched as she traveled over to the window and began to speak. He nodded happily. "Why of course I will. I will teach you everything you need to know." He said while snickering a bit. "I'll make you the best princess ever. So don't you worry one bit. Got it?"
He wiped his mouth and sighed happily. He was completely full now. He sat back in his chair and turned to her. "Your father was a very skilled huntsmen. He most likely taught you everything he knew because he knew you could figure out the ruling part eventually. He wanted to prepare you so that you can fend for yourself above everything."
He soon stood and smiled. "And as expected, he left the boring part to me." He sighed and smiled shaking his head. "Dammit. That's just like him. Doing all the fun and leaving the boring stuff to someone else. Heh... Well, first things first, you have to achieve the right to rule. Once that's over, your real training begins."

Zari chuckled a bit. It was true. It really sounded like her father. She gave him a smile. "Why thank you my dear King Constellation." she said bowing hiding her wide smirk. She knew he would hate her doing that. He would probably dislike her doing a curtsy even more but that was something Zari had never done. Even if all the ladies in castle had been trying to teach her doing a beautiful curtsy, Zari preferred to act more in the manly side and bow. She didn't care how respectful someone would think that to be.
Zari stood back up smirking. "Well then, would you like to have a sparring match? Maybe do it more fun and have a bet. Loser has to do anything the winner says for a day?" she winked. Eugene had a weird atmosphere around him that made her almost happy. She felt more comfortable and was able to joke. "Unless you're too scared I beat you."
He smirked slightly and laughed. "Wanting to fight me huh?" He said before rubbing his chin. "Well I don't know about that~. You'll probably rip me in half or something." He then smiled. "Plus I'm old. Reeeaaalllyy old. I'd probably break my hip." He said before sighing. "But if your so devoted to fighting me, I couldn't possibly say no."
He then walked to her and picked her up off the ground. "And stop with all the King Constellation stuff. You know you can call me Eugene Zari. Good ol Uncle Eugene." He said with a small snicker. "And who knew you even knew how to curtsy like that. My you really are growing up fast."

She stepped inside the training room, getting a good look around at the weapons available. “Hm… Haven’t practiced this one in a while.” From the shelves, she took out a steel pole that seemed to function as a staff, twirling it this way and that. “Ok, this baby gets to have a whirl!” Alexis came up on the floor, looking to the soldiers who had glared at her. She laughed. “Open to fight anyone.”
At first, the soldiers around appeared reluctant. Then a heavily armored man stepped forward, a mace in his hands. “If it is not too much trouble, Princess Aries, I’d like to test my skills against you.” Despite the politeness of his words, his eyes said otherwise.
Looking him over, Alexis nodded. “Ok, hit me with your best shot.” She got into a ready position, her hands holding her staff held in front of her diagonally, favoring her right side. She did not seem phased by the large amount of metal on him. The man examined her carefully for a moment before clomping forward. In an instant, Alexis appeared at his side, the pole having been stabbing his stomach before getting slammed on his hand and beneath his chin. The Arian was not at all being gentle about it.
The man fell back, clutching his chin. Alexis lowered her weapon. “If you’re going to fight, do it properly.” She rolled the mace back at him. “You need to work on your speed. Run in your armor. It’ll get you used to it. Also.” Alexis imitated the overhead movement the man had started off with. “That is how you lose a fight. You’re open everywhere. No overhead swings with the mace unless your target is slow. I am not slow.” Alexis let the pole go to her side, turning to the soldiers who had been watching. “NEXT!”
One after another, soldiers came to her. They fought, they lost, they received advice as to getting better. As the last soldier came along, she turned to look at Alexis in confusion. “Why are you helping us?”
“Because,” Alexis began, as if to construct something inspirational, but, failing, shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know. I guess I just want to fight worthy opponents.”
Seeing she was finished and this was indeed very late, Alexis tossed the pole to the rack she had gotten it from, eyes watching as it landed inside. She cheered. “Whoo! It made it!” Taking a water bottle apparently left by one of the soldiers, Alexis downed it and sighed happily. “Ok, Scrops,” she said as she approached him. “It’s late. Didn’t know it’d take this long.” Alexis glanced over to him. “Hopefully not boring?”

She the responded that she could not do anything else, saving him was her limitations. His expression held disappointment and sadness. He had wanted to ask for her help, because even if he did say, he was going to fight. There was no denying that the man he was up against was the Prince of Cancer. How could he fight that? He was just a child who has still yet to understand the entire situation. Where would he start? How could he be stronger than that man? There were many questions flooding in his head. "I understand." Or maybe archery since you were just shining in it." she said with mocking but friendly tone.
Zari had a soft blush on her cheeks when Eugene lifted her up. "Come on, I'm not a kid anymore. Or would a kid go and fight for the throne?" she smirked. It was nice to have someone on her side. Someone who felt like her father. Without thinking more than that, she just leaned closer to him closing her eyes.

Eugene smiled sheepishly as he listened to the queen's words. She was so wise and so soft and loving. It was as if she was completely different from Kaia. And if the queen believed that they had a chance to be friends, then it had to be true right? He gave a small sigh of relief hearing that his parents and the others were ok. "That's good..." He said before smiling. "And it was nothing. She had so many boring books. I thought maybe one of my story books would cheer her up."
He followed along with the queen looking around to see if any damages had been done to her palace. Everything seemed pretty ok. He nodded. "Don't give up?" He then snickered. "That's not a problem! I never ever give up! I'll keep trying and maybe we can be friends. Maybe even best friends!" He was so optimistic.

He then took a deep breath and yelled louder. "Goodbye Laia!"
The setting changes from Long Before This Time: King and Queen Event to Aries and Leo Relations
Princess Zari Leo
Zari chuckled softly. "Aren't you pretty blunt. Not many visitors ask how am I. But don't worry it's refreshing to meet someone like that. Someone's who not always bowing and speaking polite, choosing carefully their words not to offend me. Well the last part might have more to do with them being afraid of me than just mere offending. Anyway being a Princess isn't as glamorous as it sounds. There's a huge amount of paperwork to do. But I still prefer to do it myself to be sure all the numbers are right." She talked while leading Alexis to the forges. It was a mere chit chat but not something Zari did often. She preferred to go straight down to business. However wanting to know more about this woman, she was playing along her rules. She wanted to know something about her, and she would tell it, but expected an answer.
The forge was actually a huge complex with several smaller forges inside the area and was located near the castle itself. Even if it was already evening the blacksmiths were still working. Zari had always admired their passion for work. They were mostly producing one or two-handed swords, shields and armors but there could be seen bows and arrows, spears, war hammers and maces as well. There truly was something for everyone. Zari greeted the workers familiarly, almost everyone by name. They bowed back at her wishing her good evening or asking what they could do to her at this ”lovely evening” as they phrased it. ”Thank you but I'm just showing this lady around.” Zari answered to them as each of them offered to help with a tour. ”As you can see they are really proud of their work. The secrets of these forges have been passed from master to apprentice for decades, some maybe even centuries.” she said clearly an admiring tone in her voice. Each item was piece of art and Zari loved to see how the metal become alive in the workers hands. 'I should come here more often', she thought in her mind.
”Well miss Alexis Conall, it's my turn to ask a question. What drives you to fight with such fierce passion?”

Collectibles

Mobs
Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!
Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!
