Nothing but racing atoms and star dust particles. There was no here and there, no such thing as a conscience, and there was everything in nothing. The universe was stuck in looping violence. Stars collided with each other and blew holes in the fabric of space that spared nothing. Chaos reigned with no rhyme or reason, and greedily expanded it's horizons in loping waves. Chaos left nothing in its wake, supergiants were diminished to nothing, leaving little white dwarfs in their wakes.
Chaos and its war path led to the collision of the oldest and strongest stars in existence, older than mankind could bear to grasp, and from their deaths bore our mother, Gaea. She was birthed with reason and understanding, and she was drastically different from all the other things that Chaos had created. She was gentle and delicate, yet strong and unbeatable. Everything starts with Gaea, everything starts with our mother, and you and I.

Gaea was kindhearted and gentle. When the violent and unmanageable came her way she opened her arms up and embraced them. Mother saw the universe that had birthed her as her own body and even as the stars fought and the black holes fulfilled their gluttony she continued to gently care for them and nurture the aftermath of their violence. Our mother singlehandedly brought life into our universe.
Gaea was unlike anything Chaos had ever seen. Her delicacy and warmth were foreign and Chaos began to favor Gaea in the vastness of its universe. She was the opposite of what Chaos was. Our mother, however; grew lonely in that universe and Chaos knew it could not give her the love that she wanted. It was not capable of that kind of complexity, so Chaos gifted Gaea with another. Uranus was born from Gaea and became her only lover. They became what you know as the Sky and the Earth. And from their love bore 12 children.

My brothers and sisters came to life as beings stronger than you can hope to understand. We were born as six brothers and six sisters, and with each child brought into the universe Chaos' presence waned until it was nearly none existent. Snubbed by the existence of that which it favored. We were powerful, but unlike our parents, our power specialized in different fields. Some of my siblings ruled amongst the stars and space, while others stayed close to mother.
Our reign did not last long, and though we loved our mother as the next generation came we were cast aside. The Olympians became who she favored even though they ruled selfishly and gave into their own desires. From their foolishness their children created mankind, who not only disrespected their creators, but Gaea, the one who they lived on.

Mankind cut down her forests and polluted her body faster than we had ever seen. The progress was incredible and terrifying and all we could do was watch from our prison. But as one of my sisters once said, "Time will set us free." And she was right. Time eroded away our prison, but after so long we could no longer freely walk the Earth. We had to find support and mingle into the humans, be reborn as they were. That we were, some of my sibling remember who they are, others have yet to awaken. In our human vessels we are both limited and liberated. Being human gives us the freedom to rewrite our stories, but limited our powers to nearly nothing that they were. We started with the idea to end humanity, but some of my siblings have strayed from the cause and we are divided now. To save mother, or to save humanity, which ever side we choose it seems we are to go to war.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 11 authors
"Everyone calls me pretty boy; can't you be more original?" One of Gale's eyebrows raised. He was a pretty boy; she was calling him what he was. What was she supposed to call him? Maybe she'd call him ugly boy, just to screw with him. Yeah, that was his new nickname. Ugly boy. Gale couldn't help but snicker at his new name.
"Not someone I actually know then. Rezu Sonova; you suck at basic courtesy. People introduce themselves earlier than that." Gale couldn't help but scoff as she maneuvered through the crowd. Thankfully it was smaller than before, so she'd have a much easier time pinpointing the others. "He is right, you know." "Well," Gale murmured in response to Crius, "Human courtesy won't matter soon enough, right?" She uttered it quietly enough so that Rezu wouldn't hear. However the next sentence she made sure was audible. "...Didn't you already tell me your name?"
Whether he responded or not, she did not hear, though taken either way it would not and did not please her. That displeasure took to building as they carried on, coddled by the silence, and boosted by Rezu's next unsatisfactory remark.
"I'm surprised, you did manage to find them." Gale's eye twitched. Rezu was surprised? Their conversation prior to the remark was already enough to irk her, but that he had the nerve to assume she was less than competent! Wow, did that piss her off! In fact, she was more than ready to snap at him. Though before she could say anything, her attention wavered, and for a few seconds she forget he was there. A blissful few seconds, it was. Instead of focusing on Rezu, her eyes focused on three new figures: two males, who couldn't have been older than Gale, and the other was a woman with honey brown curls. The other titans, Gale immediately assumed. Maybe they aren't blossoming assholes, she thought scathingly as Rezu brightened the mood with a bouquet of sarcastic remarks.
When Rezu's bouquet was soiled by the woman's sweetly uttered yet sardonic comment, Gale couldn't help but snigger. Her snigger lasted for a while, up until the white haired boy spoke about destroying the city. Immediately the chuckle faded, and was replaced by a look of strong enthusiasm mixed with fierce determination. She could feel Crius stir inside of her as everyone began introducing themselves, along with their titans. Adelaide was the first to speak, followed by Chester, followed by Castiel. Gale took it upon herself to be next. "I'm Gale... Pepperman. Gale Pepperman. I've got Crius, and..." She paused before revealing her age. It was embarrassing that she was fourteen years old and only 5'2"... though not as embarrassing as being, what, 5'0"? That Castiel kid couldn't be taller than that... She smirked. "I'm fourteen."

_____ Before the woman could continue, a young boy spoke to answer his previous question. He didn't care if it would paint him in a bad light; Rezu simply refused to agree to the idea just like that. "We are not destroying a city overnight." The subject moved to introductions, but he remained reeling from Chester's words. He mentioned the loss of thousands of lives as if it were the natural order of things. From what the model knew of Thea's opinions, it probably was the case. He definitely didn't agree. Coeus likely had a stronger hold of his psyche than Thea did on his own. To Rezu, it felt entirely possible his viewpoint was shaped entirely by the titan. The thought made him uncomfortable; even Thea felt restless at the implications.
_____ Next was another boy whose voice had shown hesitance in contrast with Chester's resolute stance. At least one of the kids had a bit of sanity left in their bones. Gale then introduced herself to the rest of the group, an eyebrow coming up in surprise at her young age. A quick re-study revealed that it was probably true; she'd just appeared larger than life when she forced herself into his presence.
_____ "Rezu Sonova, twenty-one. Model by profession." He sat atop the crate he'd previously leaned on. Being with these people was going to be exhausting, to say the least. Might as well prepare himself for the worst. "As I said earlier, Thea's with me."
_____ "Now that we're all acquainted by something other than Titan names, let's go back to Chester's previous statement." Pausing for effect, he met everyone's stares with a steady gaze. "Whatever everyone else's plan is, I'm not agreeing to destroying an entire city. That's just plain fucked up." If the kid could talk about the loss of human lives so casually, Rezu found no need to watch his language.
_____ "I know about why the titans want to wreak havoc and destruction and all." A non-committal shrug hat accompanied the statement. "But isn't it exactly this same kind of behavior that got them imprisoned in the first place?" He looked pointedly at Adelaide, referring to the story of Zeus and his siblings. When he read about it in the mythology books, the only thing he could say was this is really messed up, accompanied by Thea's laughter in his head. "Killing everyone as a 'prevention measure'," The air quotes only further implied his doubts on the idea. "I'm pretty sure that's not going to work out."

Seoul, South Korea | Kiyota's Apartment
"Alright, that should do it. Hyung is going to be thrilled." Kiyota said to himself with a grin as he took a look back at all of the picture he has taken of the river and was quite satisfied with the scenery that he's managed to captured. Originally, taking pictures here and there was not really his hobby at first. But as time passes by, he couldn't help but feel that the beauty of nature works had mesmerized him. And as a way to treasure all of the natural scenery he once came across, Kiyota wanted to capture it all by taking their photos.
As placed his camera back to its bag, he fixed his scarf back a bit before putting his backpack up again and was readied to get back to university. Then suddenly, a young girl approached him and tapped Kiyota on his back. But just as the girl touched his back, a chill gone through his back that made him startled. Rhea suddenly stirred up inside him again. This feeling is just exactly like the time when he encountered another Titan in his past. Turning back to face the girl, the Titaness inside him kept whispering the name 'Mnemosyne'. The name kept repeating so much that Kiyota has to hung his head. Some rocks around them suddenly started to float.
Realizing that his power is getting loose, Kiyota tried his best to held Rhea down and grab hold of his power again. When everything's over, he smiled unconvincingly at the girl, "I-I'm sorry. Something's just crossed through my mind. I hope I didn't startle you. Okay, you asked me if I know any stories about ghost stories or legends of the Han River, right?"
Kiyota then paused for a moment to recollect back to the texts he once read back at the university about some urban legends of the famous river then recounted for the girl with the stories he'd read about a monster that lived beneath the bottom of the river which is quite similar to the myth of the Loch Ness monster and the ghosts of women and girls who committed suicide that often haunted the people around here at night years ago.
"Well, that's all I've known about this river. There's many other in the materials in the library of my university but I haven't remembered them just yet." Kiyota replied respectfully. He stayed silent for a bit before looking straight into the girl's eyes, "Uhm, I know that it is quite out of the blue for me to ask this but... do you happen to know anything about the Titans in the Greek myths, or more specifically, Mnemosyne?"

What the heck? Hyun thought, trying hard not to look like she was scrutinizing the man in front of him. It was a woman's voice that spoke in his head, one that seemed to know of her Titaness.
She wanted to think of this as merely a coincidence, merely that she just "looked" like someone who would have her, but the Titan inside of her said that there were none. Could it be possible that he had a Titan as well? There had to be reasoning behind all of this, so much reason that she barely listened to any of the things that he was saying. Hyun didn't doubt this guy's good intentions as every word he spoke of, he also recalled in his mind but he left her anticipating.
"Mmm," she nodded, eyes meeting his.
"Uhm, I know that it is quite out of the blue for me to ask this but... do you happen to know anything about the Titans in the Greek myths, or more specifically, Mnemosyne?"
And there it was.
"Not to my, memory," she threw her head back and laughed a fake laugh before relaxing her face, "but seriously. Why are you asking?"
The setting changes from Seoul to New Orleans
βWeβ¦ We are?β When the first thing Chesterβs declaration was met with hesitance he faltered for a moment. He was more than shocked that one of his siblings was unsure of their purpose. In Chesterβs mind it only made sense that they decimate the city they found themselves in, after years of not seeing any titans suddenly finding almost half of them was fate. Gaea had brought them together to save her, and New Orleans just happened to be their ground zero. But when he felt Casβs hand slip from his grip Chester felt his chest constrict in worry. He hadnβt taken into account that the other vessels would not want to end humanity.
Even when the handsome man chimed in that they couldnβt possibly destroy a city overnight, Chester supposed that at least was a reasonable statement, the white haired boy couldnβt help but think he also had reservations about a species wide annihilation. Ok, even when Chester phrased it as βspecies wide annihilationβ did it sound a bit brutal and drastic, but he knew it was necessary to save Gaea from dying. Only one side would be left standing and it was between the humans and their mother.
