As expected, once his parents found out, they were not too happy. In fact, it was obvious to know that a grounding would be in order as well as a apology to the Queen herself. He did as he was told and did so. He didn't see what he had done wrong but thankfully he got away with only a few spankings and a grounding. As the party began to die down and many began to leave, Eugene gathered his things and prepared to enter the boat until they were approached by a guard.

"Your highness! The ship! Bandits raided and destroyed it completely and now we have no idea where they have gone! You all may be in danger. Please stay until we catch these criminals."

Eugene's father was not very happy with knowing that his ship had been compromised and that he had unknowingly taken such a threat to a friendly kingdom. He turned to Eugene's mother and began to talk with her. Eugene glared angrily. Bandits were quite common in the desert lands but to think they had the nerve to travel to another place aboard their ship and cause havoc! This couldn't be happening. His mother turned to him and kneeled slightly.

"Eugene your father is going to talk to the Queen and get all the guards as well as our guards to search for the bandits. He may will have to go and fend off. The Queen may as well. I will go and assist with getting people to safety. Do you think you can be a good boy and stay inside the Queen's palace until I call for you?"

Eugene pouted angrily. "But I wanna fight too! Dad said that I'm getting stronger and stronger! I may not have a weapon but... Bandits are bandits! And their gonna hurt everybody if we don't stop them!"

She smiled. "Eugene I know you are strong but you have to know when it is time to fight and when it is time to protect. And now, your just to keep those important safe. Understand?"

Eugene blinked blankly and nodded giving a serious look before running back into the palace. He sighed and stumbled around. Everyone had run seemed to have gotten out safely. Was it only the King and Queen's family left now. He paused seeing the door yet again. He wondered if the girl even had any idea of what was happening. He took a deep breath and began to approach it before stopping. He probably wasn't allowed inside. Well, that's just inside. He turned and leaned against the door. No guards were here so he decided to guard it himself. He knocked lightly and faced forward looking around as if he were indeed a real guard.

Princess Zari Leo

It wasn't long after Zari got back to her castle when one of the guards approached him. "Miss Leo" he said bowing. "I apologize for bothering but there's a fight in the barracks going on. This time it's at the dining hall. Even some Captains have taken part in it instead of trying to calm down their unit." Zari wanted to slam her head on the wall. Again? it had been only two days ago since she had been stopped one. A small fights happened everyday but it wasn't small anymore if Zari got involved.

"Fine fine. I come to take care of it." Zari turned over and followed the guard. "What the heck are those Captains doing? They should be preventing fighting and instead they go along. God damnit it's not even night yet. And just when I was going to get a nice shower" Zari was thinking in her mind. As they got closer it was clear there was a ruckus. The sounds of sword clashing together, men shouting and cursing, tables and chairs shattering - It all could be heard far. Growling Zari draw her claymore and kicked the door open.

"The next person raising his sword will face me!"

Zari's loud shout echoed in the hall as she was looking at her warriors with narrowed eyes. One by one the men turned towards her lowering their weapons. "And this time, I'm not going to pay for your new furniture. You keep smashing it like trash! The only trash I see in here is you!" She spoke loud and clear making sure every one of them would heard her. "And you three" she pointed at the Captains that were having their own share of fun. "One more time and I kick your ass!" Zari was pissed of for doing their work. Surprisingly none of them stood against her. "Too scared or too drunk even have a real fight?" Zari wondered.

She stood there proud and ready to attack definitely not looking an ordinary princess. She was a wild cat.

XXXXShe was delicately lounged at the window sill with a book on her lap as the glistening stars and the moon's light were cast down on her form. She was still, her eyes closed, with the even breathing patterns assuming that she was asleep. She was a vision of serenity, completely isolated from the events happening beyond the chamber she had been placed in. There was no doubt of worry in her mind that the Dominion would be plagued by the malice from below.

Her sleep was disturbed when a knock echoed through the hallowed halls of the Chamber. Her eyes slowly opening as the sea of stars was reflected on it. Then, she elegantly stood from her position with a book in her hand. It seemed that had fallen asleep while reading. This was a typical thing with her as she lose herself within the written words. It is not true that she does not feel an even ounce of desire to leave the Chambers and explore, but she has a duty and a responsibility being placed on her shoulders. She cannot fail that, so she must contain and teach herself not to desire anything. That is why for now, she would allow this sense of adventure she has towards the books located in the library.

