Imagever since humanity first crawled out of the muck there were beings that we could only describe as Gods. They are what we call the Greek Pantheon. These Gods were arrogant, self-serving, and amoral. They saw mankind as nothing more than their playthings. Toys that they could use, and discard as they pleased.

This lead to the creation of a new race, one both man and god, Demigods. They were the sons and daughters of the Olympians, and mortals, gifted with extraordinary powers, and abilities. The Gods paid little mind to them; well most of them. Of course there has been a very select few that have gained the interest of the gods, and even became gods themselves, Heracles would be the most notable of these few.

The combination of the Gods disregard of both their mortal children, and mankind as a whole led to their downfall. The Demigods attacked the Gods, declaring war on their divine parents. Thus forcing them off their high pedestal, and loosing their grip on the world. This war left the Pantheon in ruins. A great many of the Gods were slain. While the Gods were undoubtedly more powerful than their children, the Demigods had sheer numbers over them.

With the losses mounting the Gods were forced into hiding. The Demigods had won. Over the centuries the Gods, and their spawn faded into the myth, and legends we know of today. But even in hiding the Gods still thought of the humans as mere playthings. Roughly around the time of WWII Demigods began popping back up across the globe. In fear that history would repeat itself, the Gods developed a place to teach these young men, and women how to control their powers, as well as not to resent their divine parents in hopes of preventing another war.

And so the Aeonis Academy for Demigods, or the AAD, was founded. It lies on a mystically hidden island off the coast of Greece, far from prying eyes, and hidden enough for only those that know where it is can find it. Now, in 2015, something comes that threatens the remaining Pantheon. With the latest generation of Demigods still training, how will they respond? Will they defend their divine parents like they were taught to? Or will they join this rising tide, and finish what their brethren started so long ago? As mythology has shown us, every story has it's heroes, what kind will you be?

ImageImageeonis Academy exists on a small peninsular city, the citizens there are entirely aware that the Demi-Gods are sent there to be trained and educated, many of them even continue to worship the very same Gods these students call their parents. In a sense, it can be considered a haven for these students, and has been for the last decade, there are even rumors that some of the Gods who have chosen to obscure themselves for safety reasons live at this location and even teach at the Academy. However, the Gods would not put it past some of the humans and Demigods they have allowed on this island to try and infiltrate the Academy and influence the students to follow a different destiny. The Academy is a state-of-the-art facility, while the architecture is a mix of Gothic and Greek, the exterior looks rather archaic, although the interior has been completely renovated to look like a high-quality private school. The Academy is surrounded by lush vegetation, and bordered by a large lake, it is often considered the most striking part of the Island. It is lead by two Headmasters, who have devoted their Demigod status to educating the new and returning students to the Academy.

Naveen looked to his younger brother, waiting and wondering if he would see a reaction. He watched as Jack seemed to lose the pep in his step. Naveen nodded, and looked down to Cody. Few people had a good relationship with their godly parent. Naveen had a semi okay one. She woud make appeareances when Naveen was entirely alone on camping trips that his father abandons him on. That happened more often than Naveen would have liked.

Naveen looked back up to Jack and might have winced at Jack's laugh if Naveen was different. The way he was, he held sympathy, but not the kind someone would have when they think someone else is pathetic. Naveen has sympathy for Jack because he remembered how he used to feel about their mother. He still tolerated her and was glad when she said hi, but she was not their mother.

As Jack spoke, Naveen observed and listened. He didn't dare speak until Jack was done. Naveen rarely spoke without being directly spoken to, but he felt certain circumstances were exceptions.

When Jack was done, Naveen spoke to him softly. "Jack, you done with the language?" Naveen asked like the older brother he was. He hated inappropriate language and few students actually cursed in his class as they knew he called them out on it in front of everyone.

He then looked down at his dirty dishes before looking back up at Jack and speaking softly. "Jackie, I say she gave it to me because I studied and graduated early. Perhaps if you ask me in a less public place I'll tell you what was going on around the time I got my doctorate. And I got my doctorate because I wanted to help people, not because I wanted to have Artemis notice me. Besides, bitterness does not suit you Jack, we all have plenty to be bitter about," Naveen stated simply, giving a hint of bitterness in his tone towards the end but leaving it at that. Immediately the bitterness was gone and his face was more like a big brother talking to a little brother.