The actual introduction of everyone took him away from his panic momentarily. It was especially interesting to learn about Castiel, even though the white haired boy had already known his name learning that Cas was just a year older than him was exciting. He had expected that by the time he had met any of the titans that they would all be older like Rezu and Adele, but Cas and Gale were both close in age to him and that was infinitely more comforting, adults had always been so boring to the boy and he doubted he would feel much differently even if they hosted a titan.
"Whatever everyone else's plan is, I'm not agreeing to destroying an entire city. That's just plain fucked up." Chesterβs jaw nearly dropped when Rezu started opposing the war deceleration. He had been nervous when Castiel had shown resistance, but Rezu was flat out rejecting anything of the sort. Chester realized leveling an entire city was ambitious, but this place didnβt have to crumble overnight. The five of them could have at least started reeking havoc, a few weeks and the city could have been at their feet in shambles. Chester was going to propose that at the very least they could start planning their onslaught, but Rezu didnβt stop with just rejecting his ideas.
As the man went on Chester felt as his shock began morphing into anger. Rezu wasnβt simply being disagreeable, it sounded as if the vessel was completely rejecting the will of the titan inside of him. It sounded as ifβ¦ he was defending humanity. The very thought had Chesterβs lip curling in disgust. The boy clenched his fists at his side, the very idea of one of his siblings not putting Gaea as their first priority was sickening. He stared at Rezu with vacant eyes, if one vessel was capable of defying Gaea it was possible that the others were too. His eyes traced over Gale, she was the only one that had not shown any outward apprehension to his suggestion, she was definitely on his side. He moved on to the others, Castiel specifically, looking at him out of the corner of his eye. He had been so relieved when he had first met the boy, but he suddenly seemed dangerous, he suddenly looked like a human when mere moments ago that had been his sister. He snapped his eyes back up at Rezu trying to keep his voice level.
βI cannot believe this. It sounds like you are defending the humans?β His tone cracked in incredulous disbelief despite his efforts to keep it level. βHumans. The ones who are literally killing Mother with each second that ticks by. You say that what I purpose is a prevention measure, but I donβt think you realize that species eradication is the solution here.
Humans donβt even deserve to be defended at all. They take from each other, and they kill each other because their ideas do not align. Iβve read their history books; they have more willing turned on each other because of the color of their skin than because one group has done something morally wrong. They do not embrace things different from themselves, and if they knew what any of us were capable of, the abilities we possess and the titans inside our bodies, we would become their lab rats, they would ostracize us, they would call us aliens and continue to kill Gaea as we became their seventh grade science projects. Humans are nasty parasites that take from the weak and destroy that which does not belong to them. They act in ways that only benefit themselves, yet you would rather stay with them then your own siblings. I cannot believe this.β The boyβs fists unclenched as he finished the rather long tirade. Humans were horrible creatures, and he knew from experience that they were not accepting of those not like their own, βWhy be different when you can be normalβ, his fatherβs favorite saying, rang in the back of his mind. Humanity was not something worth saving, let alone defending.
The setting changes from New Orleans to Seoul
βTakazawa! Takazawa-chan get back here immediately! Hiramaru put her down now!β Two figures sped through the backstage halls of the amphitheater at a neck breaking pace. A brilliantly blond girl clung to the back of a tall man as he pummeled his way through a crowd of confused looking stagehands as the furious looking woman gave chase behind them in heels not suited for this sort of activity. The blond girl laughed as she tightened her hold on the running man, there was no way she could have slipped away from her manager today, the woman had locked her up tight, but the appearance of Hiramaru had shaken up the womanβs plans.
βIβll be back before the show starts Tokou-chan!β She called out, raising one of her hands to wave at her manager who continued to scream from somewhere in the distance. The man continued on his fast pace until they were two blocks away from the amphitheater. When Hiramaru finally slowed to a halt Kumiko slid off his back, wrapping her arms around the waist of the panting man. He gently rested one of his palms on the top of her head.
βSometimes youβre more trouble than youβre worth, Ko-chan.β He grumbled, but she didnβt let go, burying her head in his side for a moment. Hide Hiramaru had proven to be one of her best friends on her tour around the world, and she was extremely grateful for his presence. βKumiko, you need to go, Iβve got a surprise for you.β
βBut you love me anyways Hidichi.β She released her friend from her death grip of a hug to show off a huge smile before turning around. Hyperion didnβt usually interrupted conversations she was having with other humans, so he definitely had her attention. She raised one arm in a half wave as she started off in the direction opposite the theater she was set to perform in. Hyperion stirred in the back of her mind almost restlessly, it made the girl a little anxious, but she didnβt say anything about it. Instead she walked in silence for a bit, humming a tune softly to her. She had been excited to go to Korea because she actually spoke Korean fluently, it was one of the two languages she had mastered that werenβt Japanese. Touring the world had been amazing, but actually being able to understand the people around her had been refreshing. Just has she was coming upon a giant river did Hyperion speak up again.
βThe river! Something incredibly wonderful is waiting for you at that river!β Hyperionβs excitement was leaking into Koβs own demeanor and she couldnβt keep her heart rate under control as she approached the massive river. The girl had no idea what could have possibly been waiting there for her, but Hyperionβs words had her imagination running wild. The blonde girl couldnβt help but think that there were other titans waiting for her there. Some, or all, of the siblings that Hyperion often told her about in outrageous stories that she could barely keep up with. As she approached the river she scanned the area through grey eyes, looking for something that stood out against the otherwise dull river.
As she looked her eyes were drawn to two very ordinary looking people standing on the bank. When she saw them it made her heart pound in her chest even harder than it had been, to the point where it almost hurt. βGo get βem kid.β Hyperionβs softly spoken words were all she needed to start towards the two people standing at the bank of the river. They were titan vessels.
As she got closer she could make out some details, one was a boy who looked her age wearing a scarf despite the warm weather, and the other looked like a girl in her high school years. As she got closer she watched in amazement as a few rocks began to float, as if gravity had gone haywire on them before they fell to the ground. At least one of them was one hundred percent a titan. Then, as if god had granted her a gift, she heard as the boy spoke to the girl. ββ¦ Do you happen to know anything about the Titans in the Greek myths, or more specifically, Mnemosyne?"
βOh my, you really are a titan!β She exclaimed excitedly as she approached them, her blonde hair in disarray and her chest heaving from the effort she exerted from running down the slope. Despite that though, she couldnβt keep the giant smile off her lips. She could feel Hyperion inside of her giddy with energy, he had waited so long to meet his siblings and could keep his energy contained.
Ice blue pigtails bounced as Ivanna, soul holder of Tethys, walked upon the bank of the Han River. In her hands she held age old painting materials: a folded wooden easel, a brown paper bag filled with assortments of paints and various size paintbrushes along with one lead pencil and a pad of paper, and a folded wooden stool. Blue eyes stared out at the river before her; the view in all honesty was a bit uninspiring compared to other things she'd seen. In fact, it could easily be labeled as boring in her eyes. But for some odd reason, she'd decided to paint it. Maybe it was because she secretly liked the way the water shined in the sunlight. Or perhaps because her mother once fantasized about seeing it. But it was probably because Tethys was being all too insistent about it. She'd been talking about the place for months. In fact, Tethys was the reason Vann decided to settle in Seoul of all places. The titan also mentioned Louisiana, but Seoul was more to Ivy's liking.
"Are you going to tell me why I'm here now?" The girl asked, hiking the paper bag further up her arm. "Mmmm, you'll see soon enough, my dear." What an annoyingly empty answer. Anna would've frowned if it weren't for the sudden onset of excitement, which she could only assume came from Tethys. Ivanna had little to no reason to be excited, and she was sure Tethys did not... Which only brought on the question; what could be waiting for her along the bank of this mundane river? As she scanned her brain for any possible explanations, she ended her search with few answers. And the only one that seemed remotely plausible was that there were titans somewhere along this path. Vann did not know what to think of this, as she was never very keen on looking for the others. Though it's not to say that she was planning to avoid them. No, it'd be interesting to meet them. People who understood her plight would provide a... curious conversation, and not to mention, outlook. Her lips pursed as she contemplated what they thought of this whole titan v.s the humans ordeal... Conflicting visions could end up very badly. But then again, it would definitely provoke a nice rush of adrenaline, being amidst all the fighting. Would it all end in fighting? She'd have to keep walking to find out. And keep walking she did.
It wasn't until Ivy's legs grew tired that she stopped. Instead of scouting for possible titan vessels (much to Tethys's displeasure) she set down her supplies and arranged them accordingly. After she unfolded her easel and stool, and set the pad of paper on the easel's stand, she took out her lead pencil. She sat on the stool and stared at the horizon for a few moments, before looking back at the paper and beginning to draw. Something told her that the others were very close, so she'd wait for them to come to her. Ivanna decided she'd start her painting while she waited, or at least start the sketch. She was at a nice spot, anyway. Why not?
As her mind and her eyes became more and more immersed in her drawing, the more the world around her became faded away. It wasn't until she heard the word titan that she was knocked out of her trance. "Oh my, you really are a titan!"
A sudden and strong wave of excitement washed over Vann as she laid eyes on three figures. "Gods, it's about time you saw them!" Tethys boomed. "You didn't even see the rocks hover! That was Rhea, don't you realize?" The titan's voice was loud enough to give Anna a headache. And because of that, she knew the excitement that had just punched her in the guts was definitely foreign. Or in other words, godly.
"I apologize if I am interrupting," Ivanna lied, sitting up from her stool and strolling over to the three titan vessels. "But did I hear someone say 'titan'?"

_____ "Oh, don't think I don't know about a human's many faults." The specific wars and cruelties he mentioned came to mind, as well as images of last night's headlines. "But aren't they simple reflections of what other gods have done? I dare you to tell me that wars amongst the divine didn't happen over something as petty as a flower." He stood from his perch and paced around the small area, commanding, practically demanding their attention. It was times like these that he felt thankful for his natural charisma. "I fucking dare you to tell me each and every atrocity you mentioned wasn't committed by a god in one way or other."
_____ He turned towards all of them, knowing how to carry himself with confidence and resolution. "I'm going to be blunt; you're all young. Impressionable." Blue-green eyes were uncharacteristically cold as he stared the younger members of the group down. "How much of your belief and resolution is your own opinion, and how much of it is the Titan's? Ask yourself that."