She then walked towards the door as she remembered the knocking sound that woke her up. She placed the book on a nearby table and exited as the doors opened for her. She soon found herself in front of the main doors to the Chamber. There was no on inside, but she was well-aware there was a presence outside. It held a degree of familiarity. She was contemplating whether to speak or not. If it was the council, they would have entered. This was an odd thing, but she could not dismiss the idea of an emergency. "Who is beyond the doors?" Her voice remained calm and soft, not reflecting anything beyond how pristine she must be. "Speak your purpose."

Eugene smiled as he heard the voice. Well at least she was safe. He turned his back against the door and slid down before siting against it.

"Umm this is the great man of the sky here to take you to your destiny!" Eugene said in an obviously fake voice. He then began to laugh. "Just kidding! It's me again. Eugene. Remember." He pulled his knees up to his stomach and rested his chin on them. "Don't worry I won't come inside promise."

He wondered if perhaps she would get lonely in there. He knows that if he had the same fate as her, he'd probably would have bitten the dust by now. Especially at times like this when bandits are roaming about. His face soon shifted to a serious one.

"There are some bandits that are roaming around in your kingdom now. Their pretty bad people and they like hurting people. So don't worry! I'll be out here to guard so that none of them get inside!"

Of course, he didn't have a mean's of protecting himself either. He didn't really think this one through but he was prepared for the worse. Long as everyone else was safe, what more could he ask for. He kicked his feet and looked up at the ceiling slightly.

"Do you... Ever get lonely in there.. Whatever your name is?"

The wolf rider nodded, "We can go faster, Ma'am. If you wish so." he said as the pack of wolves sped up into the forest with haste, breezing through the rain, mist, and cold air with ease. Soon enough they arrived at the giant tree that was Elaine's castle, the man nodded as he offered his hand to help the Aries princess off the wolf she was on, "Welcome to Mithuna" he remarked, knowing exactly where he was, though to someone whom had no idea what they were looking for, it just looked like a whole bunch of trees. After helping the Aries princess, the man walked to a tree, and opened what seemed to be a door, in which a knight came out. Her weapons were sheathed as she nodded and bowed to the princess,

"I'm Mineczka, Captian of the Geminian Knights, and one of the council of eight. It's a pleasure to meet you" she said at first, though continuing, "Now, if you'll follow me, I'll lead you into the castle, where you may speak with Princess Elaine."

Meanwhile in the castle, Elaine sighed, her attendees all around her, working on getting Elaine ready, though she thought to herself Is this all necessary? I was fine with what I was in earlier.... Though after a bit of preparation, Elaine was finally done and ready to talk, and in more regal dress, she stepped into her throne room to wait for Aries.

Slowly Zari was able to calm down as Eugene hold her close. Being embarrassed she had just jumped and hugged him Zari pulled back. "Yeah, you're right." she said and tried to smile but failed miserably. Even if everything Eugene was true and was meant to encourage her, his words made her miss her father even more. It all had happened so soon. Of course Aldrich had been getting old but he had been always going, not letting his age to hold him back. Zari had always been close to her father. Much closer than anyone else in the Kingdom.

"Battle roar, eh?" Zari thought in her mind. She was already about to roar as loud as she could but in the last second she changed her mind. "Meow?" She imitated a small kitten and turned her head on the side confused manner joking with him.

He smirked and quickly stood up before picking her up off the ground and placing her on his shoulder. "Heh very funny." He said before laughing. He began to walk out of the practice room and looked up to her slowly. He could tell that she still grieved a bit for her father. It was only natural.

"Hey. Everything is gonna be ok."

He smiled and patted her head before continuing to walk. "Now come on. You've spent far too much time in there. Your getting cleaned up and your going to eat with good ol' Eugene ok." He stuck his tongue out at her before taking her to her room. He palced her down and kneeled down slightly.

"Now go get cleaned up."

Zari Leo

Zari was surprised as he picked her up but didn't try to get away either. "I hope so..." she answered quietly, trying not to seem too upset. She leaned on his back for better balance. It felt just the same as when she had been younger and her father had carried her around the castle grounds.

She blushed slightly as he pointed out she had spent all her time in the practice rooms. "Yes, mom" she said joking. In other circumstances she would have called him dad, but it was too soon for that. Zari didn't know why she enjoyed this or why he was able to make her more relaxed but she was happy that he did.

Zari nodded and smiled grabbing a towel and some clean clothes before heading to bathroom. She washed up quickly but properly enjoying the warm water running down her shoulders. She changed to clean clothes and brushed her hair cursing as they were a huge mess and in tangles. Still having the brush in her hand she came back to her bedroom where Eugene was waiting. "Did you tell anyone you are here? I'm not sure if anyone has prepared a meal." She said sounding a bit more responsible than an ordinary girl.