"Really, we are more similar than just being the children of the gods Jack. If you ever want or need help or begin to lose faith, come find me," Naveen stated simply before standing. He gave a wink before leaving Jack at the picnic table, making a clicking noise so Cody would know he was leaving. The young pup jumped after Naveen as Naveen walked towards the faculty building.

He had spoken so much! But he was there for his students, and other demigods. His younger half siblings especially.

Naveen walked into the faculty building and wrinkled his nose slightly. He couldn't stand being official. He was wearing sweatpants for crying out loud. He walked into his office, one on the first floor that had a sliding door Naveen had installed. He liked that he could open it and sit on a chair he hat outside. Cody had a little doggie bed in Naveen's office and immediately went there.

Naveen spotted a little bag on his "desk" which was really just a coffee table. Desks were stupid. Instead, Naveen had a couch and a coffee table and a side table with the coffee table serving as his desk. It worked for him. He smiled at the goodies before leaving Cody to fine June.

He found her, and Terry, and Priscilla all in June's office. Naveen froze slightly at the crowd before shrugging inwardly and stepping up to the door. Thanking people was allowed in his repertoire of reasons to speak.

"Thank you June," He stated with a smile and a nod as he gave little waves to the others in the room. He gave one final smile before moving to leave, not really wanting to have to make his own conversation starter to have to stay. He wouldn't really mind them asking him to join, but that was equal with him sitting outside and practicing knife throwing.

Tess looked up as August sat down. She shrugged, her face not happy still but she sat up at least. She pulled her invention project back, working on that again to avoid feeling like there was a lot of people. She liked that everyone was near her, that she was getting attention, but she hated that it was only because they seemed to think that she was upset. Why couldn't people give her attention just because she was Tessa?

Tess again attempted to fit the fingers into the mechanical hand but failed. Then another person sat down. She felt her shoulders hunch as she wasn't sure what to do. She found that the piece finally fit but that she wasn't sure what to do with so many people.

She wanted to escape and looked to Marilyn to see if she would mind. If it had been people she was close to, like Otter and Marilyn and Hugo and Priya, that would have been different, minus Hugo since he made her nervous no matter where he was.

"Yeah, you're probably right.. especially with how tight the rules are around here." Alex was looking forward to a bit of a spar, but it would of only attracted attention. They had their sparring moments during one of their classes anyway. It would of been nice though to let off a little bit of steam. The very thought of her father being at the academy was still playing on her mind. Before Daniel had even told her that Zeus was on campus, Alex remembered that she had a feeling in the pit of her stomach. She had sensed him during the storm that formed on her arrival, the same feeling she had when she ran away from home once. She had been going through one of those teen phases where they believed that everyone in their family didn't like them, or love them, so she ran away that very night. The rain was so heavy because she recalled that she couldn't really see anything in-front of her, but she did notice the blinking neon sign that hung up outside some diner.

She had spent ages in there to get dry, and warm. The woman who ran it had a heart for those in need, so on the house!? Alex got a meal for free. For a lady of her age, Alex could remember how pretty she was. Just like her mother. The inner feeling that makes you feel homesick was setting in already, along with guilt and regret. She shouldn't of left. But all of that past stuff was buried in the past now. Her family does love her, and does care. She was about to reply to Tristan again, but Daniel had made himself known yet again, but this time he sounded like he was auditioning for America's Got Talent. Tristan had shot him a warning glare as Alex averted her eyes from Daniel after he winked in her direction. She felt like rolling her eyes right then and there. Clearly he was doing it to get a reaction out the both of them. "My family are doing really well. Abel is graduating university in another year, so that's exciting. My mums getting a new job, so we should be moving to another house. A bigger one. How about yours?" Abel was Alex's step-dads son from a previous marriage, but he was still waiting for his ex-wife to sign the divorce papers so he could marry Alex's mum in Autumn.

Image
She glanced to Daniel who was still dancing and silently singing. She had to admit, he was actually entertaining to watch most the time. "Where's your friend?" Alex asked for a moment while looking around for the red headed girl she had seen him with. The canteen was beginning to fill up with more students. After their breakfast, hopefully orientation time would start, because she was growing inpatient of waiting around. Excitement and energy was dying to burst out of her, she needed to get to the interesting classes to train her ass off.