_____ "They're not one-sided, Chester. Humans. They're capable of great cruelty, but also great kindness. They're reflections of their creators." Wren would have a field day if he heard him talking like this. Speaking emotionally and patiently wasn't his forte; he usually kept the first part more or less to himself. That was just so uncool. "My human mother's a smart woman, as frustrating as she is. I love her just as much as Coeus loves Gaea. She has these quotes and words of wisdom that she relays to me every once in a while. For you, I'll give you one of personal my favorites. Revenge is human, forgiveness is divine."
_____ "Do I think they deserve to go unpunished? No, of course not." He idly kicked aside a loose rock. "But if you think everything will go to right after they're gone, then that's naivety speaking." His sigh was audible in the silence of the group, and the young model neared the crates he'd walked around only just moments before. Ten minutes with them and he was already beyond exhausted. "I'm done here. If you share what I think, then feel free to follow after me. But if you don't, then don't bother showing your face until you've changed your mind. Ciao." Without so much a backward glance, he walked away from the immediate vicinity, steeling himself to join the crowds that milled about.

Seoul, South Korea | Han River
Though Kiyota is almost convinced now that the girl in front of him right now is also a vessel for another Titan, due to the fact that his Titaness is literally screaming inside him that she was indeed one whose name is Mnemosyne. Though he doesn't overly trust Rhea, he couldn't find out a reason why she would be lying to him about this either. Besides, she was a Titaness and Kiyota is only a human who was chosen to be her vessel, it is obvious that she could tell things that he couldn't.
But listening to what the girl replied to him, there's a possibility that the Titan part inside of her hasn't awoken yet. If that really was the case, then perhaps it is better that Kiyota shouldn't dwell too much into the subject right now. Even though he can rest assure for now that he wasn't the only Titan whose accommodation is in Korea. He scratches the back of his head before replying to her other question with a rather unconvincing smile, "Nothing, actually. I was just looking for some special people who had some sort of... connection with me, even though I've never met them before. It sounds really weird, right? But sorry for troubling you. I hope that you'll be successful with your project. Have a nice day."
With that said, Kiyota was on the verge on turning his back and walk away already, but then again, Rhea stirred up once more and saying that besides from the girl, there are also other two Titans here. This surprised Kiyota to no end as he just stood completely stiff at where he was standing. And before he even know it, a girl with long, flowing blonde hair who was seemingly around his age suddenly spoke up, claiming that they were also Titans in a rather exciting manner as she approached both Kiyota and the girl. By the look of it, she's definitely a Titan - whose name stated by Rhea to be Hyperion.
But before Kiyota could even reacted by any means, another young girl with green hair also strolling up to where the trio was standing and asking if someone's just said the word 'titan', once again startled and surprised him. W-W-Wait, this is just too much to take in at once. Kiyota thought to himself with a surprise expression still ever present on his face. He was speechless and he couldn't say anything as he hasn't prepared himself mentally for this situation yet. And he believes that none of the girl does.
Staying silent for a short while, Kiyota finally mustered all of his courage and exhaled a deep breath before speaking up to the girls. "Okay, I know that this day will come, but this is just a bit too much." He said calmly, but on the inside, he was far from being calm, "So if I was thinking correctly, the three of you are also vessels of the Titans, right? Since everyone was being straightforward about it, I suppose there's no reason to hide anymore. I'm sure your inner voices have already told you what you need to know, anyway."
He then straightened himself up before introducing properly, "I am the vessel of Rhea, one of the Titans. But my human name is Kiyota Mikazuki. It's a pleasure to meet you all." He said before bowing respectfully to the girls.
The setting changes from Seoul to New Orleans
Youβve gotta be fucking kidding me right?β Adelaide looked at the young Titan with a look of scorn. There was absolutely no way she was going to destroy New Orleans. Sure there were a crapload of people that sucked ass in her opinion that didnβt mean they had the right to just eradicate the whole damn place of humans. There was just no way. That cold look in his eyes was almost unsettling. It was almost like looking into the maw of one of their many dangerous animals. All it wanted to do was bite your head off while you showed off to the crowd that you could wave your arm around its face and not get bit. At least the pretty boy was thinking similarly to her.
Adelaide scoffed at the idea that the kid thought he knew the reason they all met up. βI donβt know about you but since when did you fucking know why weβre all here? My reason for being here is my family not for your shitty mission you little brat.β The kid continued on as if killing hundreds of thousands was like watering down an ant hill for amusement. He introduced himself as Chester, the human who housed Coeus. Her pink hues darted to the other kid who accompanied Chester. By his words of hesitance she could tell that he wasnβt exactly on board with the idea. It even seemed he was entirely new to the idea.
The next person to introduce themselves was Gale. She didnβt seem fazed at all by Chesterβs words, making Adelaide a bit wary of the much smaller girl. The young girl housed Crius in her body but the performer didnβt really care much about who had who at this point. Finally pretty boy introduced himself as Rezu who had Thea in him and was also a model. βThat certainly explains a lot pretty boy.β Adelaide looked at him closely this time, taking note of those handsome features of his.
"Now that we're all acquainted by something other than Titan names, let's go back to Chester's previous statement." Adelaide nodded in agreement. Chesterβs idea of spending their family reunion was laughable and quite frankly sickening. "Whatever everyone else's plan is, I'm not agreeing to destroying an entire city. That's just plain fucked up." For once Adele listened to someone other than herself talk and she nodded along with his words. However when he gave her a look she glared at him, βWhat the hell did I do?β Suddenly a voice spoke up at the back of her head and bit her lip in anger. βOh shut up you old bugger.β She looked back at the rest of the group as if nothing happened.
The young woman was exactly expecting a huge ass speech from the kid but what a speech he gave. He sounded pretty damn self righteous as if his way was the only way. It certainly pissed her off which was why she stopped listening halfway through. Towards the end Adelaide couldnβt help but snicker at Chesterβs words, particularly the last part about humans only doing things that benefited themselves. βYouβve gotta be shitting me right. Benefit themselves? Every damn living being on this shitty planet does it. Do you think wolves hunt being careful not to take a mother from her babies. No they hunt the mother because it benefits them. She can fill their stomachs a lot better than a bunch of fucking babies.β
Then the notion of rejecting what they donβt know came to mind and she thought of her family and the circus. Those very words allowed her to give Chester a cold shoulder and not think even for a moment that sheβd join his ridiculous crusade of βjusticeβ. Her attention did settle on Rezu as he took up a confident stance and addressed the lot of them, including her. Adelaide was a bit irked by that but she didnβt say anything, at least not with words. Instead she glared at him for pushing her into the kiddies table. She agreed with almost every single word that fell from Rezuβs pretty lips. Adelaide herself has yet to experience the cruelty that Chester and Rezu spoke of. Her entire world was centered around what occurred within the tents. She honestly couldnβt give a rats ass about what happened outside of them. It wasnβt her problem until it arrived at her doorstep and when it does sheβll just kick it right in the ass.
"I'm done here. If you share what I think, then feel free to follow after me. But if you don't, then don't bother showing your face until you've changed your mind. Ciao." Again Adelaide snickered at Rezuβs show of leadership after comparing it to Chesterβs false facade. Pink orbs followed Rezu as he disappeared into the crowd and she knew sheβd have to meet him but there was no way she was about to follow him.
Turning her attention to the trio of brats, Adele smirked. βAnd here I thought youβd be a cute little brother. I donβt think I have to say that I agree with pretty boy over there.β She motioned to where Rezu had gone off to. Jumping down from her perch, Adelaide landed right in front of Chester and stood a bit close. She made use of her height as her entire figure loomed over him. The sweetness from before was completely gone and replaced but utter disgust and a savageness that would not falter. βI donβt give a fucking rats ass as to what people did to you Chester but I will say I pity them for having let you go. Unlike you I have a family, a very big one, that loves me for who I am, Titan and all. If you so much as go anywhere near them I will fucking kill you understand?β Her head tilted to the side briefly as she paused for effect.
Taking a step back from the white haired boy, Adelaide began to walk away. She did stop briefly to look over her shoulder, giving Chester a glare that could kill. It was further offset by the sickenly sweet smile on her lips. βAgain touch my family and Iβll kill you. Oh and please leave the circus area. Weβve no intention of hiding shitty brats that think theyβre entitled to something because they had shitting lives.β With that being said Adelaide walked away from the group.
It didnβt take her long to find Rezu. She knew the circus layout better than anyone. βSay whereβre you headed off to pretty boy? You can stay here if youβd like or do you have other places to be?β She stepped right in front him, seemingly coming out of nowhere. For the briefest of moments her thoughts wandered to Castiel and Gale. If such an innocent looking kid was capable of having such thoughts then who was to say they didn't agree with Chester. It would mean they were already at a disadvantage, even if they were just kids.
The setting changes from Earth to New Orleans
"Siblings? I have more in common with humans than you." The words hurt more than Chester would have liked to admit. Rezu was nothing short of despicable in his eyes, yet to hear that he did not feel the level of closeness that Chester still felt towards him was undeniably heart wrenching. Coeus did not speak to Chester, all the boy had to work with were images of unworldly things and vague feelings and instincts to act on. The pull towards Thea inside of the model was permanent and unshakable, and despite the growing anger in side of him the boy still had to fight the pinprick feeling behind his eyes as Thea refused him.
As he continued to challenge Chester the boy had to continue to push down the growing sadness inside of him. It burned in the pit of his stomach like flames and with every blink and clench of his fist he smothered the feelings until his eyes were blank with apathy. The titan inside of him loved his siblings, even if Thea was going astray, and Chester couldnβt allow himself to have his goals shaken by her abandonment of the cause. Rezu spoke poetically, and convincingly like a leader should, but his words did not resonate inside the white haired boy. Even when Cronusβs vessel opposed him, with a fouler mouth than Theaβs, it didnβt cause him to flinch.
βMy opinion is my titanβs and our alignment in ideals makes me all the more stronger.β It was true, Coeus was willing to supply him power because he was loyal to the titanβs cause. Although the titan had never spoken to him the visions he was shown gave insight into his potential with his magnetism and the use of electricity in his body had amplified is abilities tenfold. But, despite the anger boiling in his stomach Rezu still spoke with reason and understanding, and although he hated it, the urge to kill him was not strong enough to act upon. It was Cronusβs vessel he was having trouble dealing with, she was rude and immature at best.
ββ¦ Every damn living being on this shitty planet does it.β The use of vulgarity to describe Gaea sent a surge of adrenaline through his veins that literally seized his muscles. The anger that had remained at a steady boil since Rezu started talking surged through him like an erupting volcano, it was Coeusβs anger and Chester felt the bloodlust consume him in a palpable wave. His heart felt so heavy in his chest that each rapid beat felt painful and it almost seemed as if the entire world around him was vibrating.