Eugene smiled and laughed a bit at being called dad. Well at least her spirits were a bit up now. He sat down and relaxed a bit before she returned.

"Ahh all clean?" He said before smiling. "Well when I arrived, your nice people took my things to the guest room. Not really sure if they are preparing anything but hey, I can wait."

He said while groaning slightly. He rubbed his stomach. "Ah. Hope it's a lot though. I'm starving."

He folded his arms and smiled towards her. "And if your going to call me mom at least tell if I'm a pretty mom or not." He said with a small snicker. "Who am I kidding. Of course I am. Don't you agree Zari?" He said while hugging her. "And If I'm a mom that means lots and lots of kisses for my little lioness huh."

Zari Leo

Zari was getting hungry too but didn't want to let him know that. The apple she had eaten before was her breakfast and lunch combined. Her eating for the past weeks had been similar, she had only eaten what it needed to keep on practicing. As she was trying to think, she couldn't remember when was the last time she had had a warm meal.

Zari laughed at his silliness hugging him back. "Yes, you are very beautiful mother", she said chuckling and shaking her head. She couldn't blame him as she had been the one starting it. Still it made her laugh to think that the King of whole country was acting like that. But that was why Zari was fond of him. He didn't let his position to prevent him from being himself. He did just like he wanted not caring about ruining his reputation. An example Zari was hoping to follow one day.

"Well then, let's go to find out if someone has been smart enough to prepare a meal for the King." She gave him a slight smile. She was already heading out of door when realized the hairbrush was still in her hand and just threw it over her shoulder without looking where it landed. She heard a "clomp" and thought it was hit on the desk but when she turned around she saw it had hit on Eugene. She smirked. "Damn I'm good. Hitting my opponent without looking."

She then run out of the door and down the stairs heading to the dining hall. "The last one there is a rotten egg!" she shouted playfully having a good head start.

“Maybe because they know who the alpha is in all this,” Alexis joked from the doorway. Having heard the commotion, she had come over to quench her boredom. To think they were having a reckless fight in all this. Then again, was this different from the Arian kingdom? She could remember well her time in the barracks. Yes, there was a friendliness to all of it but they knew respect down to the core. If a higher up ranked officer told you to shut up, you did so. Push ups, you did so. If the Prince told you to train for 3 years… You did so. No questions asked. Here, there was still a wild, untamed spirit alive in these Leos. Alexis thought of what it would be like if she still had that fire. If she could get it back. Drifting back into reality, she waved a hand to those who turned to look at her. “Don’t mind me, just wandering about.”

Zari Leo

As Zari got to the dining hall she was shocked to see the chefs had made a full course meal. There was plenty more food than usually. The traditional dinner of Leo's was more on the heavy side: greasy pork, steaks of elk, a whole roasted pheasant, potatoes, carrots and other root vegetables. The food was still untouched meaning her brother hadn't come to eat yet. "Well, good thing is I don't have to cook. Otherwise you should have settled on boiled eggs." she joked. The truth was she was a horrible cook. Living in the castle and spending all her time learning military and survival skills, the common knowledge of cooking had never been passed to her. She was just as bad in cleaning as well and Zari was sure without her servants, her room would be a mess.

The smell of food made her stomach grumble as she sat down. Not wanting to act like a commoner, she placed a napkin on her lap and let the servants offer her food and drink. "Please enjoy the dinner" she said formally. She hated these ridiculous formalities as she just wanted to dig in but her respect towards her father who had taught her good manners was preventing her. Even if he had let Zari act pretty freely, table manners was one thing he never let her slide. She could do it while alone but not when having visitors. As she took a knife in right hand and fork in left cutting her steak into small pieces she looked at Eugene. "How long are you planning to stay?"

"Ah good evening miss Conall." Zari greeted her and turned back to his men. "Okay, listen up you pieces of shit! You'll clean this whole hall spotless right now! And you do it with using your own toothbrush!" Some of the men groaned. "Shut up! You can choose either that or 200 push-ups"! Zari snapped her fingers. A mark that it had to happen immediately. There was two men that started to do the push-ups but the rest stayed still. They could tell Zari was pissed off and didn't want to anger her even more. "And you better fix all the chairs and tables you broke unless you don't want to sit on floor for the next two years. I'll come back in three hours and I want this place to be so clean I can see my reflection on the floor!"

Zari just turned around sharply knowing they would get to work. She then approached Alexis. "Have you enjoyed your time in my Kingdom, miss Conall?" she asked calmly like nothing had happened.