After watching Aiden's reaction sweep over his facem Otter wasn't too sure that it had been the best idea to tell him everything. Then again, how long would she have been able to keep a possible relationship between her and Danny in wraps. She nodded her head when he said he could accept any answer.
"Well he's a man. Of course he can take it. Apparently I'm just to much of a tosser to dish it out.
Otter rolled her eyes at Aiden's words as he walked out the door and opened the door a bit wider to allow Daniel access into her dorm.
"Sorry about him. He's just protective." She gave Danny a small smile. She loved her brother all the less. He was one of her favorite people. They got along because of their lack of constant communication. They were there when they needed each other, or help in coursework that the other was brilliant in, otherwise they spoke merely through their minds and Otter loved it. It was another person she didn't have to face and have to cautiously maneuver around to assure herself that they might not brush against her face.
"And don't worry about me Danny. I'm okay now. Come on in, I'll start some tea. See you in class, Aiden." She waved to her brother then disappeared into her kitchen, standing on her tip toes to reach a kettle in the cupboard. She filled it with water and two tea bags then set it on the stove to heat.

Well at least she was admitting it. But the fact that she had lied to his face really ticked Landon off. He kept his face hard and his eyes were emotionless while she spoke. Without letting on, his teeth clenched in his mouth. Of course I am protective over you. Because you're just like me and it's not hard to get into trouble.
He looked to the spliff in his hand and brought it to his lips, lighting it and taking a large hit. He brought it away exhaled a flume of smoke and put it back to his lips again. That helped him calm down a bit.
"I only want to know because I care. As long as they treat you with the respect you deserve, then I don't give a shit. It's your life. But you know if I were to ever catch someone being a pig or trying to get the best of you, I'll pop em' 'till their eyes roll out of their head."
He had been taking hits as he spoke and deemed it her turn so he swept around and put his arm around her. With his free hand he brought the blunt to her lips for her.
"You know I love you, sis." A quick smile crossed his features but it dropped in the same instant.
"But you know I can't stand being lied to. You should have told me the truth."
His face was cold, his features hurt but also a bit angered. He removed his arm and began walking away from her, not much caring to be in her presence at the moment. He couldn't stand people that were deceitful. But if it was his own blood, well, he took it to heart. Of course no one would know that unless they actually knew him due to his lack of expressing any emotion besides content, pleasure, and anger, but nonetheless he would speak to her soon. He however had lost a bit of respect for her in those few moments. He was supposed to be her best friend too. But maybe this street didn't go both ways.

Aiden watched, impassive, as Otter and Daniel conversed. It would seem that things were going well on Otter's part now that she had calmed down. He only wished that she wouldn't be so hard on herself just for not being perfect, something that was statistically impossible to begin with and consequently pointless to worry about. He was about to leave when he heard his name get butchered by the other male.

In response to the jab, he quirked a brow and flashed a warm smile, the one he used to disarm unsuspecting victim and faculty staff, in Daniel's direction. "Why? Are you planning to ask me out too?" he responded just before snapping his fingers. Aiden's features immediately softened, taking on more feminine features while his hair lengthened until he had shoulder-length curls. His body also gained curves, and the simple shirt and trousers he had been wearing were replaced by a low-cut dress. It was a simple illusion meant to change one's appearance and was taught to all children of Hecate on their first day at Aeonis, but Aiden had to go an extra length and developed a way to trick the ear as well.

"Take care, love." It was a distinctively female and accented voice that bid goodbye to Otter as she retreated back into the safety of her dorm, and it was definitely not a man's face that winked to Daniel now that Aiden's disguise had been completed. "As for you, I will definitely see you at the party tonight. Have a nice day." Before he could hear Daniel's response, Aiden left so that he wouldn't keep his sister waiting. Once more he phased through the walls so as to join the few students who had not made their way to the cafeteria yet.

His phone let out rang again just as he had reached for it in his pocket. It was Amanda again and he lamented the fact that his illusions can not fool cameras yet else he would have sent her a 'selfie'. He was quite proud of his latest disguise after all. Instead, he had to settle with a simple text message again.