Even as she continued on her own tirade, dismissing his past while bragging about how great of a life she had, he couldnβt bring himself to care about it. All he could see was spoiled brat, loved by humans, and in no way worthy of consideration as anything more than that. She appeared so human to him that killing her didnβt weigh on Coeusβs conscious inside his body. Cronus was a capable god, and no doubt could he return in a vessel more suitable to the cause. This one was clearly no good.
βI should kill you right now.β His voice rumbled in a growl and he weighed the possibility of being able to kill Cronusβs vessel. From the way the conversation had been going with Rezu it seemed doubtful that any of the vessels had ever used their titan powers to kill before. Chester had used all the variations of his power to kill humans before, and no doubt he could take down the woman that stood before him. As his magnetic field aligned the small metals bits around them began to pull towards the boy. The iron stakes resistant from their firm place in the ground, and the nails in the crates groaning in protest from being pulled from their places in the wood strained towards him, and as the two adults began to walk away he forced himself to disperse the strong field. The boy couldnβt risk scaring Castiel away, but he wanted to dispose of Cronusβs vessel before she grew accustom to using her power lethally, if that were to ever happen.
The boy produced the handheld tazer from his pocket. A zap from that would send him into electromagnetism, his most powerful state, but the burden placed on his body from using it was tremendous. Plus, the electrocution messed up his mind a lot, and the more often he used it the worse he was at controlling his temper, the boy barely had a grip on it as it was. He turned towards Cas and Gale.
βI didnβt mean to almost lose control back there, but Cronusβs vessel it no good.β Gale was surely on his side, and he turned to Cas as the light returned to his eyes.
βSurely, you wonβt leave me, right Cas?β Trying to pull a guilt trip on the other boy did make Chester feel a little guilty himself, but at this point he was desperate for vessels who would stay on his side.
The setting changes from New Orleans to Seoul
Unlike these folks, the dominant personality within them was that of the Titan, Oceanus. Perhaps it was how early she had awoken and quickly became in-tune with her past life. Perhaps it was the human's passiveness that was allowing the Titan to explore the world through her eyes. Needless to say, her position was clearly different than the others. But the human in her couldn't help but be amused by the whole situation.
"Now that we're in Korea, where are we going to go next, Mister Oceanus?" The soft voice of the human girl spoke to her Titan from within their shared mind. How strange Oceanus found it that a human would willingly share her body in this way. It was as if she was in the passenger seat of her own body.
"Hmm... I do believe I want to visit the Han River." Crisp ocean air filled the Titan's lungs as they got off of their boat, providing a somehow nostalgic and completely new feeling to her. "It has been quite a while since I had been able to check upon the spirits of my children in the world... and the Han River has always been important to the humans of this area. I wish to revisit. For old time's sake."
It was as simple a decision as that. To think that it would lead to a reunion with some of the others. She approached the three teens, all seeming to be the same age as her, more or less. Looking all of them over, it was hard to tell just by looking which Titan dwelled within their vessels... though the same could be said for herself. Waving a hand over her very light purple shirt and black shorts, the water that once coated her body seemed to glide off with ease and leave her once-translucent clothing now fresh and dry. If they truly were Titans, there was no need to hide her gift. And if they weren't, well... who would believe them if they tried talking about that little trick? "Forgive me just intruding on your conversation, brothers and sisters, but I was actually looking forward to seeing you all once more." With a slight bow, she rose and waved slightly. "How the hell've you all been, anyway?" Her dialect suddenly took a shift with that greeting as her smile widened. They all didn't seem to have their Titan be the dominant personality like Suijin did... but it was all well and good.
"I am the Titan Oceanus, reborn in the body of a Japanese girl named Suijin Aoimura. I go by her name now. Good to meet you all. Or see you all again. Whichever you all prefer." She laughs into her hand and lets out a soft sigh. "I wonder why some of you haven't awoken yet, though, while I have... Perhaps because the Olympians left me be and did not imprison me? Hm.." She shrugged in thought as she tried to match up Titan names to faces, but no real avail. At least Rhea introduced herself. And one other eluded to Mnemosyne... If only one would reveal themselves as Tethys. That would be the most pleasant reunion... but alas, all things in time. She seemed pretty amused by it all, but rather... uncomfortable at the same time. "Y'know. I really don't know whether to be addressing your human selves or your Titans. Your situations all seem... different from ours at the very least."
Mnemosyne || Mind/Memory Reading || #38ACEC ||
- "Ah of course," she nodded, "everyone wants to know about Greek mythos these days."
He was really a sort of candid guy wasn't he? You can't blame a vessel for being wary, someone chuckled, not everyone has had an easy road as you have.
Oh you're here again. Care to chime in?
βOh my, you really are a titan!β
"I apologize if I am interrupting, but did I hear someone say 'titan'?"
"So it seems my gut feeling was correct. There are others here."
In reality everyone was ridiculously candid. At the very sound of the word "titan", three Titans gathered with their
Hyun supposed that it had to be the case since she could hear all of their mental mumbling. Hyun had gotten skilled at exercising Mnemosyne's ability without having her butt her head in so she managed to tag everyone's thought styles within seconds of their speech and only managed a sigh. Rhea rumbled inside of the photographer, constantly prodding him like a nagging mother while Hyperion leaked excitement (like a dog the voice would laugh). In truth, the titaness very rarely contacted her and if she did, it was just for some warnings or to give her ideas so Hyun honestly regarded her as less of a person and more of a dying entity. That was basically what was happening wasn't it? She didn't even give the Korean girl a name so much as a feeling. Still, she could draw conclusions, she was a smart girl. Rhea was screaming "Mnemosyne" after all.
"Okay well I didn't know about any of this so news to me," she said flatly after Kiyoto and Oceanus finished their introductions, "Hyun Ji Park and...Mnemosyne I guess."
Castiel could feel Themis panicking quietly inside him as Rezu opposed Chester, his heartbeat racing with hers. It was going too fast for both their liking. Their siblings were opposing each other directly, they were almost fighting! It was making Themis extremely upset, and it was rather understandable. She was the goddess of common consent and order, and now even her siblings were not united. What has years apart done to their family? The feeling welling inside him was a feeling of heavy despair, to the point where Castiel could almost find his eyes filling with tears. Hey! Donβt embarrass me in public again! He ignored the others temporarily snapping at the being inside him to keep herself under control. Themis was usually cheerful, but her lower moods were more vivid to him, more influencing on his own body. Iβm sorry. But my siblings, theyβre fighting again. Weβ¦ We were supposed to be united. We could have all agreed on somethingβ¦ Themis was currently emotionally drained, no doubt about it, but this was not the time for that. Right now he could only see how the conflict turns out.
He tensed up as Adelaide approached Chester with the most unworldly expression he had ever since on a human face. Oh it's looking bad! Castiel this is your chance to escape if you want to. That girl is scary, isn't she? Maybe she just might eat you, who knows? Castiel took a quick step back as the girl's face seemed to contort into something from his worst nightmares. One of hatred and disgust, something that Castiel found terrible yet fascinating at the same time. It was the first time he had seen such a vivid display of emotion, considering the only people he had usually met were business partners of his father that usually had a cool facade much like the one he himself did his best to keep. That facade however, was melting away slowly much to his horror. His mind hurt, his eye throbbing steadily didnβt do much to help matters. The voices outside slowly faded to a buzz as the emotions of doubted waged destruction in his mind.
Themis. Do you want to punish humanity? His simply ignored the others as they rambled on and on about justice and the human race. Those topics never did interest him that much, he knows where he stood with his opinions. Humans were terrible creatures, and he was ashamed to be one of them. Though one cannot say that the Titans were better, and there was no denying his human race, his family and his attachment to them. His eyes were tightly shut for that instant, thoughts reaching out toward the ancient goddess that shared his body. She was a close friend too, she kept him out of danger all his life. Her advice might not be exactly dependable, but she was all he had. What was he to do? He couldn't possibly ask anyone else. I don't know either. My sister needs me, doesn't she? She was so happy when we met, I was happy too. And that boy needs your help too, Castiel. About humankind... Chester is right, you know. You know what they had done to Mother, and you know what they are doing is wrong. Youβre not living in ignorance now, Castiel. But! Her voice changed in tone, becoming more optimistic as if she could sense the troubled expression on Castiel's face. I won't blame you no matter what you decide, I'll still do my best to protect you. Maybe I am influencing you, who knows? I'm not as good as mind tricks as you are. Still, take a stand, won't you? Enjoy life! You're still a baby. Chewing thoughtfully on the inside of his cheek, he raised his eyes just in time to catch the finishing lines of Adelaideβs little speech.
βAgain touch my family and Iβll kill you. Oh and please leave the circus area. Weβve no intention of hiding shitty brats that think theyβre entitled to something because they had shitting lives.β What foul language. Castiel curled his lip in distaste at her words, unused to such vulgarities spewing from her mouth. Heaven knows how bad her full speech would be like. Themis was probably going to quiz him on swear words later, something that he found quite irritating as of late, especially when he had to explain what βfuckingβ meant later on. He wasnβt looking forward to that. Thankfully, after whatever she had been talking about, she left after the boy who rejected Chesterβs initial plan. It would be the best to assume that she had agreed with his opinions and joined his side in defending humankind. The feeling in him now was one of dismay, but yet again he was unsure if that was only on Themisβs end of the spectrum. Well, so much for their little reunion.
He was ready to leave this situation when he heard Chester growl a death threat, and immediately the metal stakes in their vicinity started to shake and lift from the ground. Surely he wasnβt serious. Castiel shot a worried glance at him, but the magnetism soon vanished as quickly as it came. But the next thing he did was produce a tazer, something that made Castiel reconsider the situation once again. βI didnβt mean to almost lose control back there, but Cronusβs vessel it no good.β He could do nothing but nod. He was dying to know just what exactly was going in Chesterβs head, but using his powers now was impolite.
βSurely, you wonβt leave me, right Cas?β
"I..." Again, that deadly hesitance. He couldn't abandon his family. Both families were his, both sides were a part of him. Castiel wasn't on either side, he was suspended on the fine line of indecision and he hated it. Even Cronos was jointing the humans, out of his own will or not. Chances are, it's not a high chance that the Titans would win this one, destroying the human race. Not to mention that he did have a family to protect. Now he had two, and he needed to choose between them, the mere possibility that he has been running from all his life, from all the visions shown to him, the urging voice of Themis in his head.
"Sure." With a quiet, almost resigned voice, Castiel agreed. It wasn't his life's goal to do this, but for now, he will stick with the side he trusts the most.
Kumiko was more than surprised when even more vessels started appearing one after another. The next to arrive after her had shocking blue hair what Kumiko absolutely adored. Her expression mirrored that of awe when the blue haired girl first spoke. Inside of her Hyperion was giddy with the actuality of their reunion. If Kumiko were to be honest she had never had a lot of hope of even finding one of the other vessels, she travelled around the world now, sure, but the world was incredibly vast. Billions upon billions of people inhabited the world and with only twelve of those billion people being titan holders the blonde girl had been reserved about finding even one.