"I see," Artos said, watching her face with his dark eyes. He wouldn't say he was 'sorry' for his passing. He loathed when people told him that after his own brother had passed away. That they were 'sorry' as if the mention of the word would somehow make it better or give him 'support' when, really, they only said it because it was what they were supposed to say. He didn't want their pity cloaked in sympathy.

Setting his glass down, he decided a change of subjects was due, "If you are done eating, I can take you to the training grounds, I have little more I need to do," which wasn't completely true. He had numerous reports he had to finish reading, orders to hand out, change the patrol routes of the city guard and overlook some finical reports and request put forth by the council, but he was used to late nights.

A laugh of joy left her lips as they ran faster, her hood falling off her head and her hair trailing behind her. She felt so free… Sadly, the ride was faster than she’d like to say. As they slowed to a stop, Alexis examined their surroundings, whistling a bit. “Very impressive. Can’t even tell where we are.” She hopped off the wolf on her own, nodding to the Geminian in thanks before watching him open the door in a tree. As the woman stepped out, Alexis examined her curiously. Such an interesting dress for a knight. This whole kingdom seemed like a fairytale.

“It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Mineczka. Lead the way.” Alexis answered, readjusting the cloak to make her appearance appear more proper. It felt good to not have to meet a royal in a dress. There was much more freedom when she was dressed like this.

She could almost laugh! Ah, the memories of having to clean rooms spotless with toothbrushes. It made fights all the more worth it. Alexis watched with approval as the men began to work, looking over at Zari. She gave a small wave, pushing to stand up once more. “It’s been a bit rowdy but I find this kingdom very pleasurable,” Alexis replied, humming happily. “Any recommendations for places I can visit while having my stay? I’d like to take a small break from training for a while.”

The past few months had been nonstop training. The first three at a special forces unit for the Arians. The next few traveling across the kingdoms, fighting whoever she could and refusing failure. She couldn’t say she hated it. What she felt was different than hatred. Reluctance? Possibly. More like disappointment. That every day she’d have to do something to be better. “If it’s no trouble, would you care to show me around?”

Zari ate slowly enjoying the taste of meat. "Mmh... Probably still with the counselors. It's all he's doing right now. Paper work and stuff. He has no time for training I think. Don't know for sure to be honest. Haven't been talking to him that much lately." she said a bit absent minded. She didn't really even want to talk to him. Since no one was paying attention to her, she didn't bother to pay attention to them.

"And I let the servants know about your plans so there will be meals prepared and your room taken care of." She added still not really talking to him as she was looking out of the window. She was thinking about the upcoming fight. It would probably be a good show to him and many other Leos but she was worried. Even if she won would they approve her as a leader?

Zari was waken up from her thoughts as Eugene teased her about her cooking skills. "Hey, I can make delicious herb tea" she said confidently

He sighed. It must be such a large adjustment to have to take over his fathers responsibilities. He turned his head to her slightly. "Heya kiddo. Promise me if you do win, you'll still keep your brother close ok? I don't want you two constantly fueding or anything." He said with a small groan.

Princess Alexis Conall Aries

Her arms stretching upwards, she allowed air into her lungs to wake her up. The meal had been filling albeit bland. It was strange to think she wouldn’t be able to eat all that was on the table. It was usually practical to do so at home. Then again, the chefs probably wanted to show their full potential.

After a bit, Alexis hopped off the chair, turned to Scorpio with a bright grin. She beamed with peppiness. “Thank you for the meal and the escort to the training grounds. I’ll make sure not to take up more of your time then I need to.” Alexis waited for him to rise, inspecting the room lightly. A hum began, an Arian marching tune from her days in the army. Ah, such good memories.

As they began on their way, Alexis once more though of the conversation they had just had. “You know, I didn’t realize it until now. It’s strange to think we have something so bizarre in common.” Her eyes turned to the Scorpio she had been walking beside, still having a trace of thought interwoven in her irises. “We both have achieved what our brothers couldn’t."

XXXXIt was the same boy. It seemed the guards were nowhere in sight once more. He was persistent, that was something she would say about him. He also has this uncanny ability to sound like a belligerent fool, but he did say he won't come inside. That was a beginning, all she had to do now was leave him to his own devices. She didn't see the need to say anything further and decided to take her leave. It seemed this boy just couldn't get to his head the meaning of her actions, leave me alone, but he spoke again and this time it made a sense to her.

The presence of bandits are unheard of in the Dominion, to have them here must meant that it had been brought from the lands below. This was troubling, the Queen and the guards were probably mobilizing to ensure the safety of everyone. How about her? She was safe within the Chamber, she had no doubt about it, but his latter words struck him as pure naivety.