        To: Amanda Cartwright
I'd reckon that an animal is easier to care for than a woman. It's a deal! Would I still get tax deduction if I were to wed it though? High school parties are a breeding ground for social faux pas. No gate will keep me away from bearing witness to such historical moments in a student's high school career.

Not to mention that he would get to keep an eye on the person courting his half-sister. Just thinking about it left a bad taste in his mouth, so he went and got himself another cup of jasmine tea, shrugging off his disguise in the process, and filled his plate hash browns and baked beans.

Just as he was looking for a seat, from the corner of his eye he spotted a few new faces wandering into the cafeteria with uncertainty: fresh meat, new to the scene and unable to read the numerous signs pointing in the direction of the cafeteria. They had eagerly picked up what appeared to be a bowl of cereal and orange juice. Liquids, just perfect. Aiden took a seat near the unfortunate bunch and waited.

As soon as they began to look around for a seat while carrying their tray of food, Aiden shifted his attention to their legs, giving them a mental push and tripping them. The majority of them caught themselves with superhuman reflexes, children of Ares most likely, but one of them wasn't as lucky and tumbled forward, sending the content of their tray flying.

A mixture of milk, cereal and freshly pressed orange juice took off, forming a gigantic net of liquid, and fell in the direction of one gloomy-looking Jack Clement and, as karma would have it, Aiden who had seated himself a bit too close to the warzone.

Alex Verlin (0040BF) and Ryuu Morimoto(404000), 1 September, Orientation Day, Cafeteria

Alex had absolutely zero clue where to go. thankfully, Ryuu did, and the duo had met up with the other members of their batch. Alex would've much rather go to sleep instead of talk, but since there were no beds around Alex leant against the wall and crossed his arms, closing his eyes.

Ryuu smiled as he chatted with the others, feeling like he was at the top of the world. Oh man, this was awesome! Ryuu still couldn't believe it. A boarding school that allowed him to stay away from home, and unless he kicked up a fuss his father could do nothing about it since he had a scholarship and everything, and since Ryuu planned on being the ultimate normal student Raiden Morimoto would never have to come to the academy unless absolutely necessary. He was already making friends with a lot of people and had managed to familiarise himself with most of the others (even if it was only through sight), which was already pretty good in Ryuu's book.

He grinned happily. Yup, life was sweet, and would be more sweeter from here on out especially now that he and a few others were going to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Thanks to travelling here Ryuu hadn't eaten breakfast yet, he was starv - no wait, extremely hungry. Starving felt different. More painful, for one thing. He made his way to the wall Alex was leaning against, bumping into a girl going in the opposite direction.

For a moment that was more like a blink, Ryuu winced, and his hand went to his right upper arm. He immediately covered it up with a sheepish smile and turned around to apologise, but the girl had already gone off, chatting with her friend.

Ow, Ryuu thought, rubbing his arm gently. The large bruise on it throbbed from the impact. He'd gotten it two days ago, along with a few others scattered on his abdomen here and there from when his father lost it at the dinner table. The bruises on his thigh and shoulder were almost healed, along with the smaller one almost below the newer bruise, but it still hurt.

Ryuu still had no clue what had set him off. Work maybe? Or something Ryuu did?

It was probably the latter. Ah well. Rearranging his face into a smile, Ryuu approached Alex and shook him lightly. "C'mon, sleepyhead," he grinned cheerfully as Alex's eyes blinked open, "Rise and shine! A few of us are gonna get breakfast, want to come with?"

---------------------------------------------------

Alex still felt sleepy, but less like falling asleep on his feet. Ryuu introduced him to Celgi, Killian and Glen, who were children of Hephasteus, Ares and Hermes respectively and had absolutely no clue where the cafeteria was. Alex didn't say much, but Ryuu more than made up for it by talking a mile a minute. They didn't seem to mind that Alex wasn't really a talker, which Alex found himself grateful for.

After finding the cafeteria and getting their breakfast, they went off to find a seat, jokingly mocking each other's choice of of breakfast. Alex was in the middle of debating with Killian on just exactly why Cookie Crunch were infinitely more superior than porridge when -

"Whoa!"