When the last to arrive, Suijin, was the strangest of the small group. She had seemingly emerged from the water, and when she started speaking it visibly startled the girl. She was aware that the language being spoken was not one of the three she already knew, but despite that she still knew what the woman was saying. Hyperion was in her head, mumbling about the old language. It didnβt sound like anything humans used to communicate; it was a lot more primal, maybe even celestial, yet Kumiko found she understood what Suijin was saying. It was kind of exciting.
When everyone started introducing themselves Kumiko felt slightly overwhelmed. The boy had started the introductions, his name was something very Japanese, he looked Japanese too so that made sense. Mikazuki something, it started with a K sound. Kitoya maybe? He had just said it and she didnβt want to be rude by asking, it would be embarrassing to say she couldnβt remember his name after him just saying it. What she did get was that he housed Rhea, which meant nothing to Kumiko, she relied on Hyperion for all her titan based information. βRhea is the titaness of order and flow. She also birthed many of the Olympian gods.β Ko hummed to herself and eyed up the scarf clad boy. He looked just as overwhelmed by the sudden gathering of titans as she did.
The woman that appeared from the water introduced herself next, and she was nearly frightening. She seemed on a whole new level of closeness with her titan, and it was unnerving because she looked like a real god with the way she carried herself. Her powers seemed strong, probably from being so close to her titan half, and it was more than unnerving to Kumiko. Suijin had an air of superiority to her that Kumiko found she didnβt want to oppose and she didnβt really like it. The blonde girl was more then happy when the only person that actually looked Korean started speaking, taking the attention away from the woman.
Her name was Hyun Ji Park and although Kumiko tried her best to me bubbly and happy interacting with so many other people at once was still hard. At least Mnemosyneβs vessel seemed easy to talk to. She looked towards the shorthaired girl and gave her a bright smile, she wasnβt exactly sure who Mnemosyne was though, her name was ridiculous. Kumiko, try not to be closed-minded, my siblings are millenniums in age. And Mnemosyne is the Titaness of memory.
Hyperion scolded her gently, with the same tone parents took to their toddlers and Kumiko had to suppress the urge to roll her eyes. Her heart had finally calmed down from the initial meeting and Hyperion seemed to have wrapped in his own excitement in so it didnβt leak into her own demeanor, and as she looked around it seemed the rest of the group was starting to calm down from the initial meeting. Clearing her throat the blond girl attempted to draw attention to herself.
βUm, My name is Kumiko Takazawa, Hyperion has been with me since I was young, and I am a professional violinist! I usually live in Japan, but Iβm on a world tour!β She held up her fingers in a peace sign and gave everyone a big smile. Friendliness was key to making a good first impression on others.
The setting changes from Seoul to New Orleans
It was when the ugly one started speaking out against Gale's ideals, which she happened to share with Chester, that she noticed her clenched fists were now red. It was when he started defending murderers, when he started defending selfish, cruel, inconsiderate, and greedy human beings that she felt her body stiffen. It was then she tried to wash away the sour taste that held her hostage. But no, it didn't wash away. It only grew with every word Rezu added in order to coddle his gratuitous speech. This... rancid taste spread like ivy, until it tainted her very being with a mix of disgust enmity. Her lips curled into that of a snarl and her attitude darkened. If you looked closely, you could see the unmistakable concentration of anger that eradicated the once ambitious yet energetic spark in her eyes.
Gale was... beyond mad. She was beyond angry beyond outraged, and beyond furious! Her rage combined with that of Crius's could only be described as godly. It was miracle that she wasn't bursting into flames this very instant, though that'd probably be another story if she housed Hyperion. Or at least, she would guess so from the way the wind was picking up. What was a slight breeze had turned into an onslaught of aggressive winds. With every second the wind's intensity grew, and Gale feared that if Rezu's nonsense went on any longer it'd turn into a gale. "How much of your belief and resolution is your own opinion, and how much of it is the Titan's?"
Nonsense.
That word stuck in her mind for a while. The wind stop stirring quite violently; now it was more of a rough breeze. Was all he was saying... nonsense? "Ask yourself that."
She did. She asked herself that every day. Was it Crius or Gale? Was it Crius or Gale who was in charge? She even asked herself that on the way here. Her emotions, even the anger she felt now, it was never her own. It always seemed to be mutated, compromised... Gale's mood always seemed to switch with Crius's. Surely it was possible that Gale's opinion switched with his, too, but... no.
"Nonsense!" She growled. Gale lied to herself when she decided she'd said that in order to convince the others. Her opinion was her own! Crius and her agreed, that was all! She spent years of her life looking into humans, trying to reach out to them and being punched in return. She spent those years of her life because she believed in the people around her, she believed in that false kindness! If Crius had some kind... some kind of control over her, then she would've agreed with him immediately, right? Of course. Gale's thoughts were her own, and she--- she knew this. At this point the wind had died down by a lot, as now it was the same small breeze from before. After a deep breath, Gale decided that her anger had seen its worst.
"...on this shitty planet..." They say it takes but a few words to set Gale off. Whatever possessed Adele to say such a thing, Gale could not imagine. Nor could she imagine the deformities the woman would have when Gale was done with her. Gaea was the primary reason Gale was on the titan's side. Humans were a secondary matter. The world's welfare was what caused Gale to consider the value of humans. The fact that they didn't give a rat's ass about Mother and the creatures inhabiting this planet was what convinced Gale they were better off dead. So when someone insulted Gaea... A titan vessel, no less, Gale started to get... angry. And the nerve! That the woman chose such... ribald words to describe such a beautiful sight! Adelaide had no right to say such boorish things about Gaea! Had she ever seen the beauty of dawn, as its colors painted the sky and blessed the horizon? Had she ever climbed to the highest hills and basked in the sunlight, felt the grass on her feet, and breathed in the fresh air? Of course not; she would never bother. She was blind. She was like all the other humans. She was cold. She was nothing.
The wind was stirring again; but the start was more abrupt this time, and it wasn't going to die down. As the trash walked away, she couldn't help but glance over at Chester and Castiel. The two C's. Her eyes glazed over Chester as he mentioned his mistake in losing control. She took a moment to sort out what happened, as she'd been so caught up in her anger that she wasn't registering the world around her. And nor was she now. As soon as Chester turned to Castiel, Gale turned away. She was still fuming, and she'd rather they not see. No, Gale never liked being angry. Nor did she like showing anger. All it did was support the false statement that she was nothing more than her father. She'd never be her father. No, she lived to oppose people like him. And the people who dared to compare them on any level!
The wind took a violent turn as Gale thrust a strong axe kick toward a nearby crate. The impact generated a loud thud and the slightest bit of relief for the girl in distress. "Well, it's three against two. That's gotta give us some kind of advantage, right?" She mumbled, assuming Castiel was with them due to his lack of leaving. Though something about the apprehension in his stance told her that he wasn't exactly sure about his place in everything. But surely that could be fixed. "Can the both of you fight? Um, actually, nevermind that. Before we do or decide anything we should get somewhere better than this. I can't stand this stupid circus, with all the stupid smoking and humans and..." She cut off her sentence with a sigh.
[OOC] "...Gale feared that if Rezu's nonsense went on any longer, then it'd turn into a gale." <--- I have been dying to use that pun since I first created Gale. The satisfaction is real.
Ivanna examined the titans around her in silence as she fiddled with the lead pencil in hand. At that moment in time there were three others, each different from the last. The blonde one was the first to catch her attention, perhaps due to her lighter color scheme or the look of awe painted across her features. Ivy couldn't quite figure out why she was awe-stricken, but she returned the look with a small smile. The next person who caught her attention was a skinny girl with short, brown hair. Just as Ivanna turned to examine the one male, another voice caught her attention. Another titan, by the sounds of it.
Vann's ice blue eyes landed on yet another girl with white eyes and jet black hair. The woman introduced herself as the mind of Oceanus, inside a girl named Suijin Aoimura. At the mention of Oceanus Anna felt Tethys begin to stir. That same excitement began taking over again, and Ivanna couldn't help but let out a short giggle, much to her displeasure. Stop it, the girl thought, shifting uncomfortably. She absolutely hated it when Tethys took over like that. Whether it be through emotions or actions, it was always disturbing to know that her body wasn't completely... hers.
The subject quickly dissipated as the only male of the group introduced himself as Kiyota, soul holder of Rhea (who must have been behind the hovering rocks.) Next was Hyun Ji Park, the taller female along with Mys... Mnys.. Mnemosyne? Ivanna blinked a few times as she tried to recall the titan's power. Something with the mind, yes? No, no, that was Themis. Mnemosyne was... something to do with mind and memory, yes? Yes. Ivy would leave it at that for now.
A clearing of a throat brought the blue haired girl's attention to expert violinist Kumiko Takazawa. The mention of her name rang a small bell in Ivanna's mind; she vaguely remembered listening to one of her pieces. They were unique, brash even, yet intriguing at the same time. She'd have to remember to give the girl a compliment once all the introductions were over. Speaking of introductions... It was about time these titans knew her name. And, of course, her titan.
"I am with the titan Tethys. My name is Ivanna Elliot, but most call me Ivy. It is..." She paused for a moment, cherry picking her words. "An interesting occurrence to meet you all. Especially this suddenly." The last part was more abrupt than she'd meant it to be. But she supposed the sentence fragment held too much truth to be suppressed. To meet four other titans at the same time, at the same place was definitely an interesting occurrence. And not to mention, an overwhelming one. She had not expected this, and while surprises were always appreciated in her book, some surprises were better than others. This surprise was not one of the better ones, no, but one that was laced with apprehension and was, in fact, an extremely fragile canvas. Pick the wrong paint and find your picture stained forever, harder to fix, and possibly cast into the abyss that is defeat; ugliness. Yes, this situation had to be approached with delicacy. There was no telling what the others thought of this war the titans were looking to wage upon the humans.
"Human annihilation." Tethys mumbled. "It's a touchy subject, isn't it? Approach it with care, Ivanna. I know that you don't know where you stand... So don't make any rash decisions. Not without your own consent, at least." Vann's eyes locked on the ground. The fighting that was bound to happen was sure to get the best of her; the adrenaline was sure to take hold... and Ivanna knew she'd do anything to keep it flowing... and if she was desperate... it might be against reason.
"...Of course not." After clearing her throat, she looked to the others with the slightest of smiles. "Well then. Now that matters of courtesy are behind us, I suppose we should get the point. I assume we all know of the... matter at hand, and I must ask where everyone stands. I will start." Ivanna took a deep breath. "I'm not sure which side I'm on. However, if I'm to be frank I will say that I am leaning toward... toward the titan side, but I do not hold this position with much confidence."

_____ Rezu stepped around her and continued his merry way, trying to avoid bumping into more people. The woman simply fell into step with him. Was she actually following him as per what he said? "Back to my hotel room, where else?" The reply was as dry as they came. "I hate these kinds of... things." A delicate hand waved in gesture towards the crowds that milled about them. "I got dragged here by a friend; no offense to you or your troupe, I just hate noisy places. I'd probably appreciate the show with less people." He adjusted the sleeves of his shirt, rolling them up to the correct height. At some point between arriving and the meeting with the other Titans, they'd come undone.
_____ Don't you think you said too much? He felt rather than heard Thea pace the floor of his conscious, the familiar pace dulling his irritation. After two decades with the Titaness, she'd become a familiar, if not exactly welcome entity in his mind. The internal conversation continued as he smoothed the wrinkles of his shirt, then running his fingers through his hair like it was practiced routine. Did you think those kids would've listened to something more reasonable? He heard the dejection and resigned agreement in Thea. ... No, you're right. They're beyond reason at this point.
_____ When he was done nitpicking with his appearance, he continued. "Don't tell me you actually agreed with the shit I was spewing just earlier?" A well-kept eyebrow raised in question, looking briefly at Adelaide beside him. When he opened his mouth to speak once again, blue-green eyes looked ahead of him, not wanting to cause an accident with his lack of attention. "I don't even remember half what I said. I just know that death is usually a bad thing, and killing as a conscious act rather than as a necessary means of survival is even worse."
βHaiku! Look, there it is!β Amanda hung off her arm like a toddler. Not so like a child, her breasts thumped up and down in her excitement as the blonde jiggled and bopped up and down. Haiku flashed her a shy smile, only half listening. Amanda was coming in and out of focus. A vision was pressing past her subconscious. Not nowβ¦ pleaseβ¦ βCome ON, Haiku! Letβs go, letβs go! I want to be one of the first oneβs in!β Amanda was dragging her by the arm through their group of classmates, pushing through the mob that had formed just outside the bus doors. Mr. Peterson was giving the βbuddy systemβ speech at the front of the line.
As soon as Amanda allowed her to come to a complete stop, an image flashed across her memory. βMaybe they just think youβre cute?β The boyβs voice is unfamiliar, just as unfamiliar as his face. The next is a friendly looking face, equally unfamiliar. A name tag. Garen.
βMeet us back here by then. Alright. Letβs go!β Came Mr. Petersonβs voice from the front, bringing her back into the present, waking world. Blinking, she shakes her head to rid herself of the lingering vision and proceeds forward with her class.
As they stood in line, another vision washed over her. They had never come so close, and so frequently before, and it was leaving her feeling dizzy and nauseous. A man dancing alone in a spotlight. From seemingly nowhere, a woman joins him. She is graceful as any feline, with a body long trained and toned to her art. She meets the male at every turn. Where he is light, she is darkness. Like a shadow, only revealed by the glimmering wave-like effect of her outfit. The vision changes, and suddenly Haiku looks on as though she were the dancer, seeing a flashing light in the crowd. The vision changes, to a tiger prowling behind bars. Her focal point is shifted, putting her inside the beast where she has just a glimpse of the dancer girl, sitting on a crate to the left of the tigerβs cage.
βTicket please.β Haiku snaps out of her vision in an innocent blink of confusion as her hues rise to meet the nametag that rests at eye-level to her short stature. Garen. Blue eyes travel further up to find a friendly, smiling face. She wordlessly hands over her ticket.
βMy name is Chester Calico.β The voice sounds like itβs in her ear, causing her to turn just slightly. Sheβs met with only Amandaβs goofy grin, and a tug to her arm as she is drug further into the circus. The big top loomed in the distance, accented by men on boxes with cones placed to their lips as they called out invite to the next event. A dance act. βSo spectacular, you must SEE TO BELIEVE! Come one, COME ALL!β Their voices bellow over the crowd.
In short time, Haiku finds herself sat among the crowd, witnessing a dance she had already seen once before, only this time it was real. Phoebe was fully at attention now. The hum of her siblings coursed through the blood of her unsuspecting host, making Haiku nauseous and Phoebe empowered. It is time. Haiku flinches on instinct, though voices in her mind should be familiar by now. This was is different. Dark. Feminine. Creepy. Before Haiku can open her mouth to ask Amanda about seeing the next show, she suddenly feels cast into darkness. The feeling is something akin to drowning as her vision and other senses abandon her to a numbed state.
She tries to flail her arms, but instead she feels nothing. There is only emptiness where her limbs used to be. Slowly, sound begins to creep in. She hears herself telling Amanda that she needs to go to the bathroom. Panic bubbles inside. Was this a vision? Theyβve never felt like this beforeβ¦
The titaness weaved her way through the crowd, trying her best not to grimace at the awkwardness of her host. She was no more than a child, really, this Haiku. She was nearly all knees and elbows, with long limbs and a nearly-flat chest. More like a child than a young woman of 17. It was one thing to quietly sit back in her adolescent mind, but to walk around in such a frail comparison of what she once wasβ¦
She is torn from her thoughts as a vision presses at her temple. Inviting it in, she turns to look without seeing. βI said myself. Go on ahead. Don't waste time dallying here if you don't want to be alone. You better start now if you want to find someone before midnightβ¦. Rezu Sonovaβ¦. Weβre not the only ones here, are we?β
Coming back to βherselfβ, she looks to her left. A girl barrels through the departing crowdβright into a man with a very flustered looking body-guard. A vision of a scrawny, young boy flashes across her thoughtsβhand in hand with a taller figure as they departed the tent. The visions were coming faster now, closer together. If she were Haiku, she would be hopelessly confused about what was present-time and what was future. Luckily, she was no mundane teenager.
Just then, the βmundane teenagerβ managed to rip the uninvited soul out of control. Phoebe is unprepared for the strength of her host and is left reeling when she lands in the back of Haikuβs mind.
When she comes to her senses, sheβs just outside of the big top, being pushed in the vague direction of the Bearded Ladyβs tent. She manages to stumble out of the flow of human traffic just in time to spew the bagel and orange juice she had that morning into the grass behind a cotton candy stand. A shaky hand moves to the nearest object- a trash can that she just missed. Oops.
Her head throbbed so hard she wondered if her ears would bleed from the pressure therein. βIβm Adelaide by the way but Iβve got Cronos. My name is Chester Calico, Iβm twelve, and Coeus resides inside of me. My name is Castiel Starr, and I am in possession of Themis. Iβm thirteen. I'm Gale... Pepperman. Gale Pepperman. I've got Crius, and Iβm fourteen. Rezu Sonova, twenty-one. Model by profession.β
βSTOP!β Her outburst draws the eyes of a family with two small kids eating cotton candy, but she doesnβt notice as she places her shaking hands to her forehead. Her mouth felt impossibly dry, despite being revisited by her breakfast just moments ago. With determined foot steps, she pushed her way through the crowd back to the activity bus. Just her luck, it was locked, but that doesnβt stop her from slinking down to the asphalt by one of the rear tires on the shady side of the bus. Her head was spinning. Whatβs happening to me?
β "I'm done here. If you share what I think, then feel free to follow after me. But if you don't, then don't bother showing your face until you've changed your mind. Ciao." Another unfamiliar voice whispers against her ear, making her stomach turn over again. She just wanted to go back to her hotel and have a hot cup of tea. Tea sounded lovely. She forced herself to look up, back toward the big top. Amanda would be filing out of the big top with the rest of the masses pretty soon.
βI will fucking kill you understand?β came one voice, bitter and feminine. βI should kill you right now.β Mumbled, male. βWell, it's three against two.β
Tears began to swell in her eyes as she lowered her forehead down to her knees. Phoebe was getting and understanding much more of the vision than her host. The others had met, and already there was a divide. Two of them lost souls, who had allowed their host to sway their alliance. Her host was stronger than anticipated. Much stronger. It could be a problem.
Haiku was puking again, and in her moment of weakness, Phoebe struck againβthis time, with more force. Haiku was sent into darkness again, leaving the titaness in full control.
Pulling at the invisible strings of time, Phoebe summoned another visionβ¦ she needed to find out how much time had passed between her being out of control and now. "Don't tell me you actually agreed with the shit I was spewing just earlier?" The model-looking male with the acrobat in tow pushed his way through a crowd, focusing his attention on the lovely dancer. He passed by the bearded ladyβs stand and looked forward again, to mind that he wasnβt about to hit someone. Perfect.
Picking her host up, she brushed the bits of asphalt from her hands and skirt and made a bee line for the circus once again. She had a little bit of time. If her calculations were correct, the group was just now meeting up to have a go at each other. She didnβt need to find the others. They were already on the right side. These two on the other handβ¦
She waited patiently by the candy apple stand, borrowed blue eyes scanning the crowd. Right on cue, the pair came storming into view. ββ¦.means of survival is even worse." Just as he made to turn his head forward again, Phoebe jolted herself forward- directly into his path. Haikuβs slender 17-year-old body was nothing in comparison to the broad shoulders that Rezu sported. Displaying her best dazed and confused face, Phoebe quickly made to right her hostβs form, spewing apologies as Haiku would have. βOH! Iβm sorry! Iβm so sorry, I wasnβt looking where I wasβ¦ goingβ¦β She trails off as she looks between Rezuβs face and Adelaideβs. βHey, youβre that dancer from earlier!β Her perfect depiction of Haikuβs innocent chirpy voice made her skin crawl.
βYou dance beautifully!β Her voice drops into a lower octave and she straightens herself, shifting before their eyes from a frightened, insecure ginger to a woman beyond the years of her current form. Her eyes darken just slightly with the weight of memories years beyond even her own. βTime has set us free.β Her attention shifts between the two of them, a small, warm smile lifting her features. Despite her anger at them for being so stupid and quick to abandon their mother, they were still her kin... and it had been such a very longβ¦ long time.
βAdelaideβ¦ keeper of my brother, Cronos.β Her smile grows a little warmer, keeping itβs mirth as she turns it to the tall model at Adelβs side. βRezu Sonova. I have not seen who you keep of my family.β Her smile fades, replaced by a look of slight confusion. Itβs not often she doesnβt know something. βYou have had a fight with the others?β Her eyes narrow in question, glancing between the two of them. βWhat have they done now?β A playful smile lifts the corners of her lips. They were titans, after allβ¦ one could not exactly expect them to beβ¦ wellβ¦ behaved.