- All of them tripped. Glen and Killian, having superhuman reflexes thanks to their godly parents, caught themselves and quickly grabbed at the person closest to them to prevent them from falling. Celgi's breakfast fell to the floor, but since it was wrapped in plastic it didn't matter... leaving Alex just enough time to think Oh shit- before he landed on the cafeteria floor with a thud while his tray flew out of his hands.

People were yelling, and with a dawning feeling of horror in his stomach, Alex looked up and saw in what felt like slow motion his breakfast falling towards two students sitting at tables.

Still half outstretched on the cafeteria floor, Alex's hand shot out almost reflexively and turned the falling milk, orange juice and cereal into ice.

Within seconds, the white and orange liquid mixed with cereal turned into brittle ice that would shatter upon contact, but it was too late - gravity was doing its work, and Alex couldn't stop the net of ice from falling.

Jackie Pineman (BF4000), 1 September, Orientation Day, Dorm room - Cafeteria

Adjustments done, Jackie stretched her arms and decided to head to the cafeteria for breakfast. Pulling on a dark blue sports hoodie over a white shirt with a stylised black skull logo and black jeans, Jackie slipped on her trainers and headed out of the room with a bag slung around her shoulder, containing gym clothes, a few books and her wallet. Classes would be boring today since the first day of the school year was normally spent by everyone (even the teachers) reorienting themselves back to school life and patching up with friends, so Jackie planned to spend the day catching up with everyone in real life and relaxing in the gym or sparring.

After she ate, though. Jackie's stomach growled, and her steps quickened to a brisk trot as she made her way towards the cafeteria, fully focused on getting food to appease the dark growling pit that was her stomach. Jackie frowned and clutched the sling of her bag tighter. Geez, it felt like her stomach was trying to digest itself! maybe she should've eaten breakfast before making all those changes to Vladsmire...

Nah.

Jackie dismissed that thought almost as soon as she had thought it. Her character was even more awesome now! The tiny white haired midget could move faster, for one thing, and Jackie had managed to give him a pair of cybernetic upgrades that enhanced his healing factor and defence. She grinned to herself. No friggin' way she would lose against those-

The smell of food hit her like a punch to the stomach, and Jackie suddenly remembered that she was incredibly hungry and that thoughts relating to game characters could wait until after her stomach stopped threatening to commit suicide if food wasn't in it within the next five minutes. Running to the counter with the shortest queue, Jackie ordered a cheese omelette, some bacon, toast and a glass of apple juice. She crossed her arms impatiently as she waited for the food to arrive, almost cheering out loud as the delicious looking meal finally made it's way onto her tray to be whisked away to the nearest seat.

Balancing the tray on one hand and grabbing a piece of toast with the other, Jackie stuffed it into her mouth and chewed as she walked around the cafeteria to find a seat. Thanks to the first years and other members of the school coming in, the cafeteria had gotten more crowded and noisier, and now it was pretty hard to find an empty seat. Jackie gritted her teeth as a second year bumped into her and nearly caused her to spill the plate of food balanced in her hands, disappearing before Jackie could do anything. Dammit all, she really should've gone earlier-

Jackpot!

Jackie grinned gleefully as she spotted an empty chair. She charged straight for it, miraculously not spilling her food or juice, and slid into the seat with a sense of victory. Spying Tessa and some others on another table nearby, Jackie beamed and waved at her before consuming her breakfast with a ferocity only seen on lioness defending her cubs. Someone yelled behind her, but Jackie ignored it in favour of eating her food.

As she lay, sprawled out on her bed, Zoe glanced at the mobile in her hand, an expression of curiosity touching her eyes when she noticed the pale symbol of an envelope adorning the screen, beside the time. Her thumb slid across the lock screen, -the background of which was her and Kirin, making the ugliest faces imaginable- and tapped in the four digits (1, 9, 4, 3 - or Mick Jagger's birth year, if you must know) before reading the message. She had expected it to be from one of her friends, in reply to the three texts she'd sent out not so long ago, but the time on the message said otherwise, having arrived on her phone whilst she was running. As she read it, Zoe's lip perked into an amused smile.