A light trickle of liquid draws her attention away from them, and to her upper lip, just under her nose. Frowning, she reaches to wipe away the assumed sinus drainage. Damn Haiku and her allergβupon looking, it is not mucus at all. Itβs vibrant and red in color. Blood. She was bleeding. Inside, Haiku was clawing for control, and it was taking a toll. She wipes away the blood against her other fingers and sucks air through her nose to clear the passage from bleeding further. Painting on a smile she playfully gestures around. βWhere are my manners? This form is Haiku... I am Phoebe.β
Seoul, South Korea | Han River
After his little introduction, Kiyota straightened himself up while waiting for the other girls to properly introduce themselves, too. He couldn't help but wondering why was he the only male vessel around here. It's not like that he minded that much but it makes him a little... stand-off, to say. Despite that, Kiyota couldn't help but having a nagged feelings that he was a rather normal individual, in comparison to the ladies in front of him right then. Though as much as he wanted to see this as a special and intimating reunion, the feeling is nothing different from when he first came across with a Titan years ago - which almost costs him his life. Am I going to put my life on a jeopardy line this time too? Shaking his head at the thought, he shouldn't say that out loud.
Rhea is still squeaking in an exciting way in his mind, though of course, she still retained a certain amount of calmness while acting all motherly-like - as she said. Apparently she was really thrilled to have met her siblings again after such a long time that Kiyota couldn't possibly think of because it is way beyond human comprehension.
Then, just moments after that, another Titan's vessel appeared, startled Kiyota once again. Turning his back to face the Titan known as Oceanus, Kiyota couldn't help but raised an eyebrow on how... special this person was. The Titan's vessel is just a normal girl like the other three girls around him right here, but what intrigued him was how eager she was to use her powers openly in the middle of the public like this. While it's true that his own power did get a little haywire earlier, there's nothing to worried as it's only a few rock. But luckily that at that moment, there weren't many people rather than them.
The girl then went on introducing herself, but the way she talked is quite informal, despite them meeting for the first time ever - as vessels, apparently. Looks like she's also a Japanese whose name was Suijin Aoimura, though it is correct that she's indeed the one who harbored Oceanus. And more than that, maybe she was acknowledging them as the Titans, rather than by their humans' identities. Kiyota could felt a strong presence of the Titan within the girl, which is completely different from him. It almost feels as if he was facing with the Titan himself but not the girl. Kind of a mind blow, isn't it?
After the arrival of Suijin and her introduction, the other girls also began to introduce themselves. The first one to do so was the girl whom he first encountered known as Hyun Ji Park and the vessel of Mnemosyne, as Rhea told Kiyota so. He doesn't really know how to feel about her. She doesn't seem to stand out and it looks like she's as normal as himself. Hyun looked quite a studious girl herself. That's all he could really figure out at the moment.
The next girl acknowledged herself as Kumiko Takazawa, whose name made Kiyota raises an eyebrow at. Her name and her accent proved that she's also a Japanese, like him and Suijin, and her Titan is Hyperion. Now taking a better look at Kumiko, Kiyota finally saw that she is somewhat familiar. Maybe he's seen her on some posters or something. And from the way she talked to them, apparently she's quite a friendly girl who can get along with just about anyone, despite being someone who can be considered as... famous? Nonetheless, it seems Kumiko was quite interesting than she looked. Though whether Kiyota is able to build up enough interests to get to know her more or not is beyond him.
And then, it comes to the last person, who introduced herself as Ivanna Elliot, though her nickname is Ivy with the fact that she's the vessel of the Titan of Tethys. Different from Kumiko and Suijin, it seems that this girl was quite picky and careful with her words, as if she's fearing that something will go wrong if her words didn't go as the way she intended. A little bit too cautious for everyone's sakes, isn't she?
But Kiyota couldn't care less. The way she reacted is understandable upon meeting the people whom you have never met before, but in reality, they did have strong connections with you, whether if you like it or not. Kiyota has learnt to live with it now and it's not like that he's complaining about anything.
When the introductions are done, they all fell silent for a brief moment. Apparently everyone is still questioning on how to react and what to say now that some of the ones whom they're supposed to look for are standing in front of them. Kiyota was intending to speak something in his mind, but before he could, Ivanna spoke up again and stated about what is known as the 'matter at hands' as everyone knows it, and asked which sides did they all stand for while stating her own point of view.
This is one thing that Kiyota never even wanted just to think of, not to mention discussing about it. But now that he's met some of his fellow vessels again, he knows he couldn't elude it again even if he didn't want to. Luckily that after his effort to hold the Titan down, Rhea has stayed quiet for now.
"Since Suijin-san here did show us what she's capable of, I think I should explain about my capabilities too." After looking around to check if there was anyone else watching, Kiyota raised his hand as some of the rocks around him began to float as if they are weightless, "I have power to manipulate gravity. Similar to telekinesis, I can move objects to my liking, ranges from something as light as these rocks to those that heavier such as a large metal bar. It really did save my life once. Though sometimes it did go out of control a bit like what has happened earlier."
Then, Kiyota flipped as they all fell down and lay on the ground again. Taking a deep breath, he fixed his scarf a bit before started to speak up, "I know that sooner or later, I will have to take this matter into consideration. No matter what my so-called Titaness always nagged me about, I have my own will and I never allowed her to manipulate me to do as her liking. While it is true that I'm also a vessel like you all, the decisions that I've made are solely mine. Unlike some of you, I don't often communicate with my Titaness. Which is why, I can say with certainty that destruction is something that doesn't exist in my dictionary."
Setting his gaze somewhere else, he continued, "I wouldn't say that I have the happiest of a past, living as a person. I couldn't defend humanity for what they've done for this planet either. But in my opinion, I don't agree that total annihilation is a wise solution for everything. The weight of a life is way heavier than that and it shouldn't be treated like some sort of trash to be dispose of. Like you, I didn't have a clear decision of which sides to stand just yet, but I most certainly will never kill a single living human as long as I live. That is my ideal."
Looking at his watch, Kiyota then spoke up, "As much as I want to keep the conversation going with you ladies, and enjoy this 'happy reunion' between the Titans, I still had a college to attend. So I have to take my leave for now. If what is known as 'fate' has decided, we will come across again."
Turning his back, Kiyota then walked away from the other girls and heading off to the bus station. While sitting on a bus that took him back to his university, he couldn't help but wonder if he will meet them again soon.
The setting changes from Seoul to New Orleans
A bit disappointed at having been ignored, Adelaide turned her head to follow him with a pout. Ignored or not she made it her business to know what he was up to. Adele stepped besides him pink orbs looking at him from the corner of her eyes. "Back to my hotel room, where else?" For once Adelaide didn't respond she merely nodded her head. "I hate these kinds of... things." She quirked an eyebrow at his words. At first Adelaide wasn't sure whether to take offense of his words or to brush them off but it seemed the latter was far more likely by what Rezu said next. "I got dragged here by a friend; no offense to you or your troupe, I just hate noisy places. I'd probably appreciate the show with less people." The young woman thought of the idea of being dragged to some place you cared naught for by a friend. She had never experienced that before as she had no friends, at least not the sort of friends that Rezu would have. Those who would be were more like family than anything else.
"None taken sweetheart." Raising her hands as a show of peace. "Well there are always chances for a private show but you don't seem the type to bother." The corners of her lips pulled up into a little bit of a smile as she danced around him before taking a spot by his side again. Folding her hands behind her back, Adelaide looked around at the crowds. While Rezu fixed up his appearance Adele took head of the side long glances she received. It wasn't that unusual really to be stared at because of her choice in attire. If anything Adelaide looked to be enjoying the attention, basking in it even. "Don't tell me you actually agreed with the shit I was spewing just earlier?" Pink locked onto blue-green if only for a moment. She thought about what he said now and the speech he had given not too long ago. "Well not all of it per say. My entire family is human," She waved her arms around her to empathize that her family was the entirety of the troupe. "and as such I've no desire to see them killed off because one kid didn't have the same . . . experiences as I did." Adelaide shrugged her shoulders in a brisk manner.
It was then that a voice in her head spoke up. As usual Cronos chose the wrong moment to speak his mind. Although she was in the company of a her "brethren" and the public she made a face as she mocked the Titan that resided within her. "I don't even remember half what I said. I just know that death is usually a bad thing, and killing as a conscious act rather than as a necessary means of survival is even worse." Putting out the words of blasphemy spewing from the big guy, Adelaide gave him a look. She snorted at his words, realizing all those stereotypes her family told her regarding pretty boys were true. They really were idiots. By her standards that is.
Suddenly a figured stepped right in front of them or Rezu really. Adelaide felt her stomach churn but in a way that wasn't really bad. OH! Iβm sorry! Iβm so sorry, I wasnβt looking where I wasβ¦ goingβ¦β Looking at the girl, Adele could tell she wasn't far from her own age possibly younger even. Before she could analyze the feeling in her stomach the girl spoke again, this time in an irritating chirpy voice. βHey, youβre that dancer from earlier!β The dancer waved at the girl, forcing a smile on her face. While she loved being recognized that high voice ruined her potentially good mood. βYou dance beautifully!β At this Adelaide perked up a little. Throwing her hair over her shoulder, a smirk settled on her features. βOf course I did sweetheart. Why else would they allow me to dance?β She stood up straighter with a hint of pride in the way she held herself. It wasnβt everyday she got complemented by outsiders since she was often whisked away to some other secluded part of the circus.
Adelaide watched the girl for more complements however she felt that tug and churn of her stomach again instead. This feeling. It canβt be. The dancer was quite to take on a weary demeanor as shown by her leaning back slightly. She could hear Cronos chanting somewhere inside her of finding his sister but he decided not to tell her which one. βTime has set us free.β A chill ran down Adelaide's spine. It was the first time she had ever felt such a particular feeling and she most certainly didnβt like it. The girlβs entire demeanor darkened when she spoke. βAdelaideβ¦ keeper of my brother, Cronos.β She blinked unsure as to how the girl was able to speak her name. The dancer didnβt recall ever giving it to her and it wasnβt written anywhere in the circus grounds where a passerby could see. Adelaide took note of the warm smile on the girls lips at least she didnβt seem like she was angry or anything. Of course looks could be deceiving as shown by Chester. βRezu Sonova. I have not seen who you keep of my family.β Adelaide wasnβt sure what she meant by seen but it was more clue as to which Titan she housed within her.
βYou have had a fight with the others?β Again the girl spoke as if she was there but then again had she been there sheβd know why they had fought. βWhat have they done now?β Adelaide shrugged her shoulders as she leaned forwards at her waist. With the way Cronos was acting Adele was cautious. If he was so happy to see this girl it probably wasnβt a good thing for her or Rezu. βWell . . . Iβd think youβd know that too seeing as you know just about everything else but I guess not. Iβd say the damn matter doesnβt concern you but it does. Whether youβre with us or not Iβve no idea but I for one have no damn intentions of murdering the entire human race.β She spoke calmly yet at various points it seemed tad condescending. The young woman wasnβt one to speak such words since she enjoyed talking but Cronosβs behaviour told her otherwise. Having said that a light trickle of blood rolled down her nose and unto her lips.