You have a great taste in music. I personally prefer "Paint It Black", as it is more emotional in my eyes, (the PTSD of a soldier after the Vietnam War is a very heavy subject to tackle,) but I guess the lyrics to that song are more motivational. Happy jogging.
-RR

"'RR'?" She frowned slightly in thought, searching for someone in her acquaintance that matched those initials. Seconds later, the smile returned, and she deftly saved the number under the name 'Good Taste', muttering the person's true identity softly, "Ruth Reyes." After a quick ponder, she typed a response, pleased to be aware of someone that shared her taste in quality music.

Good Taste:
Why, thank you. And I see your point, although if you want a 'difficult subject to tackle', I reckon
Sympathy For The Devil is worth a shot. It's not every day you get a first-person narrative from Beelzebub. Personally, I think he's misunderstood.

Just as she sent it, her phone vibrated, and she flicked onto her messages once more, as the phone murmured again, thrice. Ooh, aren't I popular? Opening the first text, her previous enthusiasm dimmed ever so slightly, at the reply from Lachlan (or, as she had warned to call him: Laky-shaky-mo-maky-breaky-achy):

Sorry Zo, I'm with Nessa headed to breakfast right now. Meet up later?!

Huh. Apparently not. All the same, she smirked, noting his company knowingly, and shot back a quick text:

Lake:
No probs. Knock 'em dead, Lover Boy. ;)

The second was from 'Stud', and she read it with a laugh, hearing his cool and collected tone as she did so.

Stud? Really Zoe?
I may have missed you, not your nicknames though.

"'May have'? How dare he!" She commented with amused sarcasm, before flicking on to the third message.

The next message perked her mood notably, and she read it with the excitement clear on her face.

I missed you too! I'm still in my dorm, been up all night drawing and messing around with my little mad lab of a room. Gimmie about fifteen minutes to get dressed and I'll meet up with you! xoxoxo

She was about to reply when she noted that the third text bore the same sender as the one she was currently reading, and she flicked it open, only to find that it was Kirin, informing her that she'd meet her at orientation, and that she needed to see Kade.

Kira:
Sure thing. See you there. :D

Zoe replied cheerfully, but as she chucked the phone onto her nightstand, she tutted in teasing disapproval, "Honestly, these people and their adolescent romances... Wheres my Hugh Grant?" She slid off the bed, picking up her phone again and slipping it into her pocket before approaching the door. "Ryan Gosling? Cary Grant?" She glanced at her roommate's abandoned luggage, and her fingers started to itch. "No." She scolded, before walking out the door, hearing it lock behind her as it swung shut.

More to herself than anyone else, she mumbled a mildly sorrowful, "... Now what do I do?" Before shrugging, and deciding that she may as well get something to eat. Sliding her headphones over her head, she walked over to the cafeteria accompanied by 'Pour Some Sugar On Me', and hummed quietly along as she swiped a crisp apple from the bowl, shooting a wink at the lunch lady, who returned the gesture with an amused, faux-irritated smile. Zoe trailed along the line, pondering how to spend her time, and bit into the apple with a soft crunch.

"Boys are so... infuriating. And I wish they could pick up on how girls feel but at the same time if they did then he would know how I feel and then everything would be so screwed up because he'd be like 'Oh, Tessa, how could I like a small little blonde like you who is socially awkward for the most part and always has grease on your face?'" Mark shrugged his shoulders before giving her forearm a light punch, teasingly.
"That's why I only date men." He took a bite of his egg and toast, and then thought about what she said. "Wait what guy is this?" He looked at both Marilyn and Tessa, his mouth was only semi full so he let the food fall to the front of his mouth so as the muffling of his voice wasn't so bad. "I'm pretty sure I've heard a few... complimentary whispers about you, here and there." He gave her a wink as he chewed his food. "Also... You're in a school with some of the most talented alchemists and love witches around, I'm sure one of the Hecate or Aphrodite kids can help you out if you wanna cheat." He then pursed his lips and looked off to the side. "Okay, maybe I not as good with the advice thing as I thought."

"Do I have any grease on my face?" Mark made a face which implied he thought she was being ridiculous, but not in a serious way and shook his head, this time his mouth was full and to speak would not being a pretty sight and wouldn't be coherent. Tessa then pluck the phone from Marilyn's hands and slide it across the table to Mark, who swallowed his food and whipped his hands on his jeans, before picking it up and reading the message.

Mark looked at Tessa with a slight smile, "Tessa you've nothing to worry about," He looked at the contact name along the top of the message. "Just tell him it's you and how you got the number..." He then paused for a moment and then looked at her. "If it's like a way you're ashamed of, just say I gave it to you and if he asks why just say something like 'Oh you know Mark and his phone, if you can't reach him you better try reaching one of his friends'." He gave a playful shrug and flashed her smile before taking another bite of his egg sandwich.
"Am I being too stressed? Why am I talking so much?" Mark's smile faultered as her head met the table again.
"Hey, we all get like this when we text people we like, right Mari?" He gave her a nudge with his foot and then a quick glance, indicating he wanted her to agree with him, he knew not everyone did it but he definitely did and knew Tessa would feel better if she wasn't being like a one in a thousand who stress over people not texting them back.

Mark didn't even notice August sit down, he was rather caught up in the discussion at hand, and when he spoke up Mark turned to look at him with a look of surprise. "Hello, Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Mark shook his head with a smile.
"Awk no, you're grand." Mark blushed as he heard his own extremely belfast accent, his eyes widen in disbelief at how his accent broke into the most horrible accent ever. "Sorry." He apologised for his accent as he regained some control over his accent and made it a more refined and understandable, or as people called it back home, posh, accent. Mark caught August's expression and mouthed 'later' to him, before noticing Shyroe sit next to him, Mark had never really engaged with the girl but he was plenty friendly with everyone so he waved at her.
"Hey." His voice was soft and his smile welcoming, he'd heard she could be pretty shy so didn't want to be intimidating, not that he was, no one was ever scared of him, he lightly chuckled to himself at the thought of someone finding him intimidating, but when he realised he was in coming he blushed and tried to recompose himself.

Castor was working on getting things ready for orientation and his first class. He had decided to take a short nap on his desk when he heard the lightning crash. Castor immediately woke up and nearly fell out of his chair from how loud the noise was. He cursed under his breathe and picked up the papers that fell on the floor. "Well great. Daddy's here..." Castor prayed that Zeus wouldn't be paying him a visit. He wasn't in the mood for a 'father-son' chat with the big guy.

Castor finished his work and made sure his outfit was perfect. He looked himself over using the camera on his phone as a mirror when a text appeared from his favorite student. Castor's lips curled into a devious smirk when he read it and then he responded:

Hey you. I just finished up my work for orientation. My summer was wonderful but I'd rather you tell me about yours later.

Castor sent the message and out his phone away before grabbing his messenger bag and coffee and leaving the classroom. He decided he wanted to go pay his two favorite coworkers a visit and figured he'd find them together. After a few turns down the halls he stopped at the counsellor's office to find the two he was looking for. "Hello ladies." He said with a charming and seductive grin on his face. "You two look positively lovely today."

Castor noticed Terry and acknowledged him by giving a friendly nod.

"Spencer?" Her roommate called. "Are you awake?"

Spencer groaned into her pillow and flipped over onto her back. I am now... She tossed her sheets off of her body and got out of bed. She then wiped the sleep away from her eyes before realizing her roommate would want an audible response.

"Yeah, I'm up. I'm getting dressed now."

Spencer flicked on the light in her room and made her way to her closet to pick out some clothes for her first official day at the academy. Spencer eventually picked an outfit and put it on before opening her door.

"Uh, hey roomie." Spencer said awkwardly. Both of them had been here early. Ruth was her before Spencer. Spencer tried to come as soon as possible for the sake of getting out of her hell hole of a house but she didn't know why Ruth came early. It's like she really cared if the girl told her or not. "So what do you need?" Spencer asked figuring that would be the only reason why she would wake Spencer up so early.

{ 8:17 a.m. // Daughter of Athena // Girl's Dormitory }

The wooden table jolted with energy while the various blood samples sprawled out across its smooth surface bobbed up and down in their test tubes. Reluctantly, Ruth picked up her vibrating phone. Fortunately, her agitation was appeased thanks to the sharp wit of Zoe Yeoman and her impressive knowledge of rock and roll music. She had always assumed that 'Sympathy for the Devil' was a first-person-narrative of Lucifer. However, it was possible to see Zoe's point of view. Before she could think too much about the unimportant subject of art, the ginger slammed down her iphone and continued to immerse herself in her makeshift lab work.