Adelaide tilted her head to the side unsure as to what she should do. Sheβd offer a napkin but she had none and she didnβt know this girl. Then the girl smiled. It was a little unsettling.
βWhere are my manners? This form is Haiku... I am Phoebe.β She nodded her head as she racked her brain for information of the Titaness Phoebe. If she remembered correctly the damn Titan was one who could see into the future, someone with a penchant for prophecy. So thatβs how she knew our fucking names yet wasnβt aware of what we had fought about. Sheβll be a tricky gal to deal with depending on whose side sheβs on. Considering Phoebe had control of this Haiku girl, it was unlikely that sheβd be with the humans. The poor girl didnβt seem to have any control of her body at the moment. A look of pity glinted in those pink hues of hers but it was gone as she spoke. βSo thatβs how you knew our fucking names. You already know Iβve got lovely little Cronos but Iβll leave it to Rezu to tell you who he gots.β Standing up straighter, Adelaide was curious about this Titan.

Breaking Newsβ¦
At approximately 9:32 p.m. today in downtown New Orleans what appears to have been a terrorist attack has left many residents in the area shaken and scared. The authorities and first responders on scene are reporting that they had never seen anything like it, the damages ranging from arson to murder⦠Live at the scene is our New Orleans correspondent Claudia Yeuings- Claudia?
Thanks Janet. Iβm here Live in the New Orleans city park where for the last week a foreign circus has taken to performing with seemingly no incident. Today was supposed to be the last day of their New Orleans tour when the unthinkable happened. Now, the authorities here are reporting this as a one man terror attack, possibly armed with explosives from the amount of damage dealt in the amount of the attack lasted. They say it couldnβt have been more than two minutes, and the attacker had already vanished by the time the police and first responders had arrived, but the eye witness accounts of the attack seem a little too farfetched to be true.
Iβve interviewed countless eyewitnesses, and nearly all of their stories report a glowing blue boy to be responsible for all the damage caused. Now, how a glowing child can exist, and cause so much damage and causalty in such a short amount of time is still unclear, but what has reigned crystal clear is the video evidence produced by multiple witnesses at the scene.
What you are seeing on the screen is what appears to be a child, it happens incredibly fast, not more than two seconds, but when the video is slowed down to a frame by frame viewing the distinct shape of a child can be made out in the blue flash. Now whether or not this is even possible will have to be looked into by authorities, but what has been most devastating about this attack is not the loose animals, or arson damage, but the animalistic damage delivered to the performers of the circus troupe. Many are unharmed or with minor injuries, but more than twenty have been severely or gravely injured in the attack, the worst of the injuries were taken by the lead male dancer of the troupe, and the authorities believe that the attack may be race crime and hate driven.β
Ah, hang on, Iβm being told that new developments are being made right now. One of our helicopters covering the story has just arrived and is reporting that, as they flew over, the strange scorch markings on the ground arenβt just the random paths the terrorist traveled. We are cutting to the footage now.
What we are looking at appears to be a message, to who we are not really sure, but those marks are an undeniable message reading: UNWORTHY.
This is Claudia Yeunings reporting live from New Orleans, back to you Janet.
With Casβs confirmation that he would stay loyal to the titan side the dread that had been pooling in his gut began to subside just slightly. Having the first titan vessel he met stay on his side some how made the boy feel monumentally better. Despite only having a few minutes of a head start in their relationship compared to the other vessels it seemed to make a world of difference to Chester, as if they had been friends for years rather than minutes, and he couldnβt keep the big grin off his face when the boy stayed on his side. He was about to voice his approval of the decision when the wind around them seemed to kick up in a sudden flurry.
He turned to see that the other girl, Gale, was still with them too, looking about as angry as he felt. The wind gusted around her powerfully, and even with her back turned to them he could tell she had reacted the same way he had to Adeleβs words, she was probably just as appalled as he was by the situation. He was impressed by the demonstration of her power though, as her body moved the wind moved with her, like an extension of her leg as she sent the strong kick into the side of the box, it was beautiful really. Even if he couldnβt see the wind the boy could still feel its change, the pressure that adjusted around them as she moved. Gale would be a powerful ally.
βWell, it's three against two. That's gotta give us some kind of advantage, right?β Chester nodded at her statement, his mind already abuzz with a plan that was a little reckless, but definitely worth it. It was his debut as a titan vessel in this human dominated world, and his chance to demonstrate the power that he and Coeus had collaborated on. He looked up to meet Gale in the eyes as she continued to talk, asking if they had fighting abilities, and he couldnβt keep the smirk off his lips.
βDonβt worry, I can fight. And personally, I doubt those human loving idiots have ever thought of using their powers as weapons so they are probably worthless anyways.β He looked down at the taser in his hand, running a thumb over its smooth surface and turning it over in his palm. The deadly little instrument was the key to one of his most developed abilities. ββ¦ And Iβve got a place for us to camp out in, but first Iβve got some business to attend to. Justβ¦ donβt freak out, ok?β
Its not that he didnβt trust the two vessels that had sided with him, but he didnβt know the extent of either of their powers yet, or the best way to utilize them in a combat situation and he couldnβt risk getting caught by the humans from a miscalculation. He wanted to hit that bitch where it hurt though, and he wanted to do it as soon as possible.
The boy pushed up the sleeve of his black hoodie, his arm was as pale of the rest of his body, revealing his forearm littered with tiny snakebite scars. They were small circular puncture marks that corresponded perfectly to the cap of his taser. The taser in his hand was police-grade that he had swiped off an unsuspecting cop, over a year ago, and had rigged it to make the voltage it spat near deadly, he had found that was the only way to give him enough juice to activate his ability.
The boy took a deep breath, tensing his left arm as he pressed the button of the taser, the small device zapped to life with a violent pop. He closed his eyes as he slammed the small metal bits into the flesh of his forearm, wincing as the electricity shocked its way through his body. The process never got any less painful as the magnetic poles in his body began to align and vibrate to hold the charge in his body and a few seconds later the entire boyβs body gave off an eerie electrical blue glow.
The taser fell from his hand and the boy exhaled the breath he had been holding. Electromagnetism was an ability that did not come easy, and once he achieved it the power sent an unimaginable burden on his nervous and muscular systems, but the overwhelming power that came from it was undeniably worth it. He looked towards his two allies, his body sending off small static shocks as he moved. His right arm twitched violently, nearly untraceable in speed, as an electrical impulse sent a nerve haywire. He couldnβt keep the smile from growing over his lips though. His white hair stood on jagged ends, the black hoodie unable to contain the now stiff locks and his head twitched towards the Menagerie.
βAs soon as I get back get ready to run. Oh, and watch out for tigers.β He paused, his glowing blue eyes traced over his comrades, and he could hear the electricity buzzing inside him. βThings are about to get electric.β
The boy didnβt have time to hesitate over the lame one-liner as his muscles brought him into action. He shot across the lawn and towards the main circus tent, making it to the destination in a matter of seconds, it was getting later so there were fewer pedestrians wandering the attractions, but there were enough to witness him move. He paused only for the briefest moment and people were pulling out phones to get pictures and videos of him. The white haired boy ignored them, stepping into the big top where he began to wreck havoc. The metal of the bleachers pulled up and curled as he raced by them, succeeding in crushing a few unlucky people who had lingered after the show, but they were irrelevant, the boy was aiming for something a bit more personal. People screamed as the metal inside the tent began twisting and mangling itself, drawing the attention of the others still around the circus grounds.
The boyβs destination was a doorway towards the back of the tent where he had seen the performers exiting and entering, and he ignored the flames that caught the loose ropes hanging as he passed them, more damage that he wouldnβt have to personally cause. The boy had a particular face in his mind, the dancer Adele had performed with, surely a casualty of that size would cause her a fair amount of grief. As he shot through the narrow pass the flaps on either side of him lit aflame, and he was confident it would spread into a horrid blaze. He continued his path, having left Castiel and Gale not even ten seconds ago by the time he reached where the performers were staying. Not one of them reacted at first as the glowing boy appeared in the middle of their group. It wasnβt so much they were slow to react, but that Chesterβs mind was moving too fast for the rest of them. Every one around him looked as if they were moving in slow motion, easy targets for him to pick apart.
*The boy squatted slightly, bunching the muscles of his quads before he sprang forward at the nearest performer. She was an older looking woman and he didnβt even bother to look back at her reaction as he sliced her arm clean off, the spray of blood barely grazing him as he darted through the crowd. Skipping over some when handing out varying degrees of damage to the rest. The wounds ranged from things as minor as skin grazing abrasions to lethal puncture wounds hit through stomachs and chests. Moving as fast as he was, clearing a hole straight through the bone of an ordinary person was as easy as snapping pencils, he barely had to think about it.

~~The sight made even Chester a little queasy and the jumped back a few paces to examine the damage he had caused. Adelaideβs partner had been left alive, withering in immense amounts of pain on the ground, and Chester left him that way, hoping Adele would find him alive like that. He took a few quick steps back and shot out of the area and leaving a blackened scorch mark behind him. The trail he was leaving left him with a creative idea as he began scorching the ground around him in large looping lines, jumping every now and again to create breaks in his masterpiece. If he did it right the message would be there, not that Adelaide would have much doubt as to who attacked her circus.
After finishing he set his sights on his last task, the menagerie, where he would take less than a second the rip open and apart all the metal cages the animals were confined in, successfully freeing them in one fallow swoop as he spat himself out the opposite end of the tent, sparks and tiny shots of lightening shooting around him as he looked on to the havoc he had caused. Already animals were escaping the tent, and the noise from within proved hell was beginning to break loose. The fire he had started at the main tent had taken nicely as well, lighting up open yard of the circus and spending strong pulses of heat in every direction. He aimed himself in the direction of Castiel and Gale, using up the last of his stored energy in the few steps it took to return to them.
He couldnβt have been gone for more than two minutes, but when he shot back to them the boy was completely exhausted. Everything hurt immensely now that he wasnβt on the high electromagnetism gave him, and the headache that always accompanied the ability was beginning to bloom nicely. His chest was heaving with an effort to get oxygen back into his system, and he was completely soaked with the blood of the people he had injured. He looked towards the two of them with a weak smile, and continued to pant, sweat beginning to drench his skin as his humanness caught up with him.
βWeβve gotta get out of here, fast.β He panted, forcing himself forward with heavy feet, even taking a few steps proved to be too much for him as he tripped over the unevenness of the ground, barely catching himself as his forearms connected with the ground. Coeus was stirring inside of him, itching at the edges of his mind to keep him conscious, and he was glad for it. The last thing he needed was to pass out in the middle of enemy territory.