It was then that her roomate, Spencer McKnight, finally responded to her call.

"Uh, hey roomie." the blonde said awkwardly. Ruth didn't respond. She didn't even look at the girl. She was too busy swirling her precious test tubes around in the lamplight like glasses of red wine devoid of oxygen.

"So what do you need?"

Ruth Reyes laid back in her chair and squinted slightly. "Some silence would be marvelous," she replied, "although I do have striking news that concerns you. More specifically, your kin..."

She flipped the cork cap off of one of the samples, and drew it closer to her ski-slope nose. A particularly strong waft of bitter minotaur's blood filled her nostrils, and they instinctively crumpled upwards like a twitching house rabbit's.

"So a friend of mine saw a curious sight very early this morning: a single lightning cloud lingering over the academy in the midst of a sunny sky." Ruth uncrossed her legs, and carried the swatch of red monster fluid with her as she opened the door to her room. "Now, I've always been one to applaud the notion that this school is a like a magnet when it comes to drawing in unrealistic weather. However, with the time that this cloud should arrive, it's even more chimerical to assume that this single cloud is nothing but abiotic. Clearly, Zeus has made an appearance. And if my theory is correct, he has come down from Olympus to pass on an extremely important message. Something I believe to be intriguingly dangerous in subject...."

While she gave this grand disquisition, the seventeen-year-old searched through the compartments of the large wooden chest next to her bed. She even phased through the wall every so often, as if pacing in thought and worry. Suddenly, she gave a paroxysm of petulance as she raucously groaned and shook her clenched hands.

"That moron of a cleaning lady must have put my microscope back in the chemistry lab like she does every two weeks despite the fact that I diligently remind her not to EVERY YEAR!" with ungraceful swiftness, Ruth checked underneath the bed for her device, only to bang her hand against the floorboards in disappointment.

She sighed. "Well, it looks like I must be off to retrieve my lost possession. Kindly put those blood samples in the freezer, will you?" she asked her roomate before retreating to the front door. She expected the girl to give a disapproving retort, as most human beings would in this situation, but before Spencer could say anything, Ruth decided to fill the silence one last time.

"Oh, and a request. I do believe that the vast majority of students at this academy will not know about the thunder cloud incident that occured today, as most adolescents do not possess the determination to pry their eyes open before seven in the morning. So my dear roomate, I do ask that you keep the morsel of information I have just shared with you between the two of us. Don't want pointless gossip orbiting around the entire school, now do we?"

With a wink, Ruth Reyes gently slammed the half-opened door in front of her, and hastily made her way to the chemistry lab.

"Yep. Waiting on you babe." Jensen replied as he led the way to the cafeteria for some much needed breakfast. He couldn't help but think about the fact that Amanda's phone has been going off nonstop this morning, and the fact that the only person that he's really talked to, on purpose, has been Amanda. She was so much more popular than him, more well ajusted to the academy than him. Most times without her, or Tristen he'd just feel like the odd man out. Of course it's his fault for the most part. His interactions with most people were no more better than his with the little sis eariler. Mostly him being a sarcastic, cocky ass.

These sort of thoughts swam around in his head. To him Amanda's way too good for him. Though he's not exactly sure what they are other than bang buddies. A part of him does want to be actual boyfriend, and girlfriend with her, but then the more dominate part of him is afraid of what she'd think of him when she really got to know him. He remained quiet during the walk over there, thinking more, and more about what's going to happen to them when the year is up.

"So...uh...you nervous about graduating?" He asked, breaking the silence. "As much as I hate to admit it, I think I might miss this place when I'm gone. So weird, I didn't even want to come to this place to from the start. And now, it's about the only thing I've thought of as home for awhile. Life can have a sense of humor." He stated. He hoped by the way he was talking he didn't seem like some kind of deep thinker, or something like that. "Doubt they'd be singing my praises when I leave." He muttered to himself.

It didn't take long for them to make to the cafeteria. "So, how about you go find us a table, and I'll get us some grub? Sound like a plan?" He asked. He figured she had someone already lined up to meet for breakfast. "I'm guessing you've already got someone to meet up with huh? I don't wanna embarrass you in front of your friends." He asked with a slight smirk.
